Hey guys so for today's video we are gon na. Do a faux topsy tail fishtail, looking braid, so you're only gon na need one or two hair ties, and that is it. So, as you know, with the topsy tail braid, you have to keep using hair elastics and this one just just wait: you're going to love it. So let's go ahead and get started. So you could wear this braid up in a ponytail. You could wear as pigtails or do a side braid, which i'm going to show you how to do as a side braid today and i'll also show you how to do a ponytail today. So we have our hair pulled over to the side. What you want to do is just kind of pull your hair tie down a little bit and we're going to create a flip-through braid, so just create a hole by just pulling your hair open. Like this, you see the hole right in the center you're going to take your ponytail flip it up through that hole and just push all of it through. So it should look something like this. So now the fun part you're going to take your hair tie and you're going to move it down about an inch like that. So then you just want to create another hole. So you don't want to go right in the middle. You kind of want to go to the right side or the left side, so i just kind of alternate back and forth, so i'm going to go a little bit over to the right side and just create a hole and then flip my ponytail up through that Hole so it should look something like that and then you just want to tighten it. So here is our hair tie and you're just going to do this all the way down. So again, i'm just going to pull my hair tie down about an inch like that and do the same thing so just go over to the left side now create a hole flip your ponytail up through that hole all of it through that hole. So there we go, tighten it and then just keep going so i'm going to take my ponytail pull it down. So if you do what i just did it's okay just tie it back how it was and restart so just pull your ponytail down and then just do another flip-through braid. So i'm going to come over here, open up a hole flip it through and look how good that looks. You don't even have to know how to fish tail and it looks like a fish tail looks like a pull through braid. It looks so cool um. So, let's just keep going, i'm gon na go all the way down to about here. Go a little bit down, create a hole flip it through just like that and i'll do one more. So just go a little bit down, create a hole flip it there and then so. This is what it looks like this is our faux braid tie it tight, and this is what it looks like. I think it looks so cool. No one would know that this was the way that you did it um. It'S just really fun really different. So i'm going to show you guys it up close and then show you what it looks like as a ponytail in the back of my head too. So for the ponytail you just want to put up in a ponytail, then go a couple inches down, take a hair tie and then just tie off a little section. Then we do the same steps so just create a hole and then take your ponytail and flip. It up through that hole, just pull off all of your hair through and then do the same thing as we did with the side. Ponytail just take your hair tie, pull it an inch or so down and then you're just going to create another hole on your right or your left side and then just take your ponytail and flip it up through that hole that you created and keep going just Pull your hair tie down after you tighten it about an inch or so down and then create another hole on your opposite side and then just flip your ponytail up through, and you just keep doing that all the way down. So i think this is a really cool way to get that fishtail kind of look, whether you know how to braid or don't know how to braid. I know - sometimes i just don't want to do a fishtail because it takes a while to do versus other braids. So this is a really cool way to do it. Also. I was thinking that you could do this as a really cute bun. If you didn't want to wear the ponytail so just take that ponytail wrap it around itself, bobby pin it into place, and it would give you a really adorable bun. I wish i would have showed you guys in this video but try it at home. Let me know what you think also, let me know what you think: do you like the ponytail option better? Do you like the side option better? Personally, i think i, like the side option better, but i want to hear from you and i want to hear what you guys think and here's what it looks like when we are finished, so that is it. That is the video i just have one little nugget today, the other one is napping, but let me know which way you like it better. Do you like it in the ponytail or do you like it in the side braid. Have you guys tried this? Will you be trying it? Let me know in the comments below don't forget to like subscribe, leave a comment, and i will see you guys my next video mwah bye,

Therése Wallentin: So cute. Really like the side braid, but it would probably look good with two braids as well. I agree with what you said that regular fish tail braids can take a long time, especially if you’ve got very long hair. I’ll definitely try this. Thanks Lainey

Samantha Chung: I like the side braid. Yes I would try this. A few minutes of prep time in the morning and it looks like it could hold up all day. Thank you for sharing. Love your makeup & fall flannel shirt.

Marisabel Rauh: Can’t wait to do it myself! Love the fish tail but never able to learn how to do it! Thank you! Your baby is simply adorable

7027CATHY: Amazing tutorial, thank you I love both braids. I will try them and I love the idea as two braids. I still do love doing my hair in the true fishtail braids, but these hairstyles are beautiful too. I've done my hair in two true fishtail braids, I like that hairstyle too. Your babies are adorable. ❤️❤️

Danielle Hughes: Just tried the side braid and it worked great! I have a lot of texture and fishtail doesn’t always translate well with my hair, this actually looked more like it than if I actually braided it

D Jones: Just what I've been looking for. You're ideas are amazing! Thanks

Gracie Lou Freebush: Thank you so much, love your videos! Your boys are adorable! For me, side do! My hair is 3"-1/2" long & still growing!

Alison Thomson: The side braid looks really cute! I do fancy trying this and then using it to make a bun though x

Trish: I love the side braid more! Also that is really cool, thanks for showing this in a video.

Brea Ell: I love this! It's so cute and easy!Your right fish tails do take a while to create them and looks like it only takes mins and its done and definitely looks the same way.

Flora C: Wow this is so cool I’ve already decided I’m attempting the ponytail tomorrow!

Impawsible Cuteness: This is so simple, but it looks so good and it's much easier than doing a fishtail. Thank you again ❤︎

・oldfashionedfireseeker・abby: SO dang easy! Trying this tonight as soon as I'm done with school! <3

Carolyn: I don’t know if you came up with this, but I’m just gonna say that you did. You’re a genius! I could never get the one with the mini elastics to look right, I’m definitely trying this! Thanks for sharing your wonderful hairstyles and tips with us!!

Patricia Najjar: Really forward to trying the hack fishtail tomorrow! You are so pretty and so very talented! LOVE watching all of your tutorials! Don't ever stop❣️ xoxo for you and your cute baby!

Dielle Thurston: I liked both the ponytail and the side braid. SO easy and SO pretty!!

Gina Galluccio: Very cool. My hair is pretty thin, so I wonder how it'd work with extensions. I'll have to give it a try and let you know! Thanks for the great idea.

Arras10: I like it in the side braid the best! Cute as always

streampup: I wanted to say thank you , I have long hair and I had no idea what to do with it other than put it into a ponytail. Very pretty and easy to follow.

Jenna Egan: Love the side braid. I absolutely love the colour tones in your hair. It’s fab. Nash Is so big and adorable, a blonde baby too. He was darker haired born was he ? Love your videos always sharing the hair secrets ty x

Gena cat: This is nice! I struggle so much to do the regular fish tail. I can't get it down for the life of me

Charu Shekhar: Nice! I will have to try it out <3

Rachel George: I can't wait to try this. I like the way each of them look, but ponytails are super uncomfortable for me. My hair weighs down my hairline and it hurts after like half an hour!

Tracey Wassenberg: I LOVE this!!!!

Jennifer Rice: Very cool! I like fishtail braids but they do take a while to do. I like the side braid better.

Lily Mayra: Liked both braids Your son is so adorable ☺️

Kimberley Chavelle: Extremely cute

A Warnke: I'm more a ponytail in the back the back type of person so it isn't in my way. It looks good both ways. I think I will try it for my bun on Wednesday this week. I wear bun every Wednesday. I want to try some of your messy buns. I have only wrapped around and around a smooth but for years. It is time to try something fun. The one time I tried a messy bun before I did not like it.

Emily Craig: Hi Thanks for another great video! Your hair is so gorgeous and thick. How is your hair taking these braids out? Does it get knotty? I have long hair but it's very very thin and fragile (combination of having naturally pale blonde fine hair and sun damage!) and I don't want to get my hair in a mess of tangles as it breaks so easily! Oh and baby boy!

Nazat Sakellaropoulou: I like the side one What a cute little baby many kisses and hugs to both your babys Much of love to you all from Greece ❤️❤️❤️

girlwithglasses🥸🥸: Omg SO CUTE I LOVE IT

Jenny Barrett: Omg thank you sooooooo much

Katherine Klevenow: Side braid and yes, I will be trying it. My hair is very thin, I hope I have enough to do it

Helen Bunter: Off to try it now!

Stacey Saunders: No more hand cramps trying to fishtail

Lou Quizo: I will try it tomorrow, side braid is better thanks for sharing.

American Patroit: For me the side pony is prettier but the cute kid at the end was the best!

Westin Britt: I would recommend you talk about fast hair growth fortified shampoo.

Luke and Layne: I like it on the side

Norma Agnew: side braid for me.xx

Hermine Nazari: Like like sideway

shelliessmile74: Side!

Joanne D' Mello: I like the ponytail better
