I hope you enjoy the video and, if you do enjoy the video please hit the like button. Um hit the subscribe button hit all on the bell. Icon and you'll be up notified of any more videos which i upload in the future. I will be doing a tutorial on um the five point levy and the six point levee that i figured out and um. Thank you very much for watching have a great night great day, keep on hooking thanks hi, welcome to paulie's crochet creations, i'm tori your hostess and i'm going to attempt to do a tutorial on a lovely around a hair tie. This will be a four point levy. I will try and do the traditional one if you want to do the one that i like to do, then you just put it pretty much, do a stitch in each stitch to start off with you're going to take your hair tie your crochet hook and your Yarn, you tie, i always tie a knot in the on the hair tie first, just to anchor it. I take the crochet hook and i wrap it around just to make a stitch, a single crochet. Then i'm going to chain or i'm going to single crochet 36 single crochet around this hair tie. So you put your hook underneath the hair tie, pull up a loop yarn over and try and get your your tail because you're going to crochet over the tail. So try and get your tail to lay down yarn over and pull through two loops. Okay, so again underneath pull up a loop yarn over pull through two. That'S two, three, four: five: six: seven, eight, nine ten! Okay! Now, what i'm going to do is i'm going to pause the video when you have when i have 36 stitches on the hair tie, then i will come back and show you the second step: 33, 34, 35 and 36. Okay, so i've got 36 stitches. Then i slip stitch to this first one. Okay, now i'm going to show you the traditional one today um then i will make up um another one of the one that i like to do the granite square that i like to do, but today i'll show you the traditional one so we're gon na. I always start with the corner. Just so i don't screw up, counts, um or mess up counts. So i chain three, some people chain two, i chain. Three, then i do in the same stitch as the slip stitch. I do two double crochets. Okay, actually we're going to do three double crochets chain, two and three double crochets. Actually, sorry! So that's two double crochets, then i do a third double crochet. Okay, then you chain two and then you do three more double crochets in that same stitch. So in that first stitch that we we are doing for the corner, you will have three double crochets chain: two: three double crochets: okay, okay, so now we skip two stitches, so we're gon na skip this stitch in this stitch and we're gon na do three double Crochets in this stitch one two and three double crochets, then you skip two stitches, so we're gon na skip this stitch and this stitch and we're gon na do three double crochets in this stitch. So in between the two, the two corners, you will have two rounds of three double crochets so because this is your corner, that's two, four, six, eight! So your next round. So this is one batch of double crochets and two two batches of double crochets. So you're going to skip two stitches and then we're going to do another corner so we're going to skip this stitch in this stitch and we're gon na do three double crochets chain: two: three double crochets in this next stitch. So two three double crochets chain: two and then three more double crochets back in this same stitch: okay, one two and three okay, so that's corner number two then you're going to skip two stitches, so you skip this one and this one and you're doing three: double Crochets in this stitch, one two and the third double crochet in this stitch now, for some reason, the yellow is not too good to do a tutorial with because it keeps going out of focus. Okay, so then you're gon na skip two more stitches. So you skip this stitch and you skip this stitch and you're gon na do three double crochets in this stitch here yarn over and so you're skipping this one and you're skipping this one you're gon na do three double crochets in this one, one, two three okay, Then you skip this one and you skip this one. Now we're gon na do a corner in this stitch here. So you go three double crochets chain, two, three double crochets, two, three double crochets! Then you chain two and you do three more double crochets back in that same stitch, two and three: more double crochets. Okay! So that's corner number three, so you got one two three corners now you're gon na skip that one and you're gon na skip that stitch and you're gon na do three double crochets in the third stitch. Okay, so one two and three sorry about the movement earlier. It was my cat walking across to get on to the floor, so you're going to skip two stitches, one, two and you're going to do three double crochets in the third stitch, so skip that one skip that one and you do three double crochets in this stitch. Okay, so that's one two and three double crochets. Now we're going to be on a corner again, i don't know yeah we're gon na be on a corner again, so you skip two stitches one two and then this one here we're doing three double crochets chain. Two. Three double crochets so skip that one skip that one and you do three double crochets in this one, one, two three, then you chain two one two and you do three double crochets in this one. Now i'm only going to do that's two and three double crochets. Okay, so i'm going to only do this row or this round and then the second round, and then you just can proceed on your own um. So three double crochets chain, two three double crochets. Then we skip two stitches, so we're skipping this one and this one and we're going to do three double crochets in this one. Two three skip that one and that one and we're doing skip that stitch in that stitch. We'Re doing three double crochets in this one. One two and three double crochets: now you have two stitches left this one and this one so you're going to slip stitch in the third chain from the hook or the third chain from the bottom. So you slip stitch into this chain here, actually slip stitch and i always slip stitch to the corner. So i can start in the corner because it's easier and you slip stitch and i'm in the corner now. So that's what it's gon na look like. So you have your spaces: three double crochets space, three double crochet space in between the corners; so the second round, you're in your corner, so you're gon na do three double crochets one, two or a chain. Three, then you do three double crochets chain. Two three double crochets, it's two, three! Okay! So now what you're gon na do is. Okay, you got three double crochets chain. Two three double crochets, now you're going to look for your next chain space or your next, your your next space; okay! So there's a space right here so then you're gon na go right into there and you're gon na do three double crochets. Then you go into the next one: three double crochets. Next one three double crochets and when you get to the corner, you do three double crochets chain: two: three double crochets; okay, so three double crochets, two and three okay. So then, we're gon na go to the next space, which is that one and we do three double crochets, two three. Okay, then we're going to the next space, which is this one, and we do three double crochets one: two and three. Okay, now we're gon na go to the corner. So in the corner, you remember three double crochets chain, two, three double crochets in the corner: okay, so one two three, then you chain two and three more double crochets in that corner, one and two and three. The thing i like about this is that you can actually make the blanket as big as you want, or as little as you want. You can do different stitches to these blankets as well, depending on the square that you want to do so far. I'Ve done the traditional granny square and i've done the granny square with all this um stitches have a double crochet, so you're looking for the next chain space or the next space, and you do three double crochets and you just keep going on around the square like This then your next space, which is there three double crochets and, like i said you can adjust these lovey blankets to as big as you want them, or as little as you want them. Your next base three double crochets. Then your corner you're doing three double crochets chain: two: three double crochets chain: two and three double crochets. Now one thing i'll: let you know that when you're doing these blankets, um? Okay, so that's the corner, so the first row, here's your corner and here's your corner! You'Re gon na have two clusters in between the corner: your next row: here's your corner and here's your corner, so you're gon na have one two three clusters. Then your next row you will have you will increase by one cluster. I think it is er. Okay, that's two clusters: this is three clusters, so you'll increase by one extra cluster on each row: okay, so we're gon na go and we're gon na do keep going around um. There'S your next space. So you do three double crochets one, two! Three then, in your next space, one two and three, then in your next space you go one two and three so now you're back in the corner, then you're gon na go three double crochets chain; two three double crochets in this corner. So you just always remember that in the corners it's three double crochets chained to three double crochets. Now this is a traditional way to do it. I do it a little bit differently and i will do a tutorial on how i actually do my own granny squares. My own lovey blankets, because i don't like i don't do them the way everybody else does them just because i like to be different. So your next corner or your next stitch is in there three double crochets two and three double crochets. Then your next one, three double crochets one, two and three double crochets. Then you should have one more space which is right there. I need to do three double crochets two and three double crochets come on get back there; okay, three double crochets, so you got three double crochets in each of the stitches around and you're back to where you began. So you slip stitch in here and, like i said, i always slip stitch to the corner because i find it easier to start off in the corners. So that is how you do your traditional granny square, around a hair tie. I hope this helps out people and i hope you can see the video okay if you haven't subscribed to my channel.
