Plastic Spiral Hair Ties?! Do They Actually Work?! | Sarah Brithinee

Expand for more!

Thanks so much for watching my review of the plastic spiral hair ties! I’ve seen these around for a long time now, but have always been so skeptical if they work or not so I figured I’d put them to the test! I slept with my hair in a ponytail and I show you what it looks like after a full night up. I love testing out new products and seeing if they’re worth the money or not. If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and don’t forget to subscribe! xoxo, Sarah

Hey guys, Sara here welcome back to my channel. Today we were going to be talking about these plastic spiral. Hair ties, I'm sure, you've seen a version of these floating around and I was just really curious if they actually worked or if they were just a big gimmick. So if you're interested in finding out with me, then keep watching and if you're new here don't forget to subscribe before you leave, so you don't miss any of my future videos. Alright, let's get into it. So the brand that I tried is the invisible the traceless hair ring. I have the original kind. This is what the packaging looks like. This pack came with three of them in there and it was $ 7.99. I got it from Ulta and I will link them down below. I know that there's a few different options out there and I don't really know which is the original one. I want to say that it was this one, but I'm not a hundred percent sure. I know that there's also a brand called tell it. Tele ties, maybe - and I think that one's been around for a while too, but those are the two ones that I've heard of, but I just got the clear ones, and I got the original. I know that they have smaller ones and they also have power ones which are bigger and stronger. I think, but I just got the original ones, so I figured the best way to test these out would be to sleep with a ponytail and see if I have any kinks. So I let my hair air dried. This is my hair. I did not blow dry. It I didn't do anything I literally got out of the shower combed it and I just let it air dry. So it's very straight, but it has no product in it and I'm getting ready to wash my face and go up to bed. So I figured now would be the perfect time I'm gon na sleep with a ponytail in and then see if I have any kinks in the morning, and so since I haven't straightened my hair and I don't have any product in it, I figured this would be A true test because there's no products or anything in my hair that would make it seem straighter for longer, like I haven't flat ironed it and I haven't put any like curl spray or anything like that in my hair, it's literally just air dried. So if there's going to be a kink, it's going to be now so I'm just putting in my hair on top of my head and then I'm just gon na put this around three times and then I will wake up in the morning and then we will See what this looks like in the morning I'll come back down and see if I have any kinks or what this ponytail looks like alright, goodnight, alright guys it is next morning, and I have not done anything with my hair, as you can see just these short Pieces have fallen out which is to be expected, but let's take out this ponytail and see what we are working with. Okay, so it doesn't look like there is a crease Wow, I kind of don't believe I'm like I can see it in the viewfinder, but I feel like I'm gon na grab him here: Wow yeah, no crease whatsoever. That is so crazy. So this this is what it looks like out of the box, I've hair all over it, and then this is what last night's looks like. So it definitely it stretched out, but I think it'll go back. Is that on the website that if they do get stretched out, you can put them in the Sun and then they kind of stretch or they like go back to how they were yeah? This held my hair, as you can see, the only pieces that were out of it were just the front pieces, but nothing else fell out of my ponytail. It stayed up all night, which is crazy and I'm in shock right now that I don't have a ponytail crease cuz that was up for over 12 hours, so that is insane okay, and I also noticed that it really just kept my hair up really well. So I think that these would be great to work out with, and I'm just gon na try and do a messy bun. I'M gon na grab the smaller one, because this one is a little bit stretched out. So I'm just gon na grab this one and see how it works for a messy bun, because my hair is so fine and so straight, naturally, that it's just hard to keep up in general. So hair ties don't really like to like stay in it. Okay, so that was interesting I feel like I was like grabbing all of these little things put your hair gets caught in between each one, so I feel like it. I only wrapped it around twice and obviously this looks terrible, but it felt like it really grabbed. All of my hair, so I feel like it would stay in decently. Well, okay, so my overall review is that I am very impressed with these. I am in shock that I didn't have a ponytails crease kink, whatever you know what I mean, but I'm in shock that I didn't have one, because if I leave my hair, the new ponytail for that long, I always have one, especially if it's tight enough that It'S staying up all night, so yeah. I definitely recommend trying these out. This was really cool and very shocking, so yeah. That is everything for this video. I hope that you guys enjoyed. If you did, please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe before you leave, so you don't miss any of my future videos thanks. So much for watching bye, guys,

Alexis Satterfield: I love Teleties. I get headaches if my hair is pulled up for to long no matter what type of hair tie I used. And when I finally switched over to Teleties I never had that problem since then. So far I have a total of 5 Teleties. I used to have 6 but I mailed one to my mom because I wanted her to try them out. I have the smaller ones. The color I have are; 2 pinkish blue mixed, one white, one yellow, and one royal blue. I will never go back to a regular hair tie ever again.

Andrea: I love teleties. They broke? Burn the ends and keep them together until cool (less than a minute). Did it stretch? Put it in hot water. Don't want to keep it in hot water? Cut it and make two out of them. Don't like how they look? Cut it and use it for a handmade crunchie (burn the ends to fix it) I used 2 for more than a year and recently bought more becaude I really like them!

Maryrose Nicole: I’ve gotten one today! And I love it! Doesn’t pull at all! Sooooo comfy haha ❤️

Natalie Johnson: They are also sold at dollar tree! You get like 3 or 4 for 1$ they have the small size and the big size

lovelyrosebw: A keys bungee cord is now a hair tie, that’s so funny to me lol reinventing an old product I guess ‍♀️

Chalis Wright: Your video was perfect! Answered all my questions before I buy my own

Alyxandrea Jade: I just got a few today and am trying them out. The main thing is I'm so used to tight ponytails that I find i am constantly trying to tighten this one, because it FEELS loose, but I can't pull my hair to tighten it, and it's actually NOT loose. It's just pulling my scalp into painful torture. Weird how used to that I am. I love that it doesn't leave creases that is the absolute worst part about wearing ponytails all the time.

Audrey: I use these all the time and i LOVE IT

Sonia R: When I take my hair down with these hair ties, I notice big clumps of hair come off every time. I think because the hair gets caught, like you said, also because my hair is wavy. Other than that I love them.

Devona Bates: I got a three pack from a website for a dollar. I wore one to work it’s not bad, very sturdy

Sylvia Tran: Favorite Brand: Lindo Large SwirlyDo's & have stuck w/ them for more than 10 years now (not to give my age away). My stylist gave these to me upon returning from a trip from Hawaii. I have super straight & slick hair so most hair ties slide out during workouts and just in general. I primarily use these as an alternative to curling irons... I will put product in my damp hair, twist it up into a bun and then hours later, I have what looks like a natural wave through my hair. For a long time my friends confused my hair tie as a bracelet accessory. Dual functional? perhaps.

ryann: Put it in hot water if they stretch.

MsGalagramma: I would use a good hair clip istead. My favorite Slim Chic and basic from Zhooch. Bought on Amazon . It's clear and super strong!

Trina Stovall: I love this product!!

Violent Savior: Hey ladies and long haired guys, i'm growing out my hairs. Is it okay if i put my hair in a loose bun while still damp or is it a No no? I hate the feeling of damp hair sticking to my face.

Creative Squirrel Studio: I just did a google search for these, and your video was one of my first hits. :) I love how surprised you are when they actually work. You’re so cute. <3

user: I got a couple for Christmas. Tomorrow at my school is parcc testing so these will be very comfy to wear!

Xochitl E. Muñoz: Would these work on thick hair? My daughter has a bunch of hair and it's very thick hair at that. So I'm trying to teach her to brush and simple style it on her own. Ponytails, pig tails, half ponies and later on hopefully braiding it. She's having trouble using the average hair ties (scruncii's no metal elastic) and holding her hair through a whole school day. I thought maybe these coil ties will be better and easier for her type of hair. What do you think?

God's Amazing Grace: these coil hair ties damage my hair the coiled section literally trap and twist my fine limp hair, good quality and expensive but not ideal /suitable for my hair type

Emily Gestl: Also if you put them in hot water or blow them with a blow dryer on warm they will shrink back to their original size.

Amy Santiago: You can get high quality hair ties at five below for $2 and you get 5 it is awesome

RobinCoffins: god damn, wish my hair would air dry that straight.. mine just turns into a wavy hot mess. EDIT: I bought some yesterday and god damn, it does actually work. Woke up with my hair still in a ponytail and not off to the side with the top of my head lookin massive. Then 2 naps (cos why not, its christmas holidays!) with my hair in a bun and its still in a bun. Its been in a bun for like 12hrs. UNHEARD OF FOR ME! I have longish hair (down to the top of my butt) and really thick, i aint washing it everyday and these are freakin great for keeping it up while i shower! I WISH I GOT THESE SOONER! I'm recommending them to anyone that just wants their long hair outta the way! Good luck girls (and guys)

Linda Vallot: I am in shock too omg I need this

Neva2L82geteven: Head Kandy puts out a great brand of these spiral elastics.

ch3rryp1t: Are these good for rly long hair?

Machi Giceb: Mine keeps on breaking after a couple of use because I have really thick hair.

【ɐpɐɹıP ɐuɐʇıdɐC】Elena: Those are really expensive lol Just get one from the supermarket, it's gonna be like $1 and you'll get more than 1, and they do exactly the same xdddddd

sf sf: Does it pull out hair as you take your hair out of a bun or ponytail?

Paula Johnson: I got one yeserday and it pretty cool might have get more

laurel jade: LOVE THEM.

Deer daddy: i always need something on my wrist or i feel naked hahahaha. so i wear a teletie all the time.

Matthew Brown: Do you use a detangling comb

Matthew Brown: You should use a detangling comb

Lisa Smith: put them in warm water and they'll go back to shape.

Ash Studio: I just go sine and they hurt my hair

Millie Kyle: Don’t sleep with ur hair up it’s snaps it omg worst thing to do jeez

randooomy toys: Not bad

the_MB _family: haaaaay how are you

prairiegirl: Redundant talking.
