In this video, I show you how to make an easy and adorable ponytail holder that looks like a lollipop! These make great gifts for Easter baskets or for any occasion. Thanks for watching! Happy crafting everyone!

On the good ship, lollipop hi, everyone - this is Maria, and today I'm going to show you how to make this adorable lovely pop ponytail holder, to make this project you're going to need a package of styrofoam balls. These are the 2-inch styrofoam balls and they have some texture to them. You can see the glittery look to them. You do not want to get the smooth styrofoam balls because they will not work for this project. So just remember not the smooth ones, the ones that have a bit more texture and a glittery look to them, and so these are 2-inch styrofoam balls, you're also going to need a package of lollipop sticks and they come in really pretty different colors. I purchased these at Michael's in the candy making section you're also going to need some lollipop plastic sleeves, and you can also purchase these at your craft store in the candy. Making section you're also going to need some white glue I'll be using this tacky glue. But Elmer's glue works just as well do not use hot glue because hot glue and styrofoam they just don't work well together. You'Re also going to need some colorful ribbon or some twisty ties. Some scissors and you're also going to need some colorful ponytail holders like these. That I purchased at our local 99-cent only store. I also purchased these at our local 99-cent store, and I think you can find these almost anywhere. So I want to show you one of these styrofoam balls a little bit closer and you can see the glittery look to it and the rough texture. So I've opened up my ponytail holders and so let's go ahead and we're just going to take hold of our Styrofoam ball, we're going to stretch the ponytail holder and so we're just going to put it on just like this and they may pop off. Sometimes, but not like, if you use one of the smooth ones, and so you want to alternate the colors and just go different ways, and so we're going to do a couple of these. So we'll try the other ponytail holders too, and so let's go ahead and do this one so right now I'm working with. I think I have 24 here because there's 12 in a package these are really cute and you can see these ponytail holders. Look at this. The fabric just curls in and so let's go ahead and do that and then let's take this pretty orange one and let's see oh this one's really pretty. I think we already have one of those it's really pretty and now you're not going to cover all of this white, but we do want to get most of it and that's okay, because the eye really just goes to all of the color. All the pretty colors. On this lollipop this one right here, this one's pretty I want to cover and let's see, let's go here - it's looking really cute. So I'm going to put another green one on. I love these. If you don't have a 99-cent store in your area, I'm sure you can find these like at Walmart Target and probably any dollar store. Let'S put another orange one on here, so we have 10 on here. Let'S go ahead and put two more so I'm going to take this one and we have one more: let's see what colors we have left. Okay. So let's take one more of these. This next step is super simple and so we're taking our lollipop stick and you see the area where the white area of the styrofoam, so you want to go right there. It could be any one of these areas and then we're going to take some white glue and we're going to put the white glue on the tip of this lollipop. Stick: it's going to put some white glue and then once you put this in there, you want to give it time to dry. So you could put these like on a paper plate or a cookie sheet, or something and just take them outside, and so I'm going to take that space right there and I'm just going to puncture. This right ends gon na push that right in okay and if you want so I'm just going to drop another couple of drops of glue in here and then I'm putting the lollipop stick in and I'm pushing it in just a little bit more. You don't want to go all the way you guys, okay, so there it is, and so what I'm going to do is I'm going to make a few more and I'm going to set them outside on my patio, while there's a little bit of sunshine out there. So they can dry so before we go on, I want to share these lollipop sticks that I purchased at Joanns. These are so cute. I really love them, and so the reason these don't work is because they are a hollow just like the straw, and so when I applied any pressure. Even from this point, or at this point, they've bent just like the straw, and so you want to make sure you don't get these - these are a little bit fatter than these. Let me show you, and so these here work perfectly because they are solid as you can see, and so these also come in white and I think I saw them in blue, but I did purchase these pink ones at Michaels, so here they are - and I have These sitting outside on my patio for about an hour, and there was a really nice breeze, and so I think that just helped them to dry a little bit quicker and so anyways. You can just leave them on your counter overnight and they should be dry in the morning. So my ribbon wasn't long enough, and so I just have to stop a little bit and cut some more ribbon, and so I'm using 16 inch long ribbon, and so that just gives you enough to make a bow. And then, if you need to trim it, then you can trim it and so yeah. This works a lot better and these are really cute, and so I'm just using some scrap ribbon that I have, and so here we go. That looks cute you guys so here they are my lollipop ponytail holders. I think they turned out really super cute, and these make really nice gifts. You can put them in Easter baskets and if you could find these ponytail holders in different colors like red, white and blue, or maybe Christmas, colors or Halloween colors, you can give these out all year long for different seasons. Thanks for watching, everyone happy crafting and I'll talk to you soon, bye, bye,
