I love how my lovelies I just had to because of my shirt. I think it's so summery. I can't wait for summer. I'M so excited welcome back to my channel and I am doing the video you guys asked for well. I asked you and you guys answered so that's what we're doing today updated version of how to curl my hair with a flat iron or a straightener. This right here is the natural state of my hair after I blow-dry it. So that's what it looks like I haven't done anything else. I washed my hair yesterday and blow-dried it yesterday and then I decided to do the video today and I will be using my bio, ionic, 10x straightener or flat iron. Before I turn on my straightener, I'm going to take a towel or something gentle and wipe off whatever is on my plate, just because I sometimes use my straightener when I have hair products, for example, dry [, __, ], unders life, and I may not mention any Names, marina, I'm just kidding my sister loves, making fun of her no, but seriously like this is what I always do to just take. A clean towel doesn't have to be wet or anything and just make quickly just wipe off any excess. That'S on your flat iron or your place, just to make sure it doesn't get stuck in your hair. There is no gunk on it. That'S kind of the biggest thing, not cleaning your flat iron yeah. That would be awesome, though, and I already have the heat protectant Brio Joe, the Razak. Oh boy, dry, perfection, heat protectant cream. I use this last night. I am now going to be applying extra heat protectant, I'm going to set my flat iron at 320 degrees, Fahrenheit and a heats up so quick, I'm gon na turn the vibrating plates on there. We go all right. So the first thing is: I'm gon na section off my hair and then I'm gon na brush out my hair just to make sure there are no knots just make sure my are nice and smooth and I've been using this hairbrush by the brand Denman, and I Got this from Sally beauties and it's basically nylon bristles and boar bristles into one brush, I'm not even kidding. I honestly think it's making my hair shinier and healthier. If that's impossible, I don't think it is, but I keep telling myself that it is so I keep using it because it makes my hair feel incredible. All righty, let's start doing H, so I'm gon na take a section of hair with these kind of waves. I like to alternate my waves so pretty much what that means. Is you take one section of hair and you curl it away from your face, and then you take another section. You curl it towards your face. It gives me her this beautiful textured. Look that I love, so this is what I like to do. The first section up here, that's closest to my face. I'M gon na take it away from my face and then alternate the next section towards my face next section away next section towards next section away. I know genius take my flat iron and I always like to point it down. So I'm gon na take my hair into my flattering and very gently. Just twist away was, and just very gently bring it down just like that. Sometimes I'll go back in just straighten the end, just to give a nice straight look so for the alternating wave, that's going towards my face. I do the same thing, but I'm gon na do the wave towards my face once and then go down very gently. Just like that artifact, oh, it is so easy. Ah so smooth honestly when I started, I pressed the Flatiron so hard and pulled it so hard, because I thought that would give me the best results and it literally damaged my hair. That was so bad. It'S so bad and I'm gon na do the same thing on the other side, but just switching my hands so my left hand on my right side right hand on my left side same thing, twist pull and then just bring it down. Now, let's move on to the second to the lair, I usually like to work in three sections, so one two and then three, the very top hair I save for last, because I think it gives me so much more dimension. I might have layers, but I'm trying to grow out. You guys always ask what can I hear? Could I have I used to get a very textured PC look, but then I noticed that my hair started to look very thin, so I stopped asking for that kind of haircut and I basically told her just to come in here straight as possible as blunt as Possible, I'm still growing out my layers but they're pretty much all the same length now, which I am very excited about and I'm so attempted to chop it off again, but I'm holding back and I'm trying to grow out my hair just a little bit more Andre Keeps telling me to go dark should I just saying change it up a little bit if you want. I have so many inspiration pictures on my phone, but I can't take the plunge and do it I'm just way too loyal to blonde hair. I love my blonde hair. Many of you probably don't know this about me, but when we just got married, I think maybe two months after we got married, I colored my hair dark. It was like this dark brown, the little hint of red in it. It was stunning, maybe I'll, insert a picture here or two pictures yeah. I kind of thought hey. I got married. Why now? I just do another drastic change and go complete opposite my hair color. I was extremely blonde and then we just changed. My hair color really dark, wear that, but I think I was going through something I mean I got married yeah. I got married moved out to Florida away from a family that I have lived with for so many years from New York to Florida yeah. That was a huge change, so I'm like whiteouts, make it even more dramatic and drastic all right last section, so I've been really loving at curling, my hair in the middle, so craning a middle part and then just curling on both sides. I don't know why, but I've been really loving the middle part on myself, but I also change it up pretty much every other day and with a very top section, I like to start from the very back I've been doing this for as long as I can Remember just to make sure I don't forget any hair in the back. It just kind of helps me ensure that all of my hair is taken care of they're, the same thing, alternating the sections with this front section or my fringe as I like to call it, because it is it's not too short, but it's shorter. What I like to do is I don't start at the very top. I will straighten it a little bit and then I will start twisting it and then all the way down, I'm gon na straighten this there we go just to make sure I don't have too much craziness happening right here. I don't want that wave at the very top. I don't know why I've been doing this, but I think it looks nice. It looks good with my hair all right, I'm almost done now before I run my fingers through my ways. I'M gon na add a little bit of texture spray throughout my hair, not focusing on the roads but like Midway to the ends of my hair, just to give it a little bit more volume and texture and hold, and I'm gon na be using the Amika undone Texture spray: you can obviously use hairspray dry shampoo, something that will add a little bit more texture and grit to your hair, because my hair is pretty silky right now, so I need something to give it that hold and there you have it. You want to make your hair's crazy as possible and you're all done. It was worth doing all that work for this craziness. It was like yeah like I woke up like this. Okay. Now, I'm just gon na run my fingers through my waves just to calm it all down a little bit for reals. Now I'm done just brush up my hair with my fingers. You can you obviously use a brush and that's pretty much it. It is super simple! Really fast, I mean, if I were you if this is your first time doing practice with a cold flatiron, just to kind of get your practice down. I would practice with a cold flat iron. That'S what I did and it really helped a lot. I hope you guys like this. It'S definitely giving me very beachy vibe, especially with this shirt, this hair, I'm living for it and I'm excited for summer, even though it's stunning outside right now, it's in the eighties yeah, it's stunning right now, so there we have it. I recently went with a shorter haircut, just above the shoulders, and have tried a few of your 'tricks', with little success... I have to admit I do not do well with using the flat iron in my non-dominant hand... seems very awkward, hoping it will get easier over time so my hair will look 'stylish'. d dd: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! This has been the ONLY tutorial that has worked for me and my hair. I think it's pointing the iron DOWN from above the hair that makes the difference. Any other way was making my hair straight with no curl. I just cut off 12" off my hair, it's just past my collarbone. THis makes it a bit of a challenge, especially doing the back. But just had to thank you for your detailed tutorial with great tips. I forgot I do need to clean my iron! And i love the dark hair on you!
