Tamron Hall: Why I Love My Short Hair | TODAY
My hairstylist is Johnny right. He also is the hairstylist for Michelle Obama's I've had this haircut, though, since I was 18 every two seconds there. There is a whole thing about Tim, your hair. What you're wearing thank you first time wearing natural hair in my life. Really yes, and thank much more than usually what happened that day. I was out in the wilderness with Bear Grylls, and I flew back from st. George Utah in the middle of the night to get my hair back straight. It'S a process, you know - and I just did not feel like going through that process. That day I had no, I knew people would notice. I did not realize that it would be a whole topic of conversation that resulted in you know in magazines and in the newspaper. Actually, my hair was fashioned off of Anita Baker. My boyfriend at the time was obsessed with Anita Baker loved her and I wanted to have Anita Baker here. As a result, I was 18 young woman's decision. When I got into cable news, my hair was short and it had been short in Chicago for ten years. I was an anchor and I never really thought about one way or the other that had short hair. I remember reading the most cool thing about my hair and person. You know speculated about. You know who I was as a person my personal life and said I must be lazy because I have short hair. It was just devastating. I grew my hair out. So if you look at pictures of me, 2009 you'll see my hair is for the first time. I had grown it out to this light, show just a little Bob thing and then finally, my mother said something, and I said I don't know why I care me and I went in immediately and cut my hair back and so such as it sometimes women get Sensitive about well people make a fuss about our hair on TV or in your life and all these things, but in reality it is a tool of connection, and so, if someone says I love that lipstick, I will always try to answer honestly. If I know what color it is or what foundation do you wear? It'S it's just! It'S a connective tissue, hello!
