Hey guys, I’m back with another hair cutting hack that you can do yourself in the comfort of your own home. Since Covid-19 happened, I’ve had a lot of request on how to cut hair straight and blunt instead of layered like my previous tutorial. Straight cut hair has been trending again for the past year and I love the simplicity of it. You DO NOT have to cut off as much hair as I did, in fact, I suggest you trim about 1-2 inches first to test out if this technique is doable for you. You can always trim off more later but if you accidentally cut too much off, you can’t put your hair back. Sharp hair cutting shears is a must and try to have fun with it! Good luck!

♥ If you decided to recreate any of these hairstyles on my channel, share/tag your recreations with me on instagram so I can like your picture! My username is @NEEBEBE. ^_^

On this channel you'll find videos on how to do various types of braids from dutch braids, french braids, crown braids, to 4-strand braids! But it doesn't end there, I try to share hairstyles that are cute, quick, easy, and wearable for everyday. If you want something extra, feel free to look through my hair tutorial playlist for more beautiful hairstyles that are perfect for proms, weddings if you’re a bride or bridesmaid, back to school, work, play, the list goes on. My hair tutorials work best on medium to long hair but I do have some short hair tutorials as well. If you feel like wearing your hair in a messy bun, half-up, half-down, updo, or just down with waves, browse through my playlist because I have hairstyles for women and girls.

If you have any video requests, let me know in the comments below and I'll try to incorporate them into my upcoming beauty videos. Thanks so much for watching and please SUBSCRIBE and hit that NOTIFICATION BELL so you never miss a new video. ^_^

Hey guys welcome back to my channel in this video, i'm going to show you how to cut your hair straight at home and if you prefer layered hair. I also have a video on that which i will place in the video description below. So without further ado. Let'S get started on this video, so first you'll need a hairbrush. You'Ll also need a rat tail comb to part your hair with, as well as some hair ties, and i recommend the ones with the strong grip you'll need hair, cutting scissors that are sharp and you can get these at any beauty, supply store and the last thing You'Ll need is a handheld mirror, so you can check out what your hair looks like at the back, so the best way to ensure that your at-home haircut comes out the way you want it to start off with dry hair and this technique works best. If your hair is clean and blow-dried straight, of course, if you don't have straight hair, you might have to start with wet hair. If you do that, keep in mind that when your hair dries, it will shrink to about two inches shorter, so first off brush your hair to make sure there aren't any knots and tangles. And then you want to part your hair, as you normally would and tie your hair at the back. So tie your hair into a low ponytail right at the top of your neck and make sure that it's placed right in the middle of your head. Tighten your ponytail and wrap a second hair tie right below the first one, and if you have long hair like mine, definitely add a third one, because this will give you control. As you cut your hair, if you've never cut your hair before start with very small minor cuts, obviously now is not the time to experiment with a drastic haircut guys. So the only reason why i cut a lot for mine is because i've cut my hair before and i kind of know what i like next, you want to pull the bottom two hair ties down to where you want to make your cut. So for me, i'm going to do it about halfway, because i actually want to get rid of a lot of length today. But, as i mentioned earlier, if you've never cut your hair before start by cutting about an inch or two off. And if you want to, you can always trim more of your hair later, because you can always trim more. But if you accidentally chop off more than you want, you can't put it back. Bring your ponytail to the front and cut your hair right below the second hair tie. So an important thing here is remember to use hairdressing shares, not crafting scissors or kitchen shares guys, because a lot of people have asked me - and i don't recommend it, because you will need sharp scissors for this cut slowly and carefully a little bit at a time. And once your ponytail is off, you can just continue to perfect that little nub and make sure it's nice and straight remove the hair tie and check the length of your hair. At this point, your hair will either have a rounded bottom edge or a slight curve, but don't worry, i will show you what to do next to achieve a completely straight back using a rat tail comb part your hair down the center of your head, going down To the nape of your neck, then drape the left side of your hair over your left, shoulder and drape the right side of your hair over your right, shoulder divide each side of your hair into two sections and tie them off with a hair tie. Doing this ensures that you cut each section straight so that you don't go back and forth on them too much for this tutorial. I want my hair at the back to be completely straight and right now the front is just a little bit longer. So while i'm point cutting my hair, i'm going to take off more length at the front but keep the length at the back now run your ponytail down in between your four fingers and your middle finger and fan off the bottom. Then you want to start point. Cutting and by doing this place your scissors at a 90 degree angle and make tiny little snippets in your hair using the points of the scissors doing this will soften the bluntness of the cut and can also hide small mistakes. So you want to just do a little bit more at the front, because i'm trying to get rid of more of the length and at the back, i'm just going to keep the length and get rid of any of the longer strands. So just do this until the edge of your hair looks straight and soft, remove the hair ties and comb through your hair to make sure that it's all straight. But if you find any extra long lengths, then just grab your scissors again and point cut until it's completely straight. So that's the only area i'm going to fix and when you're done with one side proceed to do the exact same thing. On the other side, [ Applause ] - and this is a great technique - if you just want to keep the length of your hair but get rid of the split ends and dry ends, and it will just make your hair look healthy overall, [ Applause ]. So i don't know if you can tell, but i kept the front of my hair just a tad bit longer, so that it looks almost like an a-line cut, and this is just personal preference. I have a different shaped head, so when i pull my hair to the back, it will look straight, but if you want your hair to found to look completely straight, then cut it straight. It'S completely up to you and finally, after you're done trimming your hair. You want to check if it's, even so just bring your hair to the front and make sure that both sides are the same length and finally, do one last check at the back using your handheld mirror, and i was pretty satisfied with my results. So i just left it, as is so. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and if you decide to give this haircut a try, then let me know how it goes in the video comments below and if you found this video helpful, don't forget to like and share and subscribe to my channel and hit That notification bell, so you never miss a beat thanks. Bebexo: Hey guys, I'm here to show you another hair hack on how to cut your own hair straight at home. Since the stay at home order, I've been getting a lot of email request for this tutorial. I hope you found it useful. Please like and share and don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already. New videos will be published every Friday so come back next week. ^_^

Renata Ikonora: Ok this is the first time I cut my own hair and I took a good 3 inches off of it following this tutorial and IT WORKS. I am so pleased with the results. I had to straighten my hair to the bone, because it's wavy-straight and I made sure to take my time straightening first. Then I followed the tutorial and did my own spin to cut the bits that were too long. But overall I am SO SO pleased and let me tell you that this actually works if you're patient, careful and NOT try to rush things. I had to tie my hair three times until I got it perfect, and then sectioning the hair to perfect it also took me a few attempts. But overall, thank you so much, you saved me $75 bucks!

Zaho0ratb: It feels like 2010 again

Kelsie Snyder: I finally did it. I finally cut my own hair! I have had a fear of cutting my own hair every since high school when I completely butchered it and spend six years growing my length back. This technique was surprisingly easy to follow and my hair looks great. Thank you!

Seula Leif: Well, I was impressed. Finally gave in to the pandemic home hair cut thing and after watching only this video I snipped my hair, over 6 inches. I've never cut hair before, but it looks so good! I am totally happy. Thanks for the advice, simply explained and easily accomplished.

Jackie M: This worked great! Especially for longer hair. My hair goals is how long your hair was before you cut it <3

Kyra Kagamine: I have literally never cut my own hair before and I used your video and I LOVE MY HAIR NOW! Thank you so much for sharing an easy way to do this! My length is perfect and I am a lot more confident about my appearance now! <3

Stephanie A: Thank you! Thank you!! So glad I watched your video. It worked great! Thanks for the tip to straighten my hair first. I have a lot of waves so I blow dried with a round brush and got it pretty smooth to start. I cut about 3 inches and it feels and looks so much better!!!

Crafty_Chatonath 'Nathalie': Thank you for this tutorial! The way I was doing it wasn't as easy and it was a pain to get my hair even. I followed your steps but with wet hair at first because I have better control that way, and then I redid some of the steps with dry hair for final touch ups. I love the results!

C Mitchell: Excellent tutorial! Had equally long hair, removed a comparable amount. Wear my 'old lady' hair in side braid but it was starting to get in the way so time to lop off some. Have cut my hair, at various lengths, over many years, and this was super quick and easy. Wasn't aiming for the evenness you achieved but very pleased with results. :)

The Soul's Compass Tarot: I just cut my own hair following your exact instructions and I'm really pleased with it! I worked a treat! Perfect for Covid 19! Thank you :)

littleflower: My sister just helped me with this and it turned out perfect! Thank you sooo much for this video!

Jinahn Safir: I just tried this (first time seriously cutting my own hair) and I took 10+ cm, and it looks very good! This tutorial is amazing and very efficient, so I really do recommend it!

Akira-Miyashi: Wow! It's been sooooo long since your last video! I'll definitely be trying this when my hair gets longer. :D Hope you and your family are doing well!

Adrienne Scopp: This is exactly what I'm looking for, thank you! This will be the first time I cut my hair and this video makes it seem not as scary

A\: Hello again, thank you for another tutorial. I’ve used your layered tutorial for years and it’s funny I came back to you after feeling like I wanted to try a one layered haircut. Your hair is still as beautiful as always~

Jen D: This is the best tutorial I’ve seen AND followed! I’m about to do this for the second time, because COVID, ya know. The first time I took about 2-3 inches off and it came out well - no funky different lengths, or angles, or weirdly chopped sections. I definitely used brand new hair cutting scissors.

GloryBlaze1: For the first time, I cut my hair using this video and even though I didn't get it perfectly straight, it's difficult to tell. My husband is going to help me fix it tomorrow. The important thing is that I was able to take about 3 inches of hair off, which will help my neck and shoulder pain! Thank you!

Sarah M: I did it and it went super well! Great instructions. Thanks!

Kay: my daughter has extremely thick, straight hair, and this technique worked so well!! Thank you

stuffedpixel: Thank you! It worked beautifully! I left the hair dry and was still surprised by how much shorter it bounced back :o Good thing you warned about cutting it too short so I cut it much less than I thought I want it and it has the perfect length now :D

Anna Defeo: Tried your technique tonight and it made it less stressful. Thank you. Never cut my own hair before. I only cut the dead ends off so no more than 3 or so inches.

Justine Wang: Signed in just to say THANK YOU for this insanely helpful video!

melonaep: I JUST CUTTED HALF OF MY HAIR OFF, I'M SO HAPPY FOR IT!! TYSM FOR THIS VIDEO!! <33

lenanana8: I've not cut my hair for 2 years now and thought to try this out during the pandemic to get rid of dry split ends. For my first time, it worked out nicely! It was challenging to get all the layers to the same length, and I probably cut off more hair than I wanted, but I'm quite satisfied. I actually cut off as much hair as you did. Thank-you for this tutorial. <3 Tips for girls with thicker hair: go REALLY SLOWLY in the first part when you're cutting off all your hair amount. It's very tough to get all the strands to the right length when your hair is much thicker, but go slowly and cut off very small sections at a time.

Breann Shatto: Thank God for you and this video. First one that I've seen that is easy to understand, helped me cut my hair the way I wanted, and fix my blunder after I tried following another video.

mary estrada: Omg girl welcome back...and omg what a surprise you cut your hair love it am going to cut mine soon to donate

Pitt Lord: Over 2 years without a cut, halfway down my back. Up until after shoulder length it was all good, healthy and well cared for. Now, despite changing nothing else it’s a perpetually knotted mess with tons of related breakage. I can only conclude that straight fine hair isn’t meant for this length ☹️
