Hey guys and welcome back to my channel today, I'm going to show you step-by-step how to do a Dutch braid, I'm not going to speed anything up in this video because I'm going to explain every step I take from the top to the bottom. So yeah it's going to be a belong, so if any of you guys have trouble doing in Dutch braid, you can follow along to this video step-by-step and I'm sure you guys are going to be massive writers in no time. So. The first thing you want to do is to brush all your hair to get rid of all the tangles when you're done brushing your hair you're, going to part your hair into two equal sections down the back of your head. Here we go now. We take a hair clip something like this or an elastic, and just clip this hair out of the way or tie it up depends on what you are using. The first thing you want to do is to take a little triangle section at the front. So, as you can see here, it's a little triangle: you have it there there and then cross over a little triangle. Then you're going to take this section and split it into three sections: I've seen a lot of people pull the hair down this way and then split it, but you have to pull it in the direction you want the braid to go. So in this case we want the braid to go to the back of our head, so you want to pull the hair in that direction and then split it like that. So this is the top section. This is the middle section, and this is the bottom section. So now we're going to start reading and I prefer to start with these tough strands, but you can definitely start with the bottom strand as well. You just have to remember to start with the same strand on the other side. So the first thing you have to do is take the top strand, bring it under and into the middle. So now this is the top strand. This is the middle strand, and that one is the bottom strand. Then you're going to do the same thing to the bottom strand, so bring it under and into the middle. So now this is the top strand. This is the middle strand, and this is the bottom strand. Now we started off the braid. So now you have to add in hair - and I know two ways to add in here, so I'm going to show you both ways. The first way is to take the top strand, grab some hair from from the same side and then take this section and bring it under and into the middle again. On the other side, you're going to take the bottom strand, grab some hair and add it to the bottom strand and bring that under and into the middle again. Take the top strand, grab some hair from the same side and then cross this under and into the middle again. Take the bottom strand, grab some hair and then bring this under and into the middle, then take the top strand, grab some hair and bring that under and into the middle again. Take the bottom strand, grab some hair from the same side and bring it under and into the middle again take the test. Ramp grab some hair from the same side and bring it under and into the middle again. Take the bottom strand, grab some hair from the side and then bring it under and down to the middle again take the top strand, grab some hair out and then bring that under and into the middle. So if you can to figure out how to add in here this way, I'm going to show you another technique so, instead of adding hair before wrapping it under and into the middle you're, going to have the hair afterwards, so take the bottom strand, wrap it under And into the middle then hold all the strands into one hand. Take some hair from the side and add that to the middle strand again take the top strand, bring it under into the middle and then grab some hair from the side and then bring that under. In in the middle again, safety bottom strands under and into the middle and then take a section from the same side and then bring that into the middle section. Take the top strand under and into the middle grab a new section of hair and add that to the middle section again taking the top strand under and into the middle and then add some hair from the same side again. Take the top strand under and in the middle and then ask him hair from the back then bring the bottom strand under into little and have some hair. So now I've reached the back of my head, so I have no more hair to add in so now. I'M just going to keep bringing the hair like a normal braid when you're done braiding then just take an elastic and secure the braid, and that is how you do a Dutch braid. So now we're going to do the other side, so just take the clip out and then just make sure that there are no tangles. Now we're going to show you the exact same thing I did on this side, but just on this side, so you have two breaks. So take a small triangle shape like that and then split it into three sections. So because I started with the top strain on the other side, I'm also going to start with the top strand on this side, so take the top strands under and into the middle and then take the bottom strands under and into the middle. So now you have to start adding in hair, so take the top strand, grab some hair and bring it under and into the middle. Then take the bottom strand: grab some hair from the same side and bring that under and into the middle again take the top strand, grab some hair from you seen side and then bring that under and into the middle again. Take the Bob straps grab some hair and then bring this under and into the middle again. Take the top strand, grab some hair and then bring this under and into the middle then take the bottom strand, grab some hair and then bring that under and into the middle again. Take video top strand, grab some hair and then bring this on your wrist and into the middle. It can take the bottom strand, grab some hair and then bring it under and into the middle again. Take the top strand grab some hair from the back and then bring that under and into the middle ow. So that was the first technique and I'm going to show you the other technique. So it takes the bottom strand. Bring it under and into the middle then bring all the strands into one hand, grab a new section of hair and then add that to the middle strand again, take the top strand under and into the middle, bring all strands into one hand and then add some Hair from the same side to the middle strand again take the bunch tramps crop it under and into the middle grab, some hair from the same side and then bring that under and into the middle, then take the top strand under and into the middle grab. Some hair and add it to the middle section then take the bottom strand under and into the middle and some hair to the middle strand and then take the top strand under it into the middle and then add some hair. Now, there's no more hair to add. In I'm just going to braid the hair like a normal braid, then take an elastic and secure deep rate. So now that you're done braiding, you can start to loosen up the braid by pulling on the sides of the braid to make it really big and really voluminous, but you can also just leave it like this. If this is a love you are going for. So this is how you just rate your hair, and I really hope I explained it well, because I really did try my best. But I hope you guys found this video helpful and if you did then please give the video a big thumbs up and remember to subscribe to my channel and follow me on my social media. They will all be linked down below and then I will see you guys in my next video bye

Okanie Davis: Is there anyone in their twenties like me who are just beginning to learning how to braid their hair ?

Michelle Ferra: Shout out to everyone learning to braid and crying in the process because no one taught us

littlemoorebass: I have watched dozens of 'how to braid your own hair' tutorials, and yours is the first and only one that I could manage to do even remotely! Thank you. Your technique was very helpful. I think the difficult thing for me was trying to get the braid higher towards the middle part, instead of just going lower on the hairline, so I was always fighting with trying to hold and manipulate crossing over 3 stands of hair outside of my eyeline, above my head... the arms get super tired, real quick!... whereas lower on the sides it's much more achievable. Whilst it didn't turn out particularly neat on my first try, I'm sure with practice I'll get there! Thanks!

Ruby W: Thank you so, so much for this tutorial!! I’m a hair rookie and this tutorial has helped so much!! I’ve always wanted to learn how to braid like this but I’ve never known how! I’ve nearly mastered it in an hour!

I Hate Honors English: Me: looks easy I’ll try it! *10 minutes later* Tears forming, scalp bleeding, fingers cramping, hair knotty.

Marta Oliveira: QUEEN! After multiple failed tries I finally managed to braid my hair like You teached here, of course its not perfect I still need to work on it but I finally did it! Thank You so much!

Izzie Stevenson: I know it's been 4 years since you posted but I learnt this from you as soon as you posted it when I was 16. I have three beautiful daughters two are twins and one is a year younger then the twins. I use this hair style every day on my children and they love it! Thank you!!!

croi: doing this with black hair is like writing with your eyes closed

ann purkis: This 34 year old has tried and failed for YEARS! I just followed along with this video and did them perfect first go! I can't thank you enough

Pamela: Once you get to your ear just keep going girl...it can smell fear! Keep going !! Lol I have never been able to do anything but a simple braid my entire life but here I am sitting here with two Dutch braids I did on myself by myself thank you!!!!

Masalova Samuel: Omg thank you so much. I went through all the braiding videos for years and this one actually makes sense. I learned so fast.
