Hey everyone welcome back to the channel. Thank you so much for being here. What we're going to do today is we're going to do a wolf cut the biggest and highly searched haircut on youtube right now, so the wolf cup is a mix between the shag and a mullet. So what that means is we're going to be looking at a lot of shortness around the face and around the neck and around the back. We want to maintain quite a bit the length, which is why we have extended and elevated this section through here, knowing that we're going to keep that length, but then, through the front, we've brought this ponytail right to the front through here. So we know we're going to get shortness around the face, so what i've used to secure my ponies is this pink tape - and this is pro hair tape, i'll put a link in the description down below, but this makes your life so much easier when it comes To securing hair without having to get bubbles in there and pins this just wraps around it doesn't stick to anything else, but itself, let's get on with the haircut, so really simple, we're just going to work this and we'll be taking off and cutting into it. Quite texturized - and this is basically what lee stafford did on this morning years ago in front of who was it, who was on there i'll put a clip in so you can see what happened. Two hours to go, kali and tamara still haven't produced a cut worthy of the stage show, with the pressure on to create a catwalk-worthy haircut lee's, showing carly a new technique for a quick restyle. It'S really important that you get this into as neat a ponytail, as you can see the more you comb this. The more time you spend on this. The actual cut will take five minutes yeah. I chop into this in the end as well. Don'T i to make it not blunt: you do this you're not taking anything off the lymph now, no you're just making you want to feel like you, ain't right! Look like your granddad's shaving back yeah. Don'T tell an actual like that! Really, okay, all right! I know it seems like a lot of hair. Doesn'T it does look right in? What do you think? Do you think there's still any lines in there really i mean there's slightly one there. It'S taken just six minutes of cutting dry hair and cali is already finishing off her latest restyle check it out. I'M in that field, you ready, i said a few days ago - i'm never having a fringe again. Well, it's a swoopy fringe. It'S not a black fringe! So yeah lee did that haircut on this morning all those years ago, and it's come right back around and a lot of people are doing it on tick tock right now that they're, basically just doing one ponytail like lee, did brought it all the way to the Front but i'm doing two because i want there to be a lot more texture through the back, which is why i've done two ponytails. So let's make a start with this haircut. What we want to do is basically over direct this forward. We basically want to take this off and we want this to be like a little sort of shaving brush. So i'm going to take off to the forehead is where i'm going to be working to, and basically all we're going to do is just chop into there. Taking all this hair off - and i'm just point cutting in just to take all this hair out still adding texture to the hair when we come over here and i'm just going to clean up anything, let's just brush it, i'm just going to hold it back from Here so we'll make sure we've got a nice straight line as well, so i'm just chipping in just cleaning up and what i mean by sort of like a makeup brush shaving brush like that and there we go. That is to the forehead. Now, what i'm going to do to soften off is i'm just going to hold my fingers about an inch away from the length and then just deep point cut into there still maintaining length, but taking away some of the weight there? We go. It'S just like a cool little fringe at the minute now with the ponytail we're going to bring it up, and we want this to be like a shaving brush as well. So we're going to bring this up to there and then we're just going to deep point. Cut all the way across there, so straight up to the ceiling is where i'm elevating to point cutting to create softness. I'M going to brush it up, fingers an inch away from where we've just cut, and i'm just going to deep point cut in there like that. You can see little a little shaving brush there, so so, let's take this tape out and it's super sticky to itself or it bonds to itself really well there. We go comes out like that. So there's the back. Look at that look at those layers and i'll just talk about my sectioning as well, so sectioning is from the top of the ear all the way over to the crown and then to the top of the ear again. So that's my section through there and that separates both sides, but look at that all that texture, so cool. Let'S take the front out. There'S the tape you ready. Let'S give her a shake now, if that's not cool, otherwise you

Paul Watts HAIR: HEY EVERYONE CHECK OUT MY LATEST VIDEO. I ANSWER ALL THE COMMENTS IN THIS VIDEO.

Karencut Sunbae: It's 3am and I didn't take my adhd pills perfect time for a new haircut tysm

Honeydew: you just made it dangerously easy to quite possibly ruin my life

Chris Bowman: If it's a shag-mullet mix, WHY don't they call it a shullet?!

Jeanne Garcia: Since my high school days I always cut my hair just like that and I didn’t even know the name of that hair cut hahaha I just did gosh I'm so proud haha

TheFemBIZ: I started cutting my hair like this when i was 15 and everyone thought i was nuts. 15 years later it becomes a trend. I don't even-

Emi Rahm: Can confirm: works for curly hair! I just cut WAY further away the head so the layers in the front didn’t scrunch up above my chin. I started with only cutting ~2inches to see what it would look like(my hair is past my shoulders while curly). It kept the length and refreshed my layers aka got rid of some of my terrible split ends!

Middle Rabbit / Doll Art Studio: I just finished following this tutorial, and I was full-on ready to have a panic attack after pulling out the hair elastics and realizing what I had done. Instead, I've just been whipping my hair around and shouting WOLF CUT in the mirror in pure joy!

Savannah R.R.: I tried your method and I LOVE IT! It was very easy to replicate and it turns out shag styles really flatter my hair texture/thickness (which is a great discovery). Thank you for the video!

đồ con mèo: omg thank you so much!!! this video has completely changed my life, i’ve finally achieved the kind of hair style that i want and it’s never been so easy before!!!

Judith Robinson: Thank God my hairdresser knew Wolf Cut when I said it LOL. He told me only seasoned hairdressers know what to do. I LOVE my cut and I kept length - down to middle of my back. Many compliments. This is a cool shag/mullet combo cut in my opinion.

A. KARIN: This was my hair all through middleschool and I remember I hated it because I could never style it right. So at 2 AM last night, slightly tipsy I watched a makeup tutorial that would go really well with this cut and said to myself f it, I'm 24 and I can handle it. I woke up this morning, I had forgotten that I did it and I LOVE IT. I found out that a lot of my confidence came from having long, shiny hair so I cried a little bit that it's shorter and layered now but I love the feeling, and I recommend you do it if you know that you tend to stick with your old ways and if you need a starting point for accepting change :)

Jaded Monk: Now THAT'S a wolf cut. Effen brilliant tutorial. Going to give this a try with a much longer length first. I've been rocking one anyway without knowing it for the last couple of years due to my self-administered pandemi-cuts At least this tutorial is coming from an expert so it has to look hella better. Thanks so much

lisaotearoa: I just gave myself the best haircut I’ve had in years. Followed this tutorial to the letter and it works. Thank you!

NatSoSassy: Thank you so much! I just followed your tutorial, but for a longer length, and it turned out really great! And it only took 10-15 mins :) Thanks again, very easy tutorial and a great result <3

Mandaloolu: I've been cutting my hair this way since my 20s using a ponytail and cutting upside down to get the layers. The addition of the second ponytail in the back gives me some new ideas! Thanks for the upload!

Justin Nelson: Yo Paul, Cool stuff man. Even if you don't actually do this it gives you alot of insight into how layering works and reference points to keep in mind for cutting. I think doing more of these "pony tail" cuts would be very useful. Cheers!

spO0ked: I just tried this haircut out! I only did it a little bit so it’s a bit more subtle (enough for my mum to not really notice) but I love it so much!! Great tutorial

Brianna Joyce: Wow! Great tutorial! I just used this video to cut my own hair (I have no formal training) and seriously in 5 minutes I now have a salon quality cut with some incredible layers! I liked that you went with two ponies instead of one like most of the other videos and the makeup/shaving brush reference and point cut tips were super helpful. Thanks for making this girl feel like a million bucks!

Hosana Lopes: Simples , Pratico , Direto ao Objetivo , e ficou LINDO, o que eu procurava , AMEI

Alexandria McCarthy: "I'm using a tape that sticks to itself to secure the hair"..... Sir, that's bondage tape....

A Manifestastic Life: Did my hair like this - I used my bangs as a guide (they're almost to my chin), I have curly hair and this cut brings my curls out better than my previous cut - happy with the results!

Jes Pearl: My hair turned out slightly differently since I changed some lengths and I LOVE IT. I had my hair cut this way years ago, and now I can do it too! Thank you!!

Alabama Jenny: I absolutely love this cut! Reminds me of Joan Jett Cut back in early 80’s.

Lee Lee: Your amazing!!! I have never been able to figure this cut out at home!!!! I only did the front and didn’t take as much off because growing but I can’t believe the change xxxx Thank you xxxx

Music Junkie: Amazing! You’re soooo good!!!!I’ve been trying to figure out what THIS hair cut was called forever! Yay! Such an effortless and cool, i don’t give a shit look! And, looks so satisfying to cut! ‍♀️ LOVE!

S Tuck: I have always had thin, fine hair. Just tried this cut and am pretty pleased. Gave me some volume and waves ❤️

Clark Santos: WOW! You just made it so easy to follow... Done and I love the outcome! Thanks!!

MikoSonya: Can't believe this kind of haircut becomes so popular these days. This is my kind of haircut when I was in high school.

Frecuencia Arcoiris: I just did this and omg I'm speechless. I love it!!!! Thank you so much for this

Lauri Beckham: Irvine Rusk taught this technique is the early 2000's. I added my own touch by using a razor instead of shears to cut and used a 5 tooth texturizing shear chopped into about 3 inches from ends to remove bulk. Great technique. Clients love it!

Marguerite Fabb: Oh wow! What a brilliant technique and so well instructed. I’ve been searching videos on how to remove the bulk from my long bob but now I’m going to have to try this. Thank you ☺️

the0: i absolutely love the result but would love it shorter! do i cut more of the ponytail or trim the hair after cutting?? edit: yall i cut it and it looks SO GOOD!! if you're hesitating DO IT cause i look so much better and im so much more confident rn!! thank youu ^^

Pamela Reeves: Thank you so much! I was looking so old and felt so bad about my appearance. I came across your video and did what you did step by step and I am smiling. <3

Adirondack Pixie: It's like hair stylists have been watching how to cut your hair, yourself, at home videos. I've been cutting my own hair, this method, since 1997. after my last bad cut, I figured, I couldn't do much worse and saved myself some $$$. I've gotten compliments from friends who are successful professionals, too.

alokasia: SOMEONE GIVE THIS MAN A PRIZE! Ok, so... By the power I give to myself, I Denise Magnani from Brazil (pray for us, by the way), conceed to you the prize of THE MOST USEFUL HAIRCUT TUTORIAL IN YT 2021. Congratulations! You made it!

Carensa Semmens: YESSSS! My 12yr old just came home from school and asked for a Wolf cut, so found this vid and did it on the spot!!! Shat myself even though I can cut hair .. but it LOOKS AWESOME and she loves it!! THANK YOU

Elizabeth Walker: Amazing tutorial! I just cut my hair and absolutely love It! Thank you!!!‍♀️

winst: great tutorial!! super easy to follow. just cut my hair like this and i love it!

Siarra Adams: My new favorite hair style! And so easy to do! Thank you!

Libby Reilly: "let's give her a shake" literally makes her fly

Joseline C: I can’t believe how good my hair came out!! I usually have very flat hair up top and heavy on the bottom this suits me so well!

Lisa Lee-Lee: Awesome! Thank you for this great, easy-peasy haircut tutorial!

Olivia Harston: it’s almost 5 am and the second i finished the video i did this to my hair thank you though <3

Megan Bellis: I’ve been obsessed with this style for ages but been way too scared to actually do it, this make me feel confident enough to do it and I’m so excited THANK YOU! (And pray for me..)

Sophie Vanderbilt: I did this exact haircut with one of those Crea clips instead of the tape and it turned out amazing. I think it's a cute haircut!

Nicole R.: Did this on my long hair and i maintained my length and gave myself some nice long layers. Love it thanks!

RisunaDarmowyBigos: I did it and I love it. Thank you so much! <3

Chiquita Banana: Tried it on my hair which is curly and it came out pretty nice. The shape is a lot nicer on my texture. I have really curly thin hair, but a lot of it, and this method worked pretty well on me.

RhileeWyldWooding1837: Wonderful video! Can’t wait to use this on my clients today!

alishba arooj: followed this tutorial after my barber messed up my haircut and it fixed it so well im in love. tysm! this works really well everyone <3

Mareile M.: I tried your method too. It works also with curly hair… :-) And it looks great. Thank you !

sidhedanu: What do you think is the best hair style for someone with a 4.5 inch circumference ponytail with a texture that's wavy when wet but straight when dry (even shoulder length - it's very heavy at any length). After 4 years of growing my hair from bra strap to classic to make hairstick buns easier (too thick to coil when not very long), I think I've finally gotten past my obsession with buns. I thought a fun milestone would be growing it long enough to wind pigtail braids around my head for a crown braid look, but it turns out super thick braids look kinda dumb on my round German face. My main issue with shorter lengths is that I could only do a ponytail or half-up. Curling irons & hairspray don't work - again, it's heavy. I mean, really, it's stubborn. What I like about buns is getting my hair off my neck. I finally figured buns out at age 38, but now I'm 42 & the novelty has worn off.

Ann Parsell: YOU ROCK SIR!!! Thank You So Much!!! I Just Did It!!! Seems Damn Near Miraculous! You've Just Inspired Me To Go Back To Cutting Hair!!! And My Daughter Loves It!!! Infinite Thanks!!! Please Keep Doing What You're Doing!!! Thank U! Thank U!

Mal Zcee: I cut my hair yesterday using this technique. Absolutely love my hairstyle now.. Thankyou soooo much!

st8ababetchh: Does this technique also work on really long hair? I wanna keep my as much of my length as possible so I’m very curious. You did a great job btw !

Stephanie Conner: I'm having 80's flashbacks, I'm totally doing this to my hair, thanks Paul!

chloe gallacher: Just did it at 5am, love it lol thanks for showing how to do it

Missy Be Kind: This is Awesome, & the cut ✂️ I've been wanting!! My hair is halfway down my back, I'm growing it for locks of love ❤ & now long enough for the cut, & mail in. (it's called my covid growth) now I'm ready for that style, YESSSSS, Thank you Soo much for showing me how to do it!!!✌❤

Kristin Jakobsson: This is so easy and it looks great! I might cut off a bit more tomorrow

Salsabilla Edlanda Putri: GOD, I TRIED IT AND IT TURNS OUT AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL, THANK YOUUUU FOR SHARING <3

Doreena Wilson: I am 53 years old and ever since my 8th grade I have cut my hair like that! We called it the gipsy cut! Love it!

nova galaxy: I love this:) i came upon this video by accident, lol. I just cut my hair by myself with long layers 2 weeks ago. I'm going to wait until my hair grows out and try this wolf cut, looks manageable and sexy:) I subscribed and saved this video to my favorite video:) Thank you Paul Watts for sharing:)

Jake&Cynthia Ray: I made a hair appointment and someone at work quit without notuce. I had to cancel my hair appointment. This is the type of haircut I have been wanting. Although I am not even a novice hair anything I was able to follow your visual directions and my hair came out great! My hair was already a longer bob, and this method took a few inches off, and gave it great texture, and the best thing is I get an updated look without compromising being able to work. Thank you so much for this video.

Zak: I just flipped all my hair to the front, put a band at the length I wanted and cut it in a straight line Turned out just how I wanted and I love it, finally found my forever haircut that suits me and is easy to do myself I wud only call it a wolf cut if u have very dramatic and short layers, my shortest layer is up to my chin and my hair length is in the middle of my shoulder and elbow but doesn't look like a true wolf cut unless I style it, if I had shorter layers and my hair was up to my shoulders it wud look more like a real wolf cut

Suz D: I've been doing this for years and now i actually feel fashionable!

Luz Rivera: I love it and it looks super easy to do!!!!

Eve Oakley: I always remember having a Wolf cut in 1980 and this is the first time I have heard it again since. The memory became so vague I thought I’d imagined it.

Dr. Prepper: I cut my Moms hair like that, it looked great! Thank you!

Fairy Frequency: Whoa! This tirned out awesome! Now we know how all of those great hair bands cut their hair ♡

Mz Jen: Wow! I'm really impressed with this cut!! Been looking for a new style and this just might be it!

Sharon Dadswell: I learned this cut years ago. It was called Savage( heavy on the French). Same premise, so it is not a new cut. What goes around comes around. Love it.

Fat Cat: Take note: it needs you to style it every morning if your hair is straight or thin, to create a shape or more volume (I don’t have a wolf cut but I have side swept bangs so no styling necessary)

Alyxa: I really really like your method! I'm going to try it, but first I'm wondering nd thought I'd ask- How do I know how short to cut the second ponytail, in relation to the first one? I just dont want to do this and end up with something ridiculously uneven lol

Cindy Leeger: Just cut my hair, looks amazing. Thank you. Love it. I went back to the salon 6 months ago and it’s looked like poop since!

Atika Mahira: i love itt! gonna try it soon, thank you for the nice tutoriaaal<3

Freya Wolfe: Thank you so much for this video - I am now rocking an AMAZING Wolf cut!

Annapurna Tendulkar: This is awesome, I tried on myself and really looking cool haircut. thank you so much.

Elif: I just did this in like five minutes and it turned out good! Because I was too scared and didn't cut much it doesn't look as "wolf - cutty" as here, but it still looks good (I am wondering why I didn't do this before, my hairdresser said that it wouldn't look really good on my curly hair but it turned out nice, I wasted much time ) : )

Tree McG: Do you feel it’s necessary to use tape ? Would a tight Scrunchie of some sort work has well ! Thanks for great video

Erin Richard: Can confirm, this is a great technique! If you are looking for a somewhat shag with less mullet-vibes, do one pony tail on top (similar to the unicorn cut, which is also popular for curly hair!)

drkmgic: I'm loving how all these old haircuts are coming back.

chompchip: I love this. Just a quick question, if you have a side part, should you cut it the same way or direct the front layers over to the split? Thanks!

Nía Aytin: I wore this between 2000 (shoulder length) and 2005 (midback), also using the ponytail method as seen in a magazine. Crazy to see it back!

Carla Heimerl: The best wolf cut I have seen so far! I am going to try this, because I love this look.

Kenna King: I was drunk and thinking about getting my nips pierced. Saw this and was like oh I can do this! (Hopefully) I am so happy with my drunken results! I'm drunk and it turned out amazing! Literally anyone can do this.

Rebecca Jaycox: Ooooo I love this. I’m more than half tempted to try it myself…. I have a hair appointment booked in the middle of August though. It’s a toss up of do it& know the “fix it” appointment is booked or just wait. decisions decisions

ً: I've been trying to get a PERFECT wolf cut for a few months but the back never had layers so... I just found this... time to get the scissors

Free Range: As someone who has thick, curly & frizzy hair (as seen in my pfp photo) I have to ask you, can this be done to my particular hair type, would it just look messy and make it more frizzier? I've wanted fringe for my big forehead for so long, but it seems like such a large commitment plus I love that the front bangs/fringe is longer and it isn't so blunt. This cut screams "I woke up late with a hangover, but I still look fabulous!" I'm literally mind blown at how easy and effortless this looks. I wish I had decent stylists in my area. Everyone I've went to from cheap to high end I always leave feeling upset & like I got robbed. **It anyone has any info for me regarding curly hair and this particular cut please let me know! ‍♀️ Thank you. ✨ New sub here btw! ✨

Julianna H: I cut my own hair in a unicorn pony all the time, but I never thought to use TWO ponies! Great idea.

Gale Christensen: Looks a lot like the style worn by thousands of people in the '80's. Still just as cool now as it was then.

Cee Geerod: Tried this on my own hair using muti purpose scotch brite scissors and my husband's nose hair trimmer. Wasn't aiming for perfecton or anything. Just wanted volume and a lighter head of hair. Wasn't really worried about ruining my life. It's hair. It will grow back. I just chopped it off without thinking much. And was really pleased with the results. Thank you Mr. Paul .

Ivy: Okay so I watched tons of tutorials & those tiktok one minute mullet trends. But I decided to root on this one. Now I am gonna try onto my hair. My hair length is middle of my back, it has a deep u cut with a bang in front and I have wavy, thick hair. Hopefully I will NOT ruin my hair. Lessgooo!!! UPDATE: I DID IT!!! I cut my hair exactly like this! But I kept the length. Didnt cut too short bcz I was scared af but it turned out really great!! Thank you so much!!

Jenny’s adventure: Awesome technique I can’t wait to try it out! Cool results

J W: That looks like the easiest haircut ever, and so cute!

Nina Twilight: I love it i just did it by your method and it looks great af

Zeynep Ertuğrul: i just cut my hair like this and IM IN LOVE WITH THE RESULT but it's a lot harder than one can imagine to do this on your own(especially if your hair is below chest length)

Candy T-T: OMG lo intente y me encantó gracias por este video!!

Sheila More: Thank you so much for sharing how to make it more simpler to cut myself because I can’t afford to go get my haircut and I have a hard time finding somebody cut the long shag but this is pretty simple I can do myself I did something similar to it but I do like to have my bangs a little bit shorter thanks a lot

AE46_TAMAYO, ISHA: thanks to this video! i cutted my hair using that ONE PONYTAIL method and me having thick hair i didn't really like the outcome of the haircut but i said 'nah its okay, its probably because of my hair type' but no,few weeks later this shows up in my reccomendations and i decided to try this out and OMG i really liked--no loved! the outcome, its very pretty which i liked and its exactly what style i want
