Academy Awards 2015: Hottest Oscar Hair Trends

Well, when it comes to beauty treatments, you will not catch the Stars. Skimping on primping and priming, leading up to the big night celebrities are willing to pay thousands of dollars for the right. Look and hair is one of the most important aspects of the night and celebrity stylist stand to cash in big jewel. Warren is founder of the warren tricomi salon and he's no stranger to servicing the Stars. His swanky salons can be found in some of the most star-studded hot spots in America, from the Hamptons to Los Angeles, to lavish treatments at New York's historic, Plaza, Hotel he's gotten stars like Scarlett Johansson and Tina Fey red carpet ready, and he joins us here in Studio to talk about the hottest hairstyles for the Oscars this year, it's so nice to have you with us to see you ain't seen you in a while. I know it's been a while it's great to have you back with us, especially an Oscar time. Thanks. I'M love being here and you, your business has just been expanding like gangbusters. I now see it at LaGuardia Airport, yep WT, go it's a great place to get your hair done if you're traveling, I always think people terrible when they're traveling. You know when you come and you're going. You felt awful. Why not look great? You should look great. So before you go, you want to get your hair done. You can get a conditioning treatment, a trim get on the plane wherever you land, you feel amazing or when you land and you got to go somewhere mm-hmm. Why not look great right, and especially these days, because as somebody who's a frequent traveler for business, I find myself always delayed. There'S always a snow delay, especially this time of year. So it's one more option for that person. If you're, you know, while you go around thinking about the candy that you're going to buy in the meal that you're gon na, have it absolutely well at one thing to do laguardia it's a lifestyle there yeah, you know the whole terminal has changed. You know this company OTG came in and they did these amazing restaurants. You can get pasta and pizza I mean the place is great, a beer garden. It really is amazing. That'S another business. I mean you're full of business stories and you are the ultimate entrepreneur. You'Ve built yourself up, you've expanded the business, and I want to talk specifically about the business of the Oscars sure, I'm very curious to know how much money a star in general is putting into their hair on Oscar night. That'S a good question. Everybody'S different, you know, depends on what you need. If you need your hair colored highlights could be anywhere from 500 to 1,500. You know, depending on what you have to be a multi-thousand dollar. Oh absolutely, and you know what you got to look like, that you got to look like a million dollars. They tell you this, I'm sure and they do and how much stress is there behind the scenes with that, like, for example, you may blow out someone's hair a million times before the night of the Oscars, and then it happens to be Oscars night, and it's not Blowing out yeah, exactly as you want to everybody's different, but when it comes down to it, they're all everybody's, a person, you know the real people you get to know them. You'Re, sitting down everybody's, usually extremely nice, everybody so excited to be out on Oscars. You know it's not that bad. You know it seems like it's be way worse, but everybody. You know you relate to the person and, if you're, a nice person they're nice to you, that's my philosophy, who are some of the top celebrities you've worked with. Well, I just did tina fey before the Golden Globes. I was really excited. Yes, she was amazing, simple, easy along with just just great person, Scarlett's great. I know personally she's amazing and look at scarlet every time you see her. It'S just short hair long hair ready a blonde. There love her she's great. What styles do you think this year's Oscars will will exhibit what kind of hairstyles you know? I really think people have realized that simple chic beautiful hair works. Okay, so you're gon na see this old Hollywood glamour just waves and simple, and i love it. You have beautiful waves in a beautiful lipstick, great jewelry, beautiful, dress, beautiful woman. I mean, I think, that's what you want to see. It'S interesting because Charlotte kind of described Charlotte Tilbury, just kind of described as a similar thing. It'S it's, this simple, elegance not overly worked, not overly manipulated. You know, I think, once you get to the point where you're getting an Oscar you're nominated you've made it. You know, and you really don't need to prove anything, so I think the best proof is that you have your stuff together and you look great now you put yourself together great, you know what looks good and by the time you get there, you should so to All the stylists out there who say I just want to be like you. What'S your number one tip work hard, you know and its really i'll tell you what it's really about three different things. One is it's about to work. It'S always about the hair. You have to be really trained that warren tricomi, the people are really trained. We have an amazing apprentice program. People were two to three years in apprentice program before they even touch somebody's hair. So when you come for a blow-dry at warren, tricomi you're gon na get a great blow dry. It'S not like you know some of these other places where people not interesting for long yeah. Secondly, we create an amazing environment. You'Ve been to the salon, it's being a beautiful, you know you come in, you feel like wow. This is a great place and the last - and I think the most important thing is. I only hire nice people, so you know you have to be nice, you know. So, if you're with a person, that's nice, that's talented, you're! In a great environment, I mean that's the key. That'S a secret! Don'T tell anybody out of all the Oscar nominees this year, who has your favorite look and how would other people out there achieve that? Look, okay? How did that is good um? You know as a couple i like, i always love Giuliana more. You know. I love her because she can go from a brown, crazy, stupid love. I don't know if you saw that movie loved it. She had like brown hair right once you have this amazing red, vibrant hair. That looks incredible so, and I think also she has amazing taste. You know her taste level is so well done that every time you see her she's well put together, she's, never overdone her hair is always perfect. Makeup clothes everything works together. I think she's she's incredible the other one. I'D love, rosamund pike, she's kind of new. You don't really know she loved her bob loved her bob. I love her blonde hair and I, what I would love to do is like give her like foil highlights. She got it all my mind and now what I do is I go back into the hair and I hit it with a balayage highlight so it's like dual highlighting its really accents and its unique and new. I think it's a little bit different. She would look amazing like that, all right, Joel Warren of the warren tricomi salon so nice to have you with us.
