Living 2Day: Cute styles. Over 40 years ago, my grandmother along with most of the other over 55 women sported pastel colored hair. It was a fad offered by local salons in our city. Shades of pink, violet, peach, blue, not so common green and yellow. Coloring their hair brought them and families so much joy and was fun to see them compliment one another saying, I am going to try that color next. Today, I am now part of the over 55 silver population. I was disappointed to see that the permanent hair colors that were used years ago are limited today. L'oreal offers a faint unnoticeable pink, 2B offers a magenta color called Sakera Pink that in certain lighting is more of a pink violet, and the other colors that are too bold. I prefer permanent dye as it doesn't come off on the clothing, pillow cases, or washes out every time shampooing. Can you do a video on permanent pastel colors that look good on older women? I would think in 40 years there would be more selections. For fun I did dye my hair Sakura pink. My face doesn't look so washed out now and is a lovely color. I would prefer more of a pink, not a hot pink.
