Do you prefer your real hair or not try hand? I have wigs, I don't have them often, but I do have wigs. I don't know, why do you? Why do you have them at all, because, there's days when I don't feel like doing my hair or I just want a different look and what I love is, I can just put it on and take it off when I ask so for me, it's about a Different look also, sometimes it's convenient. So for me for me. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to do the twisting they'll all care what you want, and I don't have the time to do it, because I've been quite busy or also because I do some work in TV productions. As I said on camera, okay with the natural hair, once a woman goes natural should realize. Is that the way the texture is depending on the climate, your hair changes throughout the day? So you start off the day and your hair is like out here and we because are sweating from them. Sorry come o. Come me, my shut up, everybody boy, mr. gun and baby once again and I'm back again with another indicated video. I don't know stuff you. I'Ve been boxing me: why do black man use fake head, I'm gon na so today I got beautiful amazing block beside this question. I'M gon na answer for you and I say to you and enjoy this amazing episode. My my name is one of Maya. What'S your name, and what do you do? Let me start from here: what's her name, or what do you do? My name is ivy prosper, I'm a media professional, so I produced which is TV new state right I'd be public speaking. I actually wrote a book that was recently published called your essential guide on moving to Ghana. You'Re gon na give us the link so that they can compile it. And what about you? So my name is Emma Borden. I am the founding curator of the Africa. We are trying to connect diaspora and Africans around the do good men. They make money, it's all about abundance Alabama. What about you? And lastly, my name is Bridget Farini. I am an associate producer with. I create them documentary. It looks actually. What am I so lucky today, I'm doing the guy sitting here with zero degrees, knowledge man, I don't have anything in my head man, but anyway the question is really simple: why do black women prefer? I mean most black women prefer using fake hair or weaves than they are natural hair. That'S what I wouldn't know. I think it's a long and complicated answer. It'S not one straight answer to that question. First of all, I have to say myself being natural. I do believe that women do have a choice that they want to choose to do leave and they want to choose to wear wigs if they want to choose to allow their to be natural. I think it's okay, as long as you have an understanding as to why you may be doing it. So what I am opposed to is when someone says they're getting a weave because they hate their natural hair, because I have a heard women say they don't like their own air. So that's why they get weeds or that's why they get ways. If you say I want to do it just because I want a different style or I want you know a different look. I don't have a problem with that, because it's just about it's like fashion, whereas if it's because you naturally hate what actually is growing out of your head and that's a problem of self-hatred, so I think that the most women when they choose to do it, though It has more to do with Society and wanting to fit in because Caucasian standards of beauty are what dictate almost all beauty in the world globally, not just in Africa or in America or wherever, it's global. So you see it in advertising. Magazines, newspapers, movies, music, videos everywhere, you see beauty standards tend to be more Euro cents, so a woman growing up wanting to fit in wanting to feel beautiful is going to naturally go towards what people think is more beautiful. Also, when you go to work, a lot of women feel that they won't be accepted in a perfect so-called professional environment if they don't wear their hair, straighteners chemically or wearing a weave or wearing a wig, rather than their natural hair. There'S a lot of places. It'S not accepted, so you tend to see more women who are in the creative fields being natural rather than in corporate environments. Like other Fang, you know you know financial trading floor or something you'll see more of the Eurocentric Beauty there versus in the creative industries. That'S what I something to say: it helped something so well I mean I do think it's interesting to think about. You know how the way we wear our hair can be a reflection of you know what we love or don't love about ourselves. It'S difficult though it's complicated, because on the one hand you know, for example, when you're leaving your house, I did. I know it - ain't gon na, for example, your mother would say: won't you comb your hair? Won'T you brush your hair, wash your hair just doing anything right and so there's an expectation that your hair should be laid. It should be tamed, it should be, you know, and it contained like when it's going this way going. That way, then there's something wrong, but if that's how your hair grows right, yeah, if that's how your hair grows then like, why should that be more like? Why should that be a problem? So I don't think that it's that you know black women, love wearing wheeze and they just kinda wearing weaves are tedious, yes, and a new lace, front and they'll now be putting foundation, and it's very so if, if women can be freed from that like, if there Was a social space where women could be, in fact self-perceived and socially perceived? That'S beautiful, I'm willing to bet they'd be willing to say five hundred dollars a week, yeah also sometimes not getting that encouragement. For example, I worked in a space where, for me growing up in the States I wore my natural hair, because I had we had great young. There are good products to to help me like also examine here, but the thing is you when, when you walk out of your house and you feel confident, you feel you look great with your hair and you walk into the walk. The workspace and someone is telling you oh what's wrong with your hair. Oh, why did you didn't comb your hair today? There are confidence that you had, even though it was like up here. It'S going to good at the bottom and then ask what I feel like is the problem with a lot of us in the society. You may want wave to have your natural hair, but the fact that somebody out of the five people died made for people might complement you, but I'm one person that says something negative about your hair. It cuts to the core like name so you decide. Okay. So let me just let me just make everybody happy and that's another like mistake: we make mole to make everybody happy and there's no such thing. You can you're not perfect you're, never going to be you're, never going to make everybody happy done your shots that you die. It will still not happen, you know, so we wear with different things and most of it has you like with right. You know we can all say: oh, I don't care about another day what somebody said about the way you even went when I was working in the hospital I had that thing. I know it's wise, you know if it wasn't twisted, so we could look like this watch your head like that. But how do people are they buttons help? Mine goes out of my hands like I didn't ask for it and, let's not make it look like you know, if we could ask for something else to answer something about slightly otherwise I look at it and I think is that done. We said everybody wants to have that who they belong to at the edge. So ok when we see magazine, if I look like this and I own a magazine - definitely I'll put people. I look like it. So when you look at me like yeah, that's what a cover girl should be dry, so I think that the other corner, I started the images they portray became. So if I look like me and I'm knowing that, there's something wrong with a lot disguised to look like area, I will say also that I don't mind what I will agree, that the ability to choose is the power of the black woman. I walk into my office one day. I have prayed one day, I'm wearing a wig like one day Dookudu. Everyone is a confusing name and did it last with you, you know, but that's the beauty of what I get to do. I get to choose right. We'Ve been demonized a little bit for that. You know people who say like. Oh that's so ghetto one day, you're doing this you're coloring your hair, you're doing this and it's like well. If we were again allowed to express our fullness, you know, and people were lifted, that it were like you know: it's okay, you know I value that you're expressing yourself and then what you're doing is not disrespectful. You know you're not making fun of anyone else's culture. You know you're, just trying to you know, share different styles, represent your spaces a little bit differently and that's okay. Then I think women will set themselves free, like they would be. Okay with it and also you men and how you it's true. It'S true seen as well, because I have heard a lot of men: yes, not like natural hair who say they don't like. Actually, I ran into an ex-boyfriend some years ago and the time cuz I used to chemically relaxed my hair and the time that he and I were dating. I that was the time when I used to chemically straight. My hair after we had broken up few years, had passed and I made the decision ran into him and he saw me he was like. Oh, why did you cut your hair? Your hair was so nice and long and cuz. My hair was long when I my I was lost and so he's like. I would never date you with your hair like that now and that's what he said to me and I was like that's fine, because you and I aren't together anymore. So it doesn't matter to me, but it showed me his character that he doesn't like the way that black person's hair actually grows out of the hair. I mean he kept his hair low himself, but for him a woman's hair should be long strange to lay down. If he doesn't wasn't a fan of the natural and then I I have a friend's husband told her, he would leave her if she went natural, so she continues to. Where are we, even though she wants to go national just because she wants to please or a husband who doesn't like fine, I'm fine, I'm really sure I'm not gon na lie to you. Let me tell you what eyes to things like white block the men put on which I throw like you guys want to change our body. Color, the Brazilian, the Chinese, hair and stuff like that Toby's just for like fashion or something and hear from you, ladies, are for like no, you know what do you prefer your real hair or not try hair or the weaves I have wigs. I don't have them. Often, but I do have wigs, I don't, why do you? Why do you have them go because, there's days when I don't feel like doing my hair or I just want a different look and what I love is, I can just put it on and take it off when I ask so for me, it's about a different Look but also sometimes it's convenient, so for me for me. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to do the twisting they'll all care the way you want - and I don't have the time to do it because I've been quite busy or also because I do some work in TV productions and I sit back on camera. Okay with the natural hair, once a woman goes naturally she realizes that the way the texture is depending on the climate, your hair changes rough day. So you start off the day and your hair's like out here and we because we're sweating from the humidity or the heat before starts to shrink. So one example for me I was working as a as a TV host on a program. We did some filming in the morning, then we had our lunch break and by 10:00 was afternoon and we were going to start. I'Ve been sweating cuz, we were filming in Tamil a in the northern region and it was very hard. The producer looked at me after lunch when we were about to start filming he's like ah hey what happened to your hair. You know, and it was like why sweated and now it's shrunk and it's not assemblies as it was in the morning. So in cases like that, sometimes I'll wear a wig so that the whole day my hair will be same right. So it depends on the reason I choose to wear it convenience time or just one, a different style, but most of the time my hair is out natural before I wear a head wrap so for me, and I people wear natural hair. We, like yes yeah, my wings are also natural like oily type of texture, most of them and no everyday Brazilian Malaya. The problem is not that I want to change my head like for me. I really pump up my head. Yes, I'm in a period where, like any time when I was have an exam, how a week that's because I can pull it out anyhow by my hair, I'm not about to do that - yeah yeah, because in school you're taking time to stay here, yes Teddy! So you want to maximize your time. Why should I go and stand in front of the mirror? And then you know straight there and twist, my hair for the next two hours draw again, that's my choice, but we should be giving that point and see when she's saying about the school. I know that girl's here in Ghana, when they get to school, they're, asked to cut their hair right and so - and I know that one of the reasons I've heard ghanians say that girls should have their hair short, like really really short is because it takes away From their studies, when their hair is out in law and they have to do their own hair and it takes time, but a lot of people - don't realize that there's deep roots in that in other countries - I don't know the history of Ghana, but I know in Places like Uganda, I've read that it had a lot to do with the missionaries when they came to Africa and started giving their message running schools and then saying that the black African hair wasn't neat, wasn't nice-looking and then made them cut their hair. And I know there's deep roots in that as well. So there's just so many reasons why, when girls grow up, they choose to wear the natural hair. It could be that now because their hair had been cut for so long. Their hair isn't as long as they would like it to be so now they decide. Let me wear a wig. Let me wear a weave because I don't want to wait for my hair to grow. I'Ve been cutting it my whole life because of school. I know now this is happening. I want a different style, then you know, I think Donna is having a very interesting moment when it comes to hair natural hair, because one of my friends is telling me that Donna has like the highest number of natural hair. We will see like many searched, for women are searching, and so it tells me that, like increasingly, people are interested like okay yeah. How do I do my hair? But what do I do with it? And for me, it's not surprising because on the continent, or at least in what's I look at people say you know, dine in women are the most like natural. Looking they don't wear a lot of makeup they're. Not they do we want, but it's not me xDrive again, you know type of thing and while that is also changing our you know saying that, because they're gone this woman's natural it like you look around, you see like you know, get in, they take it cool. You know they're not trying to do the most, which I think that that's good right like yeah and it's somewhere, we've basically come to meet the natural movement at the perfect time. So the natural hair conversation is ongoing. It'S not something that it has a beginning and an end. It'S just evolving yeah. As we see, women embraced natural hair, mostly women, make more choices of what they wanted to her style for fashion trends, it's an ever evolving conversation and it has so many different opinions based on where you're from based on where you're living based on different circumstances, all Plays into the choices of other things for natural, I think I've learned something new today and all I can say summarizing this. I think it appears on choices. I am Maya, I hope you guys enjoyed this amazing episode great for beautiful. I organized oh okay, so stay tuned, more episode coming from Ghana and don't forget to Like and subscribe. I have my pizza

Q H: Here in America wearing your natural hair means you are too woke or is rebellious. It is still seen as unprofessional in the workplace. There is also a bias in the natural hair community as well. Women with loosely curls are most likely to get natural hair endorsements and more views on youtube. Those with tight curls doesn't get seen that much. I do think Black women are still making excuses to why they don't want to wear their natural hair. Self identity issues is a major problem in Black America. Having long hair is "good hair" in our community. Anything nappy is not seen as pretty. Some of us are still white washed.

D lions zone: Black women should stop using fake hair they should be proud of their natural hair I think they look more pure and beautiful with their natural hair

KeepItMovin Praise: My son won’t date a girl unless she wears her natural hair..He likes the look and feel of it.

Jemimah Keb: Will never use fake hair on myself. I dont even bleach my skin. I dont even wear make up. Love me the way I am . Dont want to wake up and run to the mirror, period.Blessed enough our men hate make up or artificial beauty. So its a plus for me. But anyone who prefers the above, let them as long as their partner doesn't mind it.

Business model: You are always hitting the jackpot, with great content.. Tell our African women that we want them to be natural

Auntie S: Wode Maya, you have 'hit the jackpot' on this topic. Personally I go natural all the time. I think it's also low self esteem and lack of confidence in themselves. My African sisters are all beautiful with their natural hair.

Michael Legette: Natural please! These ladies are absolutely beautiful. What makes it even worse is when people wear the ridiculously long fake looking ones.

Sakky Sha: Another wonderful video Wode Maya. I now see many Black women in USA embracing their natural hair and I’m so pleased!! It’s beautiful and healthier than relaxer/chemical use. I’ve had natural hair for years even at a time when it wasn’t popular. What I’m hoping now is that natural hair is not just another trend in the USA but if it is - it will go just as fast as it came and Black women here will soon return to bone straight hair! Hope not!

leonard dean: WoW. I love the personality of these 4 women. I mentioned this before in a Wode Maya video. There are many races with black and brown skin, but only the African has this hair. It belong to us and only us. I like that.

Cami- Chinois: Look at how beautiful they are with their natural hair.

Somina: I'm a naturalista. I love my hair. Say no to weaves

Osei Tutu Tawiah: If the Caucasian style is the global standard, why then do we keep on helping them keep that notion? It's time to change that notion.

Vagabond: I hate weaves and wigs because it kills your real hair.

Terrye Moorer: Love this talk about our natural hair.I used to frown on wigs/ weaves until I visited another country where there were more natural styles and they were absolutely beautiful.I prefer natural hair because "one woman's opinion" there will be no weaves / wigs in Heaven .and my spirit tells me come back to my natural state.so that I can be ready for Heaven.

Stephen Mbaho: I heard one lady giving a reason that because she has no time to make her hair up, she compromises by wearing wig. Hmmmm...if u don't have time for something u love, u soon lose it. Ok, what reason do u give for wearing plastic nails, doing make up that makes u look almost orange. Let's be realistic that it's the colonial factor.

Kathy MahoneStreet: Thank you for this great insight! Every thing you said is true, even to this day in the United States! I have been natural for 5 years, best decision I ever made!

Jesus's son: team natural all the way......weave is all about trend following and insecurity.....stop with the BS

Gee Mack: How could you be a black queen when you're wearing someone else crown....

Rosa Bivins: The first interview she was speaking exactly how we black women look at when we wear fake hair..I myself have never worn a wig or sew ins but my family member has and at this point I can honestly say that you know that's what black women do and at the same time I wear natural and I love my natural hair but there are some family members that refuse to wear their natural hair.. thanks for sharing

perfectbeat: It is amazing how political and influential Black women's hair is.

Paige Williams: Love from the states here!! As always love what you do! This topic is tough! Literally last year was the first year I wore my natural hair. I loved it, but society definitely treated me differently. Since then I've chemically treated/wear wigs. Reality still exists that men, ALL men prefer straight hair. Or losely patterned curls. It's a fact! Most men will NEVER genuinely from the heart love black women natural hair state. Sad but I strongly believe this to be true. Because I'm a beautiful black woman, but was definitely treated differently after going natural for just one year. All across the board from men and woman. Sad but true! Many blessings to these beautiful black woman discussing this topicand of course love to you & blessings wode maya

Sinfuldavy: As a race we are so messed by the influence of others

AKOSUA AGYEMAN: staying true to your self will always bring the confidence in you. Black is platinum

The BRIDGE 54: it seems to me black people need to invest in research for black hair done by them on how to better manage their natural hair and make the process easier so they dont have to wear fur

Ms. Tiffany: Sure everyone has the choice to do what they want but trust me there’s ways to manage natural hair in various climates... I think some of us are reaching for excuses for not wanting, having the will or desire to care for our natural hair ...also yes there are universal beauty standards that seem to permeate within the physic of African / Black Women that has too many of us believing our natural hair isn’t as beautiful and is an inconvenience... it’s not necessarily self hate that would cause our women to prefer wigs and weaves over natural hair but a ‘lack of self love’ is present in many (not all) instances...

Jeswaz Wadi: African women will always be judged according to the European standards of beauty but always remember this if the world was judged according to authentic African standards of beauty every other race would be wearing locks, afro, braids ,corn rows, bantu locks e.t.c ,despise all these people from other races wear locks,Bantu knots, braids except they rename our styles and give them "fancier" names .African women are naturally beautiful mwaaaaah

Adrian Johnson: The nickname for Ghana is the gateway to Africa. They were the first to achieve independence, so it doesn't surprise me one bit that they are leading the way towards embracing their natural, beautiful, African hair.

Cami- Chinois: Don’t care about others but yourself and your personality cause if you don’t , you’ll end up living according to other people’s minds.

Isaac Abakah: Bro being with the natural hair is the best way for every woman on this planet(earth)

ki mono: Beautiful women discussing an important topic. There's alot of tip toeing around the subject. It all comes down to self acceptance and social acceptance. What I'm hearing them say is If society's beauty standards were opposite to the current eurocentric standards then we'd see black women rocking their natural look everyday. Ladies why wait for society to accept you? Your hair is unique. It's beautiful and there's only one you. Original. Say no to weaves and wigs. Black men show love to your women and girls. Tell them you love their natural beauty. P.s @8.40 that's the real issue right there. You all thought it was funny too. Sad.

Asonaba Kwabrafoso Obuasi: I prefer black girls with their natural hair. Asonaba Kwabrafoso Obuasi

Josephine Anyan: I decided to cut me permed, hurt hair and go natural and I have never regretted doing it. Sometimes it's tiring but that's how it works. It's not easy to sit underage heat all the time

Jade Cummings: The ladies' hair looks amazing!

Gamal Sankara: Big shoutout to those 4 beautiful queens. Mombasa, Kenya

fjellyo32: Let the Afro grow!

Sush: hey Bro.....I am Indian Sikh from Punjab..... i watch your many videos.....and i want to tell you 1 thing.....that Africans are straightforward , intellignt and beautiful peoples....i really you guys....Racism is not limited to some nationalities.....i stayed some months in south Africa and i am victim of racial abuse from some africans....but on the other hand most of the Africans 90% are not racis but nice peoples......so we as a human should come forward to diminish this races , religions and continent diferences

cookie22100: As long as you wear your natural hair, and don't just forever live under wigs, you're fine. All of their hair styles are popping too.

Oppong Kwasi: Be whom you are Appreciate what you have They're beautiful Well done wode Maya.

Dee: Everything these Lady say we already know. Time to change this colonial mindset. No more excuses

laanaa: Afro hair is so BEAUTIFUL, if my hair was like IvyProser's hair I would keep them like that forever, how can I get my hair afro style like her or like Amara La Negra's afro style ?!!

wilson gab: Artificial Hear Negative spirit But Natural Hear Positive spirit, So Don't hate yourselves be always positive because you' were made by positive spirit , Remain positive bless you all

Dwayne Jones: Colonization has been so extreme, even our beautiful Queens feel there beauty has to reflect a European since of what "is" beautiful.

michael barber: I'm happy to see that an intelligent conversation is happening on this topic. When I've brought the topic up it tends to become heated. Ill say this our hair and what is deemed appropriate has been influenced by European culture since the beginning . That's both male and female. Think about it and it's happening in present day.

Mr Raffle: All 4 ladies hair there are nice styles ,big up Africa ‍♀️

A Butterfly in Christ: Please ladies wear your hair! It is the most beautiful and unique creation on the human being. Black people are the only people on the earth with the Afro textured course hair. No other race of women or men on this earth have the texture of our hair. CELEBRATE IT FOR IT WAS GIVEN TO US! In Jesus Name, Amen✊✊

Nikkin N: Covering your natural hair with weaves and wigs is not protected styling, it’s called self-hate.

J.K. Anu: The right black men always prefer and respect black women that wear their natural hair.

samuel kamara: I don't think society have to depict how an individual should looks like, just be yourself as a person. I like women that are natural, be proud of yourself.

guenso: It's time you set your own standards women. I love natural hair.

Emmanuel Sino: I'm proud of our women.. They r looking gorgeous

Awuni Bernice: I stopped wearing weaves for some years now and wanted to go back in to it but after I watched this video my mind has changed

lizajean williams: beautiful women! but sad that others have the nerve to pass judgement on god given hair!

seeyouagain911: I've had a racist white woman and a racist Sri Lankan woman call my hair 'wet and wild' and then laugh at me. It still didn't stop me from wearing my hair natural. I think it's time to not take non-black men's and women's opinion seriously. Their racism is not our problem.

nappie briggs: #NaturalHair over Weaves

Varaidzo Madziwa: Great content, loved it

alona love: As a Ghanaian woman its my right to do whatever i want with my hair its a choice wheter to weave it because i want a different look or perm my hair because the texture is unmanageable or put a wig on because i dont like my extremely thin hair texture its my damn right. I am so sick n tired of such psychological conversation that everyone is therapist attempting to psychoanalyze the reason why black woman wearmakeup, weave, perm their hair,etc...... I WILL.NOT B PUT IN A BOX I DO AS I WANT AND WHOMEVER DOESNT CAN KISS MY BEAUTIFUL ...

Cook Something Very Special: Our little girls also love pretty long hair and I dislike that some Ghanaian schools discourage hair growth. I find it very disrespectful to the children to have their hair short at school, even if it’s their God given natural hair. It’s not bad to be hairy after all ‍♀️

madjoabutterfly: Great topic and love these ladies and their natural hair! And true some black men adopt the white Euro standard and view of hair preferring long and straight, shame. I am natural and do braids my Ghanaian mom didn't care for twists but likes short crop afro like school girls. I had perms years but never liked wigs or weaves cause looks too fake but some black women enjoy it. So many layers, related to history of colonialism, slavery and warped European hair and beauty standards in but it is nice to have options as hair is an accessory. So I get it, nice to have easy wig. But then internalized conditioning of what type of black hair perceived as beautiful sad often 'soft curly' or straight types. Then yup Asians profiting off of this! I also do have issues when naturalistas hide hair under wigs & weave all the time so is it shame, or what's the point! Glad more Ghanaian women embracing natural hair and more salons doing it.

Okebadan Dahunsi TV: Aiya Maya, You seem mesmerised by the Ladies . Weaves & wigs is all about the trend and convenience for the Ladies in Europe & America especially in the Winter.

FAFALI GROUP: I love my natural rasta

Ash _: I prefer natural hair but as a white guy with very thin, straight hair I totally get the weave thing. I think calling it self hatred is really pushing a narrative rather than accepting that nature doesn't deal us all an even hand and people are allowed, entitled even, to chose how they present themselves. I don't think I should be proud to be balding from birth, I think that's just delusional. Same goes for anyone else.

OLDPAPA YOUNGEBOY: About 99.9 % of African women do not wear wigs. Market traders, Villages folks, and poor street traders who constitute the majority do not wear wigs. Only the the city women do, and even among this group many do not.

CoCoJin: I am not attracted to women with weaves to be honest. Natural hair is way better

whats good: No disrespect to black women but we love your natural hair that’s one thing that’s different from any other race of women . Wearing hair that’s not yours doesn’t make me attractive to you I love natural

CONNECT U 2 AFRICA: They don’t prefer I am a man but I can give you some major reasons why some women wear weaves from different perspectives. 1. Most women who are addicted to weaves grew up within that same environment especially learning that from her peers or parents. Children learn from what they see around them and become programmed to that . So if you asked the few who embraces natural hair you will realize they either had their mum accepting natural hair more or the environment they grew up accepted natural hair. 2. Natural hair is really difficult taking care of on a daily basis because our hair as black people is different so just some men just put on a cap sometimes because they are in a hurry and can’t comb or dress up their hair some women prefer to just put on the wig to get things done. This applies to all other races not just black women . 3. The third one is self awareness and most of those who are soo addicted to weaves just don’t know who they as a black woman and therefore goes with what’s highly accepted in the society . Lower self confidence..

Rudy Grissom: Before I watch the video...I give applause and big ups to Wode Maya....for approaching this hot button topic.....we bruthas really want to know....especially us who grew up before the 1980s which is before weaves.....when the majority of sistas wore, their own hair, styled in many different ways, be it permed pressed or worn natural.......wigs. we're not the rule but the exception

Tray: I could careless if its a wig or weave my issue is the fact that black people particularly women are the only race out of any on this planet who spend and go out of their way to wear or mimic a texture that's not even close to their natural hair texture more often its straight and you cannot compare it to white people wearing wigs and weaves because they atleast choose textures that mimic their natural hair textures so dont even bother ...unlike many black women who typically like to get far away as they can from their natural textures. Even wigs and weaves that mimic our natural textures look good but that becky bone straight hair is not natural to us no matter which way you look at it.. Imagine if the majority of white people around the world were walking around with kinky afro textured weaves and wigs it would look a hot dam mess and I think it looks a hot dam mess when a majority of us world wide even in africa are walking around mimicking eurocentric beauty standards. But to eaches own I'm just glad more beautiful black women are embracing their natural hair textures and they're atleast wearing wigs and weaves that represent their actual afro texture. But that straight silky blonde weave be looking a hott dam mess it doesn't flow with their beautiful bone structure sorry.. We come up with excuses saying its easier to wear wigs and weaves and call it a protective style but you can atleast get some hair that looks natural to your race of people instead of adding to the eurocentric beauty standards.. In the end anyone can wear their hair how ever they want its their choice but we can't deny that a majority of blacks around the world dislike their natural hair hence is why they straighten it to feel comfortable around the dominate society Europeans there's nothing you can say that can dance around that fact. Nothing is wrong with switching your look up at all that's the fun of being human but when your afraid to embrace your self and features fully that's where the problem lies. We are world wide a whitewashed race of people and the first sign of that is our hair just look around especially in the media yeah you'll see a black women in a show or commercial but the majority of the time her hair is straightened we are a brainwashed group of people not only is it embarrassing to watch but its sad it really is..

Shi Tindy: Rocking natural hair is amazing❤❤

an intruder: Thumb up for this episode bro

Susan Adike: *Wearing wigs truly depends on the Mood* some days i just wanna show off my short curly hair and some days (recently) the hair is just tripping and I've been wearing wigs,, Both ways you're beautiful especially with a smile on lol

Francis Arhinful: I love ladies with natural hair

Dana Fujii: I wore a weave once. It’s hot, expensive, and I hated worrying about hiding the part; worst two months of my life. When I was a little girl, I wanted straight hair like my mother, but realized and accepted that I just don’t have it. I do straighten it once every six months or so, to the dismay of my Japanese husband, but usually I just do wash and gos every three days. Natural is best.

Zekey Media : I'm 100% on natural as far as I can remember. i don't own a wig, I've once used a borrowed wig before. But people choose what they want.

1Titans: One of the ladies said something that women always get confused. One of them did the big chop. It wasnt the natural hair he didnt like, it was the shortness.

Sweetie Success: I luv the natural movement in the USA

ebrima kamara: Thanks brother keep educating people

carsty: hmm ive been natural most of my life and recently thought about trying a weave to see what it would look like...since I entered the busy working and studying world I barely have time to care for my hair...my hair is thin and fragile and I need to protect it so id wear braids to protect my hair and save time. I grew up in the Caribbean and never really associated much negativity towards natural hair heck my mom taught me to love my hair and I do, but now I struggle to look after it to keep it healthy especially in Europe with change of seasons...sometimes I think to go bald but it would not suit me and I love being able to change my look

habadabadabba: Nothing wrong with black ladies wearing weaves, it's not like they "hate" their natural hair, it is a choice, like a woman can decide to wear eye contacts, to put on makeup or blusher, if she wants to and it makes her feel good then what exactly is the problem?

proph9999: I used to have beautiful and full afro hair. I was going to a hairdresser here in Europe who has destroyed my hair. Thats why I wear wigs, but they are always afro wigs.

iam_marwa: Amazing Episode.

Sike: Natural hair is better

A P: There should be a ban on weaves period

Audrey Martin: I never heard any black women say they hate there hair ..”I heard them say I don’t like to deal with my hair sometimes..because it can be difficult...the one in the multi color blouse was correct...I would have like you to ask them individually how they feel about there own hair only . I never ware my hair to please anyone but me.

KWESI BENBI: Natural beauty ✌✌

The OG of Logic: Great video by that I mean in the terms of graphic and location and to some extent the topic. It's all about self hate they can sugar coated all they want but it all come down to self hate. One of the female in the panel say it's about personal choice but soon as a white women change to an African hair style all the sudden, it is not about personal choice it's culture appropriation so black women are the only female that have personal choice. Why appropriate the European hair and look because they supposed to be the devil. I see them in blond hair or red hair but white female sporting an afro is appropriating. I think biggest reason it's culture appropriation black men drooling when white women wear African hairstyle.

Samantha Brutus: Great video keep it up

dxelson: I guess it's just like when people wear caps when their hair is messy

Ib Sidibe: The women with Afro, explened it well depend in the environment, place, family or opinion."great video, good work and god bless all the women."

Precious K: Loved it...they spoke truth...

1diin 1 umad 1 luqad 1 Amiir midnimo Walaal: JUST BE PROUD WAT GOD GIVE U, Never CHANGE UR SKIN COLOR AND NEVER PUT CHEMICAL ON UR HAIR

Rose Shiweva: The struggle of natural hair . I am thinking of puting in dreads .. Maybe that will save me big time .. Anyone .. ?

fjellyo32: Every human has curly hair, at least at one spot on your body ;).

Terrye Moorer: When I visited Ghana ,a town called Upper West Wa I asked a guy why the young girls so many of them cut their hair and he said its more out of necessity because their parents don't have time to focus on doing their hair.that thier were more important things to do with their time.but the bible speaks about ladies that look like men and your hair is your Glory

Righteous Sun: Beautiful women. In the west black hair is always under attack. Even by other black people

Mbuso Nkosi: Black Women wear weaves or wigs because they hate their own hair, selfhate. My sisters

So D'Vine: That's why young Africans cut their hair. Wow, I had no idea. Cornrows for school all week long, I would never cut my hair.

Nikkin N: Throw away the wigs. It makes you look artificial. Wear your natural hair.

Tim O'donnell: Very interesting topic shared with 4 very articulate, intelligent and very beautiful women

Yankee Roo: would be really interesting to ask some black ladies of they would date a man who bleaches his skin? Their opinion of black women and black men bleaching,do they think people who bleach hate their skin/blackness? then after listening to their answers, then you ask them about do they think weaves, perming suggests self hate etc.that is where you would see the double standards ,you would realise most of them would say " bleaching is not classy, people who hate their skin bleach, are brainwashed, bleachers want to look like white, damages the skin etc" but would find it difficult to agree with similar negative effect, comments or perception of wigs/weaves.it seems our women do not realise black hair and skin colour are one the most unique identifiers of the black race so doesn't projecting Caucasian looks clearly show ones dislike for their own looks? When our ladies are told that their hair is not professional because to they don't have weaves or wigs they should stand up against it cuz it's abuse .
