#pixiehaircut #pixiestyle #dallashairstylist #BlackWomenHair #PixieStyleForBlackWomen #BlackWomenCuts #hairStylesforBlackWomen

Let'S get into this before and after how to do a pixie haircut by the way, if you're new to this channel, my name is bridget harrison, hairstylist, makeup artist and blogger. Welcome to my channel beauty for the everyday woman on here, i will be giving the best tips, tricks and reviews an occasional trial, haul and a vlog video here and there. The question of the day is: what issues do you have when trying to cut a pixie hairstyle make sure to drop them below in the comments now? What you've already seen me do is cut her hair. Yes, i cut her braids. Then i took her hair down. I did base her now what i usually do when someone has a handful of hair and they come in to get a shortcut. I cut their hair before even shampooing them or doing anything, especially when they get a relaxer, and the reason for me doing that is to make sure that the hair is short and i can ensure that most the hair is relaxed properly. Now, let's get into this cut so we're doing a 90 degree, a 90 degree cut all over you guys. I have invisalign now i can't take my invisalign out to film, so just bear with me. So we're doing a 90 degree cut, and i have already set my guideline my part and i'm cutting the hair to set my guideline now. She wants a short pixie hairstyle now before i mold her, i'm going through again to cut excess hair off now. You know the mold is really important, but we're not talking about that, but i really like to take my time and go in and cut the hair while it's wet and take off as much hair as possible. Do i do my entire cut? No, i really like to cut dry, but i will go in and take off as much hair as possible, so we can ensure that this hair lays flat with the mold now i'm doing a 90 degree cut all over. Yes, i keep my water bottle on me. Just in case the hair starts to dry or anything of that nature, because i do want to keep the hair wet while i'm cutting the hair with. I want the hair to stay overly saturated with water, and only thing i'm doing is pretty much my guideline and said. I'M following my guideline throughout the entire head, i'm going through i'm looking for my shape, i'm checking i'm seeing what's going on with the hair. As far like that, i leave pieces and one thing i also like to do even when the hair is wet, i want to see the hairstyle. I will comb the hair out and be like okay. What am i seeing what's going on with this hair, and i just really take my time and just go from the left from the middle to the left and then from the middle to the right, and then i will go to the top. Once i establish my guideline and then i will mold her hair once i mold her hair, i take her from up under the dryer and again i will start the same cut and do the same thing again now. The tools i'm using is my my shears um. I don't know who those shears are from. I think those are herkari or hatari i'll link it below, because i just bought some and then also i'm using my david scott razor and also i'm using my wise part combs. Now some of this video y'all, i just started recording this area so bear with me. You can see it, but you might not be able to see it completely, but you see i'm still following the same guideline, i'm following the same guideline, i'm establishing a new guideline. I'M setting the new guideline, but i'm going to follow that guideline throughout the hair, the haircut now. The reason why i was saying earlier, i like to cut the hair dry. I like to see my style when the hair is dry, because when it's wet, it's really fine and it's just a different texture depending on the texture of your hair. But when that hair is dry, you get to really see the hair move. You get to see how thick the hair is. You get to see like okay, maybe i need to scissor overcome or whatever is needed. I might need to take that razor and take some bulkiness out or i might even need to point cut now right here. I'M going into a horizontal parting and just taking the bulk out her hair. This baby here was so thick now. Let me tell you, when you have clients that come in and want these type of haircuts make sure you put aside extra time in your books. So you can take your time and cut the hair. I have cut her hair three times. This is my third time cutting her hair and i'm taking my time going through her hair, making sure that i is giving me what i want and also to ensure that the client is getting the hairstyle that she wants and the comb i'm using is my ys Ys, pork, comb, ester um, all purpose comb, and i love that it's a short, all-purpose comb. I really love it like it's my favorite comb. I have a couple of them. I need to order some more. They need to send me some, but that's neither here than that, neither here nor there. Now you see me just going around her hairline like you, could see the cut. Even with this little piece of hair flipped up, you could see the cut now. What i'm doing now is going through again it's taking excess weight out the haircut checking the haircut and taking excess weight out the hair. The reason for me doing it is because you know i, when you comb the hair down, you can see weight in the lines you can see the weight where it is and that's another reason again why i like to cut the hair dry. So i can see what's going on, i will put most of the cut into the hair while it's wet depending on the length, but for the most part, when i finish my cut, i want to cut the hair completely dry, not some dry, but all the way Dry and you know we're covering them, you know clients, you know you got to hold the mask on your face, so i'll be like come on. Sis hold your head up under the dryer, know your hand tight, but we need this hair to dry, because if the mold, especially around the ears in the nape area, if that hair is like wet, it can be puffy, and it can just really. You know not be cute, i don't care if you do have a fresh relaxer. You just never know who what the hair is gon na do now. What you see me doing here again is just i'm going through cutting the texture, the texture, cutting the thickness out of her hair and just checking my cut and i'm going from one side to the other side from the top to the back. You know it's just all about like. I know how the hair should be looking and i'm like. Okay, this hair is still really thick well, i can't cut the front of the hair until i get the rest of the hair, where i like it or where i my desired effect or my desired look, because it doesn't make sense to go rush and cut the Front if the rest of it is still not the length i wanted as for the bag in the nape area, because if the front is shorter than the back didn't use, you know so i'm setting the tone with her hair and you can see i'm just steady. Taking my time going from one side to the other, i always start in the middle and just work my way around, and i follow my guideline and i'm not really doing, though over directing for this haircut. If she wanted like a fuller, bang or a heavy bang, i definitely would over direct the hair, but since that's not what she's going for and that's what she was going for. So i didn't do that and you see i'm just taking my time, cutting her hair following the guideline and going through with the bulkness now once i finish, this you'll see me uh stand in front of her send someone in front of her. If i wasn't filming like wherever you're cutting when you're cutting the hair you're supposed to be where the shears are, and if i wasn't filming my body posture, my body would be different. But since i am filming you know, it is like this and we just got to make it work now. What you're about to see me do is is go to the front of her hair once i finish the rest of her hair and i'm going to still pull the hair down at a 90 degree and cut some of the weight off in the front and the Reason why i'm doing it again her hair is really full, but i want her hair to fall a certain way and the way i want her hair to fall. I need to cut this this weight out. You know i could have left it, but she didn't want that. I didn't want it, so you know it was ingredients like girl. Let'S just cut this and you see i'm not cutting a lot now when you go do this here, you got to take be careful because you're going to pluck ka, pluck, pluck look and if you want to pluck you'll, be like oh, my god and then you're Going to stir and follow that guideline, and we don't want you plugging so when you go in and do this just take your time and what i like to do when i'm cutting the hair is, if you notice i'm combing the hair, i'm playing with the hair. I'M trying to see like okay where's the way do i am i done do i need to cut some more and do i like how it's falling, because you know what i like i like when my clients go home and they can shampoo their hair and they Can mold their hair and they can go, but it's not being heavy, and now you see i'm still taking weight off here. So now, i'm point cutting i'm point. Cutting the baby hair was spit thick. She fit. You know thick. What'S that oh geez i'll teach you this, is this something okay, i missed that up, but now you see what i'm doing now don't forget.
