Hey YouTube: I'm Ashanti and today I'm going to be teaching you, ladies, how to properly shampoo that so and we've we shampoo in your so improperly it's going to do three basic things: it's going to eliminate some of that dandruff, that's hiding between the braids. It'S going to make for an easier comb out when you're ready to take it sewing out, and, lastly, this is a protective style. Ladies, so we need to ensure that we are maintaining and protecting our hair underneath that sewing that's just on it, you're going to need a few simple items to get started. Of course, you'll need your shampoo and conditioner, but you're also going to need an applicator bottle. This is our secret to getting inside that hair and underneath those sewing and to make sure those rays are clean and iron tooth Wyatt comb iron, because it's thin is gliding between the braids very easily, but make sure it's round tip like this on the end. So it doesn't scratch that client head, you don't want to pointing and scratching up the scope. You can use a comb like this or you can use a pick comb long as it has the iron teeth you find now. What I do is I take an applicator bottle like this open it up. I put shampoo some type of single and tea tree. Shampoo um put it here and I fill the rest up with water. We'Re doing this at the salon. So we have a salon, but if you were going to be doing this at home run, then the shower is always done. Get you a removable showerhead. So that way you can have a same table. Pressure like you ever saw one, but once the hair is saturated testing you got ta, take your applicator bottle and just the key points all around the edges squeezing them, and then you just rewrite the hair and aunt shampoo like you would normally do it's going to. Let up faster, every rinse and we're going to repeat it we're going to shampoo again, but this time, instead of a t-shirt, shampoo, we're going to go ahead without moisturizing shampoo. Now we have a braid pattern is under there kind of go, try to go with that! Braid pattern to get in-between those for you, so you're shampooing. What we do is the same place that you apply, the shampoo, take it and use it as fingers. Basically to scratch. You can bend these int fit your clients head shape, make sure that's important! You go around these areas just for this point, just kind of fine them wiggling in I'm going to apply my conditioner, but the same thing we did with the applicator bottle and putting the chef's win we're going to have some conditioner in there already we're going. To add the water shake apply the condition in between those braids a regular conditioner and apply to now why the conditioner is in your hair. Best thing you do. The comb out. Conditioner just makes the easy slippage and makes the tangles very easy to comb out and then we're going to do our final rinse. Now, my final rinse, I try to get the water a little cooler to seal the cuticles of the hair, you're shampooing, your hair at home. You want to do the same thing: make the water a little bit cooler, so we can close those cuticles of the hair. It makes it shiny and bouncy your trust me. I'M steps how to use the lock method. We'Re gon na put a leaving spring followed up with a light. Oil and rain base, condition enough Whitney spring humming out put your client under the dryer. You sit under the dryer at home and get your finished look and there you have it she's fresh them under the dryer. It has light bouncy and beautiful Tamika swearing, our signature, VIP Indian curly. Courtney Foster Beauty and Lifestyle: I watched this video about about 6 months ago, and Im watching it again. I thought this is a great way to wash a weave and lets the client know you really care about their hair underneath. I got myself an iron comb the very next day and let me tell you...when I used it on my first client of the day, I thought she was going to need a moment by herself if you know what I mean. The noises she was making from me really getting to her scalp with that comb, I had to tell her to shush! My clients absolute love the new way I wash their weave. They always remind me to bring my special comb to the shampoo bowl. And because they are so relaxed afterwards, my tips have increased.. So thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
