Hair color trans 20. 22.. In my previous video, i talked about hair cut trends, so you can check this i'm going to leave the link down below, but today we're going to talk just about colors and yes, colors can also be trendy or not trendy. Now i can't imagine how ginger hair color like a copper hair color can be actually on trend. It'S so bright, it's so intense, normally! Well, of course, when it's intense, it's pretty intense and also it's it's a warm color. So it's very far normally on that temperature level, even if they're like a cooler, ginger color, so cooler, copper, colors, they're, still slightly warming up unless they are very much bordeaux or pinkish, bordeaux colors. But we are not talking about this. We'Re talking about copper and ginger. So they have slightly gold golden undertones, which probably is not for every lady out there. I lately can see this on afro-american women with black skin, with very dark skin or with slightly lighter or reddish skin. That actually looks very cool because the intensity of their skin is enough to handle that you know they look great with those bright colors. Also, the concept itself of this color is very bright, so it has to pretty much go along with the style you're wearing with the colors you're wearing on your face. What is the color of your skin and your eyes if we talk about full glam top to the bottom? That is a bit different situation with lashes with intense black lash line, you're already accentuating your eyes. So probably that can look slightly fairy tail-ish, but still it can work. If we talk about everyday styling situation, that can a little bit bit too much. Somehow it became a trend and also there are tons of different nuances of red colors. Even if we talk about just copper and ginger, i have to do a separate video about ginger color, something similar to what i've done. Would you look good with blonde hair color? Would you look good with black hair karla i'm going to leave the links down below in those if you're interested? So that's going to be one of those videos for red color, so trend number two light at the front and just highlights in general balayage is not going anywhere. It'S been on trend for many many years right now and i think it's one of the most long lasting trends for hair colors, probably second after the natural hair, color, probably all overall, hair color, of course, because that technique has given us very sunkissed effect of the Hair, it's not sore to the eyes, as opposed to very stripy by the roots right, remember in the 90s, so this is so calm and that what i like about it, you can dress it up or dress it down. Imagine a girl having no makeup having this kind of a hair and she's dressing, something very simple and she's going to the field very close to nature. In this case, this kind of hair looks very organic and very balanced because they do look like sun kissed when the blend is done correctly and also, on the other hand, i can imagine a woman with this kind of a hair. Color is doing a full glam. Being pretty sleek making everything very polished and tidy, so i think those two things are very close to each other and another benefit from this. Is you can actually do it once and then not do it anymore, and your hair is growing and basically looks very nice. All the time, because the border between light and the dark is so seamless - and it's so blended in several months - it's gon na start, instead of here it's gon na start here, so that has loads of benefits and another benefit, actually that some women are scared to Go blonde: you can leave alone, first of all, hair in the back completely then do it just on top here, just partially just some of it. Just by by the face. You still will look blonde if you're new, i'm going to leave the link down below on my body types series, so you will find out which body type you are so for classics. It can be slightly noisy still, even all those balayages if the balayage is not very contrasted, though it can look pretty nice when the contrast is super big. This is when it can mess up a little bit, they're balanced, classic features. It can actually add that noise unnecessary for the eyes, but for other women i think that's great. It just depends more on that. How contrasted you want to go? I have a video about balayage, i'm going to leave the link down below so balayage for your face shape two parts of this video number. Three and probably it should have been number one. Actually it is undyed, hair or naturally gray, hair, salt and pepper, gray or white. So before it wasn't, trendy women would just dye and dye their hair. It has happened probably six or seven years ago. First, when women started letting their gray hair grow, we see more and more mature models out there, some women, still they don't like how their gray hair is like they would prefer their gray hair to actually be greater than they are because they, if there is some Percentage they just don't like it, they prefer whether they're or there so some of them still dye their hair. Some women say: oh, i don't like that. My hair is like salt and pepper. I would prefer it to be just white. No, it's nature gave you that balayage, basically, that contrasted dark and lights strikes that is making it even more interesting. It'S like natural, coloration and also women who never dye their hair. What can be more trendy than that natural hair? It'S never same color. If you really look closer and natural hair of a person, every hair almost is slightly different color, so that creates that natural dimension that you will not find in hair dyes. Every time you dye your hair in one certain color, this color is always uniform. We don't pay much attention on women having hair colors, but men color their hair rarer than women. So this is when you can actually see what real hair dye is doing, sometimes to men's hair. Sometimes it's a naturally uniform, color, a naturally same color, and even though the hair dye itself can be pretty natural looking it can be. For example, it can be that ashy blonde color. It looks very uniform, very much same color, because our natural hair color is very multi-dimensional, so yeah, as i said, undyed hair just make sure it looks tidy number four mushroom hair, mid brown color with slightly ashy undertone in it so mushroom. It'S pretty much like a neutral color, it's not very warm, but it's not very cool as well, because it's brown so brown, it does have some orange undertone in it yeah. But mushroom is still like more to a cooler, color brown. If you've seen this video, what nobody tells you about hair color, i'm explaining exactly what brown color is. I'M gon na leave the link down below, so this mushroom hair color is pretty tricky because, first of all, some women have it. Naturally, okay, many women from north up there from europe. They have this, naturally, along with very cool undertoned, very pale skin and pretty light or hazel eyes, also not very dark, not very light, not very clear, so that gives the whole appearance some kind of an ashiness. I'M gon na separate all women on earth on more northern girls and two more south girls. It'S a huge geronization. I know so. South girls have brighter coloration more intense colors in nature. Northern girls. They normally are paler, but let's just imagine yeah, so they have kind of that natural mushroomish hair color, which several decades ago that was number one color to get rid of. That was a color not to have because 1920s hollywood bleached blonde something bright, something that would be nice on camera, especially black and white camera. Just imagine that mushroom color on black and white camera tone would be somewhere in the middle. The color would be somewhere in the middle first of all, there's no color, so we can only see the depth of tone the darkness, so the darkness would be not there not there. So that would be something very strange and the the light reflection is not correct and all that kind of like not very glamorous looking so, of course, if we see those gorgeous blonde girls on camera and films in hollywood movies, how amazing that looks when it's black And white, first of all, because it gives a huge contrast later they started having that colored movies, okay, but the colors still were not very good quality. Now we have extremely good cameras on our phones, which is making such a realistic photo, including the colors too. So every shade is now important. Every shade is now unique playing with more undertones mid-tones right, so this mushroom color is actually pretty complicated. Color, it's not even easy to get this hair color and again, if you've seen this video, you remember when you dye your hair and then you toned it. You have amazing tone, but then what is the number one color that leaves first, that washes out blue color right, blue and then we have yellow and red right, so yellow and red a stay. So when you're making this mushroom color of your hair, it's very often that in a very short time that becomes brassy again so red and yellow stay there, and so they become orangey and the blue color is the first one then, to leave this hair and the Blue color is extremely important in a certain proportion to create that mushroom, beautiful mushroom effect. I would say that the king of mushroom hair color personally for me, is for now munir. He lives in lebanon, his instagram, his youtube channel is super famous. You also probably have seen it and most of women who go to him, who has pretty intense coloration thick dark hair, and he was the one who just made this blonde dream happen for them. So of course, first day it looks amazing, of course, in some time some of his clients come back to him and sometime in several months and of course, hair already grows, and the blue color of course goes away. So they end up being with that brassy hair. So he's doing it again making that pretty blonde again, but there are loads of different shades of this mushroom hair from a very blonde mushroom hair to a darker brown, ashy hair and all those tones are very interesting, beautiful and they're pretty hard to get, and i Think this is why it's trendy beautiful transformations on youtube on tick tock, having from the dark hair that kind of a beautiful shiny blonde with that mushroom, very expensive, very complicated color northern girl kind of a hair color. And if you ask me, i think if we imagine northern girl having intense thousand girl hair color, it's a bit worse than if a southern girl is wearing northern girl, hair color. I think they can pull it off a little bit more because we're still talking about features we're talking about eyes skin color, so it should be accentuated in a correct way right. So if a northern girl is wearing something extremely bright, they can actually overshot her make it look like a wig slightly slightly too over shouting, slightly too unnatural and almost like a synthetic hair wig. But if a southern girl is wearing northern girl, hair color like a mushroom blonde, then it looks very unusual, interesting something that hasn't been before, but again for some women like this. I think that sometimes can be a little bit washing out their features. So you can always check for your contrast and what is happening for women with contrasted darker in more intense coloration in some cases that mushroom hair can look like gray hair. Just keep that in mind which nothing bad in gray hair. But it just can't be not a desired thing, not a goal in this case. So just keep that in mind, especially when they're doing this striking balayage on the dark hair with very silverish and bright blonde strikes. This also is making them look slightly like gray. On top, but in general i think they more can pull that off. Number five is bronze hair, color bronze is brown and blonde. So basically, this is more or less same, that i told you about that. Balayage blonde. On your brown hair, some women who are light. They do low light instead of fine lines, so they color their roots brown. We just have to see about the amount of contrast you want to go for some women look better with a bigger contrast. Some women look better with more blended contrast. This is the trend. That'S that is staying for a long, long time. Number six is baby lights banks and it started. I think some time ago, baby light bangs is a very thin light right by your face and then not so much on the rest of your hair or on the top of the rest of your hair. But here you have those two small blonde stripes. It just depends on which technique you use. If it's just that and then the rest of the hair is slightly darker, then it can look slightly unnatural, but still i think this is a as a part of balayage technique, especially if it's just slightly lighter. I think that's very nice. It'S sometimes really make your face skin shine and making your eyes pop when it's not very good. Sometimes i think is when the baby light being sits same color as the skin, and then it goes dark brown. So from the distance it looks like it's blending like the front hair is kind of slightly bold, it's blending with the skin with a face. It looks maybe a bit wider, even yeah, and then hair starts a bit higher. So just watch for that. If there's disproportion in there just in general yeah - and i think it's a great way just to try blonding yourself too, if you want, if you don't, want to go blonde overall and also it's so easy to do at home, you always go from the little here. More here, but we're going to talk about this in one week. Okay, so and the last trend number seven is muted colors, not as bright. I don't understand again how it can be that much of a trend as well, because, first of all, the brightness and darkness of our hair, sometimes changes like crazy, especially if you dye your hair. If you tone them, sometimes you have like a freshly dyed hair. Then you tone them and then every wash the color is changing. Your hair is becoming whether brighter or on contrary more dull. So there's a lot of variety in that, so maintaining just because it's a trend, i think it's not a nice idea: muted, colors yeah! I can see sometimes it can actually be more expensive looking than those bright bright colors. But again, i think what more we have to look at is personal characteristic of a person and her facial features and her skin and her coloration. I think that is much more important when you choose to go brighter or duller. dioxazine: I remember how in highschool everyone wanted to get rid of their nordic ”mousy” hair and dyed it black I did that for years and thought my roots looked so grey. Eventually I growed out my real hair and it turned out to be a beautiful golden colour.

CarrieV: There have been so many negative labels put on “mushroom” hair. Mushroom is certainly an improvement over “mousey blonde”, “dirty blonde” and “dishwater blonde”

Francesca Icaza: I have natural mushroom hair and I've always hated it! I call it "mouse hair"...I didn't know it could be beautiful to other's perpective. So from now on, i'm calling it mushroom hair ❤️

Fryda Wolff: Pro tip if you're letting the grey go: Bleach in silver chunks and the growout looks fabulous. Particularly if you're keeping up with purple shampoo. I'm letting the grey go but with the caveat of dropping in these massive highlights every time I get it cut. Currently the chunks are a rose that will fade out to silver. Looks great!

mpeppermint23: Actually, copper hair trending makes total sense. Copper is one of the brightest colors around and people are coming out of a pandemic where they were unseen, now people want to be seen and noticed by everyone. This is one of the reasons bright, warm colors are trending.

Luca Anamaria ♬: I have this mushroom coloured hair! It is brown, gold, red, whatever you want. I always thought it was fascinating how I looked like I was wearing different hair colours depending on how the light hits the strands.

pochamocha23: I LOVE undyed/natural hair! It is so much more flattering for mature women because it fits them perfectly.

Teresa Fino: I ditched the dye 3 years ago and absolutely LOVE my silver highlights.

Safflower Oyl: I was born a mushroom girl although my mother called it "rodent".

RMNTZ: My natural hair is on the darker side if mushroom, and when i was a teenager i hated it, i thought it looked boring and dull. After many years of experiments i came back to my natural hair and i love it! My colorist made highlights in airtouch technique to add some dimension and now i can go without visiting her for months, just taking care of blonde areas and slightly changing the tone at home if i want to. Best decision

Celine Bazzi: My natural hair is mousy and I am super fair + cool complexion & hazel green eyes. For so many years I felt like everything blended in together and was washed out. Dark brown didn’t do much for me either. I dyed my hair black and I don’t think I could ever go back! My natural features are so pronounced and people can’t tell that it’s not my natural color… the only problem is when my roots grow in with that mousy color lol

A W: Thank you for this helpful explanation about these new colour trends, Aly. Your channel is amazing with lots of informative content that help us discover and embrace our own beauty. These are beautiful but regarding trends, it's absolutely important to know what is best and most flattering on us. For instance, light ash blonde, platinum or grey hair colours look dull and washed out on me, while rich or intense colours look the best, especially if it's close to my natural hair colour, like chocolate brown, chestnut, caramel or even auburn, as I'm Flamboyant Natural in the Kibbe Body Type System with a fair skin tone, naturally brunette. So it's fundamental to know what works the best for us than following a trend per se. Thank you

Cori Sellner: Perfect timing I am planning on dyeing my hair copper/ginger very soon ! I am looking forward to the more in depth video on red hair

mahadewiiii: I had white blonde hair as a young child and I remember being so excited when an older girl told me I would have mousy coloured hair when I grew up But I’ve been trying to dye it blonde again since my teens

IfYouMeetAWolf: Thank you once again Aly for reading my mind about what I needed ❤️

Brittany L. Cobb: 0:54 copper is my go-to braid hair color- #30 - compliments my warm brown undertones to the tee!! Thank you for highlighting this ❤ I am a warm autumn (for all my ladies that are into color analysis)

Peachy Heartthrob: Ginger is the color I got compliments everyday! I loved it, I felt very pretty with it. Now I'm growing out my natural haircoor. Cause I've been platnum last summer and it got very damaged, I now have a short brown bob.

Chloe Jayde: I recently dyed my hair copper and am loving it. My skin looks like it glows so much more

Caittie Lynn: Another great video as always!!! It’s funny to see mushroom or mousy hair in style! That is my natural colour. I had very fair hair as a child. In high school I dyed it dark brown. Looking back at photos it looks like I am wearing a wig! I also found I needed makeup to balance out the intensity of the darker hair on me. I started getting a few greys at 21. I now use a cap to do baby lights on my mousy hair and it works well to blend my grays. Super low maintenance and my hair lightens to an ashy blonde very easily. But subtle baby lights still look best on me I think. Rather than all over bleach blonde. My eyes are hazel and I am pretty low contrast.

Jessica Gomes: About 30% of my hair is white by now, I started gaining grey hair very young, but as I have cool olive skin I hate seeing it on myself, it’s heavy looking, so I go for coloration unfortunately.

yeahweburnstuff: Also, I had very mushroom colored hair as a teenager. People often asked me why I had 'grey" hair. I have dyed ever since then,!

Pumibel: I love the mushroom hair. I had that silvery brown shade as a kid, but I had an olive complexion and black eyebrows. It darkened over time naturally, but it was never as black as my eyebrows.

marianne richard: So my natural, greying, dark mushroom hairs are trendy? I though I was lazy, but no, I was avant-garde! xD

tumblr.: What I don't like about blonde hair is how it kinda melts with the face and makes the head look bigger. I am naturally blonde and dye my hair dark brown for years because of that lol i also feel darker hair looks healthier and shinier. Kinda funny how women invest so much time and money on bleaching/damaging their hair.

Patricia Castrejón: Thank you Aly for your amazing work

Nitzan G: 10:45 I live in Finland and see people who's hair is naturally mushroom-colored dye it a bright black, yeah it looks more off than these Lebanese ladies having their hair dyed mushroom

jo mckinnon: I've always loved my ash blonde hair except that coloring the gray out of my temples is a problem. box colour, no matter what, always pulls brass. oh well.

yeahweburnstuff: Agree with you completely Aly! Great video as usual.

Elle M: I think it would be cool to see a video about tattoos for the kibbe types. It might be difficult since there are so many possibilities, but I've been wanting tattoos for a while and like to take everything into consideration. I think I'm SN and I really like those somewhat minimalistic flower tattoos, but maybe they wouldn't look right.

Anita: Would love to see a video on undyed hair as the types age. I am FN and can't be around chemicals so now have creamy white hair - no contrast which isn't the best look for FN I think.

Wensu: 0:17 Copper 2:00 Highlights 4:18 Undyed 6:07 Mushroom 12:00 Bronde 12:32 Babylights 13:52 Muted

Kateyan: Finally I'm in trend. At least with the colour. My hair is natural copper and was never dyed.

Katie Pie: My Grandmother was known as "Mouse" because of her mousey haircolour. I have mousey hair with aurbern strands but a lot of those are turning grey and I have decided to let my natural colour grow out b4 I go too grey because I don't like the look of regrowth. I'm not very grey yet but I feel more and more women are embracing it .

deebeebop: Southern girl with mushroom hair here ! I always thought it washed me out and also didn’t like my thick eyebrows .. I guess at some point everyone is trendy

SuperBike Racer: This channel is amazing, I learn so much!

Katarzyna Zajdel: Please do a video on short hair for different body types, especially the tall ones like dramatic or flamboyant natural <3

Veronica Elliott: I just found your channel and love it. I have learned so much. Thank you

Anna: My mom and brothers have the mushroom colour and I have always loved it, I ended up with my dads dark brown hair and always wanted my mom's and brother's beautiful hair colour. We are from "the north east" of Europe.

ZestZonerTheOblivious: I dyed my hair copper in Dec 2021 so that is so 2021 to me. I seen it and loved it. Now I want a new color or to grow my hair out.

Kathryn Louise Berman: I will never again, if I can help it, let my gray grow out (70% by my mid 30's). It still takes toning and proper styling, which was more maintainence than if I just color treated it. And, with my Type II skin type, it aged me by about 10 years. Thankfully, I had someone in my life who could gently be truthful with me about the way my hair ACTUALLY made me look. And once I went back to coloring others expressed their relief.

s a: I have the Bronde look at the moment. It is hard to maintain as a balayage because of the contrast in colors. I'm not sure if I will let it grow out or keep it up.

Essi: Mushroom! I love that name for this colour Where I live it's just known as "dirt road grey"... can you guess why I thought for ages my natural colour was boring and ugly? But I love mushroom

Kalice: :-) Here they always called it "straßenköterblond", sth. like translated mongrel-blond. So funny how just years have to go by and what was "ugly" once becomes fashion.

Kathy H: Ash (mushroom) colors absorb light... this making the hair look dull Warm colors refract light this given the hair a healthier, shinier appearance

Kim at LastLooks29: Mushroom hair - After 50 years, I feel seen. Too bad I've spent the last 30 years covering it up because it was soooo mousy! LOL

tulilulit: So about your real body type, are you an FG Aly?

noirettebeauty: Some women look incredible with greys and mushroom—anyone can look great in any color as long as the warm-cold balance match. I’m still waiting for my hair to grey or whiten, but til then, i’ll continue to be grateful that nature gave me colors I like on me.

Monica Mercado: I love copper hair! I will wait for that video!

Elsa Diaz: I still couldn’t figure out what color suits me and is in trend for the season ‍♀️

Leniwy Kot: - Is your hair blonde or brown? Me, a natural mushroom hair: - YES.

Jo.K.: My hair is a balayage fail. I've just written to my stylist and asked her to find time to look at my hair to see if she can help by either toning my hair again or planning a bigger job in a few months. Parts of the highlights look great and the color is mostly beautiful, but I misremembered my hair dye history and forgot about some old violet and copper highlights, I'd completely forgotten about those highlights! There's also the issue of my visually cool toned off-black hair actually has a lot of red pigment which becomes apparent when my hair is bleached (which my recent stylist insisted on doing first to see how much she could lift) and stylists are only allowed to use 9& bleach here in Denmark - I've been told. We were going for gray-blending light ash-tone which we realized wasn't possible with what's allowed here. BUT I remember nearly 18 years ago I had champagne highlights. So I don't know if my stylist is misinformed or if the law around hair bleach has changed here in Denmark.

D S: Hey does embroidered tops or dresses look good on soft gamines? Given ofcourse the pattern is small, animated etc

Marie Barker: God bless you Aly!!! ❤️

rosé💝: Alyyyy pls make a video on dressing of short girls like under 4'11 ... Since we are very petite. I would like to hear your tips on dressing this body

Zig M: As a more “northern” type person with pale skin and naturally black hair, I’m a little confused. It is my natural hair color, so is Aly saying that it looks fake on me?

Marie Lang.: please do the video on the red hair soon!

mendyviola: I have natural baby lights, but it’s just my grey coming in.

Cream Cake: What I'm getting from this is white girls can either go blonde, bronde or don't dye their hair at all

MegInWhispers: i have naturally mushroom-undyed-grey hair

Earthwisdom: I think red hair is beautiful on light skin and especially light with freckles. Like the girl @ 1:08. Red hair definitely doesn't over power them it goes with them. Red hair is a light illuminating color. Only 1% of the people in the world are natural redheads. I don't think it looks flattering or attractive on dark skin, olive skin, or flat muddy tones at all. That color skin overpowers it or something but that is a definite clash.

Z.B: I have red (face)skin, green eyes and very fine and light eyebrows. I also only wear silver. I have darker blond hair but I don‘t know what color would suit me best because I want to go lighter in blonde. Highlights? Complete cool blonde? Some dark blond with light? I seriously don‘t know

SOUL: 11:33 no sorry, I disagree. The blonde hair on the right women makes her look tired and washed out. I prefer the left, looks much more healthy and awake.

it's Sarah: Isn't mushroom hair like an ashy blonde balayage or an ombré hair ?

Earthwisdom: A northern girl can pull off light hair better than a southern girl can pull off dark? *Scratches head...Huhhh? That pic of the of the girl on the right @10:50 is stunning. I think of Elizebeth Taylor, Bette Page, Snow White...

Andrèa: I'm a brunette True Summer thinking about going blonde. Anyone have any tips to share? Thanks!

Ray Gin: I dont know why but i think mushroom hair looks amazing when its dyed but not so great when natural. Then it just looks like dirty blonde. I think its too warm when natural?

Hermine Nazari: Today your flowers are beautiful

Alexa: 1:44 YEEEES THANK YOUUUUUUU <33

VICTORIA CHATZISARROU: ❤❤❤

Δεσποινα Σταφυλα: Thank you ❤️

b. Aa:

Gmail Sender: I might have to start taking some of these beauty gurus advice with a grain of salt. I mean when she said a black person looks better with red hair than a natural born redhead? Um...no. Sorry.

flura Stevenson: Thank you

P.: Balayage is a little bit like chipmonk - style.

Ehsan Farham: Great❤

adrienne jung martinez: Ofcourse now that I have bleached and dyed my natural dishwater blonde hair, they rename it "mushroom" and its trending now.....I guess I better start growing it out

New Balance: The "northern" girl looks stunning with that "southern" girl hair. What??? Why is it "worse"?

Malvina Santiago: I've been doing hair over 20 yrs and disagree with you on this video. "Southern" girls and "northern" girls can look absolutely beautiful with contrasting color. Also what you called baby lights aren't that that is a money piece. Baby lights is when you do very fine highlights that blend. I love a lot of your videos but you're definitely off on this one sorry.

Marisa Martins: SLAVA !

XxRomaNovaxX: Blonde is overrated and kinda boring sorry

Marie Barker: Jesus is coming soon! Make sure you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Don't be left behind! JESUS LOVES YOU! John 3:16, 2 Peter 3:9, Luke 5:32, Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9, Matthew 4:17, Mark 16 16-17.
