Hi, my name is Claire Coleman, I'm a hair stylist and I'm going to show you how to do a sock bun with long hair. First thing: we're gon na do is we're gon na, take a sock and you just cut the foot, the toe part off and you're gon na roll it down to create kind of a donut, and I like to roll it from the toes to the top, because It has elastic at the top so keep it nice and tight and then just fold it over little donut and we're gon na start with the hair in a ponytail. You can put it anywhere on the head that you like, depending on where you want the height of your bun, to be, and then you're just going to use the sock as the base. And if you have a lot of hair you're going to want to separate a couple of sections just to make it a little bit easier to work with, so I think I'm going to do two. Maybe three sections with this one and you're just gon na start. Wrapping your hair around the sock bun or around the sock and just use your fingers to kind of feed the hair through like that and just keep wrapping and make sure that you're covering all of the sock and really try and make sure you get your ends. In there cuz this is going to be a nice clean, tight, look and just work section. By section it doesn't have to go all in one shot. You can adjust everything pretty easily just make sure that you're covering everything in there - and I you just - I really just stick my finger through the sock and then pull the section through makes it easier that way and just keep feeding through until everything's covered. I think we're gon na do one more section and just keep working in the same direction that you're going and it'll just make it look nice and smooth. It will cover everything. Then you can pull it and make it tighter who's there, and once you get your ends in there, if you feel like it's a little loose, just secure it with some pins, you can also spread it out to make sure that everything's covered evenly. Here'S the back. You can see, and from the front my name is Claire Coleman and I just showed you how to do a sock bomb with long hair.

Julia Gligor: Finally!! I've watched a million videos and this is the only one that was able to tame my thick, long hair into a perfect bun! None of those ugly leftovers to wrap around the base of the bun! Bliss! And no there was no pulling and no pain, for those concerned. :D Thank you!

Ashley Blake: I have been trying for HOURS to do a pretty looking sock bun and finally, a technique that makes my waist-long hair look "clean", thank you!

Tinyoneo: oh thank you so much! this will be perfect for my uniform days in JROTC this year. i have long hair and it just looked so unclean with leftover hair. now i can do this with no problem!

TheFashiongirl05: thank you! this makes so much more sense than what everyone else is doing. i have long hair and the other technique doesn't work.

JJJLongHair4u2c: This is a good idea but seems it might be hard to take out with longer hair. Wish you could have showed the take down as well. I would say for short hair this would be ok and safer, but never for long, that's just my opinion.

MissFlux: Thanks for posting ... My hair is down to my buttocks so this method MAY be better. I will try in the next few days :) thanks

Olivia Flanigan: This is so pretty

shabbydeb: How do you take it OUT? It gives me a headache just looking at all the tugging. I have bum long hair...I would never try this.

Samantha Madero: She looks like she's in paint

baddielauraa: Youre so rough on her my god

alana burnet: doesnt work.

lauren thompson: Jesus she's a human not a rag doll, pretty sure what you've just done is abuse.

Samantha Madero: Pain*
