Hi, my name is Claire Coleman, I'm a hair stylist and I'm going to show you how to do a puffy hair updo we're gon na start with a little bit of texture spray that has a heat protectant. We want to make sure to protect the hair because we're going to use our curling iron to curl it and we're just going to use a one and a half inch curling iron and we're gon na curl away from the face and just take small sections that Match the size of your curling iron and curl away from the face I like to start towards the root and let the hair feed through the clamp just to make sure that everything is evenly heated up there. You go and we're gon na turn. First thing: we're going to do is we're going to section off the top and then I'm just going to go back to the side and I'm going to keep a little bit of the front section off I'm in a section at just behind the ear on both Sides and the rest of it I'm just going to pull her hair into a ponytail and then we're gon na pull that into a bun we're going to be securing the top and the side sections onto this. So you want to make sure that it acts as an anchor and that you have it nice and secure to the head. Now we're gon na work in small sections, starting from the part closest to your foundation here we're gon na spray, with some hairspray right at the roots and then begin teasing. So did tease you just press while holding your section tight and you want to go from root to the mid shaft of the hair, and you want to keep this front section separate. So so we're really just working with the top part and each section that I teased I'm just kind of laying over top of the foundation bun that you created and then you're gon na take a Mason Pearson brush and just kind of smooth. Your section out. Just to get any fish hooks or snares and then you're really starting to form the shape that you want for your hair. Once you start getting the shape that you want, you can start pinning around your foundation button once you're done, pinning you're gon na. Take your side sections and you can either leave them out and curl them or you can I'm gon na leave some of this part out curl that and just wrap it around just gives a little bit of an extra detail and then just spray to secure a Little hairspray can see from the back and from the front my name is Claire Coleman, I'm a hair stylist, and this is how to do a puffy hair up style.
