Hi I'm T Cooper, I'm a New York City, makeup, artist, hairstylist and co-founder of beauty and grooming company Metro. Look today we're gon na talk about how to put hair up in a scrunchie bun. So for this style, all you're really gon na need is a hair tie some good old-fashioned hairspray, and for me personally, I like to use a nice little wide, toothed comb. I like to use it to smooth the hair, and then I like to use it to aid me in the scrunching process, so I'm gon na turn my mount to the side, so we can get started now the foundation of this style. This bun is gon na, be a ponytail. You don't always have to use a ponytail to do a bun, but I just find it a lot easier to do it that way. So now, I'm gon na go in with my wide tooth comb. I'M just gon na smooth all the way at the hair back and that hairspray is just aiding and taming the flyaways and kind of hoping to give the hair some memory. So now what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na take the hair time. I'M gon na gather all this hair. I'M not gon na. Do it high, but I'm not going to do it all the way down to the nape of the neck, probably like someplace in the middle like right here now, I'm gon na go over it a couple times till it feels nice and secure, and when I pull It through I like to pull it through as close to the base of the ponytail as possible, because then you can have other little hairs that slide through. If you do it a little lower, especially if the hair is cut into layers. Now I'm gon na spray, the entire ponytail and I'm gon na back home it. So I can start my scrunching process, so I'm just gon na back home it it's gon na make it a nice little messy bun, which I totally love, I'm that kind of girl - and this looks like a rat nest right now, but trust me it's gon na - Be gorgeous, and even after you tease it, I like to just spray it a little bit more and go in and just kind of scrunch. It with my hand. So now that the hairs like this, I'm gon na gather it and just like scrunch it up like so into like a little ball and I'm just gon na, pin it from every corner and pin it until it feels secure and actually pin into it. Because this is loose hair, it's not a it's, not a traditional bun or anything so you're gon na have loose hairs everywhere, especially if your hair is cut into layers. You never know what hair didn't get incorporated into these pins, so you want to cover your options and really really pin and because of the fact that it's so messy and so everywhere, when you pin into it, you won't really be able to see the pins. So you don't have to worry about it. That'S why the scrunching is so important. All this texture really does hide the pins and I'm gon na go a couple more pins, just so that it's gon na stay put and how messy you like. It is up to you, you could even wreck it a little bit more. If you want to, you could scrunch it a little tighter if you want to, and if you have a natural curl in your hair a lot of times you could even use like gel or something to release some of your natural curl and scrunch that up to Dress it up a little bit and then this is what it looks like from the back: a nice messy, scrunching fun, I'm C Cooper, and I hope this helps you out. Thank you for watching you

SnakeBit: thanks
