Hair Tutorial - Simple And Romantic Low Chignon
In this tutorial, Annie Patton Hairstylist at Tangerine Salon, shows you how to create a Low Chignon. All you will need to achieve this look is a few clear elastic hairbands, a few bobbi pins and Aveda Air Control Hairspray.

So today I'm going to be showing you how to do a nice low chignon. We will start by moving our part a little far over for a more dramatic effect. So once you moved your part, you'll take a back section and tease or a little bit more volume. It is best to take a small section on the side and back home as well and you'll do the same on the other side, you'll lightly comb, the top to smooth out any bit at the backcombing. That is visible. Next, you will create your ponytail as you're combing, be sure to comb very lightly. So you don't pull out the back combing and then you will secure with an elastic next, you will split the ponytail in half at the base, putting your ponytail through the gap in creating a Topsy tail. We will take another elastic input at the very end of your ponytail I'll. Take the end of the ponytail and put it between the gap using bobby pins you'll place to secure any loose hairs, bring to the side and secure with a bobby pin as well and spread apart to make it more full. So now you will pull pieces out from right below the temple and then pull little pieces out as a bang. These are just my shorter layers and we'll pull apart a little bit more, just to add a little bit more volume and then you'll use your air control, bring a little bit more secure and there you have it a nice Jing Yan

I just added an extra elastic in the middle of the ponytail as well, just to keep all of my bangs from falling out and kind of rolled it instead of tucking it in (it's a bit too long for that), and voila!
