Jackknifing, your bobby pins is the key to keeping your updos hi malpause and new pals. Today'S video, i'm going to show you three of my favorite quick updo situations that are super romantic even great for a wedding day, i'm going to be in a wedding soon, so i have been just kind of like practicing what i'm gon na do with my hair, Because i will also be doing makeup for the event, so i'm not gon na have much time, but i still want to look like polished. You know so these three updos are super duper easy and you can totally do them yourself with just some bobby pins, hairspray and an elastic. So let's get romantic. My little matcha latte here did look really pretty. You know a few minutes ago when i filmed how i make this, which, by the way the recipe will be on my instagram, because today's sponsor is jade leaf. Matcha now you guys know, i have worked with them for years and worked with them most recently. Last year on some videos - and it has been such a delight to work with them - this was so pretty. I added chocolate, okay, because today we're having a treat as we work with our romantic hair and our romantic themed. Well, it was green, pink, red, deliciousness fun. Cutesyness. Look at that, though, like it's so good, it's so good! Those of you who don't know i love matcha. I find that it has such a long energy burn. You get nice kind of mild energy throughout the day. So i love after i have my coffee to turn to matcha, for that, like you know, energy that i need for the rest of the work day and i love jade leaf matcha. I have purchased jade leaf matcha for years now and i'm so excited to have them as a sponsor again, because this is something that i feel like has been super life-changing for me, especially with someone who has an autoimmune disease. Matcha is wonderful for fatigue and jade leaf is 100 premium organic japanese matcha highest of quality high, like the best matcha i have ever tasted. Today i used the barista edition ceremonial grade for my okay, i think she's beautiful my beautiful latte, okay, even though she's kind of melted and sad looking, i will have a discount code and link for you below make sure if you're a macho lover like me, i Love you so much like for real. You can shop, jade, leave matcha, link below and uh get your discount, but thank you so much jadely for sponsoring. Today'S romantic video we're gon na have some romantic, beautiful, melted chocolate energy like to find out the recipe for my delicious semantic, matcha latte, that's the new title of it. I will have that in the info below as well. So, like i said, all you're going to need is a hairspray, some bobby pins, a hair tie a texturizing spray. If you have one, if you like one so first i just have my hair is already styled with waves. If you would like to see how i get these waves uh, i will have that video linked below as well. I have down to the detail of every step of how i get this like imperfect, perfect wave situation and it is also a really great foundation for updos. So, let's get into the first updo i'm going to take my texturizing spray, i'm going to be using the kevin murphy do-over and i'm just going to spray this throughout my ends, mostly because this is going to be the foundation for all of the hairstyles. Pretty much. This serves as a nice dry shampoo and if you have thinner finer hair, this adds grip and texture, and it just makes things a lot easier. I mean look at that. It already looks like i have twice the amount of hair that i really actually have. This. First hairstyle is going to be a modern take on a french twist um. I love a french twist. I do not like it polished unless there's like some sort of like you're wearing an edgy, earring or something, but today's take on the french twist is super easy. All you're gon na do is basically, if you have thinner finer, hair, you're gon na take your entire section in the back: okay and you're gon na start with the bottom of your hair and you're just gon na start folding it in and twisting it okay. This is not like exact, proper technique on how to do a fringe twist, but i'm telling you you will get it perfect every time and your hair will look so elegantly disheveled. I want to show you guys something really quickly, because i have said this on my channel for literal years, probably longer than i've been drinking jade leaf. Matcha i've been talking about jackknifing bobby pins, and this is the foundation honestly for all of these updates. I should have started with this, so i'm just going to show you exactly what i do and what i mean by that in the front of my hair. So just you can take any section of hair, take a bobby pin, and by jackknifing i mean you're, going to take that open, bobby pin you're going to take that go towards the back of your head. Okay, this is for demo purposes only and as soon as you have the bobby pin secured like you could leave it like this right, but it's a little trick. It holds your hair and also hides the bobby, pin so you're gon na put it in it would hold it just like this, then you're going to jackknife it, meaning as your hair is inside. The bobby pin turn it around and push it towards your face and then now you have a hidden. I mean it's not the cutest right now, because i just did this for demo purposes. But now you have a hidden bobby pin! That'S gon na stay like look jackknifing. Your bobby pins is the key to keeping your updos like look at this honestly update number one: okay back to the tutorial, so you're going to start jackknifing your bobby pins, okay, towards the opposite ear of where your fringe twist is facing. So, as you fold it in go ahead and jag knife, your bobby pins until you feel like your french twist, is secure and once it's secure girl, it is secure and then you're gon na spray it with hairspray. You can pull out any front pieces back pieces to make this hairstyle pop. Whatever you would like to do, it will look really nice and disheveled if you do that. So that is how you get a super simple literally, even if you take like a few times to practice this one. This will take you like three minutes, i'm serious and spray it down and you're good to go. This next hairstyle is basically a french twist, but all around the edges of your head. So i want to make this a little different and kind of end this twist with a side bun. This looks good at all from all angles when you get your picture taken. So i really like this updo a lot and uh you get to see hair in the front of the face and you get to see a fun twist on the side and in the back it is a very like photogenic hairstyle, and i guess all of these Are that's part of the point they're fast, easy, but also photogenic, so all you're going to do is take whatever side. You part your hair on. I part mine in the middle, so i'm going to start on either side and start on. One side start twisting literally just twist and fold in the hair until you reach the side where you want your bun, then you're going to secure your hair with the bobby pins in the twists, then you're going to tie off that end and then just randomly secure. Those outer pieces into a messy side, bun and start pulling out pieces in the front and in the back whatever you prefer. That'S me. This is such a really kind of, like i don't know, i feel like all of these are pretty polished updos, but with a little bit of edge. All of them look great three like 360., because that's important, it's not just what looks good in the front and what looks good in the back. You want to look good all the way around. You know what i mean, and this one is just a really cool. Like kind of visual updo that will literally take you three to five minutes once you get the hang of it, this one is a little more uh intensive, not really, though, what you're going to do is you're going to section this part of your hair, so you're Going to take your comb section, actually you don't even need a comb. I don't know why. I said that, because we're doing this with all of our fingers, because it's disheveled honey, it doesn't need to be perfect and updos that are like perfect and polished to me are just not they're, not my favorite. They might be yours, which is cool they're. Just not my my cup of tea, get it my cup of tea. So that's the point super easy. You don't need a bunch of tools so just grab the sections in front of your face. Leave them out then you're going to take your elastic, secure, a low bun then fan it out. Take your bobby pins on either side jack knife them in okay. Until it feels secure, you might have more hair than me, you might have less hair than me. The amount of bobby pins and the amount of security you need for your updo, it is going to vary. Obviously so i'm just using the amount that i need and once you have, that bun secured start just taking sections from the front and twisting and securing them in random places, but to cover that elastic and go over the top of that bun. So it really gives you a nice kind of sloping downward falling type of updo, and it just looks really pretty like you could like. I said you could walk down the aisle with this hairstyle or you could just like go to brunch or go on a date, and it's going to look beautiful. Do don't forget, while you're getting ready to have some jade leaf matcha, to keep to keep doing that hair honey. Keep practicing make yourself a delicious romantic latte with melted, chocolate, okay and whipped cream and just practice these, and i promise you you'll, get it and you'll and you'll be thrilled and healthy. I would love to know, leave a comment below which hairstyle is your favorite and which one you might see yourself wearing at a special event or at your own wedding. I know valentine's day is over, but we're hopping on into wedding season all right, and so i hope that this was as helpful as i think it probably is. bree villarruel: The French twist with a twist it’s so cute! I am definitely doing that this weekend for my date night

Jenn: I’m going to a wedding next month! You just swooped in and saved the day!

As someone who has thin hair I like to watch videos like this to give me some ideas on how to wear my hair because I love to wear my hair up off my neck. Although all of them are super cute and look easy to perfect. With some practice of course.

Celia Medina: The French twist just has a pop of something different. You could sell any style though, so pretty!
