Hello, my lovelies for today's hairstyle of the day, I'm gon na do a little bit differently. I'M gon na show you guys quickly how I curl my hair with a straightener. I haven't done that in a very long time and then we're gon na jump into the hairstyle. This one, I think, is really great for a homecoming any party. It'S really pretty. It is a braid, but I think it's really gorgeous. Let'S get started already applied. Some heat protectant - this is one of my favorites. This is a cream formula. Blow-Dry perfection and heat protectant cream love this stuff. It is incredible: it's extremely weightless for my fine, thin hair and then for the straightener, I'm going to use the Bionic 10x very, very awesome product for this curl method. I'M gon na be working in smaller sections and I'm gon na take the first sections closer to my face away and then I'm going to alternate going away towards my face away towards my face to give it that really tousled effortless wavy look wan na comb. My hair I like to keep the end of my hair at least one or two inches, not curled, nice and strict. Now that my curls have set and cooled off, I'm gon na apply a little bit of a dry texture spray. Just because I need a little bit of texture and grit for this hairstyle, I'm going to use a saints and sinners dry finish: texture spray. This is a really really great product and I love this brand really awesome, and then we have it for these curls. They last several days, probably until I guess super sweaty or I just wash my hair. This straightener is incredible and I love that it gives like this really modern take on those everyday curls with the straighter ends. I love this look and I think it's a really effortless. I'M gon na leave these front pieces hanging down because I want it to look really pretty romantic and it's gon na frame my face in a way. So I'm just gon na grab a section right behind my fringe. If you will - and I'm gon na create my Dutch braid, a Dutch braid is three sections where you take the outer sections underneath in the middles portion. What really helps me when I start adding hair is I take the outer section, bring it towards the middle, hold it and then add the hair to that middle section. That way, it's already in place it's already in the middle, and it makes it easier for myself once I reach the back of my head in the middle, I'm gon na tie it off with a clear elastic and I'm gon na. Do the exact same braid on the other side of my head, of course, I'm going to add a lot more texture, and I mentioned to the braids by pulling them apart. It is very simple I like to start in the very top working my way towards the bottom of the braid. In my opinion, when I pull apart my braids, I think it looks so much better. It looks like I have a ton of hair and I just love the way it looks to finish off the look. I'M gon na take each braid and bring it to the other side and kind of tuck it underneath the Dutch braid with bobby pins, to complete the entire look to make it look cohesive and that completes the first hairstyle of the day. I hope you guys like it. I think this particular hairstyle, where you start to braid a little bit further, I think, is great for fringes or if you have bangs, and that brings me to question of the day how many of you actually have bangs or have had bangs I've had them. When I was a child, I think my parents just were annoyed and that my hair was always in my face and I never wanted to wear a ponytail still like you know what let's fix this. I think I still have a picture somewhere, but I never had bangs in my teenage years or adult life. I just think because my forehead is not that big, I don't really need them or I don't think I look good in them. I don't know, I don't think I would ever get bangs, maybe maybe I'll surprise myself one day and just like next week, BIC, oh, hey guys and have bangs. jdeeann: Love this hairstyle on you. Yes, I've had bangs off and on throughout my life. I always think I want to soften my face with fringe, but I always end up growing them out because they stay oily looking though the summer months (Texas heat is brutal). Last time I cut bangs was after I turned 40. I wanted to cover the wrinkles I was noticing in my forehead, but I couldn't handle the oily looking bangs. I decided the lesser of the two evils was the wrinkles. :)

Réka S: I had bangs as a teenager for about 2 years :D It started out as full straight across "anime" bangs (my obsession at the time), and about a year later I had a pixie cut done which of course included bangs as well. As that one was growing out I had side-swept bangs of some sort (I cut it myself sooo it wasn't always looking great), but later realized this stuff wasn't for me and I grew them out. Laura Binding: in the uk we call bangs a fringe, i have had a fringe for most of my life and my hairdresser is trying to convince me to grow it out, so i am currently stuck in the middle with hair that keeps falling out, so these styles help loads, my go to at the moment is a dutch braid just across the centre of my head into a plait going down the side, pulled apart of course! i love seeing the hairstyles you come up with and am addicted to plaits!!!

Romina: hey sweetie! me and bangs go way back haha i have a decently large forehead so ever since i was a kid i had bangs because everybody said it fit my face... but what they never actually thought of is that my hair is soooo thin so my bangs always ended up looking like spaghetti strings in front of my face (unless i was willing to sacrifice half of my hair to become my bangs). so now, well into the phase where i can decide my own haircuts, i have been avoiding bangs if i can. right now i just have a side swept bang and i'm cool with that, and when it grows out, we'll see what to do! :D love your videos as always, it's great to have been seeing you grow so much in the last year, i always credit you when people ask me about my pretty hairstyles haha!

I think when I go in to get my hair thinned and trimmed I may ask for some "face framing" pieces like yours, so my hair isn't so one-note. :)
