Hey everyone. Thank you so much for being here today. My name is denise, i'm also known as heywig sister on instagram and facebook. Today, i'm here with a wig review for you, i am partnering with name brand. Wigs and together we are bringing you a review of estetica mckenzie in the color r6 27h. That is the wig i have on my head right now. If you're curious about this style by estetica, it's long, it's brunette. It'S really really really pretty then stick around for the rest of this video i'll show you all about her and i'll. Take you outside to see this color all right, everyone. I am once again so honored and thrilled to be working with name brand, wigs on a wig review. I'Ve said this in previous videos, but retailers that are willing to work with reviewers are really gold to this community because they bring so many more wigs to the review platform. Like youtube, then, probably would be here otherwise, just because there are so many out there and most of us who do these reviews could not afford to purchase all of these on our own and name brand. Wigs has been a trusted retailer of mine for years and ever since i started working with them on these periodic reviews, i have gotten so much great feedback from you guys on how much you love purchasing from them. What great customer service they offer and all of the kind of support that they offer, which makes me super super happy, because i want to support a company that supports this community because i'm a wig sister, just like you guys and i'm a part of the community For those of you who are not familiar with name brand wigs, they are owned and operated by a company called joshua 24.. That is actually a christian faith-based company and it's grounded in the bible, verse joshua 24, which i think is really really awesome and um. I'M just thrilled to work with a company that kind of puts their faith in god at the forefront of what they do, and i certainly try to do that myself. They have a website with lots of education. A blog they've got great customer service, and i've heard through the grapevine that occasionally, if you call them to place an order, there may even sometimes be an extra discount available. So if you're looking to save money, i definitely think there are a website to check out. So one other thing i do like to start: i've started asking you guys to do in these more recent videos is, if you're so inclined and you think of it. Please send an email to them. It'S support, namebrandwigs.com and just thank them for working with reviewers. I'M not the only one that they work with, and it really does bring a lot more content to you guys and i personally do not like to purchase a wig that i haven't seen a review on. So it is really fantastic. All right. Everyone, oh and i'll, have a link in the description box so that you can go straight to this wig. If you like what you see okay now, let's talk about mckenzie mackenzie, actually wasn't on my radar at all and when they reached out to me - and they gave me a couple of different wigs to choose from to review that they wanted to get reviews out. I took one look at this one and i thought well that one i have to try. I mean just look at this hair, you guys it is so luxurious. Let me show you what mckenzie looks like from all sides before we talk too much about her. Some things to notice these long layers and a really beautiful wave pattern. I hope i'm far enough away that you're getting the whole thing, because she is quite long and these uh layers are really stunning. You can see she has just so many so a little bit of a shorter layer in the front, not a bang, but it certainly could be cut into one and then you've got a little bit of a longer layer here and then longer and longer and longer Till you get to the very end - and i personally find layers like this - not only super flattering, and it makes a wig like this easier to wear, because it is rather long and it helps it to tangle less. But it's also so fabulous for updos and i think what i'll do once i'm done with the main part of the review here - is i'll haul. All my stuff, up to my bathroom and i'll, do a quick little styling for you guys to show you what the potential is in a wig like this for styling, because i know that can be a real challenge for a lot of us and it does open Up so many possibilities uh to you, so that is what she looks like. So what are kind of my general impressions about this one very comfortable, the estetica caps run just a little big. I would say that estetica caps in general are kind of big head friendly they're, definitely on the more average large side of things. So when you think about wig manufacturers, all of them sort of fall somewhere on the average cap size. Spectrum ellen villa, for example, is known to fall a little smaller than average and estetica belletress. Those are known to fall a little bit bigger than average, and these uh estetica wigs do fit me a little big, so i usually have to cinch them in a little bit. I usually get a good amount of room up here in the crown and they usually have a ton of stretch. Mckenzie has all of that. So if you have been struggling because a lot of these manufacturers, it seems like, are leaning more toward the smaller caps and you haven't tried estetica, yet you have a little bit of bigger measurements. I think you should try estetica. I think you might be very pleasantly surprised how this will fit some with just a little bit of a larger head measurement, and it's just that. I find them to be very, very comfortable and uh. One of the things i really like about the estetica fibers. Is they have a good blend between wispy light wispy, airy fibers, which can look really realistic and the coarser heartier fibers, which maybe it don't always look quite as realistic but they're, so sturdy and and that helps those wigs to last a long time? I find estetica kind of falls in between both of those, so you get a really realistic look and you also get a really kind of substantial fiber that i think stands the test of time. Now, anytime, you wear a wig this long. That is constantly rubbing up on your clothes that is getting tangled. You will never avoid tangles and long wigs, some just tangle worse than others. That does shorten the life a little bit. So i just recently did a video on how to afford the wig life, because i know it can be really expensive and one of my tips was the shorter, the wig the longer it will. Last now a wig like this, i think, has so much updo potential that if you wear in some clips and some updo some of the time, you can really extend the life of it. But really, i would say, carry a wide tooth comb with you during the day and because of these layers, you're really not going to have as much tangling in this one as you might. If it were all one length. So that's a real bonus and you know look at how flattering it looks with those layers. You can tuck all those layers in the back and then she just frames the face so beautifully and really doesn't look all that long when you do that. So let's talk about the kind of the density and i talked about the fibers a little bit and the permatease and then let me talk about the cap features, so this wig, i would say, has a moderate density of amount, a moderate amount of hair. So it doesn't have light density, it's not a super kind of light feeling wig, but it's also not a super heavy density, and i really think part of the reason for that is the layers. Once again, i think the layers really makes this piece wearable. Even for people who sometimes get overwhelmed with hair, that said she does have quite a bit of permatease in her, and that gives her a lot of volume all up in here. It'S not super heavy pill. So it's a little bit pillowy like right in here and right. So all around the crown here you've got some poofy pillowy permatease. It is not super heavy. I have had wigs that had much more permatease than this, so she definitely isn't overwhelming. But it's enough that this does feel very voluminous when you wear her when i look in the mirror, i do see poof here, because that is just what the permatease on this one does. I want you to always remember when you watch these reviews. You cannot see poof very well in a review. It'S just not. It doesn't translate across in video all that. Well, so when i'm talking about poof and i'm trying to describe it, one of the reasons why i try really hard to describe it well is because i don't think you're going to see it as much as you think, you're seeing it so sometimes i'll hear from People, oh, that wig didn't look poofy at all yeah because you can't see it as well on video, so you're, just gon na have to take our word for it when we try to describe it, there's also quite a bit of permatease right back here i would Say the part of this wig that has the puffiest pillowiest permatease is actually back here right there. I mean it this one right, it's very poofy right here. It is kind of what gives the makes the layers work and makes them not look so straggly. Sometimes, when you get long layers like this in a really long piece, the bottom part of the hair can feel really too sparse for the rest of it and look funny. But that's not the case on this one. I think they did a really really good job. Honestly, i really do, but if you get overwhelmed by hair, if you do not like permatease you're, probably not going to like this one, a whole lot, let's talk about the cap, i will show you the fit and i will show you all the features. But let me just take this off while before i do all of that, so i can show you the inside of the cap. So one of the things i really love about estetica is their use of an extended lace front in place of monofilament, and let me tell you why that is number one. It keeps the price point down. The price point on mckenzie is actually really quite good. It'S in the low 200s retail, but estetica wigs often have a 30 discount on them, like very often, weekly you'll find someone who's offering a 30 discount on estetica wigs. That brings the price of this piece down to somewhere around 150 160 dollars. It'S a great price point for a wig of this quality, and so what makes that happen somewhat this type of thing, so they do a very, very thick just about a two inch lace front. What that does is it gives you the really beauty of a lace front and all the flexibility that goes along with it, and it also gives the appearance of a monofilament. So you can part this one anywhere you want and it will look realistic. The difference is, if you get a wig with a mono part, that part will sometimes go back further and really it's kind of hit or miss how important that is. I mean if, as long as you can see a part like back to about here, i think you're good, and i really do think that looks just as realistic as a longer part line, and that is what you get with this, which i just love. They have multiple wigs where they utilize this technique. They have this on ocean; they also have it on. Orchid are two that are coming to mind right now, and it keeps the price point of those down, while keeping them very, very realistic. Estetica also, does this very frequently, i actually don't think i've ever seen a wig of theirs that they didn't have the open, ear tabs, so their ear tabs are not velvet lined they're, not closed, they do have the metal stays in them, though, so that you can Give yourself a snugger fit right here on the temple. When you push that in the good news about these, depending on how estetica wigs fit you, this actually may allow you to wear glasses more comfortably, because you've got the holes there. You can actually poke the glass arm right through the ear tab. If you need to, they also have an open, extended, nape and that's pretty common, and then they have the hook adjusters. I sometimes struggle with these hook adjusters. I don't always find that they stay. For me, so i really recommend if these run a little big on you and you find you have to adjust these in. You might want to once you find your fit, take a needle and thread and just stitch that hook right in place. I actually have had it happen that these have come down undone before and started poking out the bottom of the wig. It is a hazard with these, so i want to give you that warning um. If you, if you can sew a button on seriously, you can do uh sew a stitch on this, really really not that difficult. It really just takes one little stitch and then you've got it securely in place. Let me show you this lace front and let me talk about and show you the fit like i said, estetica wigs run a little big on me, and so that means i get fairly good coverage. The ear tabs come way down on me and almost so far down that they almost cover my ears a little bit. So look in the description of this video, so you can see my measurements and compare them to yours so that you'll know how that's going to fit you. I personally would rather have it be just a little big as long as it doesn't cover my ears, then too small, because then i have more styling flexibility in a wig like this. I can see myself wanting to do updos all the time. Really, probably all the time, because i just love longer wigs that have layers and really cute updos, and so then i'm going to need some better coverage. If i'm going to do that, the lace front on this one, let's make sure she's situated, there's the lace front in a color like this, which we'll talk about shortly here, that is great knotting. They have done such a good job. I like to lift it. So you can see where that lace is. They have done such a good job with that knotting. It is really a pleasure to see some of these wig companies step up their game for us brunettes, because sometimes when you get a darker brunette like this, you do see that knotting a little bit more prominently. They'Ve done a really good job of keeping it light and small knots if you are very, very sensitive to knotting on wigs a not a wig like this will take very little just a little bit of your face powder pressed into that right. There is going to hide those knots, no problem, they'll be so easy to disguise something i want to tell you about. Estetica lace fronts: they, i don't think they are a great match for my skin tone. Personally, i feel you can see their lace fronts on me and they're also a little long, so that when i adhere them with it stays, i can get a line of demarcation where it's pressing into my skin because of the length of it. So i almost always cut my estetica lace fronts with a pinking shears. I have a tip tuesday, where i show how to do that and i always use a pinking shears number one jon renau recommends it with these kinds of lace fronts to prevent fraying number two. I think it gives a much more realistic look when you get that wavy line, you don't run any risk of a line of demarcation, especially if you adhere your wigs. The flip side is pinking. Shears are very, very thick and unwieldy, and it can be really really tricky to cut the lace. So just take your time, i do it with almost all my aesthetic, wigs and i've never had an issue. So just want to tell you about that, and then i just want you to see briefly what i mean by that part. So you can see sort of this one's a little densely knotted and probably could use some plucking. But you can see that this lace front goes way back to like i'm going to feel where it ends right. There look at how deep that is, and because of that i can part its center part. I can part it right or left hand part. So if you struggle because you're not a right, a left part or going to the right, which so many monofilament part wigs are you can choose to part this somewhere else and it will be no problem at all so great great stuff. I really think this is a cute wig if you are into long wigs like this with layers, i really think mckenzie should be on your list. I do. I think it should be kind of a standard, long layered wig, that everybody sort of considers it's that it's really that cute. As long as you can do some permatease as far as bangs go, you can totally cut bangs in this one, no problem whatsoever. The bangs are gon na lay fine. What will happen, though, and i'll just warn you guys about this, and this is part of the um - the challenge we face with some inconsistencies with wigs. She does have a little bit of lift here and and which makes it so great because she stays off my face, but that lift also means you might struggle to get her to lay flat enough with bangs, especially if you get one. That'S got a very prominent lift that can be easily fixed with a little heat a little steam. So don't shy away from that, but just keep in mind that that could be a variability and a difference that you'll find in your piece versus the one. I'M showing you here all right, guys, i'm trying to talk fast, because i try to cover so much. I just always put myself in you guys, shoes and i'm like okay. If i were watching this, what would i want to know if i were seriously considering spending my hard-earned money on this wig and then that's what i cover. So let's talk about the color, the color. I have never seen this color before. I was really excited to get this one, because i've seen a lot of estetica colors. I'Ve owned a lot of estetica wigs in the past, and i exclusively wore brunettes like this. For a very long time - and so i was really surprised that there was still a brunette auburn brunette out there - that i had not seen so the color r627h like i usually do i'm going to get up here and i'm going to let you stare at it. While i talk about it, so the description that you get is chestnut brown with auburn highlights. If i stand still long enough for my camera to focus, you will see those auburn highlights they're. So well done, it's not heavy. It'S not super red. I do find sometimes in these videos, depending on your monitor, depending on my camera. Every day is a little different with this camera. I don't understand why, but some days it looks different in the lighting. Even though i try to set everything up the same, sometimes auburn wigs will pull really red on camera. I want to tell you guys - and i'm gon na maybe have to take this off, so i can speak to it. While i'm saying it, if this is pulling super overall red, i want to caution you that that's a camera or a monitor issue, not a wig issue. The auburn in this first of all is a 27 and a 27 is like a strawberry blonde. It'S a light. Auburn, that's the highlight in this: it's not a super bright red and then the six. The brunette is a chestnut brown and that's just a very soft medium brown. This wig, while it does have some subtle red tones, especially if you consider the strawberry blonde. More of a red, it is almost looking like a caramel to me - is not pulling super red. So if you're seeing this and think wow that looks like a really red auburn, it's a monitor or a camera issue. It'S not an issue with this. This is very much a gently highlighted brunette and the highlight that they used is kind of a strawberry caramelly auburn and the h at the end of an estetica color code means highlighted. That means there are visible highlights in the wig and industry standard is about twenty percent on a wig that has like a a called out highlight, so you can figure that this is about eighty percent of six. That'S the base color and that's a medium chestnut brown and then it's about a twenty percent throughout scattered throughout highlight of a twenty seven and as always, i will point you to my website and my color index and my brand color list that i have on there. That will help you with color challenges, the more you educate yourself on colors and get to know the codes the easier this is going to become because color can be challenging for sure all right. You guys i am going to get outside so that we can see this color outside and then i'm going to get in my bathroom so that you can just see a quick couple, little styles just to get your wheels. Turning as to what is possible um, i also have an out of the box. This is pretty much out of the box. I'M gon na watch that back and i may not even tack it on since this video is gon na be super long as it is because i didn't really do anything to this one and i actually filmed a really quick um video for instagram the day. I got this and i hadn't done anything and i might have put it out as a short on here on youtube, which i just recently started doing, and i can't remember if i'd started that yet when i did this out of the box, so really the out Of the box is uneventful, she looked great out of the box just pretty much like this just needed a quick little comb through. I probably hung her upside down for a little while, just because you know when wigs get compacted in the box, you need to sort of spring them free from the cap, but really no major intervention was needed at all, really great, all right guys, let's get outside. I'M giving this one a couple of thumbs up if you enjoy this video, please, like subscribe comment, share, do all the things that help others find my videos so that i can help as many people as possible and if you love what i do and you want To support me, please go read in the description. Some ways that you can support me: i'm really stepping up the money, i'm spending on testing products and doing tutorials and trying to bring more education on my channel. I make no money off of this whatsoever. We spend a lot more money for this than i would ever bring in. So if you're called to - and you have a couple of extra bucks - i do have a paypal link below and you can certainly make a donation. I promise you i'll be a good steward of anything you do, but i really love doing this and i'd love to keep doing it. So any support you can give me. I have my heart all right, everyone, this is gon na, be a quick outside. It is below zero out here and windy. It'S very miserable we've had so much cold weather this year. It'S been awful for doing these anyway. Here we go outside it's totally cloudy, so you're getting good outside light, very diffused, sunlight, no bright, sunlight, i'm just going to let you really look at this color, i'm really hoping this one will pull less red for you. Then i watched the indoor part back and it is pulling really red on my monitor and i just don't know if it's my own experience with camera settings and lighting with some of these colors, because i've had people tell me my lighting is spot on. Sometimes they'll have the same wig in the same color and tell me it's exactly what they're seeing in person, but this one's looking really red to me. So i don't know. Hopefully this will be better. I mean it's definitely got the auburn in it, but it is not an overall super red wig. Okay, it's really cold. I hope that was enough for you guys, thanks for watching all right everyone here, we are for the quick styling segment, and so i already put a headband in so that i could start us off with one really easy style and if you have a whole bunch Of different headbands, then this is a look that you can just repeat over and over and over again and have it look fresh every time i really really love these cloth covered headbands. I seriously i've got like a ton of them and what i love about them is they're, so easy to use, even if you're style challenged, and even if you have trouble with your fingers, no tying involved. Let me just grab another one: all it all it involves is just sticking it in and kind of arranging the hair. However, you want it to look, so it's just could not be easier to uh, throw a headband on and that just changes the look completely. So i'm a real fan of that, oh and something else. I should have left it in um that you can do, and i would i would obviously arrange it a little differently pull some hair out differently. So it looks really natural, but it really won't take much. But you can also with a headband in you, could take a couple of clips and you could do some clips with your hair too, and then, if you've got some hair down and some hair up and with these layers it wouldn't take much to put a big Claw clip in and have all kinds of, really pretty tendrils spilling down. That is another really really fun. Easy. Look that you can do with this one, i'm a huge fan of clock clips if you've watched very many of my videos at all, you know this and they are, i think, uh wig wearer's best friend when it comes to styling. One of the things i mentioned is that this wig has a lot of permatease in some places if you're new to wig wearing or you're not used to a lot of permatease. That could be a little overwhelming for you. So what i recommend, actually i grab a smaller clock clip here than i originally intended to grab. So what i've shown in previous videos is, you can take these teeny teeny little clock clips and you can clip so. Let'S say we take the top layer up and then i take a underside layered and i clip it down. That may be a little bit too small. But then, when i drop that top layer over you've got poofy, you've got flatter and you can really make a dramatic difference in a wig. That'S super poofy! So that's just that's not really a tip for styling this one. But that's just something to keep in mind. I really like that. The lace front um goes like from here to here. It gives you a little bit more space lately. I feel, like i've, been reviewing wigs that have like really tiny lace fronts, but that gives you the opportunity to do some up and off the face. Styling and you don't have to go um so narrow that you can't um. You know you can barely get any hair up there, but this is a great easy style again for someone who doesn't have a lot of styling experience or you're just looking for something a little different, you can do that on both sides. You can do it on one side, you can do it in the center. I'M not going to bother to find the matching, i'm just going to grab another one, and you can just work on kind of. How do you want that? To look? You don't need to use clips. You can use bobby pins when you do something like that again, it just completely changes the look and gives you some more flexibility, something that i anticipate i'll do a lot with this one are updos with claw clips these layers. Are this is where i struggle? I don't have great shoulder mobility hand, mobility. So it's one of those things where i'm not going to be able to do this very well, but a couple of different things you can do. You can put it in a ponytail and then you'll be pulling the back down. I do have a a tip tuesday, where i show you how to do some styling like that or if you don't want to do a ponytail. This is literally one of my favorite things to do with the wig. Is you could do like a just a little twist twist, the hair around a little bit in the back, stick a clip through it and then let the hair fall down kind of around it and then obviously it doesn't look super realistic right now, because then the Next steps will be pull some of the bottom out. You know get that in place, pull some hair out mate. What i like to do is i like to post them on then i like to tuck some too. So i've got some hair down kind of back here and up here and then, if i have pieces that are just too long and it doesn't look all that realistic. I'M sure she has short enough pieces that if you really worked at it, you could get that you take a razor comb which i've shown in a ton of different videos, and you just trim up just a little bit of those tendrils. So they're just a little bit shorter and you can do that at the nape here in the back too and give it what's called baby hairs, just little wispy bits of hair, and then that way you can't see where the cap kind of meets the your head And then you have got such an easy casual look. This is something that i think would be so great to increase. The longevity of this piece is, if you can wear her down and wear her up, you'll get a lot more wear out of her, and you won't have to worry about constant friction on these fibers, not to mention how much cooler this will be. So in the summer, if you're you know hot and wearing wigs, just exacerbates that i often will find if i can wear a wig and an updo. That'S almost even cooler than my chin length bobs, because now the majority of the hair is up and i have my whole neck, all around free and that keeps me a lot cooler. So hopefully that gave you some ideas. I mean there's just so many things you could do the more creative you get. The more fun you'll have. So just keep this in mind and start accumulating yourself, some headbands and some clips, and then you can just have fun whenever you want. Thank you so much for watching you guys have a great day, and i will talk to you soon. You

L S: Thanks for the great review. And for braving the below zero temps for the outside look, too. You always do whatever it takes to get us the most info possible. Such a BIG help in purchasing for me. Thanks, NBW for collaboration with Denise, and other reviewers, imo, it's a win for everyone.

sdraper2011: Wow, that is so pretty and looks gorgeous on you! I am a member of the Big Head tribe and I haven't tried Estetica wigs yet but now I will.

Patty Carosi: So beautiful on you Denise! Great review as always! Estetica really does have some pretty wigs I just find they are harder for me to fix my tiny head. I am still looking for that wig grip that works for me.

Becky S.: Gorgeous, gorgeous color! The layers on this one is so well done and looks lovely from all sides. And I LOVE NBW... Such a great company. Just checked their site and wouldn't you know... Out of stock on that beautiful color.

S&S: Denise this looks absolutely gorgeous on you!! It makes you look younger! What woman wouldn’t love that?! Thanks for all you do and I am going to check out NBW. I’m a Christian also and want to support faith-based companies and organizations all I can! God bless you & stay safe& warm! ❤️

Maria Barradas: Mackenzie is really pretty, so natural, very long for me but really nice, I just got my Girl Mono, thanks for the reviews, I got the Light Bernstein and I love her, so comfortable, I do have to put her with a clip at the back but I already ordered a Turn, same style but shorter like you said, sadly there is no LB in the Turn style but I am sure I will love her too, thanks and keep showing us all those beauties indoors and outodoors, it's priceless, most wigs are expensive and to be sure of the color is a Huge plus for me and for many more people I am sure, thanks.

Shelly F: Hi Denise. Your McKenzie is totally better than mine. The one I have is very straight with very little wave, and does not have the beautiful thick bounciness of yours. It is a real disappointment because the catalog pictures do look more like the one you purchased. So happy you got a good one! I have tried adding sea salt spray to mine to see if I can give it some kind of texture and volume, but that did not work. I am totally open to suggestions. I rarely reach for her because she is just too flat and straight. And, unfortunately, she is the most money I have spent on a wig to date. Blessings and hugs, Shelly
