HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!!!! Wednesdays are most people's nightmares... they're slow, usually unproductive, and never take you to Friday haha! I love Wednesdays though because they're the day I get post my hair tutorials!!!! Today I've got THE most beautiful side braid for you -- it's gonna be PERFECT for those weddings this spring and summer. Updos and formal hairstyles in general are a little bit tricky to teach. There are so many random steps and usually a lot of random pinning involved. I wanted to create a hairstyle that was easily duplicatable, one with clear steps that you guys could figure out on the fly and make it look good without a lot of practice. I'm hoping this becomes one of your favorites because it's totally one of mine!

You can find easy access to all the hairstyles I've ever done here http://www.twistmepretty.com/hairstyle...

Hey everybody a view here from twist me pretty welcome back to my channel today. I'Ve got a really pretty formal hairstyle. I know that prom is kind of already passed, but wedding season is right. Around the corner and updos are a little bit tricky for me to teach, because it's so random, but this hairstyle there are some very clear steps. So hopefully you guys can recreate it. Super easy, don't forget to subscribe, click that little red button down there and let's jump into it first things. First, I'm going to stack two extensions on top of each other for added thickness, and then I do have one in on the side that you'll see a little bit later. If you don't wear extensions, just ignore this part and then you're gon na first gather a small section of hair near the crown and divide it into three sections. We'Re just gon na. Do a regular French braid here. So the left strand will go over the middle section and then the right strand will go over the middle section and that's your first stitch. So we're gon na add in a new section of hair to the left piece braid it over the middle and then add a new section of hair to the right piece and braid it over the middle and then you're. Just gon na repeat this French braid, five or so stitches down, and when you reach your ears, you're gon na stop, adding in new pieces of hair to the sections and just braid it all the way down. We'Re gon na tie the braid off with a clear elastic and then move on over to the right side, where we're gon na do another. Regular French braid so split the hair into three sections and the outer strands are going to go over the middle section and then you're, just gon na bring it down past the ear and start sweeping it over to the other. Braid make sure to get all the hair off the nape of the neck and then turn it into a regular three strand braid and before securing it with a clear elastic. We'Re just gon na spread the braid so that it's a little bit more loose and make sure the part line and extensions are hidden and on to the other side, I'm starting a few inches back so that I have some pretty curls to show off in the Front and we're just gon na do another basic French braid keep a few inches of hair from the front out of the braid. Those are for the loose curls in the front and then just make sure to angle the braid back towards the middle braid. When you reach your ears, you can do a regular three-strand braid with the ends and then loosen them up a bit to make them look a little bit more soft and relaxed, and now we're gon na take the center braid and combine these two together. So first remove the clear elastic from that Center braid and then split the two braids into three equal sections and then just braid them together with a regular three-strand braid. It'S pretty easy and then you're gon na stretch the braid by holding the end taut with one hand and pinching the outside edges of the braid with the other and now we're gon na tie it off and I'm actually bringing one section from each side of the Ponytail to the back and tying it off there so that you can't see the clear elastic from the front as well from here we're just gon na loosen up the braids a bit and pin any pieces in place that need it. I'M getting the baby hairs at the nape of my neck and then adding a pin or two to the center braid just to keep it from loosening up. I used a thirty two millimeter wand for the curls and then, if you need it, texture spray will always amp up the volume and texture of any style. So what do you guys think? What do you wear it and that's it thanks. So much for watching guys make sure to give this video a thumbs up if you liked it and tag me on Instagram, if you, where I love to see you guys recreating these Styles, so I'm twist me pretty over there and hopefully we'll see you in the Next one bye, everybody, you

Hannah Grace: Ah this is so pretty and creative! Awesome job as always Abby!

Jeana Marie: I love to wear my hair to the side a lot, and have been looking for an easy side braid type hairstyle. But I have had a hard time finding something that would work for my thin layered hair. This is perfect and definitely the easiest I have found. What a great style for spring and summer too.

peggs321: So pretty! Will definitely wear it this Spring/Summer. Any ideas on graduation hairstyles though??? I graduate from grad school in exactly 2 weeks and am looking for hair inspo to wear underneath the cap!

Katie M: Love it! You make braiding look so easy!!!

Samantha Banuelos: Can you do hairstyles to wear under a cap for University graduations? That would be so helpful!

Seher Campwala: You're my all time favourite Abby. I absolutely adore your Instagram Stories and Vlogs! X

Joy McMullan: So pretty! I would love to see you mirror set up for when you braid. I struggle so much with getting my parts covered bc I can’t see the back of my head while braiding.

Sierra Painter: sooo pretty Abby!!

Luna S.: You look soooo pretty!!! I love it, and I really wish I had your hairs volume holy crap

Julie Johnson: I love this!

Jenelle Lubig: Oooh so pretty!!

Trish Pipkins: I feel like I'm the only person who cannot wear side hairstyles. I don't know if it's my OCD or what. I love the look of them but I always destroy this when I try wearing it. I have literally done a side style and gotten to work and an hour in I can't stand it any more and I pull it all out.

Andrea H: And graduation season!! :))

Kimberly Witham:
