Old Hollywood Bridal Hair Tutorial With Senada!

We were texting earlier and we were like what should we do and what are you famous for hollywood, big hollywood glam? So we figured we would do a bridal video, so she's going to show you her secrets. So sonata did my hair for my baby shower and then also for the el macchia shoot yeah, but she didn't do the old hollywood. So no, i didn't because that look. I don't know how we decided. I was like yeah, i think, like that, was perfect right now, totally beautiful yeah. So now we have to decide what side you're going for the left or the right. Whatever you think. So i feel for the brides i got ta. Do it perfect for them one day right right right, the most important day, yeah you just crimp, just like a two trench. You don't really see it much, but it's just it's there. I don't even own a crimper. I used to when i was younger. Remember people used to really crimp their hair yeah that that other crimper yeah, but it was like a little thicker yeah like the big they made it like this, so it gives that hole to the hair. Like i know, he's a baby, i know he probably wants you. I know he. I'M gon na tell her to come, bring him up to say hi. So when you go and do hair um for your brides, how much time does it usually take you from? Like start to finish, yeah two good two hours yeah, i can never do less than two weeks. For some reason. I always stand myself. I can never do it under two hours. I'M like i really want to do it faster and i can you're a perfectionist yeah. Yeah things like right like every little thing like i make them stand up, then i'm just like turn around. I'M like torn, i kind of want to like cut layers and like angles into it. Then i'm like oh, but it's all like it's like a little bit dance. Yeah yeah. I definitely need like the ends cut, but i'm like it's just like so heavy like i used to have a lot of like choppy layers, so it was like voluminous and but then i'm like, i feel like i'm going to miss my hair being all in length. Like it took so long to get to this point, i think you just just cut your diamonds yeah and some angles. Benjamin'S checking you out at least he's not working he's getting comfortable here yeah, so it doesn't really make like a real crimp. It'S not just texture. I see so you do it like pretty quickly, so it doesn't like leave anything we're gon na section and we're gon na tease a little bit on the root just just a bit it again now that she needs it. I just wanted to show them how to you know how to use it, even though i'll tease it, i would just pin it just in case the bride. Some friends will stand, yeah just secure it. You don't want it then falling out on the dance floor. Exactly imagine that never happened, but no no, never know. At least you know if it did happen, they were having a good time. Okay, so i would just i would just take like a section and i will shine it first. It will shine, it will freeze out. Then i will spray, it will got to be glued. This is my favorite, the signature hairspray. Yes, the secret. Oh my god, this hairspray saved my life. I got it because you used it. I love it, but only thing like it really works when you spray it and you blow dry it after to kind of glue it together. Oh okay, yeah interesting, so we're gon na just curl it i'm gon na hold it for like cook at least 30 seconds, and you cannot let go right away just going to hold it. I'M going to hold it. Don'T let go cannot let go of the curl when it's very hot, because then you lose the curls, so you don't pin them. I don't bring them now. I do it as i go. Okay, okay, so shine spray. Just take a look, those out because the extensions were i blow-dried them, but i couldn't blow down them as good yeah. Sorry, i should have done that. No sounding better! Do you have a brand of extensions that are your favorite um? I use bellamy. Oh yeah me too, pretty good yeah. I was actually um when bellamy first launched we're talking like eight nine years ago. Um they reached out to me. I was gon na be like part owner of the company. I know i didn't love the extension so like i was kind of the one i don't even know. If i should be telling this we'll see but um i was the one like they would send me hair, and i would tell them yes or no about certain things and i told them that i wasn't comfortable like being a part of it. But i would help promote it so, like i was their first influencer so this i know they're like the number one hair extension brand in the world, so so we're gon na keep the um the curl like at least for 30 seconds. Don'T let go. I was telling sonata guys that i think she's the first person that's coming in that's doing something to me. Usually i have people come in and i do their hair their makeup. So it's so cool yeah. I know i'm already like thinking, take a baby and go for a nice walk, yeah all right around the block. What is going on? Why is she all done? Yeah grab this now you're gon na hold the hair right here and you're gon na slowly comb. It. You can come back. I actually met um this makeup artist. Oh no! So when i was in florida for my friend's wedding, her hair stylist had taken one of your classes. Oh yeah, yeah. That'S amazing! I know what's her name, i wish i could remember. I don't know, but she flew, i think, all the way out to new york to come into one of your classes. Oh that's so nice. I have a lot of people coming from everywhere and when they come, i feel like so shy about it, because i don't think of myself, like you know, oh yeah, i thought you really did this for me, like i feel so like yeah, that's nice of them. Yeah listen, got ta, learn from the best make sure you leave these two pieces out and i'm going to curl the hair away from the face. I'M not going to curl down anymore. I'M going to curl it away from the face front is different curl than the back comb. Everything then you're going to just it's. So pretty. Yes, it's getting there so now, will you keep putting extensions in or is it just for the bottom? Just put one more one more just so it holds gotcha. Well, even if i go to the mall it's funny, because i always look online like when i'm doing my hair, like, for instance, for my friend's wedding, i was doing my own hair and i was looking up like old hollywood hair and i i know how to Do it, but it's just i was always inside yeah, but i was like i don't know just looking for a tutorial pretty much like what you're doing right now and though i found one that was like decent, but she was doing it on a mannequin. That'S different telling you it's so much different working on mannequins yeah than people yeah mannequin's hair is so easy really and people's hair is so much harder. Is it because, like the texture, yeah texture is like easy to work on mannequins? Okay, that's why i love when i have like when i teach someone i like them to have a you know personal person yeah, so they can and also like, especially in the front. Everyone has different face structures. So, with the front you have to match people's faces. So they look like you know. Some people have like oval face. You cannot go so high. Some people have more round. You can just work different ways with the hollywood. It doesn't work for everybody. What looks best for them. You know yeah, so i always connect them. I didn't connect them yet, but i have another project that i volumizing powder. Yes, texture powder, okay after you use that it's just like the hair doesn't mold yeah, so cool. I'M excited to see that i never heard of that. It has a lot of shine and it doesn't. It doesn't look frizzy and always like, like never spray too close, always from far, and you can never go like like this, you know: do you recommend people like blow drying it and washing and blow drying the night before, or do you like doing it kind of On like two day old hair, no, they have to wash it a day before the night before hair, at least it's a little bit dirty. That is clean, because when it's super clean, it's so much more work and the hair slides pretty much. It'S like it's more work and then, when you tease the hair just like it doesn't look like so clean gotcha, so like never the morning of always like the day before you have them, and then you have them blow out their own hair too. We train their eyes. They know everything yeah you have to. They have to wash the day before. Even the extensions have to be washed, they um. So this way you take all this um silk out of the extensions, because you know when they know yep they're too silky yeah. It looks very good, i'm sure it's like i've been on youtube. I just celebrated 10 years yeah, which is insane i've done. Every video like three to four times over at this point. You know i mean i just done so much and it's been so long. So i'm like what can i do? That'S like a little different that'll be fun, so i figured this was like perfect. I know we had talked about it um when we had seen each other last. Oh my god. Yes, i remember you like way before, like when instagram started and my daughter pianos are young. I remember you doing the hair too, with makeup together. Looks amazing, amazing, amazing, and you have so much shine in your hair. Yeah type of you know she has shiny hair. On top of that, it's the kendra shine spray. I just wanted to show them. I do have natural shine, yeah wow super shiny. This is the most important part. Look at these, so you do like a straight back part. Yes yeah. You know the eyebrow. This is like the most important piece right here. I'M gon na spray, this i'm gon na be gon na curl. This away from the face. Do so depends on that how high you want to go like for your hair? I think this is a good height. I think right, mm-hmm, sure, okay, so give that more volume you can always go higher. If you want depends, oh my god. The best my hairs are lost, she looks so good, it's beautiful wow, the hardest part is done. Now we go to the other side. So now we can have an option.
