Hey guys welcome back to my channel today we are going to do a hair tutorial on a Dutch braid twist hopup hairstyle. This is perfect for Bridal, prom, grad or really any special event or everyday. If you're wanting to be extra, why not? But I wanted to make this video, if you're wanting to do your own hair or a friend's hair or your daughter's hair or if you're, another hairstylist like me, who just likes to find new hairstyles to add to their tool kit. So, in any case, let's get into it. I hope you enjoy. Okay, guys meet my beautiful model, we're gon na start by sectioning, her hair into three sections. So then, starting in the back we're gon na work in smaller sections, all the way up, using one to one and a half inch segments of hair with our flat iron we're going to create those beautiful beachy boho waves by rotating the hair over this flat iron. Once and then pulling down straight ends are key for this. Look after I curl each little section I'll go in with a flexible hairspray, and this just adds longevity to your style without adding any crunch or taking away any movement. It'S also very important to curl away from the face. So, as you can see, I'm doing this in the back section of their hair as well, I'm using the center of the head, as my line for where I switch directions. So I'm still curling away from the face on both sides. So now we're going to start styling or half up, and the first step is to gather the hair at the crown of the head. I like to do this in three sections: the center and the two sides, and I kind of twist and pull as I do this and then once I pin I'll pull some more to get that super textured look and once everything is in place and you're happy With it just be sure to cross pin, so it lasts all day long. So now we're going to start our braid. So what we're gon na do is we're going to grab a section of hair kind of on a diagonal and leave any framing pieces that we want out we're gon na separate these into three sections, and this is a Dutch braid, so we'll be crossing the hair Underneath, but this is also a Dutch French braid, so we're going to add hair to every section that we cross underneath from the top and the bottom, so I'm adding hair crossing it underneath and then from the bottom, I'm adding hair and crossing it underneath. So we'll continue to do this for about two to three crosses in the braid, but eventually we'll run out of hair from the top section, since we've pinned it back already. So when that happens, just continue adding hair from the bottom and then just do a regular braid, not adding hair from the top. So you can see I'm still adding hair from the bottom section and I'm not adding any hair from the top as I cross it. Underneath and then at this point where we reached the end of the head is when I actually stop adding hair - and I just do a regular Dutch braid for the rest of the way, I'll, also kind of stop Midway to start pulling the braid gently to pancake. It out to make the braid a little bigger and more dramatic, and then just do this all the way to the bottom and then clip it so that I can do the same to the other side. So once we've completed both braids we're going to pin them in place, starting with the first braid just cross, pinning it in so it doesn't budge and then taking the other braid placing it on top and then hiding the pin underneath the first braid. Then you can just kind of play around and pull apart the braid to your liking and cover any pins that might be showing so for the next part of this hairstyle. We are doing a twist. So all we're doing here is grabbing a small section of hair separating it into two pieces and we're just going to twist them on top of each other and with each twist we're going to add a little bit of hair and just like we did with our Braid we're going to pancake out the twist just to give it that added texture and make it look more full then you're, just going to pin that section in and move on to the other side make sure to cross pin, so it stays in place. Then you'll just wrap that twist over the other and cross, pin it in and boom. You have a beautiful hairstyle and if you want to make this look even more special, I always recommend a hair vine, especially for my brides. It just adds another element to this. Look: okay, guys!
