How To: Voluminous Half Updo | Kenra Platinum

Hey guys, it's Cassie with Kenna professional and I'm really excited to show you this voluminous half-up style with customized volume placement. So when we're doing in a half up style, traditionally we would just take a section in the crown, pin it into place and just add volume. As we want, but I think it's a really great idea to be more specific about it, so that you can really customize the amount of volume for your client. I'Ve prepped Lucy's hair, using our voluminous touch collection, which has provided her with all this beautiful weightless shiny, healthy volume. So now we're gon na take a large section in the crown smooth it out and if you want to add some bap combing in the interior, you totally can the best way to determine what type of volume works best for your client is to place. Your subsection, where you want it and then just kind of take a look in the mirror and pinch and pull where you need to add that volume often times it might be horizontally, it might be vertically. It might be a combination of both. So you really just want to take a look at their face shape and make sure that the volume complements that once you get the amount of volume placed correctly in the way you want it. I like using a little bit of our finishing spray 26 to lock in the shape and then just some standard bobby pins to lock in the half-up style. Now, to finish the style, I'm just going to take some additional pieces from the front of the hair again, taking a look at what complements my clients face, shape and pinning them back into the half of look. So you guys can see how really quick and easy this half up style was a perfect look for just a simple going out, chic and results.
