How To Do A Half Up And Half Down Hairstyle: Big Wavy Curls

She looked really beautiful, she's going to look so good for her baby chef, hi, I'm Tammy and today I'm going to be doing a half up, half down hairstyle, I'm working on location. I'M going to be doing my best friends here for her baby shower, so I'm so excited that I'm able to do that for her and we're going to make it somewhat, not too poufy, not too crazy. She wants something real elegant and sweet, so it's gon na look really good. Okay. This is my friends Demi and we're going to be doing her hair today for her baby shower. So she didn't want anything, really fancy. She just wanted it to be sort of a half up where her front says we're going to twist that back up in the front and down we're going to do big, like kind of messy loose curls. Nothing too fancy we're going to try to try to just make it look really nice without going crazy. So why would you if I may use the one-inch curling iron by hat tools, because she has a little bit of a wave in there? There'S a little bit of a curl so make sure you're going to kind of straighten it out first and then I'm going to go through a real fast like big chunky, curl. You do not want to take too small of sections, because then it will come out too curly. You want to take big sections like big chunky pieces and again I'm just going to kind of slide it through real, quick and then roll it around like this, and it will come. They come out so cute. You see how that is. So I'm going to do that throughout her whole head just going to run it through the tips right there and then kind of slide it as you curl it and then roll it up so yeah see it gives it a finished, but not too too formal. So I'm really excited to be able to do my friends here for her baby shower today I got to do her hair for her wedding and now her shower right now me yep, so it's so much fun! It'S one thing I get to do for my friends. It'S really nice, as I get to do their hair. I'Ve done a lot of my friends, weddings and showers and special occasions, and it's something that's really nice to be able to do is be able to do in my profession for my friends and family. So I'd wanted to I've had to come over here. To do it, so you know we're just playing with where we want it there's no direction. The main thing is, you just want to add a little bit of a curl, a little softness, and I'm going to follow this through. I'M actually using the generic Sebastian shape shaper hairspray I like shaper hairspray, actually about the generic they sell it at Sally's. It actually says generic on it and it works just as good, so I'm going to run through it like this and see how that kind of defines the curl just spray and run through it. With your fingers like this, it makes the curl lay separated it pieces. It out and I'm just going to follow that through through her size, okay, we're going to be putting that putting just this top part and the sides up, I'm going to do a little bit at a time now. First, we're going to get her bangs out of the way she wants to leave those down and I'm going to just do some teasing underneath I'm going to do some teasing underneath because that's going to hold it, if you don't have any teasing at all, it's really Going to just slide out, especially if the hair is kind of clean, her hair is pretty clean. She just washed it this morning, so we're just going to backcomb, tease and the way you do that is you just take the comb and kind of read it back. Do not take the combing out, I'm going to spray some aerosol hairspray again and on this area you want to go to make sure you have a working spray that you can work through it again and comb through it. I'M just going to take a section up here and she's, not looking to have it real high. She doesn't want like a big pouf on back here, we're looking to keep it somewhat. Consider a bit of and what I'm going to do is I'm going to criss cross. My bobby pins so sit down a little bit honey. I'M going to stick my bobby pin in like that and then I'm going to put my bobby pin in crossing the bobby pin the other way. I'M actually going to be doing it in sections, because it'll hold better and now I'm going to crisscross this new bobby pin over the bobby pins. I already do you want to interlock your bobby pins together and I'm just going to crisscross the whole way to make sure it stays it's a little. So again I criss crossed all the bobby pins, so they stay. I like to work with a rat tail comb. It'S real skinny and I can just kind of place things where I want it and the final touches is what really makes an updo, so I'm just going to keep looking through it anytime. I see a little flyaway. I just spray a little bit on there. The aerosol is the way to go, so I'm just going to finish this up and then I'll show you the results. Hey.
