Hi guys welcome back to my channel it's Kalei, and today I actually wanted to do another holiday hairstyle, for you guys and I'm going to be showing you how to do your own do-it-yourself headband. It literally takes like under three minutes to do it's super easy and be doing a big bouffant type thing on the top of my head. My hairstyle was really inspired by the 60s, so the first thing that we need to do is obviously make the headband, and I'm going to show you guys a quick little tutorial on how I made it my headband right here. I'M really excited to share with you guys how to do this headband. So, let's get right into it, alright guys. So the first thing you're going to need are some necklaces, preferably ones that you don't want to use anymore because we are going to be taking them apart. I just got mine from Walmart you're also going to need some pliers, a glue gun and a headband go ahead and flip your necklace to the back you'll notice that there are some jump rings, attaching the gems or whatever pieces that your necklace is made up of. Just detach those with your pliers Nicko, my kashish he's always so curious. What I'm doing is trying to help me out but yeah. So I detached the chain from the gems and then I detached all the jump rings that were connecting the gems together, and I noticed about halfway through that. The metal jump rings were like really weak. So I could pretty much just take it apart with my hands, but really depends on your necklace. Take your glue gun just glue a little piece of glue onto the headband, secure your gems. On top of the glue, I decided to start a little further up like a few inches further up, because I know that my hair is going to be covering the bottom of the headband, and I just worked my way towards the center. I always like having an embellished side and a non embellish side, just how I like it, but you guys have enough gems to do it, go ahead and put it all the way across the headband, and this is what the finished headband should look like for the Hairstyle, the first thing that we're going to need to do is curl our hair and I'm going to be using a clipless, curling wand like this one. Here. This, I think, is about like one and a half inches before we curl I'm going to be using the Tresemme Platinum strength, strengthening heat, protecting spray. This will protect your hair from the heat styling and also help set the curls and I'm just going to spray it all over. My hair take like about an inch and a half two inch chunk of hair and I'm going to clip this hair away, throw it to the back and that way this hair won't mix with this hair, or this hair face it downwards and then roll the hair Over the curling iron drop the curl in my hand, and I'm just going to let the curl set in my hand for a few seconds before I let it drop and you'll notice. It'S got much more of a curl. If you do that, and it will last you a whole lot longer throughout the day, take another big section of hair like that. Do it towards my face and then you're going to let it drop in your hand, BAM I'm going to go ahead and put you guys in fast-forward, so I'm going to do the rest of this side and this side meet you back in a second. So now that the curls have cold, I do like to shake them out just a little bit to kind of separate them. So they're, not all like going together. One way run my hands through the top sections of hair, just kind of loosen everything up a bit. So it's not so like uptight, curls, you guys have a boar, bristle brush like this one or really any type of brush that has boar bristles on it. You want to use that to brush out your curls. Basically just want them to look softer and fuller. This will definitely do the job for you guys without having to use your fingers to separate it and stuff we're going to work on the bouffant, so usually with the bouffant you're going to have to tease your hair, we're going to start with this crown section. You want to make sure to separate out the hair that you're going to tease from the bangs, because we are going to be pulling the bangs back over the headband later on, like this, I'm just going to lift this section of hair up and I'm going to Use my brush here - and this is going to create a lot of volume near the roots of your hair. You can go ahead and grab your next section of hair and tease that as well. So I think that'll be good enough. Just those two teased sections going back to our boar bristle brush we're going to brush this down grab the ends loosely, I'm going to twist it in the back, give it a little push up and pin it in place, and now you can just mess with the Poop with your fingers, pull it out to make it all. Even I'm going to use my Tresemme tres two hairspray to spray this in place, so it won't move. This will just hold the style there. The whole entire day. Now we're going to be putting our headband on I'm just placing it right before the bouffant that we made but make sure its hind your ears, so hold the end of your bangs, like this, bring it over the headband and back to where we pinned this bouffant And pin that in place and we're going to do the same for this side as well, bring them back and pin it back here with the rest of the pin. So if you guys decide to try, this hairstyle out definitely send me pictures I'd love to see. I thought it was so cool how, with my last hair tutorial, I did the heatless curls that a lot of you guys did it and you sent me pictures and it was so incredibly cool to see it. So definitely do that this time. If you decide to try this out for the holidays, I think it would be really pretty also for a wedding if you wanted to be like a bridesmaid or even the bride. You know this headband could totally work for that. I hope you liked it. If you did, please give it a thumbs up. Thank you guys. So much for watching and I'll see you in my next video bye,

I have Alopecia so my hair is thinner than average since its falls out quite easily so I tend to keep my hair no longer than my collar bone to make it easier on me but I miss having longer hair.
