G'Day it's jay and welcome back to my channel. So today i'm going to be showing you how to do this textured updo on short hair. So let's get started so first things first make sure you clip the hair out of the way and starting at the bottom you're wanting to do a crimper straightening. If you're not familiar with how to do a crimper strain, i recommend go checking out that video first or leave it above on the screen. What you want to be doing is keep systematically going through the hair all the way through making sure that you really take your time with this, then what i do is, i just grab a bit of dry shampoo and i really rub it all around the hair. I am adding quite a bit of dry shampoo, just because she has quite short, hair we're having to make it look a lot more voluminous. Then what i'm doing is i'm grabbing my h2 day curling wand and i'm curling each section of the hair. Now i'm curling the hair over top of the barrel and then the curl underneath i'll curl under the barrel. As you can see here now, you want to repeat this all the way through and curl, every bit of hair, so once you've finished curling. What you want to do is grab some tame wild, rub it between your fingers and then rub it across the top section of the hair. Now what this is going to do is it's going to help reduce the frizz and just keep it all in together, giving it that smoother look now. What i'm doing is i'm just grabbing some larger sections with multiple curls in it and twisting it in the same direction. Then i give it just a little bit of a pull and then pin it in place now. The trick of this is, it doesn't have to look perfect. It gives it that really effortless look when it is curls going in different directions. Um, so yeah you're never going to get probably the exact same of this style, but always can be pretty similar. So we want to just keep that process going importantly, we want to make sure that we are going top to bottom so systematically go through and making sure that you've done all the twists for all the hair all the way down to the bottom, so because her Hair is quite short for the last step. I can't really do a twist and make all the hair stay together. So this is my little trick go ahead and give it a good tease. This is going to help hold it in place. Then what you want to do with any of those top sections that can be pinned is try giving them a pin. So here i'm just going through and giving it a little bit of a twist similar to before, obviously they're not going to be as big as sections. Then you can see here at the end, i will use a hair tie to hold the ends in place. Now. I'M going to do the same thing here, i'm going to have a hair tie and then i'm just going to flip it through itself. Now this is just going to keep away all those little frizzy bits, and especially the ones that sort of fall out. It'S keeping it all in place and the last thing you just want to move any little bits of hair that just aren't in place and pin any flyaways down, and this is the end product. So i've also included a photo when i took the hair halfway out. This is just a really simple style. You can also do and you'd just be doing the exact same process, but just starting with the top section and then doing loose curls for the rest, and then here is all the products that i've used in this video. Thanks for watching - and i hope to see you in my next one bye - you
