How To:Braided Half Up Half Down Hairstyle

Hi everyone - this is Jenny's street, with confessions of hairstyles and I'm so excited because I now have two hair channels. Yes, I said two hair channels, so please feel free to check out my second channel. That'S all about hair as well, and the link is going to be below it's just under my name Jenny's street, but today on this channel, I'm going to show you guys how to get the perfect braided half up half down hairstyle. So let's go and get started. Okay, so, basically, for this look, what we're gon na do is do a braid underneath the hair we're gon na braid it and then overlap the rest. So what's really key to this, hairstyle is when you do the underneath braid. You want to pull it straight out. Opposed to back or down because the reason for that is when you lay the hair down you're gon na kind of get a little crease in here or a kink, and we don't want that. So that's why it's really key that you just go ahead and braid. It straight out, so what I'm going to go ahead and do now is just section enough and my hair is fairly fine texture. So I'm going to take a fairly large section here, because my braids are fairly micro, but if you guys have thicker hair feel free to take a smaller section. So basically, I'm just going to take the hair in front of the ear and braid right here. So I'm just going to do a simple three strand braid. Now that I braided both sides. Now all I'm going to do is just pull the hair out a little bit to plump it up just kind of create a pancake effect by pulling each piece see how that just thickens it up. Since my hair is so fine, this technique, what works out really well just gon na repeat that on our opposite side, now that I've plumped both of our braids up, I'm just gon na go ahead and release our top section, and now I'm going to take the Braid and I'm just gon na go up and over the hair and then secure it in the back. Now I'm going to take our other braid and do the exact same thing and overlap it. Okay, now I'm gon na take our ends and just simply tuck it underneath our braid and secure it with bobby pins all right so there you, ladies, have a really nice simple, easy, half-up, half-down, braided style, that's perfect for the summertime and for more hair tutorials.
