We partnered with Walmart on this #BehindTheBraids vlog to show you some of our fun CGH family Christmas traditions. Come along with us as we decorate our Christmas tree, wrap some presents for a family in need, and decorate cookies together as a family! #WinningHolidays
Some of our favorite December traditions include a home-made advent calendar full of holiday activities for each day of the month, ribbons on the tree, and Santa and elf hats! We also feel it is important to give back, so something we do every year is finding a family and giving them Christmas presents that they desperately need. Finally, our Christmas cookie decorating was especially fantastic this year! How many of you would like to decorate cookies with us??? We decorated cookies in the shape of ornaments, trees, snowmen, reindeer... you name it! Then we delivered the cookies to a few neighbors in our neighborhood, to show them how much we appreciate them.

In today's episode we partnered with Walmart to show you guys some of our fun family traditions at Christmas, time., [, Shaun, ] Yes.. Lastly, every year we do this., We decorate cookies as a family and give them to some neighbors in our neighborhood.. Christmas decorating., It's time for the Christmas season, starting to get cold., [ Kamri ], Our Grandpa's here. [ Bailey ], Oh yeah, Papa hi, Hi, [, Bailey ]. What are you doin' here? I'M giving loves to my grandchildren. My beautiful beautiful grandchildren. ( laughter, ) ( chuckles merrily ). Is he my dad Or is he Mindy's dad? Oh, I wonder.. I wonder, comment below. [, Bailey ]. Let'S check out this face., Oh [, Shaun ]. Alright, we got Mommy up here.. She gets the really fun job of putting the ribbon on the tree.. I get the heights., He never does heights. [ Shaun ]. You would think. Since I was tall, I would do that, but guess what I'm afraid of heights. ( laughs, ) [, Bailey ]. What are you doin' over here? Putting together our advent, calendar. [ Bailey ]? What is an advent calendar [, Kamri ], An advent calendar is something where you like: take something off or open something every day of December until Christmas. [ Bailey ]. So we put little activities in these envelopes. And then every day we do that activity.. So all of our December days are filled with Christmas, activities. [ Shaun, ] Daxton. I thought you were supposed to be decorating. What are you doing? [ Daxton ] Playing football. [ Shaun ] Playing football with a pillow Yeah [ Shaun ] Who's winning Alright. [ Shaun ]. We'Ve got some helpers doing what [ Bailey ] Ribbon fluffing. [ Brooklyn ] Ribbon fluffing [ Shaun ] Ribbon fluffing.. Are they bows [ Brooklyn ], Yes., [, Bailey, ] Mine's, a bow. [ Shaun ]? They are bows: [ Brooklyn, ], Yes., [, Shaun ], Oh they're, kinda, candy cane bows, [, Brooklyn, ], Yeah, they're kinda supposed to be like wavy. [, Shaun ]. What do you have there? Pine cone. Merry Christmas, ♫ Girls and boys are waiting for toys, we're making ♫ That fill the sleigh up each year, Hey guys! So here we are yay And it is the beginning of the holiday season. Christmas, Which mean our family Advent, Calendar. Bum-Bum-Bum. So every day we pick a Christmassy thing to do and tonight we are doing -- A Sub for Santa, Which is why I have become an elf. And I have become Santa Claus. Without the beard. We ran to Walmart.'Cause. You know Walmart's got somethin' for everybody in the family. It'S one stop shopping.. So we picked up all these gifts that we're going to gather and wrap up for a family in need.. Okay. What are we wrapping? Guys? R2D2. [ Mindy ] R2D2 over here., It sings and it dances and interacts with your characters. Controlled by your smartphone or a tablet.. So it's actually like a legit droid. [ Mindy, ], Yes., Okay, Dax And Daxton picked this out for who [ Mindy ]. Who did you pick it out for A little boy in the family. [ Mindy ] A little boy in the family, So cool? I think that's a Walmart exclusive, even. So.. It is I think., That's where we got it. So. [, Mindy ]. He was super excited about that. One. Coats are always good for families in need. This one Paisley and I picked out.. It'S a Swiss Tech. They have coats for like everybody., And we picked this one out for the little girl in the family.. It'Ll be nice and warm cozy. And it's cute look at the hearts, [ Mindy ]! So cute. What did you pick out to wrap Paiz [ Paisley ] (, babbles ) [, Kamri ]? What is it Hey? This is mine. [, Mindy ], A Hatchimals. That'S so cool. I think she just picked it because she wants it. Mine, are., Yay Mom has to wrap too. [ Mindy ]. I do I -- She doesn't get to be Santa Claus and make the elves do all the work., Except I'm the elf. So I'm going to do all the work.. True I can make you do all the work'cause, I'm Santa.. I picked out some hotel style, sheets. Yay linens.. Look at that 500 count. Good for everybody in the family that sleeps in a bed. Which is pretty much everybody. [ Bailey ], Which is everybody. ( laughter, ), That's right.. These will probably be for mom. They're wrinkle, free they're, very durable., [, Bailey, ], Durable., And so every mother will love me., [, Bailey ]. Every mother will love you., I'm going to go, make my room feel like a hotel. [ Bailey ], (, Snorts, ), Okay, shoot. [, Shaun ]. This isn't fair. [ Bailey ]. What does -- ( laughs, ), [, Mindy ]? That'S not gon na fit in there.! [ Bailey ]: That's not gon na go in there. You trust me to wrap that How'bout, that for the sheets They assigned me the job of vlogging, because I am the worst wrapper.. We've already used some, but we already have so many cookies left. And we're gon na make'em all and we're gon na give'em, some neighbors and some friends.. Just in light of the holiday spirit.
