Hi Joanne Harris here I want to show you how to do a Christmas tree hair but no fillers. My original creation is fast, easy and simple. First, we'll do simple, meaning just an ornament here or there there's bells, maybe some tinsel, then we're going to decorate the bun as if it's a real Christmas tree, and please don't forget to subscribe to my channel Joanne Harris salon. Now, with these Christmas trees express yourself make them creative make them your own. Most important have fun, let's start by pinning away any front hair, and you want to style around your face that will not be included in the initial tree, but I have pins away this little piece of hair to be a spiral wave later. We will make two ponytails the first one is in the center. It is parted from behind the air over the top of the head to behind the other ear. The first ponytail was in the center. This was going to be a little bit to the left in the side. Diagonal. Please notice that the one on top and the diagonal part to the left are very close. Let'S place the two ponytails together to create the inner filling the more I laced, the wider. The tree, so if you don't want a big wide tree, just place a little bit: okay, two ponytails together brush them up, hold it into one side and I'm going to put the bristles of the brush into the hair with the bristles facing up slide it down And bend towards me holding both together now, let's move the laced hair over the hand being sure the top of the fingers show and all the hair stays in front of the fingers over my hand, smooth them be sure it doesn't go over the fingers, keep them Below the fingers bring the hair out to the side, pull down the center back and start to bring the hair around just wrap it around nice and smooth. Now we're going to twist one two three in this case four times spread it out, pin the base of the tree to the head all around the bottom edges and you can form it pull it down shape it form. It warning, never spray the hair with hairspray. Once the decorations or ornaments are placed into the hair, because hairspray can make the colors run from the decorations onto your hair be sure the hairspray is completely dry before touching the hair or placing ornaments or decorations into the hair feel free to squeeze the tree into Shape anytime, you feel it needs it warning, do not use items that are sharper, breakable, also, an item with length that could go into your eye or injure someone when they give you that big holiday hug, I suppose up a small piece of ribbon that comes with Wire in it put a bobby pin right through it, and I'm sticking it in the base of the tree or put it in the top of the tree is a great decoration for the top of the spiral hanging wave. Please notice that I've bent the hairpins upward before placing them into the tree that will lock the bell or any ornament that you decide to put in, so it doesn't fall out. Putting in a slight bit of tinsel may be all you need for the full decorated tree. The initial construction doesn't have to be as perfect as a simple tree, because the ornaments will cover and shape it. Both the Garland's and ribbon - I am using, is manufactured with tiny, thin wire in it and it can easily be shaped. The star at the top is actually a gift tag that I cut up. The bells I found in a hobby store and the garland at the drugstore such as, could creative and really have some fun. Let'S get started. If you need an ornament for the top of the tree, I suggest a sparkling gift tag and I'm going to make it smaller into like a star. So you got to find something, that's a light, but you can make into something else. If you want to put a little star on, if you can go to the store and find a star that'd be great, so I'm going to cut this out, make a little star and I'm going to cut a little snip. So I can pin a pin into the star, then pin it into the top of the tree for a finished. Look: let's decorate the tree, I'm going to put a bobby pin to the garland on one end at the very bottom, I'm going to slide that pin in you come around the bottom all the way around, but I'm not going to. Pin it there again, I'm going to pass it to the right side, put a bobby pin in the right side. I just hold your tree and push it in now. Schwabe pins can have a tendency to push something out of place. So when you put in a bobby pin, you want to be sure you hold the hair and once the pin is in you can revolt the hair back one thing and really really ruining herself, because it can be very heavy on it now good to come around The back and take my garland around all the way to the top staying in the back again watch how I pin this I'm going to put the bobby pin through the garland all the way to the end. I want to hold the tree and slip the pin in you have to hold the tree or it'll smash it down. I want to secure the garland. I don't want it moving. So I'm going to put bobby pins in hold the bun, pull the garland back push it in and then you can release it back back if bobby pins are smashing, your tree too much go ahead and use hair pins instead, just put it through the garland. It'S really easy: it will not disturb your hairstyle. This will make your hairstyle much stronger by putting in these pins I like to put along them around hold the Bell slide it in pinch, the edges, if you're having trouble big ornaments into the hair, crunchy gon na, take a bobby pin and I'm going to pin It hold the hair and pin it into the top. You'Ve got to hold the hair. Oh smash down your Christmas tree, bring it up and point it. I'M going to release the curl in front, take a small iron and do a spiral wind. So I will have a dangling spiral: weight pulling it off the iron, while the iron is still warm, we'll release the curl, make it looser the curl base into the tinsel spreading the roots out and I'm going to wind a little piece of tinsel around the first Wave just for decoration and tying it into the tree notice that I put in a golden piece of tinsel around the base just to dress it up, and here you have it. Oh yeah. I also added a candy cane

Anna Fink: This is the most interesting hairstyle I've seen in a while! Vaguely reminds me of Doctor Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"... I'm a little tempted to try it, actually! :D Also, I like how you've changed the tutorial style. The directional slides, pictures, AND video instructions all made it very easy to follow along with what you are doing.
