Make this small for an infant clippie or large for a jewelry pin or older child. Two patterns available for a small Christmas ribbon tree or large one at link above. Use ribbon that is 3/8" -- ½" wide for either size. The example in the video used the larger pattern and 3/8" ribbon.

This Hair Accessory makes up very fast. I love the herringbone effect down the center of this adorable Christmas tree. I have used patterned ribbon in the examples in the video but; plain solid color ribbon will work well too. The patterned ribbon with dots on it adds to the effect of the tree having ornaments on it.

.

Use this for a child and when they outgrow it convert it to a jewelry pin. Or create this Christmas tree for gifts to friends, neighbors and co-workers as a holiday accessory jewelry pin. They are low cost in nature and can be massed produced very easily when more than one is needed. This Hairbow can be easily made by a beginner crafter.

This Christmas Hair Accessory changes look with the embellishment tree topper chosen. It would be cute without any topper too. I have used an acrylic jewel, button and a jewelry charm for the variations shown in the video. I like the idea of using an embellishment that has some meaning to it. An old button from grandmas sweater, school pin, military pin or a piece of jewelry where one earing is missing. You can preserve memories and yet have an updated look. These items are tucked away in a drawer and are never used and admired and enjoyed like they should be. Incorporate them into the design of the tree and take an adorable picture of a loved one wearing it!

You will be building your Christmas Tree Hair Accessory on a piece of stiff felt. NOT regular felt. You can find this type of craft felt next to the regular craft. You will need the sturdiness and structure to build your ribbon tree on.

Make hair bows, now.com presents old Christmas trees, adorable hair about you can make it as little or as large as you would like. You could also use it for a Christmas jewelry. Can one we're going to be doing? Is the one with the polka dot red dots on it? It'S so cute make sure you go visit the website and receive three adorable hair bow to target Orioles. They are so cute you're going to want them after you cut your ribbons, the designated sizes look at the directions below for the downloadable patterns and sizes. For all of these, you can have four different sizes: you're going to create figure eights after you've, sealed both ends of your ribbon, so it won't fray - and I like just sneaking a teeny bit of hot glue in between while you're still pinching it. This is a low-temperature hot glue gun, which makes it very easy to do we're going to be stacking. These all the way up. You have two of each sizes and you work your way. All the way up and you'll be gluing about 50 % of the way over on each other. Creating this herringbone effect down the center again, a figure eight make sure you do it the same direction, one over one under and a teeny dot of hot glue in between to hold it together, continue to make all your figure eights make the loop over and then The next one goes under over under and then over and then just a teeny bit of hot glue in between to hold them together, make sure you do all of your different layers and then we're going to be stacking and building it together. When you get to that last one, it's really really teeny like this one, but it still works and it makes a great top. I love how it's stacked and how it looks so cute down the center and that herringbone pattern very fast, very easy to do. Okay, so now that we have our loop start with the largest and work your way up, a little bit of hot glue, just in the center is all that's needed, and now you're going to be overlapping is about 50 %. You can put the glue right on the ribbon or you can put it on the back of the ribbon. Just make sure you don't get that hot glue anywhere else, but where you're going to be placing your ribbon, because you don't want that to show on the front so again, you're overlapping about 50 %. As you stack, it all the way up the center, and this is where you get that cute look in the Center of where it goes back and forth back and forth continue working your way, all the way up. This ribbon is kind of cute because it's got red dots in it, but it's not super sturdy, so it does like kind of flight which is fine. I'M you're gon na see grosgrain ribbon in other examples to where it stands up a little bit more now you need to make a decision of what you're going to put at the top. So keep that in mind we're just gon na make a trunk. You can put this trunk on after or before either way take your ribbon and just tie a knot in it and then just lay it at the very bottom and glue it on. You can have a short trunk or a long trunk. It'S your decision either way slide it up or slide it down and just hot glue it. It goes on the back, so you won't see it. You can start with that. First and I'll show you how to do that, if you'd, rather so, it doesn't, show either way works. And then you are ready to add your embellishment. I like using e6000 for the embellishments. They seem to stay on better and it doesn't get so messy. But if you don't have any hot glue will work, but just be super careful when you put that on. This is just a little acrylic. You do all I've used if you're gon na do the trunk first. This is how you do it. You put it on. First and then you're gon na add your loops on top of that, and then you won't see that on the back, so either way works fine now to attach it to the hair. A small little felt heart hot glued on three different points. Just goes on to the back and then you'll slide an alligator clip in between, or a jewelry pin like this with some e6000 adhesive will work great as well. This would make cute Christmas ornaments too as well, and then your alligator clip goes in between you can make these really really small for a small toddler or as large as you would like. Isn'T that adorable and cute? I love that Center. How it looks - and here are some other examples - this one has a just a jeweled button at the top of it, with grosgrain ribbon with the polka dots and look at this print, and this actually has a little jewelry embellishment from the craft store. On top of that very cute, very adorable, it's going to get a lot of comments, make sure you subscribe to my youtube channel and you'll, get notice of all new tutorials. Give me a like below.
