Christmas Haircolor & Hair Tinsel?!?!

Tis the season to be jolly fa. In that case, let's dye, my hair hi guys welcome back. My name is dana and in today's video we're going to be dyeing my hair christmas colors. So, of course, we've got x-mondo super green and this custom shade that i just mixed up, which i call x-mondo winterberry, so we're gon na put these on my hair and get more in the christmas spirit, i'm not usually a christmas person, but this year i kind Of wanted to change things up, and i want to make this video for you guys, because i know the holidays can be a little bit lonely. Hopefully i can just give you a little bit of joy, so i'll show you guys in a minute how i mixed up this winter berry, but i'm just gon na go ahead and explain what i'm gon na be doing today. So i'm gon na be putting red highlights in my hair and then the rest of my head's gon na be green. So i'm gon na start with the back of my head work my way to the front, and i think i'm just gon na start with green and then along the way, put those red highlights in so i'm gon na brush out my hair gently and the other Morning i woke up and my hair was sticking up and i was like, oh my god. Today'S gon na be a bad hair day and then i looked into it a little bit more and yeah, not a bad hair day. That'S um! That'S breakage! I just wanted to adjust that my hair is not healthy. Originally, i had planned on doing like a christmas tree. I was going to do like a brown on the back of my head for, like the stump of the tree and then the green with red highlights and bleach my roots, so that my roots would be yellow like a christmas star. But after seeing that damage, i don't want to risk putting any more bleach on my hair, so i'm not gon na i'm just gon na do the green and the red. I will have to open the door for this. So i'll. Probably time lapse this because chris has got shows playing in the background and the cats never seem to be quiet, so i'm gon na speed it up, but you guys basically know what i'm doing. Oh and i forgot to mention: wow x-mondo was having that like buy three of your favorites save 15. They put new stickers in there and these ones are winter. Themed. Look at look at how awesome these look that one's wrapped like a little gift, it's so cute! I always love the stickers that come in these they're, so creative and different every time so starting with the super green, i'm just painting that on my head, but i wanted to point something out to you guys so pay attention. The super green isn't as dark as the one that i bought. Originally, i was expecting the darker green, so i wasn't really too worried about taking the blue pigment out of my hair, because i know that that super green was just gon na leave that blue pigment back in there when it faded. But it looks like their shades are inconsistent. I'M sorry don't come for me. This is just observation and i'm just gon na start slapping that winter berry right on there in order to make the winter berry color. I took equal parts of super red and super green and i mixed those together originally, i intended for this to turn out brown, but it ended up making this beautiful red color. So one of the main reasons why i named this winterberry is because, if i compare it side by side to the berry color, it's almost exactly the same. It just has a slightly bit more of a red tint to it, but i just think it's the absolute perfect color for christmas, not to mention i use christmas colors to make it and there's little gold flakes in it. So it just reminds me so much of christmas, so for the top horseshoe of my head, i decided i was going to do it all green, except for the outside of it and the middle part. It'S going to give those red highlights. I'M sorry that i'm not like talking to you guys very much, i'm just really focused today. I guess you can tell i'm getting lazy and just using my hands instead of a brush for that green part, and then i'm putting this winter berry on the frame of my face. I plan on doing something extra with these bangs later in the video. So definitely stay tuned for that we got it all done, i'm gon na let it process for 20 minutes rinse it with cold water and when i rinse it out, i'm gon na rinse out the dark red. First. I always like to rinse out my darker colors. First and leave the lighter colors saturated that way if the water from the darker color runs onto the lighter color, there's still that dye on there. So it's not actually getting into your hair follicles. So i'm going to let this process and then i'll come back and show you what it looks like ho ho holy sh. Look at this color. It is the perfect christmas combination. I do wish that the super green was darker, like i originally planned for it to be that way, it would match the winterberry a little bit more, but i think it turned out really well. So let me show you the back really quick. I know i missed the patch right here in the back, but it's okay. Even more we're gon na decorate this christmas tree with some hair tinsel, if you haven't heard of hair tinsel, definitely keep watching, because this stuff is so cheap. It comes in a variety of colors, but of course i had to pick the rainbow because i want to make my hair look like there's christmas lights in it. So the way that hair tinsel works is you have the hair tinsel itself. You have the bead and you're supposed to tie the hair tinsel to the bead, which i've already done to save a little bit of time, so you take the little crochet hook that they provided in the kit for you. You hook that bead on there just like that, and then you find a piece of hair that you're going to hook it to that and then you're supposed to just slide it off onto your hair strand and push that up to my roots. A little bit more hold it there and it says to clamp it shut, so we got the first strand in so i'm gon na. Do this around the rest of my head. All right, i got all that tinsel in there. Look how cool these look! It'S like christmas lights in my hair, see what the back looks like. I wonder what it looks like when it's up i love this. I will definitely be using more of these colors in my hair from now on, because i just think it looks so cool and it gives it a pop of color. So earlier in the video i told you that i had plans for these bangs here i originally was gon na. Do candy cane on my bangs, so have like white stripes, but i couldn't find any white temporary hairspray. Oh hello, i made my attention. I wanted attention, but i couldn't find any of the white temporary hair color like the spray-on stuff, so i had the thought of using snow spray like you used to decorate, but then i read the back of the can and it was like a bunch of don't Get on your skin, don't get in your eyes, stuff like that, don't inhale, so i figured it'd probably be best not to put that near my face. It reminds me so much of christmas, i'm very happy with it. I will be posting how i style my hair in different ways for christmas on my instagram.
