Hi guys it's nicole and welcome back to my channel. This is officially the first video on my channel of 2022 so happy new year, everyone. It is being posted a few days after january 1st, though so i hope your new year started off good, but i just can't believe that it's 2022., like that's literally insane, i feel like 2020, was just yesterday, but i'm so grateful that god has given me another Year and i'm so grateful that you guys are here with me today - i'm filming my 2022 transformation. I film these types of videos every single year, because i just love the idea of a fresh start and like new beginnings, and i feel like with this video. We can start the year with that, so we're going to be doing a few things to my appearance, a few things to my room and then also talking about my resolutions and goals for this year. I'M just so excited for this upcoming year, though, and i can't wait to take you guys along, but without further ado. I hope you guys enjoy this video and let's get into it all right, you guys first things. First, i'm getting my hair done. So this is what my hair looks like right now. You know nothing too special. It'S been like this for a bit. I think the last thing i did to it was just cut it back in, like i couldn't even tell you. It was a few months ago, though, and it's just like this line. Oh wait was it summer. I think i cut it here like beginning of summer and it's grown that much, but basically i have never colored my hair and i've actually been thinking of doing it. For a while now i just haven't gone myself to do it, but i've never done anything drastic to it. I'Ve just gotten cut and styled, and i did do the keratin treatment, which is like the brazilian blowout and you strain it and it's supposed to make it all like silky and stuff. But besides that, i have never colored it until today. Today we are going to be coloring, my hair. I have an appointment at the salon in like 15 minutes for something called a balayage and i'm not 100 sure of what that entails fully, but i'm pretty sure it's like an ombre and then highlights. I don't know, though, we'll see what happens in the salon today, but i have two inspiration: pictures that i'm gon na show my hairdresser i'll put them on the screen right now. I just found them on pinterest. One of them has the ombre effect and then the other one is more focused on the highlights. I'M just gon na show her both and see what she thinks and also, i think in the pictures. The girls have like much longer hair than me. So i don't know how it's gon na look, but we're just gon na hope for the best. I do know, though, that this is a very long process, like i think i'm gon na be spending like three or four hours in the salon today, which will be fun. You know so i made sure to put on some comfy clothes, i'm bringing like two books and i'm honestly pretty excited to just like get my hair done. So, let's head to the salon, a all right, guys, here's my hair, i don't even know if you can see it that well. This is how it looks like she curled it, and i really like it. The balayage is like an ombre and then there's highlights oh yeah. The color is ash brown, which is good because i didn't want to do like a blonde blonde, especially because it's my first time like i just wanted it to be subtle and i'm really glad of how it turned out so yeah. This is what it looks like and i can't wash my hair for two days so like i could, but she said that every time you wash it then the color is gon na fade, so it would be suggested to not wash it for two days, but i'm Super happy with it. It is time to get my nails done. So this is what my nails look like right now. I got them done first day of december, so it's been a bit and it's definitely time for me to get a new set. On my right hand, you can see my middle finger, the nail fell off, and it's just like really outgrown my left hand like, doesn't look as bad from far away. I feel like it doesn't look that bad, but then close up you can see how outgrown they are, but i have an appointment at the salon right now, so we're driving there and for my new year's nails, i'm gon na ask for something gold. I don't really know yet because i haven't seen the color selection, but i envisioned like gold and sparkles for new year's. So i'm hoping they have something like that and then i want to get stilettos or almond, so probably like a mix between the both because they're already long enough, they're like coffin. So let's muster the energy. I don't know if you are feeling me, but now i don't have time to sit and wait. We'Ve been going to the same salon for like years now i think. Ever since i was in like seventh grade you've done your nails in seventh grade yeah. I think so i think that's consistently not consistently but like i started going there in middle school and i still go because darlene is my girl, but mom also got hers done you can't see. No, you really can't oh wait. There. You go okay, so mom got like this champagney. It'S like a rose gold yeah. It'S so pretty. I think it's beautiful and then these are mine and by the way these are happy new year, nails, yeah very festive, and then i got red on my toes. Mom got white and it was just a great experience at the nail polish. It'S a great experience. Yeah we're on first name basis with like a bunch of the ladies there, because we've been going there for so long and we know a lot of the workers. So isn't everyone on first name basis? No, but like they like know, oh you're saying they know our name. That is it for nails, bye, all right. It'S much later. It'S like almost midnight, but i just got out of the shower. That'S why my hair is clipped up, but, speaking of my hair, i wanted to show you guys what it looks like in actual light, because my bathroom has much better lighting than the car, but you can see the color a lot better in here. I'Ll show you what the back looks like as well, but i really like it. I don't know if there's anyone else but like when i get my hair done. It usually takes me like a few hours to fully know if i like it. So it's been a few hours and i really like it like it's subtle, but then you can still tell there's a change which is like the whole point and like what i wanted. So that's that but anyways we are going to be doing some skincare recently. My skin has honestly not been the best, i'm not like breaking out that bad. I don't have like really bad acne, but since it's winter time and the weather has been so cold lately, my skin has been like super dry and i've been getting a bunch of red spots. So right now i'm going to use my fresh sugar face polish exfoliant with real strawberry seeds. I got this for christmas from my parents. They gave me like a four pack from fresh and i've used some already and i really like it gently massage and cleanse moist skin and leave on for five to ten minutes and then rinse with warm water. You can use this three or four times a week, so i'm gon na try to use it like every other day, but it's an exfoliant which is really good when your skin is dry, so i'm gon na wet my face and put this on. I don't know if you can see it that well, but i put it on, but i'm gon na wait like five to ten minutes and then i'm gon na wash it off. Okay, i wash off the mask and next i'm using the kiehl's ultra facial cream. This has spf 30, so it's really good to use in the day, but my usual moisturizer is the curology one and i still use that one. I still use like all the products i get from curology but, like i said since my skin has been like really dry from winter and stuff. I'Ve been trying this one from kiehl's, and i really like it. My mom also really likes kiehls. So we have a few products from them and sometimes i use crime here and there, but it's super moisturizing and again it has spf. So i also have been using this in the morning. I always do this. I don't know why and last skin product i'm going to use the fresh black tea firming overnight mask. This was also in that four pack that i got for christmas, this one i don't have to wash off. It'S meant to be like the last step in your skincare routine at night, and then you wash it off in the morning, but you can use this every single day, so i've been trying it out. I mean i like it. To be honest, i don't really know what it does, but it's more like a silicone feel. I don't know how to explain it. It'S just more like it grips onto my skin in a different way. If that makes sense, all right skin is done. We'Re looking very dewy but another product i also use in the bathroom. I just thought i would show this because this is also part of my night routine. Is the maybelline lash sensational eyelash serum i've been using this for a few weeks? Actually - and i like it, i have seen progress, which is fun, but i just do a couple layers onto my lashes every night. So if you're looking for an affordable, lash serum try this one, if it doesn't work, i heard the grande lash sam works, really good. I haven't tried that one because this one has been working for me, but i've heard that one's good all right, you guys and that is it for skincare next we're going to transform my room as you guys can see. I still have my 16 balloons up from my 16th birthday. My mom set them up. I love them so much and i try keeping them up as long as possible, but i think it's time to take them down and then i also have all of my christmas decorations, just scattered throughout my whole room, but obviously christmas is over. So we have to take those down. I pulled out a bunch of decorations from like my storage, closets and stuff, and i put them on this bench there's a lot of pink, i don't think anyone's surprised, but we're gon na replace everything in my room currently with all of those, but i think transforming Your room or like any place that you spend a lot of time in for me personally, it's my room. It'S really important to just get it ready for the new year, so that is what we're going to do. Let'S transform my room foreign all right. My room is finished. I feel like it's a lot more bare compared to my christmas decorations, because i had a lot of christmas decorations, but i kind of like it. It looks more simple and like minimalistic to me, but there's still a lot going on. There are a few spots in my room where i could definitely add stuff. Like my nightstand area that wall right there, i had a photo cork board thing that i took down a while back like a few months ago, and i was meaning to redo it and put it back up. But i just haven't, but now that i'm thinking about it, i might rearrange some stuff and do something different. I don't know i'll keep you guys updated in the vlogs, but i'm really glad with how it turned out, and this is how it looks, and that is it for my room and for the last section of this video i'm going to be talking about my resolutions And goals for this upcoming year first, i would like to say i am so excited and i feel very motivated at the moment for 2022., like i don't know why. I just have some really good vibes about this year. I think coming from 2020 and 2021 with the whole pandemic and everything this world has been such a crazy place. So i'm just hoping that 2022 is gon na be a good year, but when it comes to resolutions and goals, i always set and write down a few for myself at the beginning of the year and then i'll definitely have more throughout the year. But i think this is really important, because then you can figure out what goals you want to have and what steps you need to take to achieve those goals. For this year i wrote down five and, like i said, i'm definitely gon na have more throughout the year, but these are the five that i want to start with number one. I want to work on a relationship with god i feel like. I always have something in my goals about my faith, because i want to constantly work on my relationship with god. I'M going. To be honest, i feel like it's really easy for me to lose touch and lose sight of my relationship with god, but this year i want to be in a place where i'm like happy and content with my relationship, and also this is my second year in Confirmation, and if you don't know what that is, i'm catholic and confirmation is another step closer to god in the church. So this is my final year. So i think it's like the perfect time to work on my faith, my family and i already try and go to mass every single sunday we go in the morning at like 11 a.m, um. So obviously i want to continue that, but i also want to read my bible every day and it doesn't even have to be like studying it or like writing about it like. I just want to read a verse every single day and just pray more like in the morning or at night time, just like anytime. I need to talk to god. I want to do that. My second goal is to be more present. I am on my phone way too much like my screen. Time is not good and yes being on social media. It'S my job. I have to be on my phone, so i would say for that reason i'm on my phone in my laptop more than a regular person. However, i have developed such a bad habit of like being on my phone when i'm with people or like when someone's talking to me and i'm still on my phone like nicole. What are you doing so? What i'm saying to be more present is that, when i'm out with people, when i'm spending time with my family or my friends, to put my phone away like, of course taking pictures is good like getting the mems. You know, but like there's. No reason for me to be on my phone when i'm with people you know next goal is to continue doing things that i love as in like self-care, for example, reading i love books because i think for me it's so therapeutic and relaxing when i can go Home after a long day, literally just right there in my bed reading a book like that's so perfect to me and speaking of books, my book club shelf love is now launched. If you guys did not know i'm working with literati and i made shelf love where i hand pick a book every single month and send it to you guys and then we can read together and then we can talk and chat about the book on the literary App so i'll have a link down below if you guys want to sign up, we are currently reading. It'S a really nice time and then also i wanted to start this book. It'S called you are a bad bleep by jen sincero. My good friend emily got this for me for my birthday. Thank you emily. She said it's one of her favorite self-help books and it's how to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life. So i wanted to start the year with this book as well, because i think it'll be a good one and i feel, like self-help books, benefit a lot so i'll. Let you guys know and keep you updated on how i like this, but as you can see, i'm just so happy when i talk about books. I just want to continue doing stuff like that, where i'm taking care of myself and doing things that i love. My next goal is to stop caring about other people's opinions. I used to be really good about like not caring about hate comments and stuff, but, like lately, i've been getting sad over them. Fortunately, i don't get a lot of hate comments which i love like you guys have created such a positive community. So thank you for that, but obviously there's a few here and there - and i think i've just been feeling insecure, but this year i just want to stop caring about what those people think, because they do not matter in my life like these people are going out Of their way to hate on someone else, so obviously they're struggling with something if they feel the need to do that. So i'm gon na pray for myself to stop caring about what those people think and also pray for them to stop hating on people. For no reason, but like it's so exhausting, not liking the way that you look so why would i want to make myself tired of doing that? So i think a goal for everyone this year is to love the way you are because you are perfect and you are made the way that you should and don't let other people's opinions dictate your life, and my last goal for this year is to continue living A happy life i am so grateful and so fortunate to have the life that i have. I just don't want to take anything for granted so living a happy life comes with surrounding yourself with the right people doing things that you love. I just want to continue doing that, because life is so short like we don't even know if tomorrow's guaranteed, which is like a really scary thought, but that just reminds you to be grateful for your life and keep living it. Those are all of my resolutions and goals for the beginning of this year. I really hope that i can stick with them throughout this year. zoe_jen: Tips for resolution making! 1. This helped me tremendously while creating my resolutions-creating them with other people! Create a group chat with friends or family and keep in touch with each other as you navigate your resolutions. If you're going through a rough patch, talk it out and get advice from them! Motivation from other people is always key. 2. Attainability is important. Instead of drastic, go reasonable, while still keeping your original goal in mind. Ex. Instead of waking up at 5 a.m. every morning, decide on 6 or 6:30 for an easier to attain goal. This will increase the chances that you can keep this going for the year! 3. On top of attainability, creating steps for larger goals makes it smoother to achieve them. Create smaller steps that make it easier to get to the final product! 4. Finally, resolutions are meant to be fun and rejuvenating for your fresh new self! Don't make resolutions that you will dread, that's not the point at all! Marissa Barker: some of my resolutions for this year: to only focus on things that help me grow! this is a big one. sometimes i tend to focus on all of the things that are negative in my life. other peoples negative opinions, judgement, all the homework, basically all of the bad things in my life. and every single person grows. they have too, but the only way to grow in a positive way mentally and spiritually is focusing on the positive good things that will lead me to growing! like gods opinions and his word and my family. to be confident in who i am in christ!! we all tend to lose confidence especially if we once again focus on other peoples perception and opinions, even our own! we don’t not look at gods opinions and perspective. the only opinion that matters is gods, and that’s all we need to focus on. NOT EVEN OUR OWN OPINIONS MATTER IF ITS NOT POSITIVE to be happy in all circumstances! when we have trials come into our life it can be tough. but instead of becoming unhappy, i praise god in all of my hills and valleys. through the good times and bad. because we live a very short life in this earth. so why not be happy? trust gods plan, it will always be in your favor in the long run. and a less deep resolution: to read at least 30 books this year! i feel like i’ll go way ahead of this, but i would love to engage in more genres like fantasy and christian books. that’s why i LOVE nicole’s book videos (by the way nicole im the one that keeps commenting make a all the books i’ve read in 2021 or my fav books. you totally should) anyway, i hope these resolutions impacted anyone who is reading this. cheers to 2022!

Whenever I watch her videos I become happy immediately My 2022 resolutions: 1. Focus on school 2. Focus on my relationship with God 3. Spend more time with my family/friends 4.
