I feel like i always do this. I don't know why, but hello everybody welcome back to my channel. So in today's video i'm going to be sharing with you guys, um. I think five different hair growth tips that have helped me grow my hair, since i did my big chop, big chop in march of well at last year. I guess you could say, because it is a new year so happy new year to you guys. I hope you guys had an amazing, safe new year's day, new year's eve. Whatever you call it, i just stayed at home. I didn't really do much so yeah, but i'm just putting on my lashes ignore this bump right here. I am on my period yeah. So i'm just putting on these lashes and then we can start the video - and i really like these lashes that i got they're from the beauty supply store, um, they're, really good. I actually got some more. I did record a video of it, but it didn't turn out well, so i don't know if i'm gon na record it i mean uh redo it, but i can show you guys if you guys want to see like the different lashes that i have, because i Am starting to like wear lashes now, so if you guys want to know which ones that i got then just let me know, and i can make another video on it. I got some on top of my eyelid, but it is okay, because this one dries clear. So i'm not too worried about it, okay, guys so on the video i'm going to start off by saying the first tip that really helped me to grow. My hair was oiling my scalp now, if you guys saw my big chop video, if you guys haven't seen it i'll link it up in the cards, so you guys can go watch it. My hair was very very short. I was attempting to get finger wave, but it didn't really work out, so i had a really short haircut, afro sort of situation going on and it was very short like i couldn't even put my like fingers through it. It was so short, so i kind of have a little bit of experience with hair growth because, as you can see, i can put my hair in a bun perfectly fine. I didn't used to be able to do that so now i can so. I just wanted to say a little back story, but i used to always have like longer hair on the longer hair side, but i had cut it in march and then went from there so back to the tips. Oiling. My scalp has really helped me to like. Just keep my hair moisturized keep my scalp moisturized, because when my scalp is moisturized, i feel like it grows a little bit better. So the oils that i have been using is um. This castor oil i've been using castor oil to help my hair grow and then i've also purchased this argan oil. So i haven't been using this one. I'Ve mostly been using tea tree and castor oil, but you can use any type of oil. It really doesn't matter - and i also have this tea tree oil right here - that i'm gon na start using. I actually am going to be recording a curly hair wash day routine for you guys tomorrow, because i have work today, so i can't record it today because i can't wear my hair in braids because i don't know how to style it enough to make it look. Professional for work, so i'm gon na do it tomorrow for you guys, but those are just the different types of oils that i use to help my hair grow and just like putting it in the certain sections of my braids, so we'll get into um, like braid Outs and stuff, but my second one, oh well, my second one is braid out so doing braid outs. Doing protective styles has really helped my hair grow. As soon as i was able to do a braid out on my hair, then i did it because i, as you guys know, i was kind of complaining on my channel about how i didn't really like the length of my hair, and i couldn't do anything with My hair, but as soon as i was able to put it in braids, then i did, and so i did braid outs. I haven't done a twist out yet, but i'm probably going to make a video on it, showing you guys my process of doing a twist out on my short hair and i plan on doing that. I don't know when, but that video is gon na come. But i did braid out and they really have helped me to just not touch my hair to have it pushed away and out of my face, and just like you know not so much tugging and pulling and combing it all the time. Because i usually leave my braids in for a few days or as long as i can keep it in and then i start taking it out once it starts getting a little bit like messy and looking a little bit rough. You know what i mean, so i usually keep those braids in for a little bit and it helps to just have nothing touching my hair, nothing pulling it or anything like that, so it really helped my hair grow then also another tip that has helped me was Wearing bonnets to sleep, i i noticed that wearing bonnets to sleep was really helping my hair with like split ends, and everything like that. I do need a trim. I'Ve said that before, but uh bonnets have really just helped to protect my hair whenever it is in the braids and just like, when it's out like this, just to make sure that, when i'm sleeping on my pillow that it's not like rubbing up against my hair And like giving my hair like all this friction and just giving me split ends and everything like that, because i don't have a satin uh pillowcase, i have a cotton pillowcase, so i probably should switch over to that and i most likely will. But bonnets are good as well. You can just put them on and take them off. It'S really not that you know much of a hassle and they're super cute ones. You can get them from like the beauty, supply store or wherever you get your hair products from you can also get bonnets from there too. So i would highly recommend using bonnets if you don't already, because it really will make a difference. You just got ta be consistent with it. Also another thing that ties into oiling my scalp was: i did scalp massages. So whenever i took my braids out from my braid out, i would just give myself a little scalp, massage and use like use. One of these oils, like either the castor oil or the tea tree oil and just give myself a little massage. I wouldn't necessarily like hold my head upside down, but i would just kind of just do it as soon as i take my braids out just to give it a little bit more of stimulation like stimulating the blood flow and everything like that in my scalp, and It just helps to oil, your scalp at the same time as well, so scalp massages are really good for promoting hair growth because they stimulate circulation and blood flow to your head to get everything you know moving and everything like that. So that is essentially what we want, so scalp massages are really good. I didn't really do them for, like a certain amount of time. I kind of just did them, so you can just do them. You know for like three three minutes. Five minutes you know, whatever is your preference or how much time you have so that is another good thing is scout massages, my last tip that i have is deep conditioning and finding a good, deep, conditioner or um. I didn't add it on here, but protein treatments are really good too. If you want your hair to grow, because if your hair is very dry and suffering from like dry split ends or damaged hair or color treated hair, it's not going to be growing as fast as you want it to, because you have damaged hair or dry hair Or brittle hair, or just anything like that, so i always say this: for literally everything: everything comes from good hydration. If you are hydrated and hydrating your skin and hydrating your hair and hydrating your body, then everything will work. The way that it's supposed to go because, if anything's dry, it's not going to be the way that you want it to like we we're not dry over here, you need to be having moisture. You need to be having hydration hydration can't speak hydration, so make sure to find a good like hydrating, conditioner or hydrating, deep conditioner or um. Just like any hair mask. I have the one from cream of nature. You guys have seen that in my last curly hair, routine video i haven't, i purchased two of them, so i'm on the second one right now. I use it on the first one, but that is a good line as well. Shea moisture, as i am um carol's daughter, you know there's so many different types of hair masks out there that can be working for your specific hair concern, so i would definitely recommend doing deep conditioning treatments like at least once every two weeks or once every week And a half or something like that, just to make sure that your hair is getting the right amount of moisture and hydration so that it can grow and be healthy. The way that it's supposed to be growing. So that is a very important one to just really make sure that your hair is hydrated. If your hair is hydrated, it will flourish. I promise you that, because it just makes sense, like you know, just hydrate your hair and making sure that your scalp is moisturized and everything is just moisturized and not dry and breaking off and brittle. So those are my like very top, like five tips that have helped my hair grow. Nothing too crazy. I wasn't taking hair vitamins, i wasn't taking certain like hair growth pills or anything like that. I literally just did all of these, and my hair grew to the length that it is now with doing just those tips alone. So if you are like you want to grow your hair, but you don't want to like purchase all these different things and i would probably just recommend doing oiling your scalp and deep conditioning your hair. That'S like the best thing that you can do. The other ones are, i guess, not really necessary, but they're still very important if you want your hair to grow. So those are my big five tips to healthy hair growth and having your hair grow the length that you wanted. I hope that you guys enjoyed this video.
