How long does it take for hair to grow? That is a topic of today's video and first of all, happy Memorial Day and salutes to everyone. Who'S lost two lives who served our country, so I know it is a holiday, but I'm posting five times a week, but anyway, that that is a topic of today's video. How long does it take for hair to grow, which is probably in the top five most asked questions that I get, whether it's through email or DMS or whatever it is? Everybody wants to know how long it's gon na take for their hair to get to a certain style. So technically, hair grows anywhere from half an inch to an inch per month right, it's more like three quarters of an inch, but if your hair happens to grow very very quickly, you know it's. It may get to an inch, but the average person from what I've seen is a half an inch to three quarters of an inch per month. So it may take six a year to grow the hair six inches or six and a half to seven inches long. That long, yes, it takes a long time to grow your hair out, especially if you are shaving your head, like you buzz it off number one, and you want a ponytail, I mean so for all of you, math majors out there and people who are really great At math just do the math, that's what I have to say. If your hair grows, you know, say, half an inch a month say on average a half an inch per month times. However many inches, you want your hair to grow. That'S how long it's going to take and and that there's a few other things that you need to understand too, when it comes to growing your hair. So one of the myths - and you hear this all time is - does washing your hair. You know more often make your hair grow faster, does washing the hair or less often to make the hair grow faster. I'Ve noticed in my career that, if you wash your hair, maybe every two to three days hair grows quicker. I'Ve noticed that when the hair is dirtier for some reason, it just makes the hair go faster. I know it's kind of gross, but I have noticed that the hair does grow a little quicker, the less you wash it. But that doesn't mean that if you do wash your hair every single day that it's gon na prevent your hair from growing or it's gon na make your hair fall out or anything I say, wash your hair as often as needed as long as you're, using a Good quality, shampoo and conditioner, like my pure set, is probably one of the top ones out there or my hemp set. You know a lot of people love those. So if you're using good quality stuff, there's nothing wrong with washing your hair every single day. No, my shampoos are not stripout natural oils, it kind of leaves them there and it and it helps clean what is needed right. It cleanses and removes the impurities. It is good for the scalp and it promotes healthier, thicker hair growth and helps condition the hair as well. So we've got good quality products. They'Re gon na have a lot of benefits to them, whereas if you're going to the store and purchasing a shampoo for $ 2.99, I'm not gon na name any brand names. But those tend to be a little more harsh on the hair and have stronger more chemical type ingredients that are the best for your hair, so that may dry out your hair or give it a different type of condition. So you know that's one thing to keep in mind, but as far as growing your hair out and how long does it take to grow, you know it really depends. Another thing that you guys can do is if your - and this is another question I get if your hair is say this long right and the style you want, the guy's hair is down to here. Do the myth, and and don't be so focused on how long is it gon na take my hair to grow if it takes a half, an inch to grow per month do the mess and if you don't want to even do that, just keep being patient until The hair gets down to how long you know you want it to be, and and - and I just the amount of emails and people reaching out to me that I get about this topic - is unreal. It'S crazy! So if you are new to my channel and if you have any questions about hair growth or how long should my hair be or what to ask my barber or stylist, please, I have over 1500 videos just go on to YouTube and type in hair growth. The salon guy, or what to ask my barber salon, guy or wavy hair, the salon guy, just like any search query that you're looking for just go on to Google or YouTube and type that and add the salon guy to it and chances are a video will Pop up of something you're looking for because I've done so many videos, but I do know you guys like hair tips and things like this because every day, I'm getting new viewers to my channel every single day, I'm getting new subscribers so welcome. If you are new and if you have been a subscriber for some time, I apologize if I do or seem somewhat redundant, but you know I figured every video I do even if I've done something on it before I'm trying to bring value to you all. Even if it's one thing that you get from the video, it's gon na mean a lot to me. So please, let me know in the comments below. If this video helped you guys stay safe and healthy, happy holiday and don't forget to Like comment and subscribe I'll see you next time for more videos with this long guy,

Musique3579: Best thing of all when growing your hair out long: *Don't keep looking at yourself in the mirror 10 times a day!* Consider all "a work in progress." Stop the worry of an Awkward Stage. Instead, have fun with it. A new look every day.

Nonwhatsoever: "I guide others to a treasure i cannot possess"

canonogic: I should've watched this before giving myself a covid buzzcut

Eren Yeager: Ironically Best barbers are bald

Fish: The transition from growing hair advice to advertising his product is silky af

kevindxniel: I started growing my hair in May last year and it was short, just had the usual line up with taper. It’s been a year now and it’s up to my nostrils. For anyone wondering about my progress here’s how long it got after every haircut since. JUNE & JULY it was textured on top, AUGUST & SEPTEMBER it passed my hairline so it falls on my forehead a bit. OCTOBER & NOVEMBER it covered half my forehead. DECEMBER & JANUARY it reached past my eyebrows. FEBRUARY & MARCH it reach passed my eyes. APRIL & MAY it reached to my nostrils. Still going for a bit longer until it passes my nose. I have a curtains haircut just to give you an idea. Hair growth process takes long but it’s worth it in the end

peixi: The not washing the hair part for like a few days is so true. My sister's hair grows faster than mine because she only washes her hair three times in a week.

Megan Kohtz: I went natural by buzzing my own hair an inch (No.8 guard) all over 10 years ago. It took 18months to get back to shoulder-length hair.

mrddarrio 111: Coconut oil in my hair has always made it grow extremely fast. Wash it , conditioner, coconut oil. I skip washing my hair about twice a week

Arjun Handa: I really like how Hank ended up being a salon guy and gave up that DEA thing

Dante Aguilar: My hair was about 5 to 6 inches in the top, I decided to buzz it. I'm on day 11 of a buzz cut. By Mid July I want to cut the sides. My hair grows fairly quick. I buzzed it down to a 1 and now it already has grown a few centimeters within 11 days.

Jim Halpert: I've kept my hair very short in recent years (which I like) and around the new year (of 2020) I decided I wanted to try growing my hair out. I have kept at it although I haven't loved it a lot of the time. I think I'll start looking for something better to do with it at the length it's at. I'm not sure how long I'll go but I was thinking either until a good amount is at my shoulders or COVID is over. It's been strange to see myself look different and in some ways I think it has taught me a lot and (this is gonna sound dumb but) I think it's humbled me. I just thought I'd share this here because I haven't anywhere else.

MojoMystical: This guy knows so much more than us about hair but doesn't have any

pinkpanda: mine grew really quick as i stopped washing it everyday and started washing it when really needed bc it was really dry (now i wash it about every 2-3 days) and it is much more healthier now i get a lot of compliments often about how much it improved and grew

Milan Polstra: hey quick question, i have really thick curly/wavy hair, ive been growing it out now and the top reaches my chin now, ive noticed that the hair on my left side curls beautifully but the right side is pretty straight and seems to curl into my face if that makes sense. is there anything i can do to make that equal?

placid renegade: I have not had my hair cut since February (lockdown hair) I have it one buzz all the time and man it's really hard to live with. It's grown around 3 inches as of now and really grey too! Not used to seeing my hair that platinum blonde lol

Sel 88: I just want the kurt cobain hairstyle more than anything else. I've tried to grow my hair before but gave up. Finally been sticking to it this year. Hopefully a year from now I'll be close to that length

Hamza ik: First of all, love all of your videos! I have really thick wavy hair and it gets all puffy and frizzy are there any tips or products that I can use to keep it nice and tame? Also healthy

Argyle: My old hairstyle was a comb over and now I want a middle part. I was debating if I should cut my hair short all the way around and grow out my hair or grow it out the way it is. Any tips?

Federal Bureau of Gaming: My hair stretches down to my nose but it feels like it's been there forever.

Bon Bon: quick question: what are your thoughts of using rice water to grow ur hair out faster? i've seen many videos saying rice water is the best treatment.

Dani was invented: “Do the math” - Oh frick, frick, frick...!! “Or if you can’t do math, just be patient” - Ohhh thank you.

RaspberryGoose: Went to the barber shop today, my hair would reach under my lip/cover my ear depending on which side its on, told him that I want to really shorten my sides, but only cut a little from my top, to make it grow more evenly, walked out of there with really nice sides but my favorite part of my hair (the sides cuz they were really comfy and nice to have + I felt unique with it) was half its length lmao

Travis Kraft: Mine is growing out and looking sweet.

A S H L L Y N N 1 0 1: My hair actually grows pretty quickly... It grows a little less than an inch a month which I hate when I cut my hair short. Now I have it short and I need it a little longer to be able to put it in a certain style... very ironic tho

Srdjan Matic: From personal experience, you need arround one year if you don't cut it at all (i was growing it from buzz cut) and that is time for really tight bun, arround 1,5 years is needed with no cutting for okay looking bun and tying it without hurting your scalp (tho you are going to have split ends so its up to you how often do you want it trimmed)

Bʀʏ: I'm growing out my hair for 2months now(since the start of the quarantine) so thankyou for this

Ahmad Yusri: My hair grows super fast within 1 month where it reaches my max point kinda (?) since I’ve never gone more than 1 month but that was when I used to shampoo 2 times a day! I’ve started a week ago to have a long hair, I used to have a very very short hair even in its max point! I’m waiting to see the results within few months but my hair is dry and its hard to shape any style.. any solution/recommendations?

Ouk Sovan អ៊ុកសុវណ្ណ: my concern is for my curly hair. it appears shorter than it actually is, i want my curly hair to grow long enough where it can fall down naturally.

Lg Marquez: I've reached one year of hair growth today! No trims or anything for a year. I really need to go to a hairstylist to get my split ends cut but everything is closed. Any suggestions to deal with split ends?

Carson Wilds: Growing your hair long usually takes two years and people are usually satisfied with the end result.

kazui: i can tell that this man really wants his hair to grow

885 Blackjack - Las Vegas Blackjack News: Made the mistake of buzzing off my undercut. Regretted it instantly. I'm 6 weeks in on the re-growth. The struggle is already very real. Also looking for a great Barber in Vegas! hmu

Sandeep Bjm: We all made the decision to shave cause of lock down, now since we’re going back out with our half ass hair we regretting it , lol.

D o g g y: My hair is just below my mouth length and it took ages ( my hair used to be short ) but I like it now

Nishad Art: That does it. This man is a mind reader.

Some random guy: Guys, im trying for my first time to grow out my hair until shoulder length kinda size. I have oily hair ( becomes oily after 2 days of not shampooing) and a bit wavy type of hair. Do you guys have any recommendations for which shampoo should i use? Can i still use hair mask (makarizo) in order to achieve healthier hair and is it normal to shed some hairs? Thanks for the help in advance! I feel my hair is not growing as fast as other people :)

Dylan Schneider: If you're hair grows 1/2 an inch a month like mine I've noticed taking collagen powder almost doubles the growth rate. It's pricey, but it's worth it imo.

RYN: Barbers kept buzzing my head but left my bangs long to slick it back unevenly. So I started cutting my own hair so it could go out evenly. Almost going on a year and I'm finally getting my length back its kinda like flat top haircut.

Baki Hanma: Bruh! I trimmed all over my head with a 20mm, since my hair was damaged and frizzy and shit. Now it’s been 2 months and some days n still looks short. But my back and sides look good tho

Eplo: 2:06 wow I havnt washed my hair in a week , also I agree I wash my hair every 2-3days and maybe even every week or so if I'm lazy great advice

Annamaria Khan: My hair grows Half an inch a month. hair grows from the roots but taking care of it (keeping it moisturized and not drying it out) will retain the length. Using a good quality shampoo without drying agents like he said along with a good conditioner. Washing less like he said. Using diy or store bought deep conditioners leave in conditioners and OILS help retain growth. Scalp massages will help increase blood supply which send nutrients to the hair roots and push out hair a little faster and thicker but you have to do that atleast about 10 minutes a day everyday lol. Eat a nutritions diet and take supplements with silica, biotin, zinc and iron . Baby your hair. Don’t bleach hair like ever! do a 1 inch trim every 4-6 months. No heat. Use silk pillow cases and hair claws instead of clips and tight hair ties. Buns and braids on most days. Those tips has helped me so much!!

IAS mania: A blad guy talking about long hairstyles. This is the confidence I want in my life.

Ryan McNally: Hey salon guy. I got a question for you. If you want to grow your hair out but you work out frequently and someone who sweats a lot, what should you do?? Wouldn’t that make you smell bad and make your hair greasy?? Thx and I hope you can respond.

Cupar Wearing: i have been trying to find a decent explanation through lockdown because I am trying to grow mine out, so thank you sir

ktownbball ktownbball: The grind never stops on the videos

Jhun Airell Dapat: What are your thoughts about rice water? Hope you answer my question, been using it for almost a week. Thanks. Highly appreciated! ❣️

🍊fruit: There's no such thing as an awkward stage, all u need is the right styling product for your hair to tame it.

Judy Zim’S JustaMere Homesteader: I pixie shag my hair my self every 4 to 5 months I link my eyes and it’s back to my shoulders and in my eyes and sides blocking out the view of everything . No matter how often I do on don’t wash it I use my dog Scissors only till i never worry how it turns out it just does and since it grows so fast it’s 30 I save 3 times or more a year

KiwiKeyblade: I'm here because the hair stylist accidentally cut my hair too short lol. It was to my waist and now it's a bit above mid back! I love the style, but I am known for my long hair so I want it back soon

Hobs: could you do a video on the best products for each hairy type. Shampoo, conditioner, gels and others. Good video btw :)

ii_isxbxl: how long does hair from just under the ears take to grow to elbow length?

TheMetalhead678: I think it grows faster when you don't wash it as much because of the oils, because it's preventing dryness and dullness which causes breakage and all other sorts of problems.

Mario G: Would u recommend layering for relaxed curls??

Usman Farooq: Hey man i had a question, is it normal for your hair to lose when your growing it, my hair is breaking lately for the past 2 weeks im 17 and i have no one in my family that is bald, so i was wondering if thats normal

Callan Jacobson: Hey man just wanted to say I love what your doing and your videos are hella helpful!

Catex: I actually feel like my hair grows faster when I´m in the sun a lot as if I´m a fcking plant lmao

NightOwl Games: does hair ever get to a certain length and just stop growing or does it keep growing? i get shoulder length hair then it seems to stop.

Da heck homie: I got haircut yesterday from waist to ears. I feel good I just wanted my hair little more on length but it looks good. When I will grow it even more i will get a wolfcut. Well 15 yr old me is enjoying myself

Ramzi Khoury: Surely helpful and hopefully to you as well so the number of emails would diminish hahaha... Personally I wish I had you when I had my secret shy plans of growing my hair when I was young.. Meant too young haha.. Take care good man

Charles Rogers: Keep it up mate, first time on ur channel but it was really helpful, have a good one

Dori: Hey @mrsalonguy my hair from the front reaches to my mouth barely and my sides on the top are shorter how do I get all my hair to be the same length also I really enjoy your videos!!!

Ali Dawoud: I have straight/wavy/curly hair on different parts of my head. Any advice?

Victor: I can't confirm this scientifically but I've had long(like to my nips) hair my entire life, growing it long then cutting it, doing this over and over since I was a child. So about 25 years experience. My tip would be water. I once heard water encourages hair and nail growth. If your someone who maybe takes a single shower a day consider a second. If anything your scalp will stay cleaner and allow your scalp to breathe, which would seem to encourage healthy follicles right? All anecdotal though.

maream kwt: This video helped me alot now I know that in October im gonna have the length of my hair that i want so bad

Brieen: Hey could you do a video on the types of hair like 1a 1b etc I’m pretty sure my hairs straight but it kinda slants left or right if you understand what I mean. Anyway nice video keep it up :)

Oscar Giri: Your videos are very knowledgeable. Thankyou for everything !♥️ My hair is a bit wavy. When I travel outside due to dust my hair becomes very textured hard and becomes straight and easy to style but when I am at home or just take a bath cleaning my hair. My hair becomes curly and unmanageable what should I do to obtain same textured straight hair that I get when i travel outside at home?

Williamsanchezzz: I can cut my sides to a skin fade and it will grow about half a inch in 2 weeks. My sides grow ridiculously fast I hate it, and I can never comb or style it right to now stick out

Seiot: You’re hard working, thank you

Dejj Hhshdj: Tip: use shampoo every other week and use conditioner everyday

Jonah Nurgovon: I been shaving my hair dor 4 or 5 years.. Every time i grow my hair. It comes in course. Then grows fluffy and straight on top. I know im suffering from Mpb, so i been shaving the back and sides. Now i get this fluff growing.. Will top hair get dence if i leave it.

CashNasty: My hair goes down to my nose but only when I grab a strand a pull it down, but if I'm not doing this my hair normally sits just below my eyebrows, any reason for this? Does this mean if I want my hair to normally reach below my eyes it'd have to go down to my mouth when straightened/pulled?

Brady Purdie: I did have long hair but I cut it . Few months later I want my long hair back ❤️

Mello: I wash my hair 2 times a week and my hair grows a little faster

Harr1s: I dont think my hair even rly grows anymore if that's possible. I mean I'm still a teen and for a few years I was getting this undercut kinda stile with a line on the side and short hair on the top. My hair on the top is now down to my nose and I'm trying to get it to my chin but I haven't had this line redone in ages and it still hasn't filled in. When I pull my hair on the left side I can see the line not as obvious as it used to be but still there and as it goes to the back I have another line going across the back part of my head around the crown, my hair is scuffed :/

KingZakkuu: I got a haircut recently for my graduation and basically that's my last haircut for a long time cause I hate haircuts. I grow it out and go with the flow.

ya Boy Jonez: On average your hair grows about half an inch per month so if you do the math to achieve this look will take about 9-12 months.

IGOR: The Salon guy is about to finalize his form and become the Salon god

TheMCArrow32: Hopefully my hair grows 3 inches by august :) im 15 and since march my hair has grown 3 inches so I think it’ll happen

Kelvin Issac: Ive been growing my hair since February and my hair reaches nose now

The_ Venom: I went bald and my fringe used to be 2 inches how long will it take to grow back?

SyNc: i have good hair but my pain problem is i have a cowlick on the front of my head along with having different textured hair on the same head , i have dead straight hair on the left side of my head and as for the right side its kinda wavy and chunky and not as smooth as the left side as i am stuck between thinking of growing out my hair till shoulder length or having a disconnected hair cut and just fixing the front cowlick with a hair dryer like i normally do

Purple Love: My problem is that my hair is growing but my bangs are taking forever its been about 3 years and it in my upper lipand also have other pieces of hair that are uneven. but the bangs OMG so fustrratingthanks 4 sharing

Blackfyre: Can you do a video on trimming the hair near your ears when growing your hair out?

Snowy Boop: I just want the follicles to grow back cause, I tyed up my hair and there was a strand left out and, y wanna know what I did? I pulled it out if my head, little did I realise I'd later regret that choice I made because my hair line now is no longer even cause I have an empty patch now

Navaneeth: You are doing a great work man

Parth Agarwal: Hello,I m 18 years old and I shaved my head using trimmer 2 months back my hair has grown but of very short length and for the past 1 month I couldn't see any difference in growing my hair is it normal?

SD: I had a soft hair but I started to put protein on it and consult it almost every day for half a year in time after two years so I kept my hair more rough and I tried to fix it and shaved it all and after about half a year it became longer but I don't know how to say it but it stay standing any help plz? sorry for the long Describe

Uchiha_: How can We increase hair density naturally?? and great content dude love your channel.

z3d: I have a curly hair and about 9 months ago I cut all my hair of almost like a buzz cut but a bit longer. The front goes down to my chin already

Jeanine F.: I think most people think that their hair grew really fast and wanted to see if they were right.

GamerFred: Can u discuss beard growth next like how fast it grows and what genetics slow beard growth

SpazTek Warrior: I have the same length hair as the mannequin. Would you consider it medium length or long. I have heard it referred to it as both.

bulma: hold up... my hair managed to grow from the eyebrows to the top of my mouth in 1 and a half months

Cory Spratley: I use OGX tea tree mint shampoo with witch hazel. Is that good for the scalp and healthy hair growth?

ash hat: Thank you very much for the video!

IAS mania: This video is like me advising my younger brother not to waste his time watching YouTube.

Juan Suarez: man, you are one of the best stylists i have seen, greetings

IrishUwould: I’m growing my hair out but I’m thinning on top/balding on the crown and receded. The top can’t keep up with the back and sides. I look so stupid.
