Hello and welcome to a another episode of clear hair. Let'S get started. Thank you guys so much. I appreciate all the support i received for my princess tiana, hair tutorial, which is out as well as my hair. Tutorial makeup is out um, so much so today. I'M just gon na be doing a reaction, video to um, tiana um. Now, of course, i'm not gon na play the video because of copyright, but um. I can definitely show some images to bring it along. So the first thing we're going to talk about. I have my little notes here: um. The first thing i'm going to talk about is the fact that it was released in 2009 and it set the world. It was like a cultural reset, we're just like wow like it was like one of the um. It'S not gon na be a history channel, but it was one of the uh few la last few of the movies that they're actually using animation. Now they have movies like moana and frozen you're, trying to say um. So now it's just like. I think it was like. I really was like one of them, the last last one of the last ones that got released also as well. The only thing about it, just i feel like it, doesn't get the credit that it deserves. You know the first and only black princess is for princess tiana and i get a credit dessert but then again like at the time i didn't look. I didn't realize how i looked it up, but tiana was released a week before, but this isn't. The fog was released the week before avatar and you already know like i'm just waiting, i'm just waiting to turn. You know 65 to get the second one, but um yeah. I can definitely say for sure that uh, i think it was just released at the wrong time um. It didn't gross a lot, but i can definitely say cultural reset for sure that i felt like it was needed um at the time. I was in age that i'm not now so um, i feel like. I was a little girl all over again. Like i remember, i rushed the movie theater to go, see it, and i was i just felt like you ever had words. It'S like you know, you're, an adult like a little person and you're. Just like you know what this is amazing. I was like. I got. Ta buy all this pretty princess, tiama stuff right now, but i can definitely say for sure that it was a representation of me. You know we have this girl coming in with her. You know deeply marinated skin and then she has her natural hair and i really feel like it was very crucial for her hair to be natural, and i know a lot of people will sit there and be like oh well. It was sick back. I was just like my hair split back, it's so natural, but i feel like it was very important and i feel like they definitely hit the mark on that um. I feel like the impact on the culture as well. I love the fact that it's not just you know little black girls who love tiana, everybody loves tiana, like everybody loves tiana um. I think one of the main things that i liked about her as well was the fact that she she didn't. She didn't take anything from anybody like it wasn't like. Okay, well, you know her friend's rich, so i don't got ta work like she really got on her own, like she's, like i'm gon na cook, these meals at my um that i learned from my parents and i'm gon na do this on my own. I'M gon na do this there, like sometimes like i catch myself, singing the song, which is copyrighted. I guess i still sing the song. Almost there kind of it's like. Sometimes you feel like you're like on this journey of life you're, just like okay, just a little bit more just a little bit more right, so i saw i was saying i was just like it was just such a cultural impact, especially on her hair representation um. I can definitely say for sure is i think someone had asked me. Oh, you should be a disney princess in real life. I was like so a little fun fact to be a disney princess or a character actor. You have to be between five four and five. Seven, i'm five ten, so i was like so you can't i'm going to be over here. Walking to these little kids, i'm princess tiana they're, just like whoa, like regular kids, do yeah, i'm trying to say i think i was at. I think i was going to some. It was like a museum with my sister and like this little kid like, i could say, they're like like four or five years old. So this story is real because i hate when people say yeah. My 16 month year old said said what they said: fish and hey giggled away anyway, they're like four or five years old and you're, like you're, like a statue, and then i was wearing a gold dress, a golden statue. I was like. Thank you, i'm real. He was like, oh you lying. I was like yes, i am, but i can definitely say. I understand why the busy presences are 5.57 um. That'S another credential as well. The fact that you have to go through a lot of training, but i can definitely say for sure that um, i think her representation is perfect. I know there's a lot of criticism about the fact they feel like they only get from one hairstyle didn't give her a lot of different outfits. You know i made my modern version. This is like my even more modern version of it um, but i definitely feel like for sure that, like a lot of people felt like it wasn't a good representation, and my thing is that when i was younger, i think i was claiming um. What'S her name, i claim jasmine, i claim same with the colors of the wind pocahontas. I claim her. I was like i just gon na claim anybody whose skin tone is darker. You know, but i can definitely say for sure she doesn't get the credit she does like. I um one of the one of the reasons why i created my tutorial because it's like, i should see like a whole wall full of yeah, i'm trying to say i should see like a whole wall full of princess tiana, like i want to say, impersonations, but Definitely um definitely for sure, like. I was expecting to see like a giant wall of uh just keep scrolling through scrolling, but i think from what i've seen. I think i've only seen seven um hair tutorials from melanated women - and i was just like i'm number eight. So this is one of the things was just like. I really feel like i'm on this journey right now called life, that's so corny, but i feel like i'm on this journey right now, where i feel like. I am putting videos out that i don't see. You know like a princess tiana, i counted - maybe three popular ones, and maybe seven in total. I'M just like this doesn't make any sense, she's the first and only black disney princess. I need a special on each person's page. That'S your homework tonight, especially each person's page dedicated to tiana, like i feel like she's, not hyped up enough that i was like i'm going to make this whole thing. You know you know. Thank you again to biamour, like would help me with the idea, but i'm just like i don't understand why she's not giving this like whole whatever, but so it looks like you know, of course you know, i don't believe rumors, but it looks like in 2023, they're Gon na have an animated series on disney plus, of course, and that's supposed to be coming out next year, and i was sitting here and i was just like wow like i mean i would love to continue it. I mean it's been next year's, probably gon na. Be 14 years from then you know so almost two decades, almost a decade and a half from what i did so i'm excited you know. Maybe they were working on it hard to give us some justice, but i just feel like i don't describe. I'M excited to watch it, i mean there's some art there that i found yeah and it was so good shout out to the artists. They, you know just say shout out to ourselves, definitely make sure to get their credit because they did that you know, but definitely when i saw it, i was so happy. You know like to see a black disney princess as well as another point that i want to bring up too. Is that is there going to be a live action honestly um? Let'S say they were just like claire. We saw your thing. We want you to be in the live action like couple of things. I cannot sing okay, i can do hair. I can flick a button down. I can do math. Singing is not one of them, like god was like i'm gon na, make you five ten. I'M gon na make you creative, but the singing there's a max. There'S got to be a max. You know what i'm trying to say so definitely can't sing and i feel like the person who's going to play. Tiana needs to sing. I think i want to say: anika not a rose, i feel like i'm saying her name incorrectly, so i hope uh when i edit it i'm gon na correct it, but definitely for sure i feel like she's still young enough. You know the melanin's happening, but i feel like she's still young enough to um play herself. You know the person, the voice actor for tiana. I feel like she'd, make a great live action, but do i want to see a live action? I would say yes and no um, i'm kind of on the fence, because the live action so far has been a1 like. I think my favorite live action so far. I want to say beauty and the beast has actually been my favorite one live-action so far, beauty and the beast cinderella. I like cinderella. I like cinderella a little bit. Um uh aladdin was just just oh, my god, the colors. You know i'm obsessed with colors. My whole channel is in color um, but definitely for sure i would say that i would love to see a live action. I don't know when we're gon na see it. I feel like they're, going to try to see how the animated feature the animated series does. Next year in 2023, and then i think they'll go from there, but it's just gon na be so exciting. Like i love hearing uh, but you know basically, uh tiana was the entrepreneur before entrepreneur was a thing. You know that was back in 2009, so it's just for her to be able to sit there and say i'm going to open my own restaurant, whether or not i get money or not, i'm going to say i'm going to hustle. Am i going to ask anybody? I was just like tiana's a millennial. Okay, we don't want nobody's help, but but let you know when we get to the top we're gon na floss on them. What are we gon na? Do we're gon na floss on them, but i can definitely say for sure that i'm so excited. Thank you guys for your support. So much if you have any other points you want to make about um the movie.
