All right, hey, y'all, welcome to my channel or welcome back to my channel. So, as you can see by the thumbnail, i did a new look. I have not done a style like this on my channel these boho box braids before and i am i really like them y'all. I really do like them. I was definitely inspired by pearl the stylus. I don't know if you guys follow her on instagram, but you should. I will put her pictures and her instagram all that kind of stuff or whatever right here. I just freaking love her she's, so talented she is like. She is one of people. I don't let people touch my hair. You already know this about me. I do my own hair, but i would let her touch it. I want some box braids from her, but since i don't live in georgia, i'm not making no trips anytime soon. I was like. Okay, how do i get this style on the low asap i'm going to get into all of the details and some tips that i think will help you guys when doing this style. But first let me just show you a little snippet of how i installed them and what the hair looks like and the extra hair that i also used for these box braids. So i'll be right back all right. You guys so starting off with some straight back. Cornrows y'all, i do not, you know, do detailed braid patterns um very often so i have 12 mini cornrows kind of like in the front, and then i just connected them all in the back to make it as flat as possible, and the braids i'm using today Are from amazon, this whole pack cost me 35, so you get eight of these individual packs and it comes with 10 braids on each little strand. These are 14 inch braids, and this pack, like the what they give you is enough for a full head, so y'all. This probably took me 30 to 35 minutes, taking my time to crochet in i'm, going really slow. Just for those who haven't, you know done this before anything like that, so you're just going to crochet as normal and then you're going to slide that braid back and then take the bottom of the braid and like crochet it through. I can't explain it it's easier. If you just watch what i'm doing, um and and kind of learn that way, because it just makes more sense, but it's super easy to crochet as far as doing it like double time and all that kind of stuff, i don't think it's necessary and i think It would pull um, they did loosen a bit, so i did have to kind of tighten them up, because i did wear these on a trip and i did also pull my hair back um pretty much the majority of the trip. So just keep that in mind. If you want to do them like double knot them, i didn't try it at all, because i just didn't feel like it was necessary and i don't think i lost any braids either you guys. So that is totally up to you. Um, i will say, be gentle around your edges and i'm gon na keep saying that, because my edges are going through it right now. Y'All so just make sure you um aren't braiding your hair too tight you're not pulling too tight you're, not crocheting too many braids on one individual braid um, because that's gon na take up. You know it's gon na add more tension to it. So again just make sure they're spaced out enough and you should be fine. So this is the hair that i used to kind of just give myself a little bit more curl. It didn't really come out how i wanted it to be honest with you guys, um. I brought i bought this hair for a totally different purpose like last year and i never used it um so just make sure you're getting some type of curly crochet, but i think this hair is really nice, so i bought this hair from amazon as well. So if they have something like this in a curly crochet or if they offer that, then i would stick with this company because i ended up liking. The hair with the hair was really soft. It'S just the pattern didn't come out exactly how i wanted it to so anyways. I added just a few pieces of that um that hair and then i just went on ahead and cut it a little bit more kind of angled it a bit um and then i cut it off camera a little bit more as well the next day. So just sit tight and i will give you guys some a few more tips and my final thoughts on this look. All right. You guys. So you see this style is very easy to install it's like any other crochet. I did very simple braid pattern. I actually did my hair all the way to drop isaiah off going to dallas. I just put some cornrows in it and was like i'm just gon na have to just keep this real basic. I wanted to do something a little bit more detailed and stuff like that, but super pressed for time because we are leaving for vegas tomorrow. So when you guys see this video, i should be in vegas if you can't braid, if you can't do all those crazy designs and all that don't worry about it, a simple braid pattern will do the biggest tip. I can give you guys with crocheting this hair in because you kind of want the hair to if you want it like this, you know a deep side, part and you don't want it all kind of coming in your face, make sure you're crocheting the hair in Angles when need be for maybe like the front of my head, i didn't just crochet it or i tried my best not to just crochet it going straight. This way um because i felt like it would be too much hair right here in the front of my face, if that makes sense. So instead i crocheted some, like maybe the first two going straight over and then i started to crochet like this middle kind of diagonal, so i just crocheted them a little bit, not all of them kind of diagonal so that it's not so bulky. That is probably my biggest tip and same thing with the sides. I did a couple of these just going straight down and then a lot of these i kind of angled them to go back, because i you know, i don't really like that much hair. On my face and yada yada yeah, and i just thought it would fall better and lay better and it did um. So that's my biggest tip. I can tell you another really great crochet tip, for you guys is to sleep on the crochet, especially doing braids and twists like that sleep on it for a night or two and then go in and cut or add or take out, because the hair will settle. It'S kind of like a haircut, you know it's like that day after haircut with men with us or whatever it just looks even better. So i always let my hair settle and then the next day i go in and really you know cut it. Some more. Do some more details, things like that this took about 45 minutes to install so far. I don't have any itching or anything like that, but make sure you you make sure you do um the apple cider vinegar bath before. If you have a sensitive scalp, i will say the curls: it's not as curly as maybe i thought it would be, and i felt like not. Every pack was the same type of curls that i saw so it has the braid. For instance, it has the braid on it, but i felt like some of these little curls were a little bit tighter and some were more like a wave which is not a bad thing. I thought i wanted it more curly um, but i like the kind i like, the combination that they did. I don't know if it was done on purpose or that's what they expected. I think it works um if you want something a little bit more curly. Just add in pieces, like i showed you guys, go, buy some cheap crochet hair, whatever type of curl you want and just sporadically you know just space it out and add some in two other things you guys you can do singles in the front with this now, As far as unbraiding this hair, could you i don't? I don't know, i didn't really test that theory out. It has like a little knot right here. My first thought would be just take this braiding hair, since it's already that you already bought it and just undo it like. I did and then just use this hair to you know, do box braids that you don't have to buy anything extra or you just buy some braiding hair and do some singles in the front. You know if you wanted to and then crochet the back doing it. That way makes more sense than taking the time to unravel like these. Then you mess up the hair and all that kind of stuff. It'S not work, i don't. I don't think it would be worth it to do it point being, is you could definitely do some singles in the front to make it a little bit more? You know like single box braids versus crochet, but again i did not have time, and i really am showing you guys this because well, because when i did it and second of all, it's a great style. If you don't have no time. My sister came over last night and tried to um fill in my gaps. Let me show you guys, so i haven't taken a mirror and actually looked at the back of my head. I just was like okay, it was night time and we was tired and i was like okay, you put some back there cool, so i really planned on like pulling like the front of it back and kind of hiding this section back here, but now i'm not Going to get myself together, i don't know i'm kind of cute. I may be wearing it down a lot. These do have a little bit of weight on them. They are like a medium sized box braid and they have extra hair on them as well. So keep that in mind: what's your saving grace? Is that they're shorter in length um? So i think that definitely helps, but i did notice like yesterday, when i put in the first like three or four packs i was like okay. I can definitely feel this. I didn't get that sense of oh, my god. These are so light. I can't even feel them on my hair. Now i felt them was i dying? No, i wasn't dying about it and i'm still not i'm just letting you know that it does have some weight to them. Other than that you guys that is it for this look. I hope you like it. I hope you guys um, try it out too. It'S super cute. I'Ve got to get going. You guys! Thank you guys so much for watching.
