Highline Wigs: Human Hair Topper Review (+ Discount!)

A lot of people have heard about Highline, Wigs and for good reason, because her pieces are gorgeous., So this is .... What can I tell you about her? This is an 18 inch silk-based topper. The color is light Lexie.. It is in Highline Wigs' standard density.. So I can't remember what the percentage is. Is. It. 110. 120. 130. I can't remember., But it is her standard density. And it is an eight by eight base, if I didn't say that already.. So it's a little bit on the larger side., Very close to what I wear for my day-to-day piece. And this size is really great for people who have more advanced hair loss or for those who maybe have beginning stages or intermediate stages, or maybe even no hair Loss at all, but they just wan na, add quite a bit more density to the top of their hair.. So as you can see it's gorgeous. Again, the color is light. Lexie., I'm not quite sure about the actual color codes, because it's just referred to as light Lexie.. She also has a dark Lexie. She's got an Elaine, that's gorgeous. And several several several other pieces that you might wan na check, out.. So, in speaking with the owner Sharon, she told me that this might be a good option for me, because I do tend to gravitate more towards neutral and ashy tones, which this definitely has.. It'S not super ashy., It's more of a neutral.. The blonde on top has a little bit of that ash running through it, which is why I was kind of attracted to this color personally.. But this piece actually is not for me.. The color is great and good to go. The length of it is 18 inches, but my bio hair is so long.. Let me stand up and show you.. My own hair is probably somewhere in the 22 .... I don't know. ... 23 inch range right, now. And I did actually curl this before. I did this video, but it drooped'cause it's 100 degrees out and my hair is fine and thin, and that is what it does.. So it's not looking too great right now, which is a good indication that this length isn't perfect for me, because I'm probably gon na have some of those issues. When I wear it. Outside., Like I can curl this and make it look kind of nice for photos or for a video, but in wearing it outside, where you do have that threat of it kind of drooping. It'S gon na look like this throughout the day which isn't ideal.. The good news is this style stayed perfectly throughout me. Taking some photos., I took some photos outside., So it holds the curl really really well.. My own hair, however, does not., But like I was saying so, this is not gon na be for me.. This is actually going into the hair try-on shop that I have for Corner of Hope & Mane, private community members.. So that's going in there because it's too short for me, unfortunately, but it's gorgeous., I've told you the specs.. I'Ve told you the color.. The hair is really really soft., Really really soft to the touch.. She does send all of these pieces, one length., So she recommends, as does almost every other manufacturer or retailer, that you do get the piece kind of cut in for you.. With the way that I've parted this, it almost creates a layer because I think that they are created with a center part. So the hair is all one length coming from the center.. So when you flip it ..., if you part your hair a little bit more to the side and flip it, it makes this top layer a little bit shorter.. So I've kind of created a layer here which I like and we need to add some layering on this side to help give it a little bit of volume and bounce., But really really pretty piece.. Let me go ahead and show you the inside of this base. So that you know what you are purchasing, if you head over to her site to check out some of her pieces. Okay Be right. Back. Okay., I am back and looking fabulous. Here is the underside of the piece.. So you do have a large area for that. Silk top, so what that means is you can part it as I have to the right., You can part it in the center.. You can part it to the left.. You'Ve got this whole area to create a part, and it will look like a actual scalp in that area., So then to get to .... Oh, I've got some hair tangled in here. To get to the total base. Size of eight by eight you've got some more material here.. So the total coverage size is an eight by eight. I'll have to worry about this hair later and fix it.. But one thing that you'll notice that she does that's a little bit different from other people is that for many of her stock pieces she places this comb in the front. And some people like it. Some people don't.. It'S just something that you have to experiment with, but this area as it is for me ... and I've got a little bit of dried glue from yesterday, so disregard this.. But this area is very sensitive to many women with hair loss and for me I just mentioned the glue.. I can't really clip here anymore.. I can put a piece on here for a quick video or something like that, but for comfort. If I was wearing something all day, I wouldn't wan na place a clip here., It's just too fragile and too sparse.. So what the comb does. Is it kinda slides.? You can take some of your better area up front if you have that still and slide it right over that area, and it grips that without kind of the damaging effects of a clip.. So the comb is something that you'll want to experiment with.. You might like it, you might not, but it's kind of a cool option to try.. If you don't like it, it's just stitched with a few stitches.. You can easily take that off and add a poly strip so that you can glue or tape.. You can sew a clip in., There's a million options, but most of her pieces at this point in time do come with a comb.. So she's got several clips all the way around ... and this hair is driving me insane in this clip. Just looking at it.. But we'll have to deal with that., So tons and tons of clips.. You are well covered., You don't have to snap all of them, so what I recommend is actually just using a couple. Use that for one or two weeks and then switch it up and do some other clips for the next couple. Weeks. That way, you're gon na minimize the damage to your own hair.. So I love that Highline Wigs sews in multiple clips to her pieces.. So let me just hold this up, so you can get an idea. Super super pretty.. I love the beachy waves that she puts in.. Let me see if I can get this scalp up close, so you guys can see it.. Can you see that Get a good idea? So it is realistic. Looking. It's a nice color., It looks just like hair was growing out of the top, which is what silk tops should. So gorgeous piece..
