Dresslily | Wig Review | 4 More Wigs!

Hey everybody, its uptown and I have more wigs to review for you today, four of them to be exact. The company that I'm reviewing for today is one that I've actually reviewed four in the past and it is dress Lily. You know the spiel dress. Lily is a website on the interwebs that sells wigs, dress, Lily, sells synthetic wigs human hair, wigs hair extensions, hair accessories and, in addition, they also sell clothes accessories of apparel home stuff. They sell basically everything so in the last video that I did for dress Lily. I reviewed five wigs for you guys all back to back, which was an adventure and I actually got five more wigs from them, but one of them I've actually already reviewed and talked about. I'Ve actually already reviewed and talked about this wig, which is a ladybug slash Mari net, wig from miraculous ladybug. The wig did not come styled like this just FYI, but you can style it like this. So speaking of cosplays and wigs that work really well for cosplays, the first wig of the ones that I got that I'm gon na talk about. Is this one, the martinet wig and this wig are the only two out of the five wigs that I have already opened and like tried on and done anything with them like I've messed with them a little bit this one? I haven't done a lot to those. So when you see this one on, that's basically exactly how it looks coming out of the bag just with the bangs cut slightly shorter. So this wig that I got according to their website is called the long side. Bang shaggy layered natural wavy synthetic wig hi the names have to be so long. Actually, I can answer that they're long, because undress Lily they legitimately have like hundreds of wigs to choose from so they have to all be named really long and complicated things in order to distinguish one from the other, because they have several wigs that are very similar. But anyways it says in the name, this is a synthetic wig. It is not made of real human hair. Another great thing about dress Lily is that their wigs are incredibly affordable. This one retails at fifteen dollars and sixty-five cents Wow, and this wig is one that I actually use for one of my current cosplays, and that is the reason that I picked it out. So if you take the wig out of its bag out from its little cardboard protector out from the hairnet take out the tissue paper, there's a lot, you get this wig. This wig has a lot of really nice natural kind of curly waves in it. The only thing that I've messed with with this wig are the bangs. It did come with bangs already. They were just very long and kind of side swept I basically centered them and cut them slightly shorter, color wise. This wig is basically black, it's black, but in certain lights it almost looks like a really natural black kind of shade. So, like not jet-black, but with a little bit of brown in it, which I don't mind I actually kind of like that. It looks a bit more believably colored, like that on the top of the wig that you can see here, it does have a small skin top. So if you haven't guessed already, this wig, I actually use for my Aizawa cosplay from boku no hero academia. By this point, you, I don't think you will have seen any of my Aizawa cosplay on my youtube channel, but I've posted photos of it on my Instagram account and it is this wig. So enough of me waving it around on my hand, I will now put the wig on and show you what it actually looks like when it's on somebody's face. Okay, this is what the first wig looks like now. I want to emphasize that I have done like almost nothing to this wig. The only thing I've done is. I took the bangs. They were probably about to hear when the wig first came to me and I cut them shorter in a couple different lengths. I keep them in the middle of my face, and that is all like the rest of it is completely unstyled. All I've done is I've taken a wide tooth comb gone through the wake to just kind of comb out brush out loosen up the curls a little bit. If you wanted to give it a bit more of like a messy look for aizawa's, like scraggly sleep-deprived self, you can do that. Basically, all I did. I actually really like this wig. It'S very cute. It is a cute length. The curls are adorable. If you wanted to style the bangs differently, you absolutely could you could make it kind of like a center part deal, you could do kind of like a side-swept look which is kind of what they did on the website. Also, I've already worn this wig, basically a whole day of filming and also an entire day at a convention and just combing it out with the comb. It still looks this good, so it's going strong. I would definitely recommend it. So the next wig to discuss is this one which, on their website, is listed as the see-through fringe long layered straight synthetic wig. This one is currently priced at $ 22.90. I got this wig because I don't really have currently a lot of just like natural Brown. Longer wigs to just like we're out somewhere, if I happen to be in that sort of mood on a given day, which doesn't happen often, but you never know so when you take this wig out. This is what it looks like. I got. Ta be honest: if I had not looked at their website and seen that they're listing says that this is a synthetic wig, I would have assumed this was real human hair. The reason that I think that are is for a couple reasons: one it's not as shiny as a lot of synthetic wigs are the kind of natural shine and Sheen that the hairs have just looks more real to me. Also, the weight of the wig makes me think it's human hair, because it's a lot lighter says it's a synthetic wig, so I have to do with sooo that they're telling the truth - and this is just a really interesting and nice-looking synthetic wig. I don't know so true to the website. It has bangs right here, but they're not super thick. You could probably take hair from either side and like comb it into the bangs and cut them shorter and make the bangs thicker. If you so wanted to this week has a lot of layers built into it. It has some shorter layers right here and then it has some really really long pieces. So it's got some nice like natural, wave and layering to it. That again gives it a much more believable look. There is, however, one thing about it that I would say, is a dead giveaway, that this is a wig and is not going to be real hair and that's the top of it. So if you look up close, this is the front of the wig right here. This is where the bangs start to happen it. This is sort of the top of the wig, where the part would sort of happen. As you can see, the fibers look kind of crinkled up. They look very crimped at the crown. There'S no fake part, there's no skin top. Here to me with my knowledge of wigs. I see this and I think yeah. That'S that's a wig there's no getting around! That'S a wig which is not a bad thing, so do I think you could still go out and convince some people that this is real hair yeah. I think you probably could, but that's me saying that before I've tried it on so with that being said, I guess I should put it on and we'll see just how natural-looking it really is. I absolutely love the texture and just the weight of this wig like it feels weightless it's. It feels really nice and quite silky. It doesn't particularly want to tangle or anything um. I got ta say, though the bangs are kind of weird it's like. I don't quite know what I need to be doing to like make this more believable. Do I need to like part it somewhere? I don't know well. The bangs are too long, obviously like I would need to cut them, but it's fine, because they do that on purpose, so that you have freedom to kind of stop. However, it is that you want to style it. The layers are very pretty. The waves are also very pretty I mean from a distance. I don't think it's that bad. You tell me through this screen. You tell me if it's weird or not, but I don't think it's. I don't think it's that bad. If I went in and like scrutinized it a bit when it wasn't on my head or like straight up in a mirror and saw what I can do with it, maybe I might be able to find a way to make it look a bit more natural or Something it's a cute hairstyle and I kind of dig the color, but it's not the most believable thing, but I love how light it feels on my head. It'S it's very close to my head, so I feel like that also makes it maybe a bit more realistic. Overall, this wig in like little pigtails, that's adorable, like I just keep wanting to like run my fingers through it, because it's just it's it's just so much fun like it's growing on me, the longer it's on my head, but I do still need to like. I would have to look at the bangs and see if I could like me and tinker with some things, but I do like it um. I don't know if I would ever wear this out, because it's the front, which is what people are gon na see most. I don't know if it's salvageable or not, but I hope so because it's a nice wig and I really like it - the third wig that I'm going to try for you now is this one which on their website, is listed as the long straight synthetic party wig With full bang and on their website, this wig is listed at sixteen dollars and 18 cents. Now the picture on their website is what made me really want to try this wig, because I don't know what it is. Maybe they just have a really cute. Looking mannequin head on their site or something, but she looks good in this way. This way looks like a very rich kind of wine red color. The bangs look like a really good length. They look really nicely textured on the ends it just. It looks like a very pretty. I don't have a lot of red wigs of this shade. When I saw this, I immediately thought it had a very much kind of like a Madame red from Black Butler kind of vibe to it so we'll see it looks rather pretty in the bag. Oh wow, I'm not I'm not ready to take back anything that I've said so far. It'S too soon to tell I haven't, put it on my head yet, but look how shiny this is to some people. They might see a shiny, wig and think ooh. Pretty that's exactly what I want with my personal preference, my personal taste. I don't like wigs that are too shiny because they to me they read as very synthetic looking, but again, that's just my preference. It is not necessarily a bad thing. It is all due to personal opinion: it's very silky. It'S not! It does not want to tangle right now. These fibers feel really good in the picture. The wig is very straight. It'S got a little bit of bag hair right here on the side, where it's kind of got a bit of a wave going on because it's been sitting in a bag for a while, but I think with a blow dryer and like a barrel brush. I think we could easily fix that. So here are the bangs in the front which look really cute. I think they might be a tad bit long, but that's nothing. I can't fix with a bit of scissors. It'S fine here's, the top of the wig. It actually has a skin top with kind of like a built in middle part, behind the bangs, which I actually think is really cute. I don't have a lot of wigs that are designed this way, so I'm kind of excited to see what it looks like on, because I hope it looks as cute on me as it does this mannequin head on their website. Let'S put this on and we'll see how she looks. This is what this looks like. Is it shiny, oh yeah, all right shiny? Is it cute? I think it could be. I need to straighten this with, like some heat or something real fast and like see. If that makes it look any like better or different in any way, the bangs are too long to like. Let hang down in front of my face, but I think it could be super cute. It just needs a little bit of TLC. I wanted to show you what it looks like just out of the bag, not bad even just by itself, but I want to like make it like super straight and see what happens. I'Ve blasted this way with a little bit of heat from a blow-dryer just to straighten out any of the like major waves and kinks in the wig. The little part at the top is still adorable. I think the length is really cute the bangs. I will definitely need to cut shorter if I ever want it to wear this out and I'll have to test out some other D shining methods to see. If any of them work, I will say the cap size of this wig is really strange at first I set it to the same tightness as I did the other wigs that all fit fine, and this one felt like kind of lumpy like there was a lot Of extra space like it was getting scrunched, maybe so I loosened it and I put it back on, but the same issue is still happening, so I guess this wig is just made differently it's of a different size or something which I don't think you can see When it's on my head, but I feel it so if you have longer hair, maybe that you need to put up inside of your wig cap before putting this week on, I wouldn't worry about it, because this wig has plenty of room. So last but not least, I decided to try out a lace front from dress Lily, but this one looks kind of cute and I've seen other people really rock this color. So I'm just curious to see if I can pull it off honestly. This is just kind of like a self experiment for me, but this wig, which is this kind of like apricot peachy, pink color. I don't know what to call it. This one on their website is called the medium side. Bang straight bob lolita, lace, front synthetic wig. So again, another synthetic wig this one, because it is a lace front, it is priced considerably higher than the other wigs and it costs forty eight dollars and forty eight cents which to give you some context, because I've done a lot of lace fronts before this is A cheap lace frame relative to a lot of other sites and companies out there that make lace front wigs 48 dollars and 48 cents is not a lot to spend on a lace front like you're lucky to get it that cheap. Even if you have like to discount codes on other websites we'll see if this price is like a steal to get like a really good lace, front wig - or maybe it's a case of you - get what you pay for. So, let's open it up and see what this looks like: oh wow. Okay, first of all, I don't know what happened while it was in the bag, but it looks a little like it came out of like a hurricane, oh okay, let me explain my noises um. First thing: I've noticed besides hurricane hair, this lace is dark, which for me, who is a ghost, is a really not good thing. This is what the lace looks like and if you put that over like my hand, it looks, like my hand, is like wearing sunglasses or something. This lace is probably not going to match me at all and you're going to be able to see it. Now. It'S not the end of the world, because I know that you can bleach lace, front lace, a lot of the time which can help rescue them. If it's not matching your skin tone. If I ever wanted to wear this wig out somewhere, I would probably have to do that which I've never done, but YouTube tutorials exist for a reason, so you can bet I'll be looking up some of those the cap construction on the inside of the wig. I'M not against, I don't hate it um, it's pretty good. It has three combs sewn onto the inside of it, which is really good for keeping it on your head. It has one here in the front which would go right here, and it also has two on the sides. Let'S talk about shine, that's pretty good. Actually, I wouldn't say this is like any like drastically more shiny than other synthetic lace front, wigs that I've really tried in the past so on the website. They have this wig parted on the side. Instead of the center front, where this one is, it looks like you can, you could shift the part anywhere kind of along the front hairline. If you wanted to this week, is also depicted as being extremely straight on their website, and it is not. It'S got bad hair, which is not surprising, so this would probably need a flatiron, but that is okay, and that is something we can do, I'm so nervous about this lace. Color. So forgive me I'm about to put this on and trust me. It'S probably not gon na look very natural because there's gon na be like a shaded dark strip on my hairline there's nothing. I can do about that right now, but if you are not as pale as I am, and you want this color hair, this might be the fix front. For you also a thing to note about this lace. Front wig is when I followed the link on their website. This wig is unfortunately, currently out of stock. So, if you end up wanting this wig, you may have to wait a bit for them to restock it or to come out with like another version of it. I don't know exactly when that will be, but yeah just just a heads up - and here is the last wig the lace front I got ta say I expected the lace to be more obvious than it is, which is a good sign. I don't mind the color on me. I think it maybe isn't my best color for a wig, but it's not bad. Once again, I've applied a little bit of heat with a blow-dryer on this, but I think it honestly just needs some really quick passes with a straightener, because the ends are still wanting to like flip up everywhere. It'S a cute way. To be honest, the cap feels better on this one than the last one. It doesn't feel too heavy. It'S pretty sturdy, thanks to the little combs that are helping to keep it in place. Part looks pretty cute, it's a pretty cute wig. Actually so I got ta say uh forty eight dollars and forty eight cents for this baby worth it. The fibers feel good. I like that. It'S not too shiny. It feels thick, but not too heavy or dense on my head. I'M actually really happy with this, but anyway. That concludes our four wigs from dress Lily review video. Thank you guys so much for watching.
