Hey everybody welcome back to taz's wig closet at wig studio. One today is going to be a fun day, we're going to reflect and take a look back on 2021, i have selected my favorite styles from 13 different brands, we're going to check out all of them plus at the end, i'm going to reveal my top pick For 2021, coming up all of the featured wig styles that i'm going to reveal today, i have purchased with my own funds. Today i am going to put up my favorite styles, my top pick from each of the different brands that came out with new styles in 2021, so just keep in mind that these were all styles that were released during the year 2021. So i'm not going back further than that, and these are just my opinion only now. Some of these i no longer have the wig available to show you live, but i will go ahead and put up a previous clip of those particular styles, so we can discuss them briefly and you'll get a really good look at them. So this is the first one that i'm going to show you today in my top picks, and this one is drum roll, please. This is jon renau's julian light in the color 12 fs 12.. Now jon renau has come out with some new styles of this year, and, but particularly, i really liked this one. This julianne light julianne first of all, is one of my favorites anyhow of the jon renau line just of all time, and i really enjoyed the improvements that they've made to this cap. They really did capture the kind of technology. I think that we're all looking for, which is a little bit of lighter cap materials. Honestly, this feels just like a a second skin. It'S just so incredibly light. Now. As you know, julianne is a completely hand-tied style anyway. So it's going to be super realistic. It'S so comfortable and easy to wear. It features a lace front, a full single monofilament top and then a hand tied cap. All the way around and some of the new technology is that there's just using lighter weight materials and their lace front on all of their light collection runs ear to ear, which i really enjoy, that extra expansion on the lace front. That will really make it nice for updos and away from the faces styles ponytails um. So again that runs ear to ear and it wraps around the ear tab. The fiber is extremely lightweight. It'S super soft silky and fine baby. Fine. In fact, the density is light as well. The other thing i'm noticing between this and the julianne regular is that it has a little bit of a lower profile, there's not as much fiber. It'S a much less density and it's a little slimmer to the head. So this just looks very, very natural in terms of density lace, front, of course, the hand tied cap, and this is why the julienne light has made my number one pick for any new releases from jon renau in 2021. This next week, style comes from a brand that i just recently discovered in 2021. So i'm not exactly sure if this was a new release overall in 2021, but it was new to me. I have recently launched a series on the wig pro brand and this is joy from the wig program. This is my favorite of those that i have explored so far and it deserves a really nice review on my top picks for 2021.. Again, this is joy in the color 826 60 hs 12.. The wig pro brand has really impressed me this year with their style designs with their cop construction. I feel like it's really nice quality for the price and they're colors, i'm just in love with lots of layering of color, it's very dimensional and believable. First of all, i really believe that this style is super flattering and affordable for the cap features. Joy features that six and a half inch six and a half to seven inch piece right there at the front, and it just kind of swings back into the style. It has a little bit of lift and contour there where it separates at the part. It has. This lovely brushed out loose beach wave, and i just think it's universally flattering for all face shapes i particularly like a long style that has a nice manageable fringe. It just makes it ultimately more wearable. For me now. Joy does feature a lace front and a full monofilament top. I have joy in three different colors. This one is my favorite by far beautiful dimensional blonde, it's rooted next we're going to talk about the brand estetica designs. Estetica came out with a group of styles in 2021 to accommodate some of their more petite headed customers. Like me um, and they came out with four different petite styles, i had the pleasure of reviewing one called berlin in the color 14 rh1488 and i will definitely throw up a clip here of that no longer have the style um, but i really enjoyed the the Style overall, which i love, is very similar, if not exact, to the avalon by estetica, it just features a little bit of a smaller cap. One thing i've realized, though, even with her petite caps, i've had to cinch in the adjusters as far as they can go to accommodate my petite average circumference. So even their petite styles are running more average and their average are running large. There'S a lot of stretch and room in most of the estetica caps, but again i'm just super grateful that they made a very popular style, four of them, in fact, in more of a petite style cap. So i really enjoy the beach wave look of the uh petite berlin and the the little bit of fringe there. I think it's just overall a very flattering style, and this is why it made my top pick for estetica from 2021. This next style was my top pick from noriko from 2021. I guess i have just been a little bit less impressed with noriko and rene of paris this year in terms of their new releases. Again, that's just a personal viewpoint, but i did find one that i absolutely loved. The style is meadow by noriko shown in the color champagne r. Now, if you recall my video review of this style, when i first got it, this was in the color desert sand. R - and i think i shared with you inside of the video that i really had wished - i bought it in the new seashell blonde are which i had on another noriko style, and when i went back into order, the seashell blonde r in this style, it was Out of stock already, so i missed my opportunity for the seashell blonde in on this style, but the champagne r is also really pretty it's a nice cool platinum blend on a darker root. So the reasons why i adore this style. First of all, it's no fuss! No muss it's just your standard cap, noriko um, the bangs are about three and a half to four inches they're nicely out of the way um. I really love just the carefree look and design of this angled bop straight bob style. I think the layering was very thoughtfully done and it's just i love this. This is a big deal for me. It'S just super wearable, there's enough permatease that i can kind of get the lift that i like you know i can do a series of ear tucks. I can wear square bands with it, there's just so much. I can do with this style, and i just love it. It'S just kind of me. It'S my personality. These are the kind of straight styles that i really like, those that have some really nice layering that are manageable and easy to wear, and i feel like this style is maybe just a little overpriced for what you get, which is a basic cap design, but the Style is just right and as of the date of this filming, you still get the automatic thirty percent off at checkout at wave studio, one for all noriko styles, so that does make it a little more affordable. So again, this is my top pick from noriko meadow and champagne are so i'm going to remain in my meadow. While we talk a little bit about my favorite pick from rene of paris for 2021, now rene of paris has come out with a ton of styles and lots of different sub lines. You'Ve got your muse collection. You have your orchid collection, you have the alexander collection and then you just have your old-fashioned norika, aura rene of paris, um high fashion line, and so while i like some of the styles, there was just something about those that i explored this year, that it just Wasn'T really crazy about so i selected as my favorite, the jocelyn by rene of paris. Jocelyn is a little draws, a little bit of polarity and opinion just because there's such a huge variance from style to style. The piece that i had um was super voluminous really wavy. I mean it was wavy on the top. It was wavy at the temple. There is no way i could have made that style. Look like the manufacturer's photo, but i do enjoy the concept of it. A voluminous, curly short bob is definitely up my alley and i really appreciated having that joslyn. Now i no longer have that style and when the time is right, i'm going to get it in my favorite blonde um, because i did really enjoy it. My only concern is that if i do order it in my favorite blonde, is it going to be the same or is it going to look different because there's such a variance, so that's always a concern. A jocelyn is my favorite pick for renee of paris from 2021. Next up is my favorite pick for new releases in 2021 from ellen villa. I know you were thinking. This was wreck how welch, but it's ellen, villa's a claw, and this was released last spring um. It looks eerily familiar because it's nearly identical to the raquel welch's editor's pick in particular the editor's pick elite uh. That'S there's a four and a half inch bang it's about 12 to 13 inches. Overall, it has a nice wavy loose so yeah when i first bought this out of the box like that gosh they made a mistake. This is raquel welch's editor's pick, but i think you'll find that uh there might be a ton of brands, but many of the brands are owned by the same parent company and they can often times shift and exchange colors and things. The a cloth is made from heat friendly. This is a heat friendly style by ellen villa. I don't have a whole lot of experience with the heat friendly fiber by ellen villa. All i can tell you is that it looks acts and feels exactly like the raquel welt editor's pick, which is also heat friendly. The fibers are almost identical to that. So having no that knowledge, i know that you're going to have to detangle the nape after time ever after each time that you wear it and maybe maybe give it a little extra tlc, because those heat friendly fibers are just a little more prone to damage. But back to the style, it's absolutely stunning, i love it. I was so excited to have it. Is it better than my editor's pick? No, i don't think it is um. Now it is a what they consider a partially hand tied cap. It features a lace front, a full single monofilament top and then there's some integrated wefting, which i believe is maybe just partially hand tied throughout the cap. It feels good i was able to make an adjustment that kind of fit my head. Although i think on this piece, i had to adjust it fairly considerably. It fits like a raquel welch, actually, which they run a little bit large and they're stretchy. My favorite top pick for gabor in 2021 is the premium luxury. I recently reviewed this style um, it's absolutely gorgeous, i love it and if it was in a color that i thought i would wear, i probably would have kept it because it just really is very. Very wearable with that four and a half inch bang, all of that beautiful layering, it's kind of short to mid length, um, the wispy fiber. The razor cut makes it nice and modern, and it's not too big and full with just a little bit of permatease or no permatease at all actually, and i really really loved that style so again that gabor premium luxury is my favorite top pick for gabor for 20. 21. So next up, it's really hard to believe that this style was released in 2021. It just feels like it's been with me forever. I reach for it a lot. It is one of my favorites. This is belletress's. Delgona 16. beltress has been cranking out. The new styles and they're super flattering very mindful in their layering uh and their density um super luxurious, fiber, beautiful colors, i'm just really enamored with brand in general, and in particular this delgona 16.. It just feels like they took a style like columbia and sort of stretched out those layers a little bit to make it 16 inches long. What i love most is just the way it flatters the face so that first layer um just really flatters the face. There'S a little bit of contour off of the lace front. This is dargona 16 in champagne, with apple pie, um love, this color, just a touch kiss of warmth to it, but overall a beautiful light. Blonde! That'S super flattering now: the root on this is just a light brown. Sometimes i see a spicier caramelly note to the color application on this particular one. It'S done just perfectly. I love the shattered beach wave. I love the fact that it's a little bit of a light density compared to uh similar styles and other brands, and i actually wore this one to my son's graduation party. I wore the julianne by jon renau to his graduation ceremony last may, but then i wore this to the party that we had for him. So i just loved i get so many compliments and super flattering. Don'T you think i own this one in four colors, i own it in champagne, with apple pie, butter, beer, blonde, british milk, tea and rose gold. So this is my top pick and it was really hard to choose by belletress for 2021.. So my top pick from envy for 2021 is the jordan style um. I had it in two colors light blonde and lighter red. I got ta tell you, i really love that lighter red. I thought it was really spectacular in terms of color. I also like the little bit of a looser curl pattern on that particular jordan and in fact i think that if the one in light blonde would have had the same exact curl pattern as the one in lighter red, i probably would have kept them. But i no longer have those styles, but among all of the new releases, by envy that jordan style was my favorite. Of course it's right up my alley with all of that beautiful curl. It has a lace, front left, monofilament part. It has permatease lots and lots of volume, but a super cute style, so thank you envy for producing the jordan style for 2021, so this next style i have reviewed it, but i have not edited and posted the review yet uh. This one is my favorite release by raquel welch for 2021, and i believe this one was only available for online sales. This is well played, and i'm showing it to you in the color uh rl1688. Well played is a long straight style with tons of layering. More of a rough cut, kind of texture, there's a lot of a modern point cut along those layers which just really exaggerates that layering makes it look really super modern, and i think it's really flattering and the well played is a lace front left, monofilament side part. So it is about 18 inches, it does feather nicely back into the style and i just used a little heat from my hand to create a little bit of lift and contour. But i'll save a lot more of that detail for the review. But now that i have on this raquel welch's well played. I do now want to talk about my favorite tressallure style, which is you guessed it? The picture perfect and i'll throw up some footage here in the color 3330, a beautiful, beautiful tri-blend of some light medium and dark auburn shades, it's brilliant. I featured it in my fall. Colors closet tour, but again you'll, see all of the beautiful layering very similar to well played it's kind of got that notch cut on the ends, making it super modern and wispy looking, and it is also heat friendly. Now this one features a lace front and full monofilament top. The cap construction is super. Well done, it is very high quality, but it is very, very large. I could not get a good fit on that trez salore's picture perfect. It was just way too large for my head, even with maximum adjustment. So i'm gon na leave on the well plate to talk to you about my next favorite style uh by henry margu and henry margu did come out with some really beautiful styles in 2021, and i believe my favorite was the willow style and again i just fell In love with the beautiful beach wave of willow, it was in the color, 10 6 13 gr, which is my absolute favorite, but you'll see that it is a long kind of a loose beach wave style. But it has a very manageable fringe and it does have some a lace front and a beautiful monofilament feature. So it is very nice and realistic. It'S a lot of hair. It is super flattering, but i just didn't really feel like. I would be wearing it very often often enough to hold on to the style, so my top pick uh by henry margu for 2021 is the willow style. So it's hard to believe we're at number 13, already right, my 13th brand, that i want to discuss my favorite style. This is amores emmy and the color spring honey tea. Now i uh i purchased this one and i wasn't real sure about it, but i absolutely fell in love with it, in fact, from amore. I just wasn't crazy about a lot of their new releases this year, but this one really hit the spot for me. I really do like in this style to the jon renau's ignite. However, this one has a lace front and a double monofilament top super realistic and it lays a little easier than the jon renau there's not so much unnatural proof at the top, because it doesn't have as much permatease as that one. But it's almost the same exact style. It'S a short little polished, angled bob cut, so the dimensions are almost the same as ignite as well. It'S got that longer front at about eight inches about a five and a half inch kind of silhouette, poofy silhouette and that tapers down to a two and a half inch nape. There is some permatease on emmy, but not as much as on the ignite. If you remember in my review of this style when it came out of the box, the bangs just wanted to flop right in the face, and i thought oh, my gosh. What am i going to do? My usual friction from the heat of my hand: maneuvers didn't work, so i did take a hair dryer to it, just to give a little bit of lift there at the front and to help it move back into the style so that it stays out of the Face so this is my top pick from amore for 2021. So are you ready for the big reveal how many of you are out there guessing, which is my favorite style of all the brands this year? I bet you can guess just because i talk about this brand a lot i i present a lot of styles uh from this brand and i'm allowed because i get to enjoy my wigs too there's a lot of times where i will purchase wigs or present wigs. That i probably won't wear just so that i can give you a good look at them, but in this case this particular brand just knocked it out of the park. My favorite top pick for 2021 among all of the brands, is so it's really hard not to give this away when i was demonstrating it just a little bit ago. This is belletress's delgona 16 and i have it in again four colors and i thought i might go ahead and show you all four colors today, since this is my favorite top pick of all of 2021 among all of the name brand styles, this delgona has captured My heart again, this is the champagne with apple pie, but i thought i might show you the other colors as well, i'm wearing the delgona 16 in the butterbeer blonde. This was my first purchase of this style and that little lift you see there was baked in right from the box, the other ones i had to work on a little bit more, but butterbeer blonde. It'S hard to tell which one i like better, the champagne or the butterbeer, the champagne. Just i don't know something about that. Particular color application just really appeals to me, but this butter beer is spectacular as well, and i had an inkling from the beginning that this rose. Gold would look amazing on delgona 16. I was not wrong. I just have a video. I just put up a video on this to show you the difference between the rose gold and the dusty rosa, which is another fashion pink by belletress. This one is so fun looks beautiful with the jean jacket too. Doesn'T it. This is the british milk tea on the dagona 16.. Now this one didn't have as much curl uh as much separated curl and it didn't have any baked in lift at the front. So i had to add that, after i did the review and i'm just as in love with this piece as i am the rest, i think this color is beautiful, which is a new release color for 2021 as well.
