Don't Forget To Live Your Extra Life.

Hi beautiful today we're watching some people who haven't cut their hair in over five years. Chop it off this video is by penny tover. I love my hair and it took me three years to grow it to my tailbone whoa. Her hair is beautiful. I mean i'm excited to see the change, but like her hair is really pretty and i'm kind of going to be sad to see it go. I got to the point where i was more frustrated with it than enjoying it. Yeah detangling the deep conditioner waiting eight hours for it to dry honestly guys. I had my hair down to here once and i needed to get rid of it. I was like this is too much for even a hairstyle to handle a hairstyle, i'm a hairstylist, not a hairstyle brad. The real reason that i wanted to cut my hair was to cut off my past self after eight years. I can finally say that this is the most confident insecure that i have ever felt so for me, cutting off my hair symbolizes and embodies all of the change and growth that i've accomplished. I love that i'm even more pumped to see the transition from the long hair to the shorter hair. Now, oh, it's gon na be so good. I'M gon na be chopping off over 12 inches of hair, but apart from that, i'm actually going to donate it. I feel like when she cuts her hair. It'S gon na just open her up like it's just gon na you know, show her body more. It'S gon na show her face more. I just feel like it's gon na overall, be a really good thing for her. I would love love to see her with like a really layered short haircut and have her curls, be like super big, oh and a bang. That would look so good. First, we put my hair into braids so that we could chop off as much as possible all right. Okay, tell me when you're ready, oh she's, gon na, do it herself. This is even better. Oh she's, going short wow! Okay, oh wait! Oh sh tell him! It'S gone. Okay. This is a big deal. You guys, i know it's just hair but like this is a big step. This girl had this long hair for over five years, like i think she said eight years, like it's been a long time. I mean this is a huge change. Oh my god, the adrenaline in my body right now. Do it do it do it? Oh, i love this feeling. Oh yeah show me the braids show me the face. Oh, my god, i'm just jealous, because i want to have this feeling like i want to grow my hair out for eight years, just to cut it and have like a day where you're, just like whoa, like that adrenaline like there's, nothing like chopping all your hair Off and then feeling just so alive after it already looks so cute. Oh, this looks so good. 18 inches were cut off. That'S a lot of inches girl, oh my god. It looks so cute so now she's getting a professional cut and i cannot wait to see what they end up doing and it looks like they're giving her kind of like a rounded layered shaggy bow cut moment and i'm here for it it's giving wow wow. She looks like a different person. For me, this is more than just a haircut. It'S just me further, confirming who i am it's a really big deal for me. You know i've been growing and changing so much. I have really really grown into my skin and who i am within my confidence and you look phenomenal. Oh, i'm so excited for you, you look so cool and so much more grown up now and just like mature, and i feel like this was such a good thing for you to do. I can just see you you're glowing you're, so much happier, i'm so excited for you yay. This video is by becca summer. I'M going to attempt to cut my own hair. As you can tell. My hair is pretty like long just from this bun um yeah. It'S uh really long. This is not even five years ago. This is like 10.. This is what your hair is so long, and what we're going to do today is we're going to do with this. No, maybe another one or another, one they're taking off a lot, and this is what i have oh. This is huge. We have a mirror air cutting scissors super long clippy and i bought those rat tail combs. What we're going to do right now is make the initial cut, which is going to be kind of short. This is going to be so difficult to do. I mean she has so much hair like a lot a lot of hair and doing this bob on your own hair. With all this layering involved, it's gon na be really really difficult and i'm picturing a very jagged, not great cut. Coming out of this, i feel like this isn't gon na be great, and i'm gon na put it in like pigtails, so where this lies, i think i want to make it like that length. Oh wow, we're gon na stick to this and then we'll like thin. It out later - and i kind of want it to be an a-line style. Hopefully you can see this in that angle too. Okay, i know that's high, but i'm going to just drag it down, so i believe she's following my haircut tutorial and she's doing exactly how i've taught you guys how to do it at home, so it should turn out pretty good. I mean she's not quite doing the back exactly how she's supposed to, but the sides look good. I think i want it a little bit lower just to be safe. You know that looks pretty good. Oh no wait! She is doing the back correctly. Oh, oh! This is gon na be cool. This is gon na, be great, we're doing it. The big chop do it do. I cannot wait to see the outcome of this. I'M so excited. I'M just gon na bring two sides forward. Take a deep breath. We got this. I really hope this is in focus, because i only have one shot just get rid of it. We don't want to see it anymore. The long hair thing is cute but, like i just feel like you're gon na rock this bob so much more right. Now the hair is definitely wearing you. There'S a full-on jacket like a full-on puffer jacket on your head. It'S just hair! Oh no! Going back now! Oh my god, wow we haven't got to like the big chunky sections. Yet we're gon na go on this one. This one's going to be like a hot minute to get through. You know no. Turning back, oh, i want to see the outcome so bad, oh god! This is so much more. Oh, my god holy, give me that i wan na make hair extensions wow that looks so much better than this side. That'S wild, okay, so she's bringing it up a lot shorter. Yes, yes, yes, yes, i wanted it to be shorter. I really did i feel like it was two in between like long and short and like, let's bring it up, and i feel like she's doing a really accurate good job for doing this to herself it's kind of actually crazy to watch and she's adding layering. Yes, guys layering is so important, i'm so sick of people not layering their hair. It'S so important! You got ta get those layers in there elsa's just gon na look like a blob like a really like heavy on the bottom blob. I feel like she would look sickening with some curtain bangs with like a really choppy layered, textured style, um and even like a color. I feel like she could do balayage moment some really bright pieces around the face like it would just change up her whole. Look. Oh and i love a good change - ah whoa, so i love it first off and it just feels so nice here hold on. Let me get my hair, the legend, oh my god. Oh my god. I can't believe that was attached to her head. You can't even see it. It looks like it's about like a foot and a half so yeah, i don't really know what else to say. It'S shorter and i like it. This cut looks so good. I could cry. Oh, it looks amazing wow, i'm obsessed with this cut on her it three billion times better than what she had before she actually like has a hair style now and isn't just like wearing her hair or her hair wearing her i'm so happy for her. It looks incredible, couldn't have asked for a better result if you've always wanted to chop off your hair, but are too scared to do it like just do it? It'Ll grow back and like you might have a mental breakdown for a day for like two days or two weeks, but the mental breakdown will end and your hair will grow back out if you hate it, but like honestly, it's just a fun change. Do it? Stop being a that's all for today, guys make sure you check me out everywhere else here all my social media handles. You can also check out my haircare, my hair color line linked down below or go to xmondohair.com. That is all for today. Thank you. So much for watching don't forget to live your extra life and i'll see you next time. Bye!

Penny Tovar: Thank you so much for your kind words It truly was an AMAZING feeling to chop it off. I really wanna dye it now, but idk what to do. Tell me what to get and I'll do it!

I: That first girl is absolutely stunning and she looks great with that hair cut, cutting your hair off like that can really make changes in your mindset, and she looks so happy with it

XEHLI G: HER HAIR IS SO PERFECT

Cécile Cavasos: Brad would have lost his mind over me - I cut my hair for the FIRST TIME EVER three years ago (I was raised extremely religious and we were not allowed to cut our hair at all, not even dead ends,) when I was 27. It was down to my knees and I'm fairly tall - it was probably over 4 feet of hair. It felt like I'd finally shed the last piece of old skin and I could finally be myself. Turns out my hair has a really nice wave to it, but was always too heavy to show. It's never going to be longer than my shoulders ever again and my neck rejoices!

Emily Jane: Oh my god, she looks SO beautiful with the short curly hair I remember the first huggge chop I did. It felt SO FRESH. I'm literally growing it out again just to feel that fresh chop again!

ecstaticblues: You gotta check out Penny’s channel. She is so amazing. Been following her for a while and all the hair care, damn. Not as long as her’s but length does become a chore

Chanlynnn: Brad is so respectful and helpful in these videos <3 honest respect.

Richard Layton: We need to applaud how the second lady probably gave herself one of the most detailed diy haircuts. Did an amazing job.

z: HER HAIR IS SO PERFECT

naomiruthsmith: the first girl looks AMAZING with short hair! that cut, those curls, omg it takes me about a year to grow my hair from my shoulders to my tailbone (it grows incredibly fast when I actually take care of it and don't colour it or use heat for styling) and it was so liberating when it was finally safe to actually get a proper cut after not being able to in 2020 and most of 2021. like, I literally didn't have it cut between February 2020 and August 2021, and I had so much hair. I legit felt like a whole new person once it was shorter again

Emily: I just cut my sister’s hair for her after she hadn’t gotten it cut in over 5, I used your tutorial and it actually looks pretty good considering I have no experience! So thank you for indirectly making my sister’s hair look healthy again

Brianna Cotter: I love what the first girl said was amazing. My friend is going to cut his hair short soon to rid the bad vibes that occurred during his relationship. Im so excited for him.

Mad About Skin: Hi Brad... Im loving your recent content so much.. Your such an inspiration for us fellow content creators so keep up the good work.. Love you x

Donna Gomez: Brad: It’s literally just hair, it’ll grow back… just do it… Brad two minutes before: THAT’S like TEN YEARS of growth

Pinky LaRue: They both look great. In my experience, a lot of men have a long hair fetish, and I think that keeps a lot of women from cutting their hair. We're told that short hair isn't feminine. It's exasperating.

Furious Fox: I DID THIS A FEW WEEKS AGO AND IM SO HAPPY I DIDDDD my hair was like over 30 inches long and I cut about 20 and donated it. I now have a cute Bob with curtain bangs!!

Ben Smith: I love this. I ended up chopping and donating my hair (passed the ginger hair to another soul-catcher lol) when I came out as trans and started wearing my hair how I actually wanted to, and I'm so excited for them ❤ A new look is such a powerful thing

Heather Nelson: I think both these girls deserve a PR kit of XMondo hair care products!!!!!!!

Charlene Hess: Awesome video Brad!! Also Penny looked so cute with the shorter hair!!

Clara -My New SAX Video Vlog: Hi Brad... Im loving your recent content so much.. Your such an inspiration for us fellow content creators so keep up the good work.. Love you x

o k: I remember that feeling many years ago. I use have super long hair all throughout my teens. I finally got sick of it when I was reaching adulthood so I cut it super short. I don't think I could go back. I think it's really important to explore what you like when it comes to your hair and not just keep your hair long just because it's the standard. I don't understand how some parents don't let kids have fun with it as well. Luckily my parents never forced me to keep it long, I was completely my own decision. I've kept my hair short for the last 10 years and I still like it.

Sara Webb: Okay Penny Tovar went from pretty girl with pretty long hair to straight up GORGEOUS SULTRY WOMANNNN!! I gasped at the reveal, such a beautiful transformation. Also I’m a big fan of her sister Salem Tovar - y’all should go check out her channel too

Isabel: As someone who cut their hair a few years ago from waist length to shoulder length then straight to short undercut (which i currently still have), this video sure recreated that crazy adrenaline!

the best dolphin apple: omg i love penny so much! and her sister's commentary videos... I LIVE FOR THEM!!!

Emma Mccoy: Penny is AMAZING!!! This is soooo cool that you reviewed her transformation ❤ Now you have to bring her on to get some color

Amber Donoho: Curly Penny!! She is awesome She actually cut her hair even shorter and it looks so great! Her channel is so worthwhile to check out, too, because she is so funny, but seriously so down to earth and real ♥️

Stephanie Haynes: Wow, the first girl actually made me cry. Not because of the haircut, I just honestly enjoy seeing people be that happy. It's really rare these days. I'm happy for her!

Tiff Tiff❤️: HER HAIR IS SO PERFECT

JP: I love Penny! ❤️ She looks so good with the short curly hair.

Desiree Maturo: When I was 13–okay my parents made me keep my hair long my whole life. Like butt length. When I was 13 they decided I could cut it off. I got a super punk rock SHORT cut, spiky and short. I came home with my mom and my dad said “wow, now I have two sons.” I’ll never forget that. Good for her for the change ❤️❤️❤️

Heather McFarland: It’s been a year for me because of the pandemic. I am going nuts with my long hair. I could not imagine how hard it would be to handle after five years of not cutting it

WildeChild83: Brad! I love your color line: I’m loving the deep purple and deep pink right now. I had virgin, black, curly hair. After watching you all through the pandemic, I used: L’Oréal bleach (um, it took a whole pound), 40 developer, sectioned out my hair, and the hubby was roped into this DIY, and he painted the bleach on and applied foils. I waited to apply to my roots, but after three separate days of bleaching, my little baby hairs decided to break off. It’s fine. It worked out beautifully. EVERYONE is obsessed with my color, and I give everyone your social media contacts. OH! Almost forgot! Electric Rain. That stuff is magical and it smells delicious. Thank you so much for your help and inspiration.

Lisa Chaffin: So fun! I just did this myself! I hadn't had my hair cut in 3 years. It was down to the top of my pants. I had about 18" cut off and lots of layers added and highlights! It's so freeing and so much lighter!

Stella Jacobson: I've lost almost half my hair the past year due to stress. But what has kept my hopes up that the thickness of my hair will get back since it's still growing. I'd like to feel that freshness of a huge cut but I still really love my hair as it is

Lauren Matthews: Love this! My hair grows RAPIDLY. I grow my hair out to my backside then I cut it to just below my shoulders every 3 or so years to donate it. It feels amazing and knowing that it's helping someone else is a great feeling :) currently at backside length so it's due a chop!

Doll face: I was over weight and used my waist length hair as a shield. I lost the three stone I needed to, celebrated by having my hair cut to my collarbone and I can’t lie, I’m growing it back. I’m so jealous of my hair looking back now, highlighted but really healthy (or at least looked it!)

Megan ✨ Tαρ мє t0 ѕєχ ω!тн мє 🔞: Oh my god, she looks SO beautiful with the short curly hair I remember the first huggge chop I did. It felt SO FRESH. I'm literally growing it out again just to feel that fresh chop again!

Dani 🔥T[A]P Me!! to Have [𝐒]𝐄𝐗 With 𝐌𝐞: Oh my god, she looks SO beautiful with the short curly hair I remember the first huggge chop I did. It felt SO FRESH. I'm literally growing it out again just to feel that fresh chop again!

Anna Brock: Love the encouragement Brad I've been thinking about cutting my hair, but I've been coloring it (with xmondo) for the past year almost exactly so I've been letting my natural hair grow out and coloring the mids and ends. I think this spring I'll get a few inches off though

Rae J.H.D.: Curly hair gal- I know how much work that must have been and I can’t imagine the amount of relief that must have given chopping all of it off. You go girls!!!!! PS brad please make a video about undercuts. Seriously considering one and I need some haaaaalp

sammbnails: Wow, both of those transformations were really stunning!!! Now I wanna get my haircut

Kelly Tomlinson: These videos gave me life. I hate super long hair; I feel like it just… as Brad said… It wears YOU, not the other way around. Once you hit 30, it definitely ages you. So many people have an unhealthy attachment to their long hair and literally hide behind it. Both these cuts came out AMAZING! Both ladies are stunning in their afters. THIS WAS SO GOOD.

Samantha Burd: I loved watching their faces when you cut it off. The best part for me was talking to him about the new exciting things they could do with her hair. It never gets old!

Ada Abeja: I chopped my hair from my butt to my shoulders twice in my life. It took me twice to realize I don't like short hair on me lol Totally love layers, but I like braids more. I love watching others rock the short hair with layers though! If I thought I had the face for it, I'd rock it too.

naumche1: They both turned out great, but the second one really needed the cut. I’ve done the long to short thing, and I love how excited hairdressers get when I tell them to chop it off! I remember one who after confirming with me and seeing that I was ready for the big chop, actually did little excited jumps as she grabbed her scissors! . My hair turned out awesome, and I think the smile on the hairdresser’s face was as big as the smile on my face!

[Jency]-T[A]P Me!! To Have [S]EX With Me: Brad is so respectful and helpful in these videos <3 honest respect.

Sydney Scott: React to big chops where they cut off their relaxed ends to where their curls are growing. So satisfying and liberating to watch

BABY TEARS: LOVE YOUR REACTIONS WHEN IT COMES TO THESE. HOPE YOUR YEAR IS DOING GOOD SO FAR. MUCH LOVE FROM CALI

Moraima13: I can watch Brad Mondo’s videos for hours! I love that he’s not rude at all when things don’t go as expected! He’s so sweet and he is SO HANDSOME I love his style!

狐夢美: I know this feeling. Had my hair down to my mid-back/ass for a long time (longer than the first girl had hers) and I did an undercut (first time shaving my head tbh) and it felt amazing and I've kept it ever since lol

tastymedleys: Wow both girls look stunning with shorter hair! I've always loved the feeling of getting rid of a bunch of length and mine never even got that long...can't imagine how much more freeing it must feel for them. Aaand now I feel like having a haircut, but we're on lockdown where I am

Jenevy Lara: I’m doing the opposite for once I’m letting my hair grow! After years of over dying, heat damage, and chopping it off to help with the spilt ends. Finally my hair isn’t frizzy and it’s growing like a weed all because I stopped doing anything but washing it and putting in a braid after a shower and for bed!

Chiara Marker: It is so fun seeing Brad's reaction to the hair lengths of these girls, when you know your own hair is even longer than what they have. xD My hair goes to the back to my knees when I wear them open... *suddenly feels Brad's stare from the US and his urge to chop off my hair*

The Littlest Pika: I cut off my hair a few years ago (it was down to my butt) and it was SO liberating! I had long hair for 18 years and now I have a pixie cut.

shinnie: I love your hair color Brad! Looks stunning on you

Yasmine: Brad, you always heal my anxiety. So thankful for you!!

geekygirlgames: I always find these videos interesting because this is always how I do my hair. I grow it out until it is too long, and I find it hard to wash, brush, and hold in a hair tie. About 2 months ago I did get it cut and it was about 12 inches which I donated. I don't feel a rush when I cut my hair, just relief. It feels lighter and it's way easier to wash and brush out. It had always just been hair to me so I never really see it as a big deal

Cathy Larochelle: Both girls look fantastic! I wish you could've added in Penny's hubby's reaction to the haircut. He couldn't have been more supportive which was amazing to see♥️

Danyelle Jones: I have been following curly Penny for years. It was emotional to watch her cut the hair off.

Britt Danny: After my separation from my ex husband I went to chop my hair off and I actually had a serious break down in the car and then again in the hairdressers chair. Hair is not just something that grows out your head… it really is such a significant part of you and your memories.

Ayla Crissman: I just had my first hair cut in 5 years as well! I chopped it off and am donating it. Waist length to chin, and my hair took over 24 hours to air dry (my hair is very thick and dense). I chopped off about 17”.

Sinead Burns: They both are absolutely so gorgeous! We love a good drastic chop!!

Meow Meow: They look so gorgeous. I cut 5 inches off my hair a few months ago and it was so satisfying.

Lady Snezhinka: Both of their hair is so gorgeous, both before and after. My hair is mid hip length right now, and I'm feeling like a chop is coming. Not yet, but this year perhaps. This only made me want to do it more lol

Laura: I really want to see Brad reviewing heat reactive hair dyes!! Trying them on ms. mannequin!!

Vanessa Rodriguez: The first video you watched was kind of a full circle for me I watched her through her whole curly girl journey and then the drama that she had with all the hair loss and stuff with diva curl and to see her cut her hair and see her curls so prominent it’s just amazing I think it’s kind of your hair off was not just getting rid of her old self but releasing all that baggage that came with publicly outing diva curl for ruining so many peoples hair and honestly I’m so glad that that’s all behind her but the rest of these girls I mean I just did a big job recently to and I know how amazing it felt so yay

Shelbie Spencer: I really needed this video more than you will ever know my hair is done to my butt, and I've been going back and forth with myself about cutting it short so now I'm doing it ❤

WholeLottaTiffy: I went from 5 years of growth of hair down to my butt, cutting off around 20 inches and never really went back. The minute my hair gets to the middle of my back I chop off a ton of length. Then I just started doing some fun stuff to it and it's been so fun! My hair is now always dyed half purple and recently I shaved the under side for fun. So if anyone's scrolling through the comments and is thinking about chopping their hair off, do it!!

Mindy Thompson: I went to my hairdresser and got a pixie cut 2 weeks ago. I had a breakdown a few days later, but now I’m liking it more. I’ve done so much heat damage and just needed a fresh start.

Alyne Sôuza: One of my 22 resolutions: “let hair grows”. Me after watching this: oh well Also Penny is going shorter this month, she’s even considering shaving!!! New react with her will be necessary

KenzieHurlock: I had very long hair, down to the small of my back and I had it professionally chopped off. I followed the shortest front pieces and had the stylist make all my hair that length. It was at about the top of my boobs. Still considered long hair, but for me it was very short. I've kept it around that length for 5 years now. I will never go back super long. As a kid I had very long hair that was constantly tangled because I didn't brush it and I chopped it off when I was about 9 and then I learned to brush my hair and in 7th grade I decided that I wanted long hair again after getting an awful blunt cut. I avoided getting my hair cut because I hated blunt ends for 2 or 3 years. When I was a senior in HS and got my first job my hair got very hot and I'd constantly put it up which isn't my style. I like having my hair down. So I chopped it again.

It's Jessica: first off they're both absolutely stunning and i love the haircuts on them!! it brings out their face shape more, they glow, they just look i'm 16 and 3 months ago i also got a big haircut, i have been growing my hair for 3 years and finally after a lot ,i mean a lottt of thinking i decided to get a haircut, my hair was extremely long, down my butt and i have straight hair, but it was hard to manage it doesn't dry an stuff like that kind of like the second girl. so i got it cut a bit shorter than my shoulder, with some layers ofc, got curtain bangs and died my hair red. everyone was shocked cause i didn't tell anyone i was gonna do that, but everyone was complementing me and that it brought out my face, my personality more and that i was glowing. ngl i had a bit of a mental breakdown for a few days, but it couldn't be undone and i loved it. the hair was donated and i'm happy now and glad i did it it's so much easier to manage and it looks great. so yeah that's my story have a nice day <33

Cal Jacobs: I LOVE Penny and I’m so glad you reacted to her video

Lauryn: the videos today were AMAZING!!! they both look AMAZING! the second girl did soooo so good to have done it on her own!!

jerseytomato100: The second girl has that perfect hair I’ve always wanted..medium textured, thick, full of body and “swing” ❤️ The only way I’ll ever have hair that long is extensions

XxZippy_ZebraxX: I’ve been watching penny for YEARS as she is mainly a curly hair YouTuber who you know teaches you how to take care of your curls. When I saw she cut her hair off I was so happy for her! It looked STUNNING!!

Samantha M.: They look so good i always end up just growing mine back out and by the time it gets below my bra on my back, I'm just feeling blah with it and like the second one where you said "it's like her hair is wearing her " and definitely that's how it kinda feels. I must be going through a midlife crisis but idk whatever, at least I'm not hurting anyone. I finally tried a pixie cut which I always wanted to try and it didn't turn out great but that one was cut by a pro so now I just know we need to figure out what I can live with that works WITH my barely there wave even when I'm having a lazy day and don't want to style too much. I do wish I hadn't tried doing a self wolf cut because it just wasn't where it's at for me and now I have to deal with the layers a while.... but I still just wasn't happy with the LENGTH so I just straight up chopped it when my husband was watching our son and it crazily came out pretty much straight he double checked it for me. So clearly I got a thing going on with not wanting my hair "the same " for too long or something. But it grows SO fast so really a year from now, no one will ever know I had it so short unless I keep chopping. Which, I do intend to.... I just need to figure out how to make it stop flipping under and also go to a damn professional next time

NetiTheYeti: I'm growing my hair out again after going from almost waist length to chin length last march :) I've been down to super short pixie cuts before but I wanna get back to waist length but keep it healthier (I cut it due to PCOS related hairloss last time), I think I can get there in about a year, year and a half :) fingers crossed

Laur Rants: Literally just booked a date with a local salon today for the first time in almost 3 years and im very excited for the amount of hair im going to be chopping off (i'm guessing at LEAST 15 inches). its not my first chop, and I loved my last one, so I am really looking forward to it all being GONE again. Happy New year, to everyone getting that new hair style!

Ashlee Izor: I full on shaved my head last year and it has grown back SO strong! Highly recommend lol

Spooky 'N' Cutey: I've been having a metal breakdown for about 13 months about my hair ! I am 30 and have always always had super short pixie cut or spiked styles from childhood until I turned 16 when I turned 16 I grew it out and got to shoulder length at the longest length ! When I moved away at 18 I decided to grow mine out bare in mind mine was super super short and spiked , I am now 30 now like I said so I left it for 12 years to grow i only ever cut dead ends ! However past 8 months I've been back and forth on trying to bleach it from its auburn brown box dye color to silver platinum and I also wanted to cut my hair to shoulder length, I keep it up in a high bun most the time or high pony as its just way too much hair to deal with ! When down its near my waist and I'm 5ft6" , the last 8 months I've wanted to just go ahead and do it but I've been going back and forth! For one I needed to get my hair from a black box dye to a way lighter tone so I've done two hair color removers which didn't do much over those 8 months and washed it more then I should to try remove more of the dye which it has worked and left me at at least a level 4 or 5 so its helped speed the process up and less damage will be done while bleaching etc .. I know and are fully aware my hair would probably fall out if I was to do it from black box dye ! So I left it 8 months and researched and researched as my hair its the healthiest its been and I want to do this as safely as I can with as minimal damage as I can ! Like I said I know damage won't be an option as it will happen with bleaching regardless but I dont want my hair to fall out ! So I've decided I dont trust anyone orher than myself to do the job ! I've had my hair cut by many many hairdressers and they never ever ever get it right ! So I want to do another color remover to try get 2 more levels lighter from the auburn brown / reddish brown color its quite light and already has my dirty blonde natural color mostly all the way through as I've not boxed dyed it in over a year, but I plan on doing the remover then a 30 vol bleach leaving roots alone completly! Im going to wait two weeks and do a second bleach if needed if not I will spot bleach only the spots that are darker! Then I will go ahead and do the roots last so I dont get hot roots im going to use blondeme bleach as it has a border inside similar to olaplex, then for any other spot bleaches needed after the second one I will only use 20vol developer ! This will all be done over about 2 months period ! When I get the pale yellow I need i will then proceed to tone it ! Before I get hate I will explain i plan to use t18 ! I know I know Brad! Its bad not as good as what people say but I live in the uk and if you think t18 I must be a queen lol ! I've not found one good toner at all for silver hair my sister recently went silver and she used 6 different brands and none of them worked when i say her hair was pale yellow it was pale almost a white already before applying any of them ! We can't get t18 here in the uk unless we get it on ebay so She got t18 and because she wanted a voilet tone to the silver she also ordered wella 050 she mixed 2 parts t18 and half of the bottle of 050 and added 3 parts developer and omg the outcome was amazing ! I think with t18 you need to mix it with other similar tones of toner to get the right shade your looking for for it to work well ! But thats my plan too I want the voilet silver so im going to do t18 + 050 ;) when I get to my ideal color I will then cut my hair i want a shoulder length bob with long layers at front so I would be taking off at least 16 inches of hair my hair isn't that thick so I think it will be way easier to work with compared to thick hair my hair is also naturaly wavy so I think it would suit me in a bob style im just very nervous im starting phase 1 which is color remover next week and the first bleach will be 2 weeks after! The last time I bleached my hair I did a dip dye on the ends and it only took two bleaches from a dark chocolate brown box dye color so im hoping it won't take more than 2 bleaches and 2 at most spot bleaches ! The haircut afterwards will just seal it all and make it look good hopefully as I know after this my hair will be destroyed and will have so much dead ends its unreal! Oh let me also add i have pureplex system too for after all is done and I achieve my color its same thing as olaplex hair treatment but its a different uk brand ! I also have argon hair mask on hand , some fanola no yellow shampoo as I want a good lift to keep my silver voilet tones (i watched the best drug store purple shampoo video) brad said that fanola was too pigmented but if you wanted a good shampoo for silver voilet toned hair it was awesome as it deposited alot of tone ! I also have a dye kit bowl etc gloves some clips to separate some proper hair dresser scissors and thinner sheers ! Some foil for foiling etc and a hair cap for sealing in the heat ! I was quoted £500 over 3 appointments for it be done and if me doing this works it will save me over £350

Brooklyn 716: Both of them look stunning after their cut. ❤

Raven Rose: I wanna grow my hair out just to do this! Happy New Year Brad

Mji X: Both of these women look AMAZING with their new hair cuts! So gorgeous!!!!

Tera Whitaker: I LOVE YOU BRAD!!! I am chopping my long brown hair and going to bright red and LOB tomorrow! You make me so excited to do it!

onelovegirly: Yay!! I love Penny!!! So glad you found one of her videos!!! She's amazing!!!! (The first video)

Emma's plants: The first girl is stunning. The short hair looks AMAZING on her.

louise shaw: Omg that 1st woman looked absolutely stunning with her new hair cut. Well done girl!

Kitty: I laughed so hard at the very end! Brad! Can’t believe you said that! You motivated me to cut my hair today, not cause I was scared but because I’m incredibly lazy. . Thanks!!

Megan Ryan: I always chop my hair off around the same time every year, just to grow it back out and chop it off again in another year. It feels nice to have a fresh, light haircut. I have pretty fine hair as it is, so it just looks and feels way better when it’s shorter. I wish I knew how to layer my hair properly though, because it always has that “blob“ feel that he’s talking about.

ThatPastyIrishGirl: That first girl’s transformation was incredible!

miriam estrada: I’ve cut my hair 18”+ so many times and I love it very empowering

lunarya: 0:20 im at a similar point and ive been contemplating cutting my hair for a while but something was holding me back. this is the sign. thank you Brad,im doing it <3

Andi James: That's how long my hair was last year. I always wanted super long hair until it got like that. My bun and ponytails were so heavy and it took FOREVER to dry and comb etc. I did the same thing as them and whacked it off. It's so nice washing my hair without hurting my neck from how heavy all my wet hair is

Victoria: Yeah, I cut around the same amount off screaming "FUCK THE PATRIARCHY AND SOCIAL BEAUTY STANDARDS" It was very liberating. 10/10 would recommend. FYI, I went around the same length as the first person. I really loved it.

Esther Annalee: My story: I had really long natural blonde hair, and I found myself day after day getting sick of it. Something had to change. My hair was down to my waist, and the haircut I had usually gotten were the same old flat cuts every 6 months. I was getting tired of it being such a hassle and of using the same old hairstyles that bored me to death. I didn't know whether to dye it, cut it, or change it up any other way. About the same time, the trends on tiktok had began that were of hair transformations. I wanted one really bad. But I was afraid of regret. I was afraid of letting my past self go. Long hair had been my pride when I was younger and I had never imagined actually being able to cut it. After seeing the layered short- medium haircuts that rose to the top of my feed, I became obsessed. But if i got one, which haircut would I get? Since I am into a lot of sports, I didn't want to have really short layers. But before even making my selection, my friend had asking if I ever would let her cut my hair. So I asked her if she wanted to, and she cut a solid 7 inches off! I was so glad and refreshed that it was gone. I felt like I let my past self go, and was entering a new, better season of life. It was amazing. After a couple days I went and got my hair professionally done with face framing pieces, and long layers to go with a cut slightly longer than shoulder length. I haven't regretted it since. If you are thinking about cutting your hair, even after years of maybe not cutting it, GO FOR IT. It is worth it. 100 percent.

Kathleen: My hair was down to my tailbone as well when I decided to cut it. What some people don't understand is, your hair is like a security blanket. I thought I needed it and couldn't live without it being long. But then I cut it to a bob a few years back, and I fell in love with it and haven't thought of my long hair since.

Camila T.: Ive done this when I was 10 brad. A whole bob. I’ve never had my hair longer than shoulder length and am currently growing it out and it’s so long lol
