Hey guys, what's up and welcome back to my channel, I apologize for my appearance, I'm very tired, I'm not wearing foundation. Let'S just move on so today I have a wig review. That is a little bit different from other wig reviews, because there are two wigs from the same company, so I figured I should put them in the same video. The company at hand is costs wigs. Now, if you follow me on Instagram or even just on here, you'll know that I recently reviewed one of their wigs. It'S a silver wig. A lot of people really like I will link that down below, but let's get into these wigs. So when you open the box, you have a comb information slip, a wig cap, a strand of dark green to neon green clippin, and we have the two wigs. So here we have the first wig black roots to a silver gray, and it is a lace front. The hair here at the parting is very tightly put, so I'm obviously enough to pluck that. Otherwise, it's just like all my other wigs that has the adjustments and the clips right here. Oh, this is wig number one and I'm gon na try it on in a second, but I want to show you the other wig first here we have wig number two. This green is so rich and beautiful. I'M such a fan. I love these waves. There'S still a little bit intense, but I think when I brush them out, they're gon na look really cool. This goes so well with my background. So the roots are black. It is a lace front, just like the silver one. The inside is also the same. So I'm going to cut the lace off of both of these and try them on without any alterations and I'll come back and show you what it looks like straight from the box say. So this is what this one looks like straight from the box. I just brushed it a little bit because otherwise they looked all crazy. It is so thick. I am not even kidding when I put it on my head. The weight of all of this plus, what's in the back, was a lot. Let me show you the back. Unpinned out as it is now there's a lot of hair here, like so much hair holy crap, and it is really long because my butt starts like here. So I'm gon na have to do on the parting to because there's very little as you can see so yeah. This is this one? Yes, so this is the other one. I feel like the front of this. One is so unforgiving, as you can see here. The parting is very thin, so I think that has something to do with it, because I feel like I look crazy and my viewfinder is far enough, where I can only barely see myself, thank God, but the color is super, pretty I think, it'll be relatively easily Fixable I'll show you what the back is like because again there's a lot of hair. So this is what the back looks like. I do like that. There are different layers and I do like the curls, though I think once I thin it out. They'Ll look a little bit more realistic, rather than just like too curly and to cylindrical. So we'll just see what happens see you later. So a frequent question I get is how I and naturalize my wigs or how I improve them. However, you want to describe it. So I thought I would do a mini. I don't want to call it tutorial because I don't feel, like I'm educated enough, to call it a tutorial, because I'm just a consumer like you guys if you buy wigs, so I'm just gon na tell you what I do. This is Shelby. I strongly strongly suggest having a mannequin head, even a foam one. I used to have a foam one and then I upgraded to this one, since I now have a lot of wigs, just put it on top of a little stand, so first things. First, I always get a trash bag. I think this is a 16 gallon one. So what I do is that I take the trash bag and I just cut it at the beginning and then rip it all the way down. So then, it almost becomes like a pocket with edges. Does that make sense? No probably not - and I put it on the floor right under Shelby, so any hair that I cut those immediately in the bags. That'S just an obvious type of thing, but I figured I'd still say something I get the wig and I think I've told you before there are these adjustments on the inside I do is I take those adjustments and make the wig as tight as possible, so it Hangs on properly to this, some people choose to pin it. I prefer not to for no particular reason other than I don't usually have pins at home. So there's that so then I put it right on to the head. So here we have Shelby. So then, what I do is, and I'm going to give you a closer up in a second, but what I do is specifically for this one which I'm going to leave straight. Is I'm gon na brush her through and then I'm gon na straighten her after? I do that I'm gon na come back and I'm gon na show you what type of scissors I have and what I do from there next step has to do with a part. If I come back here, you can see that the part is not very thick. So what I use is this, which is used for eyebrows, I think typically, and I'm going to use it to cut some hairs off now. Usually I would plug them. But since it's synthetic the few times I have tried plucking, it actually has almost or actually has ripped the lace. So now what I do is I use this if not sometimes scissors and I just cut very, very close to the lace. So you take a couple of hairs: it's good to start being cautious, so here, as you can see, I'm holding a couple of hairs so here of hairs and just drop them over there and, as you can see the parting here, you can see where ripped off The hairs and then I'm going to cut so the black is minimal, and then I'm going to cover it the foundation that I'll show you all of that as we go on okay. So now I plucked and cut from the roots, as you can see, as you can see, it's a more natural part. Of course I'm going to cover this with foundation, so this is where we're at with the part. Now, what I'm gon na do is fill this area. In now you can do a foundation orbit. Concealer I've been doing it with concealer lately cuz, I don't know what it is, but when my foundation touches the lace, it ends up. Turning like orange, yellow and not really matching my skin tone, so I'm gon na be using my concealer today, this one and I'm just gon na play it here up like I'll, show you in a sec. I know it looks crazy right now, but when I have it on it'll, look less crazy and some of it will get on the hair, but I'm just gon na get a makeup wave after and rip that off a little bit in the front. So there's no. Like immediate discrepancy, there we go like I said that looks crazy, but once it'll have like something closer to my skin tone, rather than this build splotches it'll look better. So one of the tricky parts of wigs that have black roots, though I love them, is that it looks so shiny, like the rest, looks shiny in and of itself, but less up here it's a lot, so I use dry shampoo. Now I use tinted dry shampoo for my brown hair, so it's brown, I'm gon na - be using this Paul Mitchell dry, wash waterless shampoo, but it ends up making it look more matte. I'Ve found I've tried baby powder, but most the time it's too much like. I don't like how it turns out, so I'm gon na spray this now it looks way greater than it is on a camera, but I'm gon na brush it through and then I'll show you what it looks like okay. So this is what it looks like now. Of course, there's still a bit of shine here. As you can see, it looks like a white line, but it's actually shine as if I move it looks different as you can see, but it's definitely less than it was before okay. So this is what this wig looks like now. So, as you can see, it has waves that start towards the lower part. I mentioned this in Prior videos, but I use this coconut complex. So it's a texture, finishing spray. I am very, very selective when I use this. I use it sometimes on straight wigs, but most the time I use it when there's some kind of wave. I want to maintain so when I use this, I'm also very sparing that the lady at the store was like, don't put too much and she's right, because otherwise it looks really and gross. So I'm gon na spray, this just to kind of try and keep the shape there and try naturalize it a little bit more, hey guys. So I'm back! This is what one of the ways looks like now upon seeing myself in the viewfinder. I think the part could still use some work with my naked eye. It looks okay, but on camera, it's like so, as you can see, the waves I'd say are more natural. I like them more like this less cylindrical, less intense. I guess I'll show you what the back looks like. So hopefully you cannote that I thinned it out. There was a lot of hair that came off and I feel like well, I was thinning it out. It also helped with the waves, because obviously my scissors kept passing through and I kept brushing through, so I think the waves calmed themselves down. I really like this wig. I liked the first cost wig, so I already had a standard in mind and both the wigs really hit the standard. For me. There wasn't much shedding. It was easy to thin out because sometimes when you thin it out, the hair gets all combined into like a ball and then brushing it out. It'S like a disaster, but I didn't have that problem whatsoever. So I am happy with this one and also the other ones that I'm going to show you in a second okay. So this is what the other wig looks like. I think it looks a lot better. I think it sits on my head a lot flatter. Sorry, if I turned that way, I have a mayor really really did a lot of thinning out, but now that I'm wearing it it occurred to me that it's still not very thin, like it's still thick, but with the amount of thinning out I did. I would have expected it to be thinner, so that's a good thing because at the beginning at least - and I still struggle with this - sometimes it's hard to know when to stop thinning out, because when you have it on like a foam head or something, you can't Really tell how thin it is until you put it on and feel the weight and see how much is in front of you versus your back. That being said, let me show you what the back looks like, though this is what the back looks like now. I tried to make a few layers so also very happy with this wig I really like how both of them turned out. I would strongly suggest them if you're interested, if you're interested I'll put the link down in the description below anyways guys. Thank you so much for watching and thank you to my patrons as always and I'll catch you guys next time.

hotpotato: I really don't get apologising for your appearance, your skin is really pretty without foundation

xxtoronto xo: I've been making wigs for almost 10 years. I would suggest to pluck more or the hairline and the parting because no ones hairline is that uniform. I part pluck a checkerboard pattern, parting and plucking to the top of the wig. I would also make the part deeper because most people have a 3 inch part. Also, If you don't want to put makeup on your lace, try sewing a stocking cap to the lace. <3 BEWARE normal ass people trying to buy these wigs online. These companies lie about their density and processing of hair. If you want a thick VIRGIN human wig, it's going to cost you. These wigs are not meant for daily wear and will not last long. Theyre good for an event and for photos. Checkout peerless/ Isee for affordable hair and wigs, theyre remi and not virgin but last 1-2 years.

Skulls Lace: You've inspired me to actually order wigs. I'm gonna go for a silver and a blue one. I have really, really long hair, and I can't be bothered to recolour it as often as I should - it's black, naturally brown, as I got my first white hairs with twelve and now, as a 27yo, I look like I'm in my forties. (No, I'm not gonna cut it- I work in the medieval scene, and the hair length is appropriate for that). I really want to go crazy with colour, but don't dare to bleach my own hair, so that's a perfect way to try it out :3

Luminous Opinions: The wig reviews are awesome. They've helped with the wigs I get.

Serene Greene: omg, stop apologizing please. you are naturally beautiful.

Nope: Yaaas we love the wigs. With mine I ALWAYS straighten them and recurl them because I cannot do factory curls. I nust don't like the way they looks for me. And thinning is easier with straight hair. That gray wig is gorgeous and I also love the intense green with the background lol it matches perfectly.

Hanna: Apologizing for not using foundation? Girl, women like you are the reason I am bi. I adore when you show up all natural, glasses and black short hair. BTW, thanx for the tutorial! I always screw up with my wigs.

doodleartlover: Thank you so much for showing how you thin and cut your wigs...also for showing how what you do to the part. I've been wanting to try a wig but had no idea what to do with it to make it look more natural. Great video! ✌

Robot queen Christine: This was really interesting. I've always wanted to wear wigs bc I love to drastically change my color damn near every month and the damage is intense, as is the cost of doing so. Now I gotta go binge your other wig videos to learn what to do! Who needs sleep?

Itri Vega: Really love this type of content, I get the impression that you relax while talking about what you do to make them look more natural and it really soothes my soul. You're amazing at this.

abbythehuman X: You should give Webster wigs a try if you haven’t already, I’ve been buying from them for a couple of years and the quality is always great!

Victoria Allday: Love this! I've been wanting to get into wigs and you made it make more sense.

Sam Of Sam Nation: I used to cosplay a lot and now that I’m in college and can’t afford to make my costumes I stopped. I love and miss wigs and I actually bought a new wig for a Cortana costume and now I wear it all the time. These videos are so nice and relaxing to watch while I care for my wigs.

Linda Tannock: Thanks! That was helpful. I'm so scared to do too much with my wigs, but this has helped, as yours always look great

FC LLC: I'm going to watch all of your wig videos so I can get a few for our daughter. You look so cute in every wig!

Thee Galina: You don’t have to apologize for not wearing foundation! You look stunning with or without makeup.

Baggy tshirts and bread: Apologises for appearance without foundation, still looks flawless without foundation! So keen to get a wig and try this

Jess: Both are gorgeous. I really like the grey one on you. You look fantastic!

Catherine The Cool Mom: I love this whole wig trend but sadly it seems that they're all center parted and that's an absolute no no with my face, I've got to have side parts, they're just harder to find.

Totally DX: You got me watching wig tutorials and I dont even wear wigs your good

Min: She reminds me so much of my big sister. I love them both so much.

kaelyn: I’m very new to cosplay, this has really helped a lot. Thank you :)

Ogle Frugal Bugel: I love the green and black one. It's gorgeous.

Jill of Hyperion: I have a problem with my hair popping out too! How do you put on your wigs and keep them in place while you're out and about? Love your style and your content!

Emma Harlie: I’m so happy you’ve made this vid, imma look snatched now

Shelby West: I had this video playing as I was cleaning and actually dropped my broom when you said Shelby

Pink Puffin: You look so much more italian without the wigs and makeup :) (I am part italian too, and couldnt believe it when you spoke such perfect italian!)

Tank Girl's Pet Dragon: It matches you background perfectly. I have a glass head I like to use for my costume wigs.

Michael's Mom: Does wearing wigs frequently seem to effect your natural hair or scalp in any way?

SKY: I loved this wig i even bought it

Léa': The blue one suits you soooo well ! Hey from France

J Hart: I literally look exactly like you at the start. The hair, glasses, t shirt and nails. Let me tell you (not to toot my own horn) but you look perfect with or without the glam darling

missyann: So happy i get to watch a new vide from you while getting ready just adore you

Mrs. Infamous: You look beautiful without foundation

Mandeh Hunt: You look SO good in wings but also w that pink shifting highlighter. One of my ofra highlighters are like that and having Hawaiian skin does not work with it. But you, girl. shit works.

S M: Omg people actually thin out nice thick wigs? I have thick hair naturally and I feel like I'd want to keep as much hair on the wig as possible to make it look natural and be able to style it. I've been looking to buy wigs forever and they always look so thin.

DanYell X: Haha did you get your nails done half way thru.. I love the green

SonSauvage: I mean yeah, I'll watch this. Why not. A welcome change from all the insanity happening lately

Haro Artistry: Do those wigs feel itchy? Ive tried some but, I always can't handle the heavyness and itchyness. That might of been because they were synthetic one.

Rachel Wright: HELL YA FOR THAT LAST PODCAST ON THE LEFT SHIRT

Kizzabell: I need to get those scissors! I cut my own hair because I'm poor. I just use normal paper scissors. :/ I've never seen scissors like that. You looked like you were hacking half the hair off with that scissor action lol but only little bits of hair were actually cut off.
