"Infra Wig" Soft Hair Gel: Lush Reviews #726

Hey guys welcome or welcome back to my channel, my name is brianna and today i'm back with another lush review and this time around i have the infra week soft hair gel. So this hair gel is currently available on the lush uk website uh. It is an all year round product. I believe it is going to make its way to other websites around the world for lush uh. It did have a very limited release earlier this year, which a lot of people were lucky enough to get it back. Then i wasn't so here i am with my review. So the main ingredients of this product here are water, xanthan gum, glycerin, fair trade, olive oil, propylene glycol brazilian orange oil, sicilian, lemon oil, grapefruit oil, lemon myrtle oil, vanilla, absolute chunk, absolute and some other little bits and pieces. So, as you can probably tell by the ingredients list, it is a sort of citrusy yet floral scent it's a very, very nicely balanced scent. I will say that for a fact, it doesn't feel too feminine or too masculine. It'S quite a unisex kind of scent, which is great for a hair gel product. I believe yeah, it's sort of almost got like a little bit of a sherbety lemony kind of smell to it almost smells like those um little sherbet packets that used to dip your little spatula thing, the dipper thing in um as kids. It'S that kind of smell. If you're familiar with that sort of thing or sherbet bombs or anything with sherbet in it, that was a candy as a kid. It'S kind of got that smell to it. Now the color of it is this kind of light, lilac-y kind of color. I don't want to dip it too far forward because it does have um sort of a thinner texture to it. It is quite jelly and kind of um wobbly, so it does have a good texture for a gel. It'S not too thin, not too thick, which is a great thing now. I did actually put a little bit on my hair today, just to show you guys um separately, but here is this little part here that i did put the gel on this strip here and then that's my hair there. So, as you can see, the hair is definitely laying a lot more flat than the other parts of my hair, which is good. It definitely has the feeling of having a gel in it it. It does have, i wouldn't say, a crunchiness: that's not the right word, but it does have a stiffness to it that a gel would provide, as you can see, there's barely any change to the kind of shine coming off my hair. This is not a shiny um product; it doesn't have that sort of traditional shine that a lot of gel type products do have. The hair looks pretty much the same as the rest of my hair. It'S not an overly matte gel either. It'S not a matte hair product, it's not a shiny hair product. It pretty much just keeps the same sort of shine. I would say maybe a little bit more shiny than my regular hair, but i mean if you're looking from a distance, you wouldn't notice it. So i had to look really really closely at it to completely tell the difference now for someone like me, i'm not someone who uses a lot of hair styling products. I will preface this part of the video by saying that, but funnily enough, i really did enjoy this product and the reason why i enjoyed it is because it does have that sort of finish to it. That is what i like in a product. It'S that natural kind of finish, like i said not too shiny, not too matte. It just gives you that nice natural look almost like there's nothing there at all. If you get what i mean - and i would definitely use this for slicked back ponytails - i think that's probably the best use of it for someone with long hair like mine, uh, to use it on the top of the head just to help slick back the ponytails. So yeah and it works really well on damp hair and dry hair. I'Ve tried both it's perfect on either, obviously with damp hair. You do tend to use more product, and i know that sounds kind of strange, but i find that when i put it on damp hair. For some reason it goes more crunchy, like with any of the gels that i've tried from lush or any sort of hair product really. So i do prefer to use this on as dry as possible hair. So, if you're, using this out of the shower, make sure your hair is thoroughly towel dry before using or it could get a little bit too crunchy and a bit too stiff, which we don't want. Unless you like that, look, if you sort of do mohawk or spiky kind of looks, that could be a good aspect of the product for you and a good way to use it. But i think, outside of that definitely wait until your hair is a little bit drier to use the product overall, my thoughts, that's pretty much my thoughts on the product. I think it is a great product. I think it's a very flexible product, like i said, suitable for men and women due to the scent of the product and funnily enough when you apply it and once it dries down the scent, pretty much disappears. Now i don't know, if that's a good thing for you or a bad thing, uh look. I i like the fact that hair products don't have to always smell super intense to be nice. I guess uh and it's one of those things that it's like. I don't mind if the scent disappears with a hair product, because i mean i think most of us wear deodorant. I think a lot of us wear perfume of some description or cologne most days, so there are other ways to add scent to your body without using a hair product, and i don't think most people buy a hair product thinking. Oh, i want my hair to be the highlight in terms of the scent of my body. You know, i don't think most people think like that. But anyway, with all that being said, it is a great product and it does the job that i would like it to do. As with all hair products, it's going to come down to personal preference for you and what you like from a hair product. It'S just up to you guys out there what what you're looking for in a product if you're, looking for a really shiny, hair gel this is probably not going to be the product for you. If you're looking for a really matte looking um product, that gives you that sort of really matte looking finish, it's not going to be the product for you, so yeah, that's pretty much! All there is to it. It is a very natural looking gel and i think it's especially great for work and school and places like that, where a lot of us do have to sort of tone things down a little bit so yeah. I definitely think it's worth a five out of five. I definitely think it's worth giving it a try uh if you're looking for a new gel product to have for your hair.
