Pre-Teen Style “How To: Disguise Individual Crochet” No Wrapping - Toyotress Toceana Wavy Locs 12”

Hey guys, thanks for coming to check out today's video, so today's video is um featuring some new hair from toyotres. It'S actually um a hair that i've tried before, but in a longer length. So today i'm trying out the tosiyon curly i'll rip put it there. So you can read it. Um is what the hair looks like it's their crochet hair today we're going to do individual crochets and i think we're just going to do like some cornrows in the back. But all the front will be individual crochets um. We already did one just to see um how to do the technique and to figure it out and to make sure that this is what she wants, because she's going to be wearing it to school. So this is my child. This her hair, her hair, is very, very long and thick um, so we're gon na do this protective style for her, and hopefully this will last her till the holidays. Come you wan na, say hi hi tell them, who you are. How old you are. My name is genevieve thomas and i'm 12 and i like to draw all right. So let's go ahead and get started with this hair um. So we got one pack, two, three, four, five six. So it's a six bundle pack from tocion i'll put hum from um toyotres i'll put how much it costs and i'll put all the information in the description. So you can know exactly what this hair is guys. We are back it's the next day. We are rocking our glimmer bonnets if you like these bonnets, they are available on the website. You can definitely um grab them. This is the bubble, gum color, and this is the pink signature satin one. So i want to show you guys the braid pattern at this point. All the front is all individual braids and these are going to be individual crochets and then in the back. I just did regular um cornrows just going straight down, and then i just tuck the end of this last braid crochet, that in to the other brace so now we're going to do individual crochets like this one on all of them. So i just wanted to do a quick voiceover for this part, so i did a few and got the technique down and want to show you guys how i get these crochets to look like they are individuals when they're actually crochet. So you want to start by placing your crochet needle from the top of the braid, so you want your needle to go from the top down, not the other way around. You pull the crochet loop through the top and then you pull the braid through, and then you pull the crochet lock and your own braid apart, so that it tightens. Then you pull put the crochet hook in on a diagonal, and then you take your own braid back through, so that sort of locks the crochet loop at the top in underneath your braid, so that you never see the loop at all. Then you go through the lock with the crochet needle and you go ahead and grab your own braid and slide that through. If the lock gets tangled or if the hair doesn't want to come through, you can just take the needle out and then just pull it down. If your own braid is showing you can kind of just twist the lock into place and it'll sort of hide the crochet, i mean hide your braid underneath a little better. It doesn't always work. Sometimes you have to take it out and do it again, but i try to avoid that because when you go in through the lock with the crochet needle it kind of degrades the curl pattern of the lock. So you really don't want to do that as much. But then you go ahead and grab the rest of the hair. My daughter's hair is super long, so it's i always have to go through two or three times to get her hair into the lock, but that's pretty much the end result and that's how it looks and i think it's a pretty good technique because you really can't See the loop once you do it this way, so i'm just going to show it one more time do not place. The loop do not place the hook underneath the braid going up. Do not do it. That way so definitely place the hook at the top going downward grab the loop, pull it through grab your hair, pull it through the loop and pull pull, see. That'S how you get the loop underneath the braid and then you're going to go on a diagonal. This is the part that was hard for me to figure out but going in on a diagonal, and then you pull it down. It just secures the braid so much tighter. So make sure you do that part go in on a diagonal and then pull the braid through then you're going to go inside the lock with your crochet needle and then you're going to go ahead and pull your braid through the lock. So here you can see the crochet needle was getting caught onto the lock, don't just keep pulling because, like i said that will degrade the lock just take the needle out, find the braid and just pull it through with your fingers and then pull the rest of The lock down, because the lock itself will still be kind of like scrunched up but just pull it down, then go ahead and go in through the lock again and take the rest of the braid through now my daughter's hair. So long, it literally is the same length as the locks, but it worked out fine. I thought it was gon na mess up and not like keep my daughter's braid inside, but she's been wearing these locks to school for at least two or three weeks, and not a single braid has come out or is showing so it's very secure. I don't know you guys, i'm super proud of this, because this looks so good to me and my daughter is like loving the end results of this. I just love how these look as individuals and even though they're crochets, so in the back. I just did six braids going straight down and i just went ahead and placed the locks two finger widths apart, but what i did was i went in on either side of the braid and placed the locks, so i placed locks on the left side of the Braid and then the right side of the braid, i didn't want the locks to be going um like fully covering the whole braid. So i only just pulled like half of the cornrow and only just cornrow, the um, only just crochet the locks through half of the cornrow, because i didn't want them like coming apart. So yeah i put locks on the left side of each cornrow and on the right side, but i just made sure they were each two finger whips apart. So here i think you can see more clearly what i mean i didn't put. I didn't put the lock through the entire braid, i literally just crocheted the lock through, like a portion of the braid um and just made sure that it was basically on either side of the cornrow and i did not crochet through the whole entire cornrow. I just like chose a small section of the cornrow to crochet into because i just wanted it to look more natural and to um fall properly, um, so yeah. I i definitely liked how this ended up working out. Okay, go ahead! What you think about your hair! I i like it like a lot. You like it: yes, okay, so overall, i would absolutely recommend these twists. Um, i love them, they're, absolutely beautiful. I did them in the longer length. This is the 12 inch. I love both lengths and i think they just look great they're great for all ages, my daughter's 12. and they look great on her and they looked awesome on me.
