Hey everybody and welcome back, did i do a video last week i did. I was gon na say happy new year, but i already said it, but if you didn't watch that video last week happy new year, okay anyway, today i'm gon na do a twist out on my natural hair uh. I did a short version of this video. For my favorite things for christmas um for instagram and everyone was like what products do you use? What products do you use? So i said i'm gon na do it here. I'M gon na show you the products i use and they are very inexpensive and you're not going to believe this. They are absolutely amazing. I use african pride so i'm going in to make a cocktail with the gelling cream and the curl mousse, and sometimes i used to use the curling cream. But it gives you a softer finish, but i'm going to use the first two because the gel. That'S in that gelling cream gives me a nice hard cast on my twist out, which helps it last much longer this little detangling brush. Did my hair really well, i'm gon na leave a link below where you can get one, but i'm just gon na section. My hair off in regular sections and i'm just going to twist it down with the gel and cream and the mousse um anytime, you're, mixing two products. If you mix them together and they just like form a cream on your hand, just nice and silky together, then it's fine to mix them together. But if you mix two products together and it starts to clump up kind of like kind of like a cottage cheese consistency, then you don't want to use that, because it'll just leave a whole bunch of build up on your hair. Now why i do two strand twists on my hair instead of just a wash and go is simply this: my hair lasts a lot longer with the twist out and two it stretches my hair really. Well, i don't like when my hair is shrunk. Really short, i mean it's just my preference. I know it might sound a little shallow, but i want my hair to hang as much as it possibly can, because i like length you know length is definitely not the most important but you're allowed to be into what you're into so. I just want my hair to be stretched and twist outs definitely help with that. So if you have a lot of shrinkage, try your best to do a twist out and see if that helps with you know, showing that length now today to dry my hair, i'm going to use a diffuser from kara ashley. I love this little silicone diffuser. It is so cool and it dried my hair so fast i usually see people use diffusers on their wash and goes, and i'm like, i want to try mine on my twist out and it dried it so much faster than the dryer. I just put it right on put the nozzle right on my dryer, see super easy and i just held it up to my twists. You know for a while, and you know the product definitely helped it dry faster, especially that gel um, because i i'm you know gel just gives you that little crispiness, but it wasn't too hard. It didn't make my hair too hard. It was just right see how my ends curled up. Look at that, if you notice earlier in the video when i do the twist out, i always finger coil the ends and they were kind of loose, but look how that product just tightened. My ends right on up perfect. So now i'm gon na take the five essential oils and i'm gon na put it in my hand. While i continue to break up these curls because you don't want well some people, i like frizz a little frizz, because my hair is a lot bigger when it gets frizzy. But you want to give it a fighting chance. So you want to make sure that you put some oil on your hands so that, while you break your hair up, it stays as intact as possible. Now after i break my curls up as much as i can i'm going to take this pick, it is double layered has plenty of teeth, because i, like my hair big, i also got this from kara ashley, so i'm gon na leave the link below, for both Things and i'm just going to go in and i am going to lift those roots because that's going to help give me the volume that i need for my twist out now try to be gentle with yourself. I know i'm probably looking a little rough like even my face is like. Oh somebody help me, but it's not that deep. It wasn't hurting me at all actually um - and i was very concerned about that with my hair, having that little crispy shell over them uh, but it worked it's not. It didn't hurt like the hair, is breaking up very nice and easily. So that's a shout out to african pride in this pic is wide tooth. So just like the shampoo clones, we use every time we wash the hair. It makes it so that you don't have any breakage and it's very very easy and gentle on your hair. The best part about african pride to me is that the gelling cream is under six dollars. The the moose is under six dollars, the curling cream is under five and the five essential oils is twelve dollars and some change. So i know a lot of times. You know products can be pretty expensive, but the price point of african pride is pretty perfect, no matter who you are and it works. You know what i'm saying so that i would say is my second favorite thing after its performance. Now, in the front, i always twist it forward and i'm picking it back just to cause a little puff underneath of it, because i, like bangs, i like to wear my curls across my forehead, and i have a little heat damage left on the ends in the Front which, when i do my trim video, which is what you guys keep asking me for i'ma, cut a lot of that off, because i just don't want you know, i don't want heat damage anymore in the front. It'S just like a few strands that just wear me out, but it's all good, i'm gon na get them off soon and um yeah. I just i just love the word. Bang see i'm just still fluffing this hair out, that's cause! I want it huge. I i love, love, love huge hair, oh my god y'all i almost forgot. Can we talk about something real, quick? I made a million subscribers. We made it last sunday we hit a million subscribers, i'm so excited i love y'all. I mean i really i wouldn't be at a million if it wasn't for you guys, and i just want to thank y'all from the bottom of my heart. I know i say thank you at the end of every video, but i can't thank you all enough for just supporting my channel always watching being so positive in the comments all of the time and just being just just genuinely beautiful people. You know i feel, like we formed the community here, and it just makes me so happy and i just really wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys. So i just thank you so much tell a friend to come on over and watch deeper than hair tv and um yeah. I guess we're on the road to 2 million. So again, thank you guys. I know we talked about this in a prior video, but i didn't always know that my hair was capable of this at all. You know, i didn't know that i had a curl pattern or anything. So you know it just takes a lot of like knowledge and you have to like try a bunch of different products and the different techniques to see what works best for your hair. But if you want to try your hair natural, just don't be afraid of it. I mean what's the worst, that could happen if you don't like it just wash it out, you know, but you are um worthy of seeing what your hair really can do. Look at that i'm having a great time. I love my hair like this and i can't believe i lived so many years without even knowing that it was possible. So i'm just grateful for just learning and and the evolution you know of us getting back to our roots, no pun intended. So how you wrap these curls, you either put them in a bonnet. I don't like that because it smashes them or you can pull it up like a pineapple on the top of your head with a soaker sand scarf and wrap it up, see you next time.

RealNettieB: It’s just amazing what our hair can do

Police The police: I went natural the end of my senior year in high school (2014) and I still can’t believe I went that long never giving a single thought to what my hair would look like without relaxers or perms (since they were forced on me as a child). It’s interesting because this just shows how conditioned and brainwashed we all are by white society. All I knew was straight hair which never passed my neck. Now, almost 7 years later and my super big thick curly hair is a little past bra strap length. Sadly I am neglectful of my hair it being too much to handle but this natural hair community and black positivity is amazing and if I were to ever have a daughter, she would be taught to love her coils, curls, etc

SarahLee: I have very curly hair, and have only recently started to style it the correct way. I haven't gotten a diffuser yet though and everyone tells me that's the key. I normally just wash it, put mousse in and let it air dry and the curls look pretty decent. My roots always look too flat. So I'll try your method with the pick

Sunni. Edmerson: I was just about to hold you accountable. Like "excuse me ma'am where is our one video a week?" Lol But here you are in all your wondrous glory and on my lunch break!!

Ꭼshҽ WOLF X: Congratulations You definitely deserve it!!!!

Annspirahtion 08: More of this Please. You’re the real MVP with the beautiful results and the affordable products

Denise Hicks-Mial: I never tried a twist out on dried hair. I will give it a try. Your hair was beautiful

Anissah: I rlly be cryn cuz the quotes she put hit different , and real inspirational for just those few words. Thank you and mayum your freakn gorgeous keep doin what u doin

P Vir: I thought I was the only one that frowned while doing my hair even though I'm not being rough and it doesn't hurt.

justice 77 justice: People are beautiful toward you because you exuded beauty and authenticity toward them....keep going sis.
