Hey guys welcome to my channel welcome back to my channel so today, I'm just gon na do a talk through on how I do my crochet braids using this hair that was sent to me from Sam's Beauty. It is the kinky curl, expression, 24 inch hair, and so all you see me right here doing is just laying my edges down and right there. I just showed you guys where I planned on doing my part. So if you are not a braid or like myself and don't have time for all those crisscross things, this is what I do. I simply just bright my hair straight back and then I take a piece of crochet here and I crochet two braids together, so that that gap kind of disappears, as you can see right there, if I'm not explaining it very well so then you have a part And then you, but you don't have a part, that's like all the way straight back, if that makes sense, so I planned on doing a middle part with this hair and also a side part, and so I'm doing the same thing right here. Just taking two braids mushing them together with a piece of crochet hair and tying them down, and getting rid of that that little section, of course, that butt gap, so all I'm doing here, is just simply adding in the crochet hair kind of sectioned by section. Of course, and then you see one half of my head done in this clip? Okay, so here I ended up splitting the hair, which was kind of difficult, because this hair is so long. I'M splitting this hair into four the front pieces was a. It was a bit of a challenge, but I I did the best. I could um also another trick that I'm doing right here. It'S the way I try and get my front to look a little bit more natural like right at the edges is the same thing. Just take two braids and smush them together with one piece of crochet here, so that that gap disappears. I don't like seeing you know the individual braids in the front of my hair with crochet here, what I'm doing crochet braids, so that's kind of how I get rid of it and it does not put a lot of tension either on your edges in here. I'M just taking a piece of crochet here and just cutting it through. That'S the best way to do it, so you don't get any tangles or anything like that. So this is the hair in all of its glory. Before I cut it and it's super super full. I just stopped adding some hair to see where I was at. So that's why you may see some gaps and here do not pull on curly hair, I'm about to get into cutting it for you guys, but what you don't want to do is pull on curly hair before cutting it. That'S gon na make your hair be even shorter, so what I try and do is give my hair kind of a heart shape and with that I just kind of style it the way as far as you know, middle part or whatever I'm gon na do and Then just kind of let the hair fall as natural as possible, and then I begin cutting. So if you see the difference here, you'll kind of see that layered look and I definitely wanted to keep this hair super super long. Well, that's super long, but as long as I can definitely keep it and once I kind of got that shape, I went in a little bit more and I sectioned the hair. Wahhhh split the hair in two on one side and I did a little bit more layering to give me a little bit more volume. And so that's what you see me doing right here and getting some hair out of my eyes and just cutting pieces being trying. My best not to pull as well on the hair, but of course I am pulling a little bit when I just say: don't pull a pool, it's kind of a hard thing to get to not do. But you know I try my best like I said to not do it because I know it's just gon na make my hair a lot shorter, so guys I love this hair when I was installing it like right. When I worried, I worried a family event and I got compliments on my hair and I worked out. I got compliments. I was really feeling this hair in the beginning and then it just kind of left me down. It'S the it just did not say like this, but i'ma. Let you guys enjoy this little section right here before y'all. Hear me talk so just stay tuned, finish, watch watching the cutting video and just stay tuned for my final review after it. Thank you. Alright, hey you guys welcome to my channel or welcome back to my channel, so today I just wanted to. Actually you saw the video on how I install this hair and how I cut it. Sorry, if I'm talking low again, you guys know that I film, when my baby is napping, so I get right into this review really quickly. The videos already I'm sure super long, so I'm not gon na make it any longer um. So the hair was sent to me by seems beauty. This is the expression kinky curly hair. It comes if you couldn't see it in the video. It comes in pieces that are easy for you, of course, to go ahead and crochet in your hair. The pieces are actually very, very soft and the hair is super super springy and bouncy. So I have a love-hate relationship with this here um. I love it simply for the fact that it resembles natural hair to a tee. In my opinion, when I see like big natural hair on Instagram and on YouTube, and everything like that, like this hair to me, it resembles it like, especially when it's kind of a little bit older and it's not so silky or anything like that. As you can see right now, I've had it in for a week and when you guys saw me, I was in Dallas visiting my parents, but now I am back at home for my natural girls or anyone who wants to try this. Let me go with the pros really quickly like if that resembles natural hair says he. It was very easy for me to put it in, and I like how long it came so that you're able to do cut it. However, you want it to and do different styles with it and make it as big as you wanted to, or not as big or full as you wanted to as well. So the reason why I have a hate relationship with his hair is because of everything else. Um it sheds like crazy. It tangles like crazy as well, and I don't know if that was simply because I put too much hair in I started off with. Actually, I put in, I ordered, I think, six packs of this hair and I only put in five packs and at first I was like I I could not stand this hair every single night I tied it up just like I normally would my own hair or My own, you know whatever I was wearing because I've worn kinky curly weave before so the the maintenance on that is a little bit more. So I know every single night I need to tie it up, put some braids in it. Everything like that, but every time I undid it each morning for the entire week y'all the hair was tangled and it was shedding. It was shedding and it was just bad. Like I said a just went by, and so I said well let me see, maybe if it's still just too long, because as you can see, I did cut it. I'Ve been cutting it shorter and shorter and shorter as the week went by, because it's been very very hard to deal with and maintain, and so I said well, let me also take some hair out because I didn't want to completely count this hair out, simply because I put too much here in it, I mean I installed too much hair, and so I wondered if that like made it a little bit too hard for me to manage - and I ended up taking hair out, maybe a whole like pack of hair, maybe more and It still was it's, it still did not help it. So I don't know, maybe I'm just not the best right now at installing crochet. Here I am learning. This is only my third install using crochet here, I'm gon na be completely honest with you. I feel like this hair would be great as like, if you're doing a big bun or you needed to add in more hair to your natural hair, I think the hair would be awesome. I don't think the hair would be super great ask shei here. If you did use the hair as crochet here, the 24 inches is more like 30 inches for one I'm 5/3 in this hair is super super long. I would definitely cut the hair before you even installed it, because splitting the hair and everything like that is just gon na cause more frizz, and it's just gon na be harder for you to to put in so I would definitely cut the hair some and then Install it, and only probably just use, maybe three packs, maybe three and a half and see where you're at undo it tease it a little bit because it's gon na happen anyways and then install some more as needed. If you need to as needed. If you need to that's the same thing, so that's where I'm at with this at this point, you guys I'm just ready to take it out. I think I would revisit this hair again in the future for like different styles, I'm really thinking maybe about doing um like feet and braids with this hair, or I don't know something not just a bun or like that, but actual you know a cute style or Something like that, I just had a really exhausting week. My braids are coming undone they're super loose up here. I just this hair cost me. It was just the Blues for me this week and I thought that it would be so much better and it was, it definitely was not and unfortunately it happens. Not everything is gon na be perfect, but I also don't want to come on here and tell you guys. Oh this is gray, it's so pretty and easy to manage and you guys are gon na love. It make sure you go buy this hair the little block, because it's not the case, I'm gon na tell you guys the truth and, like I said, the hair is pretty it's, so I do love it. I do love the texture and I think it's really pretty. If we, if I just get past the shedding and the tangling, maybe that's something I did. I think this hair will be yes, ma'am, yes idea, that's how I think this hair would be super super super cute. That'S really it for this review. You guys. I hope you guys enjoyed the how I styled and how I cut the hair. Like I said, just keep in mind if you choose to go ahead and buy this, keep in mind is gon na be some work. I also did try doing like using leave-in conditioner using mousse for this hair. I tried everything under the Sun to not get it to tangle or map or anything like that and reduce the shedding. But nothing worked for me, unfortunately, so yeah, so that's it. You guys. Thanks so much for watching, if you are not subscribed, please subscribe to my channel and don't forget to follow me on Instagram and I'll put it up here: ji, dot, ma, RI @ j Marie and that's it. I will see you guys in my next video bye,

Jai Marii: Issa Love/Hate thing! Beautiful hair! Maybe too long for crochet?? What are your thoughts? Remember I am new to the crochet game! Also, considering this was kinky hair I did not find the need to gel my edges down to the max, however, they coulda been laid a bit better Lol! Oh well! DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE & FOLLOW ON IG FOR A GIVEAWAY COMING SOON!

Justaviewer: Best advice for anyone doing crochet styles ... always remember that we aren’t paying grade A prices so don’t expect the hair to not shed, tangle, bunch up; especially when it’s curly . You only want to keep a hairstyle in for a month max, and a lot of crochet hair last about that long. The hair looks beautiful still, could’ve not been as expected because if the length, however I had short curly hair that did the same exact thing. I haven’t had any curly crochet hair that didn’t . For the price and how long it last it’s worth it to me . Just keep that in mind for anyone new to using affordable crochet hair .

ch1somxx: That hair looks good on you girl! I have been doing this style since I saw your video for a year now but I use Caribbean Cuban Ripple and it works supper

Skyler Symone: This was extremely helpful for me, thank you.❤️

angelique wood: I will try this hair and come back and see if I feel the same way... I wear more kinkier texture crochet hair and some times we tend to fight against the curl instead of letting it be, causing more frustration then needed.‍♀️ (My opinion) I will agree on the length and bulk was alittle too much but it still looks cute. Stay bless and much luck with the crochet hairs.

GlamourousHealth: Thx for the honest review! I thought I was crazy when this hair did the same things to me! Ahhh what a relief- I guess it would be best used if one was going to an event and needed a specific "look". ~But for daily wear... I give it a grade D

Marry Jane: Girl you just saved my life I get so sick of braiding half & half

Chanel Anice: I think one issue might be the length. I've been doing kinky/curly crochet braids for a while and just find that they are more manageable and long lasting at shoulder length (or slightly longer). Any longer and you start running into the issues you described whatever the case, the hair looks so good on you! You just gotta keep experimenting girl! Thanks for the vid!!

Mariam Aquarium: this vid inspired me to try it out! it's so cute on you. i had a great experience w/ it but i also did cut it in half so it was easier to manage. kept it in for ~3 weeks.

Linda Moore: I think this hair is so cute! Even Long.. I’m going to try it with 3bags and space it out and do maybe 6 braids in the front so I don’t put to much hair

1814Dreadyhead GreiSkies69: It looks great and I am getting some now online.

Li Li hair girl: Yes! The reason it keeps strangling is it's very long! I cut mine in half. No problem! Looks good though!

susan johnson: I tried this hair before!!!

ash86marie: I had this hair and I also installed too much. I had to take out like a whole pack. But I think where you went wrong was that you unraveled it too much It’s already double twisted. Only untwist it once next time. Mines didn’t shed at all.

Tamera F.: I think its gorgeous and you did an awesome job. Thank you for the tip on not pulling curly hair. I did that for jamacian bounce and its a little to short but its still cute ad its my 1st full crochet. Maybe if you cut it 1st and have it shorter like 12' instead??

Hotmess Teaching: I wear this hair everytime. I keep it in for 2 months. It's the hair in my profile pic, I always cut it before the install.

Xiao Yun: I love your video and I love the way the hair looks on you. I like hair challenges so I ordered this hair online and I will use the entire length and seperate each strand BUT I will do a wig AND I will force myself to put no more than 4 packs. Maybe it will last longer because of the fact that I won't sleep on it. I hope so ! Thanks for sharing !

Dionne M GoBigBlueKY: Thanks for sharing doll

Tamera F.: Was it hard to loop since it was soft? Thank you for your honest opinion even though it was sent to you! Means a LOT!! Can you review another brand kinky curl?

MsJae Jontelle: Nope i used this hair in a shorter style and had the same experience. I think i found a similar texture with model model and fell in love

Felicia Watson: I love the look of this hair and see potential in it. I bought 3 packs and plan to cut it in half to install it. Do u think i will have the same issue with tangling? I have not seen to many reviews of this hair on youtube.

Angela Taylor: What products do you put on your crochet hair to keep it moist and full? Mine always gets dry and frizzy

Irene: Love that hair it looks sooo good on you!! So bad it did not work out. Did you revisit the hair as you stated on the video

House of Luxurieux: Hi. I love your tutorial. I have this hair in now. How do you detangle it?

Ronni j: I think it looks great!!!

Timeka Simone: Very helpful tips, thanx

Sincerely ThaPoet: That tip was Genuis!

Tasha Darby: I loved it Long prettyhair

myjoy1229: when you tied the hair up did you pinapple it? (flip forward and tie it with a scarf) that worked for me when i had kinky curly hair

ahsaki Braxton: I love this style i really wanna do it but im scared if i go to school people will call me out for having weave and ask me "can i touch it" "is it real"

Sawsan: Hello Jai Marii, I'm French, how many packets do you use to get this result? Thank you ☺️

CarrieBrooks: Basically its a radical pain...keepin it real...thanx!!

Alicia Riley: I used Bantu knot out and the end result looked like yours! I like yours but not sure if I like mine

Anjail Bakeer: If it sheds, that's an installation problem. Ur knots aren't tied secure enough. Maybe you meant breakage rather than shedding. But the tangling is annoying. Im gonna pass on it. It looks pretty

Chantal Clarke: Loveeeee this

Zunniet Cristobalina Gutiérrez Calviño: Amasing!!!!

La Reina: Thank you!

Audrey Smith: Can you do a video of how you do your braids??

Mya Lauren: Thanks for your honesty

Kay Kay: You shouldn't have separated the hair. Did you look on their website as how to maintain it?

Frobabyxoxo: Do you think if i made a crochet wig out of this would it last longer?

DomoNation: That’s a lot of hair in your head. it’s so pretty on you ... I would have never known you experienced those issues

Linda Moore: Was this hair easy to separate? Cause i have 3 bags and i really want to install it

M C: How long did you keep the hair in?

Porsche McGinnis: Can you get this hair wet?

Dee876: Spray with water and add some conditioner to tame friz..... or utilise moose

Samkeliso: Thanks soo much for bring honest

Miche Mich: does the hair stink after a while , the reason why I asked was because sometimes synthetic wigs stink. even after washing it

S: New Subbie!!

Eniola amoks: How many packs?

Black Girl: How many packs?

Sarku Roll: It looks like you're wearing foundation, damn, how much water I gotta drink lmao

Nicki Flint gold: Please how many packs were used?

NaturalKizzy: How many packs did you use?

Samantha Joseph: U put in to much I find that spacing it out a whole lot would be so much better.

kidablue: Miss...cause why do so much cutting..just do shorter hair!

kristinaa Mendy: You used how many packs please ?

Vanessaperessa: How did you sleep with this hair please?
