The weather has begun to heat up, and it finally feels like summer is just around the corner.  The new season is the perfect time to experiment with new hair trends and give your style and instant update. Whether you’re looking for a completely new look, or just want to tweak your existing style, 2018 is the year to be brave, bold, and get out of that style rut.

Not sure where to start? Here are three of the most popular catwalk hair trends for 2018 that you can recreate and replicate at home:

Soul Wig - Pure Power Human Hair Collection

Texture

Natural looking hair that worked with its texture, waves and curls, rather than against it, were the order of the day on the Valentino runway. In real terms, that meant long hair hanging around the face from a central parting in easy waves. This is very simple to recreate at home with a human hair wig that is long and thick: comb wet hair with a wide tooth comb and then allow it to dry naturally. Use a curling iron to add extra subtle waves to the ends of the hair as needed.

If you want to experiment with this kind of hairstyle but aren’t blessed with hair that is long or thick then good quality wigs would provide the perfect solution, allowing you to recreate this look with very minimal effort.

Beachy Bedhead

The beachy bedhead trend is always popular for spring and summer, creating a style that is effortlessly easy to wear both on the beach and around your pool when you’re fighting heat and humidity on your summer holiday.

For this look you want a real hair wig that is naturally full and wavy, but if not, applying a sea salt spray to your hair and then lightly scrunching and tonging your it will give the same effect. This is a look that was featured heavily on the catwalk at Givenchy and is incredibly accessible for women of any age or face shape.

The Low Ponytail

It’s the style most women have been throwing together on lazy days for decades, but now it’s officially in vogue: the low ponytail is this season’s hottest every day style. Spotted on the catwalk at the Loewe show, you can give this easy to wear and versatile look a fashion-forward update by leaving the scrappy hair elastic at home and instead opting for a velvet ribbon or leather tie to hold your hair in place.

If you wear a wig or hair extensions, there is a common misconception that you can’t wear your hair up, but that simply isn’t the case. Simply sweep your hair back into a low ponytail, rather than a higher and more root-revealing one, and opt for a snag-free hair tie to avoid causing any damage to the hair.
