What is Remy human hair? Remy human hair is when all of the cuticles are intact. When cuticles are inverted, that is considered non-Remy and can cause the hair to shed and tangle.

What are the different types of hair extensions? The different types of hair extensions are Clip-ins, Wefted Hair for sew-ins, Tape & Keratin hair for fusion, and Hand-tied for the Hand-tied method.

How do I style hair extensions? You can style and treat hair extensions similar to how you would care for your real hair.

Can I curl and straighten hair extensions? If your hair is premium remy hair, you can curl and straighten your hair extensions. We do not recommend heat-styling synthetic hair extensions.

What products can I use on hair extensions? We suggest sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Argan infused products are also great for hair extensions.

How to wash and dry hair extensions? Depending on the installation method that you are wearing, we highly recommend having your stylist shampoo and dry your hair extensions. In between salon visits, you can use a dry shampoo to revitalize your hair.

How to brush hair extensions? With curly hair extensions, we recommend brushing your hair extensions while it is wet to avoid tangles. Silkier hair extensions are fine to brush while dry. A Denman brush is suggested.

How do I choose the right shade of Indique Hair extensions? You should select a shade that closely resembles your natural hair. Most premium brands carry a 1B. Since the hair is virgin, your stylist is able to color it.

Can I dye/color my hair extensions? If your hair is in its natural state, the hair can be colored. If your purchase hair that was already colored, it can still be colored but should be done delicately. A colorist should color the hair.

Clip-Ins

What are clip-in hair extensions? Clip-in hair extensions are wefted hair with clips attached that allows you to clip it into your hair. It is temporary and should be taken out at night.

How do I clip-in hair extensions? To clip-in hair extensions, we recommend sectioning your hair with a rat-tail comb. Tease the hair that the clips will adhere to. If your hair is fine, you can use dry shampoo on those sections. Clip the hair starting from the back and working your way towards the front. It’s important to leave enough of your real hair out at the top to cover the last row of clip-ins.

How long does it take to clip in hair extensions? It can take between 15 to 30 minutes. The duration of the prep depends on if you have to manipulate your real hair to blend with the extensions.

Will clip-in hair extensions work for my wedding hairstyle? Yes, clip-ins are very common for wedding hairstyles. They are great for adding fullness and length without the commitment.
